Scott Morrison, however, failed to reprimand the state leaders nor did he provide consequences when the state premiers overstepped their authority. At any point, he could have done more than simply say ‘the federal government doesn’t support this.’ The prime minister was responsible for securing the vaccines, ordering them etc, and then the actual roll out was the responsibility of each state to administer. The problem was that the very, very left-wing media accepted the bs excuses from the state leaders whenever they messed things up. The state premiers would blame the federal govt, and the media were all too happy to participate in that. Scott Morrison didn’t help himself either. He simply let the premiers get away with what they were doing. And he’s now paid for that at the federal level.

Sadly, as I repeatedly comment, people often get the bad leaders they deserve rather than the good leaders they need. This is one of greatest weaknesses of democracy: every citizen over a certain age – say 18 – being allowed to vote without being able to identify the main strengths and main weaknesses of the candidates. The choice is not left to those who have some life experience and have proved themselves to be responsible citizens. For starters the voting age could be raised to 30 and limited to those who are gainfully employed. Perhaps politicians should be chosen from those who have worked some years and proved themselves to be capable, responsible and honest.
The Founders had that bit figured out pretty well.

As GB News has shown, the Johnson UK gov’t (for example) is slow walking justified compensation and avoiding public acknowledgement of coroner certified deaths as a result of the mandated vaccinations.
