Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good morning, Home _Is. Have a blessed Sunday.
Good morning, Home and Levi💖 I hope you both enjoy His abundant blessings on this day.
Good morning Betsy. Thank you and to you and yours! Cheers!!!
Good morning Betsy and Levi! May you have a blessed day today!
Good.morning, G. Up bright and early I see. You and your family have one as well😊
LOL Bet, bright – yes, early – not so much. 💗
😁!!! Early gets later and later for me. It’s a subjective thing.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
~~Ephesians 2:10~~
Amen!

Beautiful morning here at my central Indiana Home. Excellent sunset last night too! Yards are mowed and it looks like a park.
Good morning, rah. Enjoy the fruits of your labours. I bet it’s beautiful.
Yes it is. Steve and Betty take good care of their yard and field behind. It really is like a park, complete with shelter. Apple and pear trees, along with oak, silver maple, and sassafras.
Good neighbours are priceless. Blessings on them both🙏
Good morning, Flyover. Long ago in a bookstore so massive that walking into it it was impossible not to feel we had discovered an Aladdin cave of tomes no one wanted anymore and that no one could ever adequately go through
And there before us was a most marvelous treasure…a huge portfolio type book of everything Rockwell painted, including preliminary sketches. His works above all other artists of his and our time keep the memories of a long gone America fresh.
And while it is such a pleasure to look at his paintings one by one and marvel, I can barely do it without a tear or many, remembering what was…and is no more. Nevertheless I am so glad we bought it. Rockwell was actually an historian as well as an artist, though I very much doubt he recognized it.
Same here, my fellow Hoosier. . East Central Indiana. New Castle.
Markleville (south of Anderson) is where our post office is, but we aren’t in that little town.
God Bless America , 🙂
Gooduns, jay! 🙂
👍🏻😎
A blessed Sunday to you Mr jay🤗
And to you , 🙂
So lovely, jay. Who needs fancy vases when there is a pretty glass to showcase these gorgeous blooms? Reminds me of the good old days when life was simpler…and all the better for it. Thank you😊
“Thunderstruck” as performed by 2Cellos.
Especially fun with everyone dressed in period costume, including the audience.
Enjoy! 🙂
Good morning Phoenix ❤️
Thanks for this reminder. Last year I blasted it into the forest around dawn, I swear I thought all kind of birds and critters were buzzing near by wondering what critter was making such a roucus in their forest. 😂 😂
Curiouser and curiouser, Feral Cat! 🙂
Good morning, phoenix. I’m glad I wasn’t one of those critters.
Good morning, Cat. I can’t imagine!!😁
Good morning Cat! Guess someone of the critters were too sleepy to appreciate it. 😂
I am saddened by the fact that we have experienced such great evil in such a small city like Uvalde. We also experienced official failure that cost the lives of innocents. This is something we will all grieve about. While I feel obligated to mention it—how could I not?—I think it is appropriate to leave further discussion to another time.
What I wanted to do tonight is to provide a little space for solace. I don’t know about you, but when I’m feeling a lot of stress I find myself looking for solace. Sometimes it can be a moment, sometime an interlude, sometimes sitting on a gorgeous, pristine lake just letting the quiet soak in . . . Tonight I’d like to provide an interlude. The music of Eric Sate, played by Anne Queffelec, combined with the period paintings of Edouard Leon Cortes provides just such a quiet space for a solace inducing interlude. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I will enjoy it, Treepers . . .
Thank you. I very much needed that.
Good morning, Seneca. I’m so glad to see you here.💖
🙂
Good morning, Garrison💖
Yes, this well known piece by Sate is perfect for trying as best as one can to find that elusive but desperately needed solace. It is lovely and meditative and perfect. You chose wisely. Blessings to you and your beloved.
Hi, Betsy! I’m most pleased that Sate worked for you. I’ve a feeling that is one of the things he envisioned for his compositions. For that reason, I think his music is a gift to us all, especially now. Have a blessed Sunday, Betsy. (And that goes for everyone else too.) Solace and blessings go together so well . . .
Thank you so much, Garrison😘 It is a gift. Exactly what we all needed this particular Sunday of all Sundays.
Simply beautiful, Garrison. Thank you!
There is a small thing we could do to help the Uvalde community. The funeral home across the street from the elementary school has offered funeral services free of charge to the families of the victims. They are a small business in a small town. Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home in Uvalde – phone number 830-333-9036. I called to ask if they would receive donations to recoup their costs in this last week, and they said they would know more about donations by Tuesday this week.
Gov. Abbott’s office announced that a donor gave $175k to the funeral home. That’s a fine thing for someone to do.
I saw that. There are good people in this world. It sounds like something Mr Trump would do…and in fact has done. But whoever, a generous and overwhelming gesture.
Good morning Garrison! I’ve enjoyed Satie’s music paired with Cortes’ paintings while trying to recognize some of the places. It’s been 13 years since the last time we were in Paris.
I was introduced to Cortes’ paintings through these videos. Watching the video last night made me wish I could time-travel back to that Paris. Looking at his paintings you can almost feel the life he was seeing and painting. Great art is magical.
The Paris of your fond memories alas is no more. Quelled domage…and I mean that.
Yes, very sad… I have such a beautiful memory of Notre Dame. The very first time we were in Paris we just spent one night. When we got there we had a few hours to spend so we hopped on the subway and got to Notre Dame. It was about 6 PM and they were closing the iron gates of the cathedral. The little French guy that was telling the people to leave pulled us in and closed the gates behind us. As we walked inside the organ started playing and the priest walking by handed us communion. That was a clear sign from God even though we are not Catholics.
I was furious when the demons torched Notre Dame.
We’ve had so many God happenings in the cathedrals of Europe. Like in Luxembourg we sat in a pew, held hands and said the Lord’s prayer. As soon as we were finished the cathedral’s bells started tolling.
*salutes*
My former landlords business had a part time guy, PT cruiser with Korean war vet stickers of all kinds on it & always wore a vet hat.
He is a big guy 6+ feet, always imagine him as the guy above when I see this, except with a 50 cal machine gun.
He also survived the scamdemic, have not seen him since about Christmas was a wally world greeter til they eliminated the position and have him doing odd jobs now / garden center in warm weather.
IMO the BEST song for Memorial Day.
A better rendition IMO:
My eyes are leaking!
They’re supposed to! If they weren’t there would be something wrong with you.
My Navy vet son was standing somewhere during his service when a coffin was being transported home. There were many of his fellow sailors there, and they all stood at attention and saluted.
He told me later he could barely get through it, so affected was he, and I’m certain he was not alone among at his mates. Even in recounting the day to me, he was visibly moved. Once seen, never ever forgotten. It can’t be.
An honor guard for a soldier and his dog . . .
I swear, Garrison, just about the time I’m sure my tear well has run dry……..
Mine as well, AG, though I’d actually describe my leak as a torrent.
A movie I can highly HIGHLY recommend for this Memorial Day is the most heartbreaking one I have ever seen…”Taking Chance”.
For those who have not seen it or know nothing about it, Kevin Bacon as a serving Colonel requests to accompany a fallen soldier home, from Dover to his final resting place. Based on a true story, this movie, I feel, should be seen at least once by every American. There is no more appropriate time to search it out than now.
Also, I’ll stress, there is actual footage of the young soldier and the people who encountered his coffin on its journey, as well as the friends and family who received him in his small hometown, included in the movie. It was extremely well done.
Thanks for this rah. 🙂
I hope your having a great day Garrison.
God Bless Texas.
So many people mix up the reasons for Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day. I love this. It is a heartbreaking and reminds we all need to reflect on what was lost as the reasons why. Thank you for posting it.

Untroubled Relationship
In that day you will ask in My name…for the Father Himself loves you… —John 16:26-27
“In that day you will ask in My name…,” that is, in My nature. Not “You will use My name as some magic word,” but— “You will be so intimate with Me that you will be one with Me.” “That day” is not a day in the next life, but a day meant for here and now. “…for the Father Himself loves you…”— the Father’s love is evidence that our union with Jesus is complete and absolute. Our Lord does not mean that our lives will be free from external difficulties and uncertainties, but that just as He knew the Father’s heart and mind, we too can be lifted by Him into heavenly places through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, so that He can reveal the teachings of God to us.
“…whatever you ask the Father in My name…” (John 16:23). “That day” is a day of peace and an untroubled relationship between God and His saint. Just as Jesus stood unblemished and pure in the presence of His Father, we too by the mighty power and effectiveness of the baptism of the Holy Spirit can be lifted into that relationship— “…that they may be one just as We are one…” (John 17:22).
“…He will give you” (John 16:23). Jesus said that because of His name God will recognize and respond to our prayers. What a great challenge and invitation— to pray in His name! Through the resurrection and ascension power of Jesus, and through the Holy Spirit He has sent, we can be lifted into such a relationship. Once in that wonderful position, having been placed there by Jesus Christ, we can pray to God in Jesus’ name— in His nature. This is a gift granted to us through the Holy Spirit, and Jesus said, “…whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” The sovereign character of Jesus Christ is tested and proved by His own statements.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
There is no condition of life in which we cannot abide in Jesus. We have to learn to abide in Him wherever we are placed.
“And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.”
~~Isaiah 42:16″ ~~
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
Verse of the Day for Sunday, May 29, 2022
✟
“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psalms 25:9 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. Indeed, however we should be careful not to interpret the word “meek” as “timid” or “cowering” or “weak”. The correct word/translation is “humble”. Again humble does not and should never mean timid or submissive, rather it refers to a state of sober restraint, compassion and above all the wisdom to question and listen.

Good Sunday morning FC. To 46 years. Live, Love, Laugh. What an incredible blessing to have. Cheers!
Yeah, I remember hearing this feel-good song on the car radio. 🙂
Awww….you are the bestest family. If you can, lurkers and non lurkers alike, kiss and hug a special someone in your life today ❤️
Every day without fail.
Will do Cat, will do, like Levi says, every day. 😻❤️
Good mornin all,
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and Memorial Day.
Last night was the 74th running of the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway. The track is a 1/4 mile (measured on the inside) high bank asphalt oval. They put 33 sprint cars on that track that start 3 wide like they do at Indy. The cars on the first row are about half a straight away from the last row at the start. Makes for some really close racing.
The race is not 500 miles long. It is 500 laps which equals 125 miles. Long enough that every car has to refuel and change tires which is very unusual for sprint car races. This is one of a couple of races in the area the night before the Indianapolis 500.
They set a new track record last night. Fastest little 500 ever. Steve, my neighbor went, I didn’t. Stayed home with the kids that are visiting.
Here is what the start and some of the racing looks like:
I will be at the track in spirit on Sunday in stand A row VV seat 1,2,3,4, which is the pit exit, memorable times.
I believe it won’t be too long before they break the 250 mph milestone. The improvement in technology bringing greater driver and track safety will let them to turn them loose to allow the cars to run faster. No foreseeable technological advancement will keep the drivers completely safe and it never should because there has to be that possibility of the worst happening to keep the aura of racing. But it is amazing how far they have come.
I mean look at this: Colton Herta OK after terrifying Indy 500 practice crash – NBC Sports
Carb day crash like that and he’s racing today. Just a couple years ago the outcome of that crash would have been much worse.
Did you ever get to watch Thursday night Thunder on ESPN way back? Great track huge history.
Yep! Now days Steve has the pay channels for the racing and if we don’t go to a local race we watch them on the big screen TV he has in his barn.

Ricky Nelson made a comeback when he reached the top of the Billboard and Cashbox music charts with “Travelin’ Man”. He had placed eight consecutive singles in the Top 10 between 1957 and 1959, but his next four releases had failed to get that far.
29 May 1965
The Beach Boy’s “Help Me Rhonda” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first of two weeks. The song, originally spelled “Help Me Ronda” on the LP “Today!”, began to receive radio airplay and was soon re-recorded and issued as a single with the new spelling. It was the first Beach Boys’ hit to feature the voice of rhythm guitarist Al Jardine.
29 May 1971
Canada’s 5 Man Electrical Band enters the US charts with what would prove to be their biggest hit and signature tune, “Signs”. The song is still a staple of oldies radio in the US.
A rockin good Sunday morning to yo Rebel.
“So I took off my hat and said imagine that, huh, me working for you”
Kind of how I felt my entire career in the corporate world. I always said I was a blue collar guy trapped in a white collar world.
Have a great day. Cheers!
Have a Blessed Sunday, Levi!
Indeed
Good Sunday morning everyone. To those who are troubled, worried, in doubt, prayers for blessings of comfort and peace of mind. Hope you all have a glorious day. Cheers!
Beautiful Levi ❤️ may they all feel our hugs of support! BIG BIG HUG 💕
The VA maintains, according to a quick googledy goo search, 155 cemeteries, plus monuments and soldier lots. I get it that Arlington is a national monument. One would think, based on the media in my area, that Arlington is the only one.
I understand the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and all the fluff for Arlington and related swamp creatures.
I also understand local VA cemeteries have ceremonies, t00.
I want to see more noise from the MSM and local MSM, about the local VA cemeteries.
Hero’s are taking their eternal rest, locally, too.
Where is the VA on this? Silent, as usual.
Some gave all, all gave some. In the end, it matters not, as ‘ashes to ashes and dust to dust…’
But as long as the country is divided, one more to throw on the ash heap.
May they rest in peace with our eternal gratitude.

By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb. 9:12

Mornin’ comrade infidels.
They reject God! They are the ones that have pushed the false interpretation of the separation of Church & State upon us. Had the 10 commandments and crosses removed from the public squares. They are the ones that have pushed to remove “In God We Trust” from our currency. Removed prayer from schools. Etc……
They may pray, but it isn’t too God!
Amusing. If God a farce, why would they care? Hmmm. Must be something to it !!
Have a great week, Rah….and Godspeed all.
Teaching through Isaiah continues today with Chapter 52. I like this nugget in Verse 12:
“For you shall not go out in haste,
and you shall not go in flight,
for the Lord will go before you,
and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”
There is need to hurry or get impatient. Jesus is leading you and God has your back. We are surrounded and not by our enemies.
No need to hurry. Ugh. 65 years and I still can not proofread.
It gets worse for me each year, the typing and the ability to proofread. No worries, we’re not here to author whitepapers.
Have a blessed Sunday. Cheers!
“The average respondent believes it will take them 38 years to pay off their credit card debt”
https://www.studyfinds.org/americans-financial-struggles/
WOW…..38 years? That is a sad note. Debt is a heavy burden. One thing is certain, the banks have no sympathy for debtors.
Debt slaves! Thank God I am not one. We do most of our business with a debit card. We do have a few store credit cards for discounts but pay them off with the first bill. We have one Master Card for general use in an emergency but never use it.
Smart business there!

Just listening to an inner voice. 😉
Jay – Your inner voice is beautiful
We have been taking ourselves out for Sunday morning breakfast for several months now.
This is the 3rd time that an anonymous fellow patron has quietly ‘bought our breakfast’. Our waiter says ‘that person who was sitting there (gone now) bought your breakfast.’ Near as I can tell its someone who was eating alone – no thanks wanted.
different beautiful souls each time, near as I can tell. The one this morning paid for the older couple sitting nearby, too.
Gotta admit – it’s humbling.
Makes a cold, rainy morning brighter
It looks like this witch may truly be dead:
Perhaps she can get on The View as a co-host. Or maybe “news” show will sign her up as their representative “conservative Republican”. Or perhaps, if they are still viable after the mid terms, the Never Trumpers will have a place for her. Because it looks like she couldn’t win an election for dog catcher in
Wyoming.
We can hope and pray.
Good monring rah. Have a blessed day. Cheers!
Have a great day Levi.
I do not believe a witch’s death is final until a stake is driven through then heart…..damn…..I forgot….she doesn’t have one.
I don’t believe that any Eulogy ever written captures the meaning of our Memorial Day better than that which Rabbi Roland Gilletsohn wrote for the dedication of the 5th Marine cemetery at Iwo Jima. All the Americans buried in the graves there have been extracted since and returned home. But pieces of bones still remain.

This Memorial Day I mourn for America as well as those men who died for her (Great Grandpa Jake.) Last evening as I watched our God given TRUMP in Wyoming, the camera lit up a bison image. I began to sob.
That good old bison
Tornado deaths.
An hour ago I filled my 8 lb. bird feeder. When I fill it I broadcast seed onto the ground around the trunk of the now dead spruce tree it hangs from. I now have 3 pairs of morning doves on the ground feeding under the feeder eating their dinner. I swear they nest close enough that they can see me cast out the seed for them.
One of our dog likes to clean the birdseed from the ground under the feeders.
We have several pairs that frequent our feeder along with a larger pair of collared doves. Seeing all the different birds enjoy the feeder makes my heart glad. This year for the first time a scarlet tanager, indigo bunting and rose breasted grosbeak joined in. I love getting to see what new picture of creation God is going to show me each day.
