Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good morning, Home💓 This small devotional addresses my thoughts over the past week. How wonderful to read this this morning.
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we, thine unworthy servants, do give thee most hearty and humble thanks for all thy goodness and loving kindness to us, and to all men. We bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we beseech thee, give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful; and that we show forth our praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to thy service, and by walking before thee in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen.🙏
A new day, a new beginning with fresh hopes that everyone’s lives will feel the never-ending Presence of Almighty God. Blessings to all.
Amen!
Amen 🙏
Good Morning Betsy ❤️
Gracious day to you, Cat💖 God be with you, my dear friend.🙏🌷
Good morning dear Betsy and Cat! What a beautiful prayer to start the day. I really need it before I go and tackle AT&T, trying to transfer to a different carrier.
Be blessed dear ones!
Hi grandpa just a note to say I’ve been enjoying all your happenings ❤️
💜 😍
Oh my gosh, G!!!! Is that what you’re doing?? We’ll never see you again!!😖
LOL! Mission accomplished! It took a bit over 2 hours but it’s done. Proud member of Patriot mobile.
The only conservative cell phone service provider out there. Since AT&T decided to jack up my rate that gave me the final push to move over. And will save me $70 per month.
The only thing left is to go get mom a new flip phone since the one that att had for her can’t be unlocked. I’m headed back to San Antonio to do that and spend the night there.
$70!!!!! A MONTH???? Worth the time then. So you did it on the phone and not in person? We’re finding anytime we absolutely must deal with a any big corporation on the phone, we can barely understand them, all call centres being in non English speaking countries. Nightmare.
Be safe on the heat, G🤗
Bet, I tried the store but they sent me to the phone.
Them multinationals are tricky. ❤️
Prayers got answered. Both Indian or Paki service reps yesterday spoke a very good English, and the guy this morning spoke like your normal Hispanic guy from San Antonio, so no problems there. Prayers were sent before the endeavor.
And the Patriot mobile people are US based; PTL!
And prayers answered clearly! Wonderful. There are times when I’ve dealt with multinational call centres be had to stop them and say that I’m sorry but I cannot understand them. Perhaps they are making certain their customer reps are fluent and understandable. In any event so glad your mission was completed successfully! 🤓 (this is actually me, because I wear specs)
Good evening, G. I had to get a new phone when we changed from verizon to pure talk. Could not unlock phone from verizon. We save $40 per month – not as good as your $70, but it does add up over time. This company much nicer to deal with than verizon. My hubby was on the phone for hours with Pure Talk and they walked him thru everything he had to do to change over. There was no problem understanding the lady that helped him. No foreign person!!
That’s good to know!
I’m glad I got rid of AT&T. Patriot mobile are Christian company. They also sent a copy of the US Constitution with their materials.

Happy Cursday, all
Good morning. Beautiful. Instantly touching.
Good morning Levi, one of our grandsons has a mild Asperger’s. He is one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever been around.
Fantastic. All kids are special. I learned that through my wife’s second half career where she worked with children at all levels across the spectrum of cognitively impaired and emotionally impaired. One of our favorites was a high functioning autism child. Absolutely terrific kid, now driving and in college.
He would drop by our house (before we moved) just to visit and bring goodies. The goodies were sometimes a gift and sometimes a bribe if he had an occasion coming up where there was something he wanted my wife to buy him. Usually because mom and dad wouldn’t. Which meant my wife would have to call them, let them in on the ask and ascertain they would be ok with the purchase.
Many of the children she worked with still call and text her. It was through her work and her loving/giving heart that I was introduced to so many beautiful souls. So I have immense appreciation for your “he is one of the most beautiful souls” commentary. I know how genuine your words and feelings are.
Beautiful Gramps. Of course I have that sense of you. Cheers!
Levi, the Lord has blessed you with a very special lady. It takes someone special to work with the children with special needs. It is not easy to do this kind of work, she has to be very loving and caring. Your wife and you have a special place with God. His blessings on you both. (big heart) I can’t do emojis on my computer.
Thank you Marti. She has a lot of Florence Nightingale in her. Very caring. She is an incredible lady and when I say lady, I mean the essence of a lady. Always. Never been a moment since we first started that I haven’t been proud to have her by my side. A smart man can learn a hell of a lot about life and love from a lady. I’ve done my best and so, when it comes to things outside of my professional area of expertise, I follow her lead because I know the intention is always good. Still learning.
And I agree with you on the types of people who work with special needs children. I’ve met so many as a result of my wife’s work. They are wired very differently. Watching them, listening to them and how they interact with the children is a learning experience in compassion, in all that is good about the human being. God bless, Marti. And God bless the children!
Levi, your wife has earned her wings. Our grandson is 19, just started his first job. When he interviewed they did a drug test. He had to pee in a cup. His comment afterwards was, “They asked me to do this gross thing, after that I had to wash my hands twice.” LOL! But he was a good sport about it.
He is about to start driving, too.
LOLOL, Perfect. God bless him and may he thrive in this world.
“And God said, “I will send them with no wings so no one suspects they are Angels.”
Who are we to say this is not so?🙏💖
In the space of things, this is what counts. . . 🙂

Oh my goodness, Garrison!!! What a wonderful surprise to start my morning (tears)!!! You wonderful wonderful man…thank you, my beautiful friend😘 I hope so much His grace surrounds you and your wife today and every day. Bet
Perfection!!! 🤗
Sorry I misspelled your name, Betsy. Dyslexia gets in the way and I can’t always see my typos.
No apologies ever needed on that…ever!!! Easier to call me “Bet”, as all my friends do…of which you are definitely one.😘
Good idea, John. We planted pole beans in our garden and the deer came in and had “free snacks”. They are all the leaves and then went to the sun flowers and ate some of those leaves. Have a picture of the deer looking straight at the trail camera with a big leaf in her mouth.
Gotta love it!
If you have any old eggs break them open around the plants, deer don’t like the rotten egg smell. Chives also keeps them at bay.
Good Morning, Leave, I never tried the eggs, but the deer just went around all my chives and headed for the beans. Guess they were hungry. Wish I could put pictures on here, I have a picture of my dog in the bush beside the garden and the deer standing at the end of the garden watching him. The trail cam picked it up.
Fattening up the deer for bow season……..good way to turn vegetables into meat!
Good Morning, Greg1, my husband uses a crossbow now, he used to use a long bow. Ha,ha, I could not even pull it back. Yep, good tender meat on the table. Well fed up here in the woods.
Grow Tara Turf instead of lawn, if you don’t want to grow ‘food’ !!!
Why? Tara Turf, mix of natives and what the wind blows in, unique to each zone, clover/sorrel/henbit/etc…., can increase crop yields by 80%.
MORE POLLINATORS = MORE FOOD
Bonus, Tara Turf improves soil, no irrigation, less mowing, no insecticides, no fungicides, no fertilizer.
Garden & Be Well…………………..great PIC !!!!
Happy Cursday, Treepers. After years without a dog, I’m thinking about adopting an elderly dog like pirate . . .
I truly believe our pets are chosen for us. At least our 3 dogs definitely were. Our second little boy, Tucker, a Chiweenie had been at our local shelter for over 6 months after being transfered to our local shelter from one in CA. Being over 5 his adoption chances were low. The shelter ran “pet of the week” in our local weekly paper and I just happened upon Tucker being showcased. I showed it to my husband and didn’t get much reaction. We weren’t even looking for a second dog. Later that day my husband is talking to our little mini dachshund, Ginger, about the cute little dog in the paper. I asked if he wanted to go check him out and got a “wellll, yeah”. We jumped in the car, including Ginger, and headed to the shelter. The shelter person took us into the kennel area to see Tucker. He was the saddest and nervous little boy sharing a kennel with an over top excited little dog. The kennel area was so noisy with all the dogs barking. I went to the gate, squatted down and softly said “Tucker”. He came to the gate and licked my fingers. That was it. We were taking this little boy home, period. The private meet and greet wasn’t optimal as Tucker wouldn’t leave his caregiver’s lap. Told them that it didn’t matter we still wanted him. When we got him home he was a totally different dog. Within 2 hours he was up on my lap or sharing Ginger’s bed with her. He knew that he knew he had finally found his forever home. He will be 15 this year and is still going strong, very healthy, happy and loving. I believe that since there are no coincidences that God chose us to give Tucker a wonderful home and family to be with for his remaining years. I know he is such a blessing to us.
Oh my heart!!!! What a wonderful story! And I so much agree with you on God’s part in the selection process🤗
Our other 2 dogs came to us in different and unexpected ways when we didn’t know we needed them. Ginger, a little mini dachshund about 5 was first. She needed to be re-homed and it just so happened we were handy. We had gone to visit my husband’s cousin in another city and their neighbor across the street needed to find Ginger a new home. We went over to see her and fell in love at first sight. Poor little girl was a mess. I don’t think she had ever been to a vet. One our way home we stopped at Petco and got her a bed, toys, leash and collar. She rode in the bed in the buggy and that first night in our home when we told her goodnight she went to her bed. Of course it wasn’t long before she was sleeping with us.
We got her in to the vet who fixed her up and she was with us for 7 years until metastisized cancer took her. She was about 12-14, never really knew. She was our precious baby and we thank the Lord for sending her to us. We miss her little self everyday.
I’m not at all persuaded by most comments about gun rights. Whenever there’s a spree-killer tragedy like Uvalde we are presented with a standard list of moral imperatives aimed restricting the ability of American citizens to arm themselves. Let’s cut through the shuck-and-jive—they want to confiscate guns. Period. The reason the Left wnts to confiscate guns is that they believe that the state should control its population. This isn’t possible when 400 million citizens privately own handguns and rifles.
Similarly, there are currently 20 million AR15 rifles privately owned by American citizens.
“Everytime there’s a prominent shooting, the Left demands that we take away guns from all the people who didn’t do it”
While the left has worked for decades to prevent confining mentally ill folks to institutions. I was in LE. You can’t tell me that teachers, cops, neighbors, co-workers, etc. didn’t have thoughts of “There’s just something WRONG” with that person before these disasters. We need to focus on identification and diversion of deviants and folks with mental defects.
Well the vindictive, well protected with guns House Las night passed legislation (story on Gateway Pundit and I’m sure elsewhere this morning), the provisions which include limiting magazines to 15 rounds.
And of course 5 Rs voted for it. I am afraid it will pass the Senate with at least two turncoats and who know how many other virtue signalling RINOs.
Here I am praying for quick lawsuits to end the traitorous and unconstitutional actions of a privileged class of people who want to leave the population stripped bare of the protection they demand for themselves.
Good Morning, Betsy, very well said. I saw that the House passed that legislation.
I think that if I can’t defend myself with the 15 rounds I better practice a lot more.
Good morning, Marti💖
I can’t tell you how this angers me. All of this has happened too quickly post Uvalde not to have been in someone’s desk drawer for a long time just waiting for that one moment when they could yank it out and act upon it. I’m getting more and more disturbed about this whole thing, if you take my meaning.
I take your meaning. It was indeed planned ahead of time. (large heart to you)
🤗!!
I had a conversation once with a government lawyer. He noticed I was wearing an NRA hat and proceeded to rather proudly tell me that he didn’t think anyone needed more than 6 rounds to use for self-protection. He said that with the assurance and authority of someone who was accustomed of saying that to the members of the Great Unwashed like me. He assumed that his lofty opinion would be accepted but I didn’t play along. I simply looked at him, smiled, and said . . . “If I’m being attacked how do you know how many rounds I’ll need to defend myself”? He was immediately stumped and didn’t have an answer. So much for govmmint’ lawyers.
Garrison, Marshal Dillon usually gets by with one or two rounds perfectly placed.
yeah, first round shoots the bad guy’s gun out of his hand and then he plugs him with the second, right?
Excellent question, Garrison ( on my feet applauding loudly!). My regard for anyone employed by the government is zero. Regard for their intelligence is even less. There is no answer for your question. Well done.👏👏👏
Absolutely!!! Disarm the people that have guns legally!! They might defend themselves from crooks and robbers and evil people. Love my guns!!!
First off, Good morning all.
Betsy
Was sleeping yesterday because this morning I do the Skokie route again. I did see that video and watched it. I then sent it to Tony Heller and he used it at his site. Here is the link:
Building Back Better | Real Climate Science
When I was sleeping we had tornado warnings and 70 mph winds. I slept through it all. Sherry told me about it when I woke to use the bathroom at about 21:00. Went back to bed and woke up naturally at 01:10 this morning. Drinking a cup of coffee before getting cleaned up to head up to Chicago.
When I get back I have 4 boneless chicken breasts that will get BBQed. First soak some hickory chips and then put them in my two smoker boxes that go on the grill. Initial cooking of the breasts done without sauce and starts when the smoke is really rolling so the smoke penetrates well. Then with the breasts maybe 3/4 done start apply Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce liberally. Mop several times.
Corn on the Cobb and rice Pilaf for sides. One of my daughters favorites.
You all have a wonderful day. I got work to do.
Friday afternoon I take my daughter back to the airport and she returns to Daytona beach. And for at least a month my home will have the patter of little feet again and I will have to relearn watching where I step because of the toys etc.
Your menu is mouth watering.
I discovered beer can chicken and love how easy it is, no need to cut up the chicken. Inject with garlic butter…one hour on pit.
Good morning, Bananas💖 I thought so as well. Now I’m really fancying a whole plateful.
Hello Bananas. Your beer can chicken sounds great. Wishing I had a plateful now, it is almost lunch time. ( smiley face)
Thank you, rah! I do appreciate it and will watch…once I get a cup of coffee in hand.
My gosh…it’s not dinnertime and I’m hungry just reading the menu.
What a gift you’ll have for a month! They will keep you young at heart, though the body may argue. But no matter. Lots of mental cocktails will be made and that’s no bad thing😉. And yes! Watch your step! If those “land mines” don’t include Legos or killer Jacks, you’re good.
I find that I’m too often angry about everything. I’ve been thinking of anything that might help me.
Just now, I was pondering things and thought if I would just forget what made me angry, then I wouldn’t remember to be angry about it.
It’s important to consider that righteous anger is a good thing. It’s okay to be angry about wrongful deeds as long as that anger (even cold anger) is used for good deeds.
Here’s the real problem. It’s the unrighteous anger that’s not so great.
I found an article that I would like to share about this. This one is very well written and very powerful in the Word of God:
https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/you-can-forget-to-be-irritated
In similar vein, while anger is a natural and healthy emotion, it is a secondary emotion. But it is trainable. In a bad way.
As we live through multiple anger events, we train the secondary emotion to take center stage. If you find yourself flying off of the cuff, it is proof that you have, through repetition, trained yourself to react with anger. That isn’t healthy. And it is bad for not just you, but for all around you.
If you find yourself in this state, you can deprogram yourself. But it takes effort. Now that you are aware, try to get back in touch with the primary emotional responses. The feelings you used to feel before getting angry. They are still there, unaddressed, buried under that anger. Consciously push back that anger. Delay it back to where it normally occurs. And train yourself both to accept it but not let it control you.
We can choose what we surround ourselves with. That is one of the things I like most about this open thread. Beautiful music, religious worship, heartfelt and heartwarming stories, beautiful art. So glad to have a refuge available.
On the other hand, we can choose constant aggravation. I used to be addicted to talking head news shows. Their business model is to provoke our anger. Keeps us coming back for more. Controls and manipulates us. Definitely not worth it.
Not that we should avoid all news. We should keep up to date. And we should act on the bad things that make us angry. But we should never let anger control us. And we should avoid the manipulative news sources that attempt to do just that.
The question to myself is always “Is there anything I can do about this (whatever unrighteous, inhuman, cruel, ignorant, freedom destroying, anger inducing) event or action that is taking place?” In every instant the answer is no. Outside of prayer that somehow God will intervene.
So in order to preserve my sanity and peace of mind, I must see myself as an observer. It is possibly the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. But if we have hearts and souls and even a spark of humanity in us, most times it is an impossible thing to accomplish. What I have come to have a deeper understanding of on an impertinent human level, is Christ weeping in the garden at Gethsemane. And that feeling for me as an observer of all that is sorrowful and wrong and evil is indescribable and very painful.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

Good morning, Sepp.
And let’s not forget St. Columba, exiled from his native Ireland, he found a home on Iona. He was the patron saint of Scotland until superceded by St. Andrew. Columba started the practice of consecrating and anointing kings when he did so for his friend Aidan, Christian king of the Irish people in Scotland. Columba died in the year 597, the same year Augustine was sent from Rome and landed in Kent.
The abbey of Iona has been rebuilt and once again there is a Christian community on Iona.
Blessings to all.
Good morning, Lonestar. You have inspired me to become more familiar with St Columba, as has Sepp with St Melangell. Thank you.
Good morning everyone. Busy day yesterday, looking forward to this day and being on my own schedule. Isn’t it wonderful to be on your own schedule instead of that of others? It is especially wonderful experiencing the sights and sounds of morning breaking without rushing. Or perhaps I am beyond the years of rushing. As such, my accelerated pace is more as they say on the Islands, I Rush Slowly!
Hope you all have a most beautiful day. Lavished in love and laughter. God bless ALL. Cheers!
God morning, Levi💖 we had in unexpectedly busy day yesterday with our son driving up for a neck procedure. Appointment at 2, wasn’t seen until 3:45, didn’t get home until 7:30. My husband went with him in case he couldn’t drive after. All went well and we are praying what was done will work. But the waiting is the draining part for everyone. Our son is on his way back home now, so it will be an easier day and I am looking forward to that first cup…no rushing for us, even slowly. Blessings to you, good sir.
Good morning Betsy and prayers of complete healing for your son, already delivered. Neck and back issues are the worse (IMO).
Looking forward to that first cup? How do you read and type beforehand? Head and shoulders greater morning function than I.
Thank you, Betsy, and, to you and yours, many blessings in return. Have a lovely day!
Thank you, Levi. He has severe disc problems as well, but it was his neck that was the focus of attention yesterday. And I do so appreciate your prayers for him. He’s only 41 but is an industrial HVAC technician who involves a lot of strenuous work, and it is very worrying. His company seems to be trying to get him into a position which won’t require the heavy duty things he normally does, and we are grateful for that. Bless you for your concern.
I don’t start empty handed. First cup is tea, sort of a kick start which allows me to begin pretty much the moment I’m up, though I’m nowhere up to speed. It takes coffee to do that😉.
Hi B – it sounds like your son works for a good company then. I hope it works out that he gets relief from the procedure and the work load. the HVAC part reminded me of NCH – where my son worked for a few years in TX, they were good people. Thanks for inspiring today’s music brought in by Garrison – it is really lovely and I’m enjoying. P
Good afternoon, parichite💖 His is a well known company, a big one. When he came out of the Nav he went to the oil fields. Then by the greatest most supreme blessing ran into a friend of his sister’s one weekend who had a small company in Austin. This good man took him on, while my son got his bona fides in HVAC, about which he knew nothing. Heck!!! I had no idea he was that way talented. After he finished his education, he kept working for them when one day, by chance ( or not) he was doing a job, and an executive from the company he works for now observed his work and (most important) the way he interacted with the customer and offered him a job on the spot. He’s such a great guy is my son that he worried about leaving a company that gave him his start ( he really struggled with it), but he was told a job would be there for him if things didn’t work out.
But as his company now is huge, I am surprised (and very very grateful) they’d try to make an accommodation for him. Deo gratias🙏
Weren’t those quintets lovely?? Just so joyous. And there is no one like Pepe Romero, whose four sons followed their father’s passion. Hearing them all play together in concert is really quite something else.
Dear Betsy, our sons went along very, very similar paths – I had no idea how inclined mine was to same/similar work – a very hard worker (if not smart) and the bosses loved him for his ability to interact with customers – he was promoted accordingly. After a few very grateful years for the opportunity, he made the difficult decision to leave to come back to New England; he really didn’t take to Texas (as much as his wife did:) The odd thing was, the day he called me to tell me he couldn’t take it anymore he heard from a friend that a General Managers position was open in the company he left when he went to TX – The job posted at 10:30 pm, that day, I helped him hone is CV (I know you know) – he posted it before midnight and he got the phone call at 7:30 AM the following day. The owner called him directly – offered him the job and the whirlwind of relocating started right away. We/he has been blessed to have had few injuries over the years, not unscathed, but fortunate. We Thank God every day for the abundance. (overflowing heart emoji)
Oh my my MY!!! Same script, different guys! That is an amazing story, parichute! You must be so proud, rightly so. There are no coincidences. (And yes I do absolutely know). I could tell you story after story about our relocation here after a blissful life in Blighty which would assure you there are none, each thread and the timing of its appearance confirming my deep belief that all is in (His) Hand, on His time table.
I find it very interesting he couldn’t take Texas, though for a lad from your direction, I could probably guess why. There are some huge differences between states. We have settled but still miss the scenery and believe it or not, weather in Wales. At any rate, I’m smiling at the similarities between the experiences of our boys. It really is quite remarkable! (great big ole Texas smile, ear to ear)
Yes, when I say back and neck issues are the worse I speak from my own and my wife’s experience’s. My wife has been caged and fused. in the lower back. I am told that fusing will be in my future at the cervical level.
Having seen what my wife went through, I wish back and neck issues on no one, not even my enemies. With her it appears to be hereditary. All siblings have had issues. However, occupation can certainly induce and exasperate a condition.
At 41 he is too young for such an issue. I’ll be tossing up another prayer of two that his company find a way to front office him in some capacity.
LOL on the caffeine. Now I get the picture. My day starts with a sizeable 4-shot Cappuccino. And, many evenings begin with a triple shot of the same. And yet, unlike some it rarely effects my sleep pattern. I count that as a blessing also 😉
Until tomorrow, cheers!
There talking about fusion but they’ve also discovered his lower back is starting to fuse itself. He is too young, but if he can’t function there may be no choice. We will see. And in the meantime told him prayers were up from my beautiful, loving friends, and he said to say that he really appreciates it💖 Thanks, Levi, for the double dose….a demain, my friend.🤗
Oh my goodness!!!! I just saw my typo!! But is it really a typo? Perhaps not.🙏
Mornin’ Betsy.
Glad to hear all went well yesterday. Prayers for your son’s recovery.
Blessings
Thank you, Lonestar. He’s my child who I know God has kept a special eye on, and perhaps assigned an extra Guardian Angel to watch over…and when I say I know, I mean there is no doubt in my mind of His mercy and grace. My son knows as well.
Bet, prayers for healing for your son. ❤️
Thank you so much, G. He has not failed him at any point so far. I sincerely appreciate your prayers.😘
Good morning, Levi.
Yes, it is. Amen.
Have a blessed day.

Then What’s Next To Do?
Everyone who asks receives… —Luke 11:10
Ask if you have not received. There is nothing more difficult than asking. We will have yearnings and desires for certain things, and even suffer as a result of their going unfulfilled, but not until we are at the limit of desperation will we ask. It is the sense of not being spiritually real that causes us to ask. Have you ever asked out of the depths of your total insufficiency and poverty? “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…” (James 1:5), but be sure that you do lack wisdom before you ask. You cannot bring yourself to the point of spiritual reality anytime you choose. The best thing to do, once you realize you are not spiritually real, is to ask God for the Holy Spirit, basing your request on the promise of Jesus Christ (see Luke 11:13). The Holy Spirit is the one who makes everything that Jesus did for you real in your life.
“Everyone who asks receives….” This does not mean that you will not get if you do not ask, but it means that until you come to the point of asking, you will not receive from God (see Matthew 5:45). To be able to receive means that you have to come into the relationship of a child of God, and then you comprehend and appreciate mentally, morally, and with spiritual understanding, that these things come from God.
“If any of you lacks wisdom….” If you realize that you are lacking, it is because you have come in contact with spiritual reality— do not put the blinders of reason on again. The word ask actually means “beg.” Some people are poor enough to be interested in their poverty, and some of us are poor enough spiritually to show our interest. Yet we will never receive if we ask with a certain result in mind, because we are asking out of our lust, not out of our poverty. A pauper does not ask out of any reason other than the completely hopeless and painful condition of his poverty. He is not ashamed to beg— blessed are the paupers in spirit (see Matthew 5:3).
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
The message of the prophets is that although they have forsaken God, it has not altered God. The Apostle Paul emphasizes the same truth, that God remains God even when we are unfaithful (see 2 Timothy 2:13). Never interpret God as changing with our changes. He never does; there is no variableness in Him.
Good morning FC. Eagerly awaiting word that those doors are opening for you, in time. Have a lovely day.
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Mark 9:23
Good morning, Cat💖
It is immensely reassuring and comforting, when all around are changes we can do nothing about, when we desperately need some part of our lives to be solid and unmoving, that the one thing that matters is and always will be immutable… Almighty God and His love for us. This Chambers sermon is simply wonderful.
Good Morning and have a blessed day everyone. Spiritually, I feel like a work in progress. lately the big wrecking ball is shattering all old thinking and habits. It’s quite a mess. Hopefully soon, I’ll be in the next phase. It stinks feeling empty all the time. Stand guard, my friends. Keep a watchful eye upwards ❤️ thanks for all your words of encouragement. It does help. Wishing to pass it on to everyone else needing it.
Live, laugh, love and sing praises to our Lord always ❤️
Perhaps, Cat, the house is being cleared so He and the Holy Spirit can move in. Lewis said that “the terrible thing, the almost impossible thing is to hand over your whole self~~your wishes and precautions to Christ.”
Is it that terrible? I know it is not easy. But he also said “If you want a religion to make you comfortable, I certainly don’t recommend Christianity.” Ain’t that the truth!🙏
I am with you in Spirit, Cat, as are we all. You are, I think, on a journey, but in no way travelling solo…on earth or in the heavens. I guarantee it.😘
I’ve debated whether to be presumptuous enough to recommend Lewis’s slim volume “A Grief Observed”.
But I’m throwing caution to the wind and doing so now. It is a cathartic book of his own journey which you may find a good guide to have on your travels. I’ve got a copy ready for mine.🌷
Good morning, Cat.
May you have a blessed day.
Good morning Lonestar ❤️
May your day be filled with blessings and may your garden grow in abundance ❤️
I’m praying for your rapid recovery Sundance.
I completely missed this upsetting news of his illness. And I pray that God, our Great Healer will restore him quickly to robust good health. Sundance is a great warrior in and for Christ. We and his family need him at the helm. I know prayers are going up in their thousands. May He hear us and heal this wonderful man.🙏
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

I realize that there must be thousands of miles of similar looking beaches, but damn that looks identical to the one I regularly walk, trying my best to converse with God.
Mornin’ comrade infidels.

Your post starts my day off by reinforcing my hatred, loathing and despising of OBiden and all that support him.

Dear God: We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID’s, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths.
What do humans understand?

I want to post this at CTH, but am kind of afraid to put it on the Presidential Thread. I posted that I found attacks against unpopular Trump endorsements ‘boring’. I was accused of being a bully.
Anna (from Alaska) often posts info that no one else has. I check in there daily just to look…

This one caught my eye

The D’Avila Family Trust and The Saint Germain Family Trust assets are meant to be a blessing to the entire world, and they will be, if everyone will just stand back for a moment, and let the trust Donors have their say.
Do any of you know anything about these Trusts?
I agree (as she points out) a lot of what we see happening in the world today is criminal – not political.
She doesn’t mention it, but I believe a lot of what we see (which many view as threatening, frightening and disruptive to our way of life) is the result of unknown actors taking action against the criminals.
Remember how many times has our President recited the Snake Poem?
If you have time to read this I would love your insights

more from Anna
“The vast stores of gold, silver, other precious metals, land, minerals, water aquifers, and so on, are actually owned by only two major Family Trusts and 5,000 smaller family and institutional trusts. The D’Avila Family Trust has been underwriting the governments for centuries, and The Saint Germain Family Trust has served the same purpose for The United States of America.”
With info like this I wish I were smarter
You do your best as person and share your relationship with God. Some will except it some will reject it but in righteousness you did your best.
Your victories will bring people up and others will shun them, it’s not a fault to be superior in anything. The world says it is, make peace with that because it is not correct.
matthew 21:44
Jesus excepted is enlightening, he breaks you apart like a plow thru hard ground for planting. Jesus rejected is the stone that crushes you to pieces.
If you understand that scripture you can see how hopeless we are without Christ.
You just do your best according to Gods word not your own conceit. The world says do as you think is best to others. You must learn the language before you can speak it. The world only knows it’s own jibberish, incoherent babel.
Amen

I wish we would all ask for Gods blessings on these in power. At every thought, “god bless Biden, Harris, Obama, Hillary. Let your very best rest on the FBI” a blessing is only a blessing if you are righteous. It’s not wrong to pray there change or demise., but it is effective.
Amos Hochstein, the Refried Obama administration killer of the East Med Pipeline, and anti-petroleum, is the pointman on this.
