Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good morning, WP💓 Especially did I feel reassured with the prayer at the end of this small sermon. It has and will always be in place.
“To trust God in the light is nothing, but to trust him in the dark…that is faith.”
~~Charles Spurgeon~~
My Love from the Star – Love Always Runs Away – Lim Young Woong
“My Love from the Star” is a Korean drama which tells the story of an alien who has been on earth for 400 years without making an attachment but just before he must return, he falls for an actress. She doesn’t want him to leave but he’ll die if he stays, so she has to accept it. He leaves and works at returning for minutes at a time until, finally, he manages to stay for longer and longer times. Gives a new meaning to “long distance relationship.”
This was an experiment. The song is in Korean but all the translations I’ve seen were jarring in trying to read words that didn’t match the syllables or stress I was hearing. So using the various translations to get a notion of how much leeway was allowed in translating, I tried my hand at subtitling to get something in English which sounded more consistent with the Korean sounds. Felt like one of those anti-alzheimer’s puzzles.
Mary , So Beautiful , Thank You ! 💐
I’ve been wanting to make that song since I first heard it, but the show it was from was awful. Suddenly realized I could do it for My Love from the Stars, instead, and was so pleased. I did a lot of research in 18th century poetry, working on stressed and unstressed syllables and it finally felt like I was making some use of what I’d learned for all those years in trying for matching subtitles. FUN!
Mary , Your Enjoyment and Love for Your Craft Really Shows in Your
Work !
Many Thanks for Sharing it with us 🥰
That’s number 904! I was just invited to a virtual book publishing party for an academic book on fan music video making. There was a chapter that talked about the Mary Van Deusen School of Videos! Basically narrative videos – storytelling. Fun memories of so many people I’d taught over the last 40 years. And who are so much better than I am! That finally got me off my duff again.
This style works for so many things, not just TV shows. You can take the photos of your parents and find a song that tells their story. You can gather up objects that are symbolic of the people that you love. With a music video, you can share what is important to you in 3 minutes. You can say things in a way that will make others take the time to listen to you. And as we age and the memories fade, it’s 3 minutes that can bring back such deep happiness.
Thank you, Mary. What a pure voice he has!
YES!! I’ve had to listen to his voice SO MANY TIMES in order to make the video, but I’m STILL going back and listening to the song again and again. There’s a gentleness I find calming.
Tonight I will go to the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. After Mass, the Eucharist will be removed from the sanctuary and taken in a procession around the church, and then out the door to the altar of repose in the rectory. The deacons and priests will utterly strip the altars and the sanctuary. Every candlestick, every piece of linen, everything will be removed.
It is the most moving, heartbreaking service I ever have been to. A fine way to begin the Easter Triduum.
For some reason, though I really do know why, this approach to Good Friday has left me feeling more bereft than ever before. I pray that the joy of His resurrection will correspond in equal measure. 🙏💓
Feeling bereft going in to Good Friday is the whole point. That’s how you truly prepare yourself for the joy of the Resurrection.
Yes, it is. It’s the palpably increased intensity of the emotion that has truly overwhelmed me. I am experiencing it this year as never before. All blessings to you, Menagerie.
The joy and celebration of Christ’s victory will be all the greater, all the sweeter, Betsy.
Exactly so, aDoozy. And amen for that!😊🙏
We have the same end to the service in our Lutheran church.
Maundy Thursday is the day on which Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples–the Last Supper.
The word Maundy is originally from the Latin word for “command”. Jesus commanded his disciples to eat his body under the bread and drink his blood with the wine. We remember what Christ accomplished through His life and death, and we receive the forgiveness of our sins through the Sacrament of the Altar.
At the end of the service, the lights in the sanctuary are turned way down. The organist stops playing. Women on the Altar Guild come out to the Chancel area, one or two at a time, and silently begin to remove the candlesticks, Bible stand, paraments (cloths) from the altar and from the pulpit and lecturn. It is very somber. When they have finished,, the congregation gets up bit by bit and exits the sanctuary, then the church building, without talking.
It is emotional for me–Christ’s suffering and death as payment for my sins–hits my mind and soul hard.
Praise the Lord! Amen
Happy Cursday, Treepers! Pet your puppies for me! My neighbor down the street has acquired a new dog, a mixed-breed street puppy about 1 year old. This is the sweetist dog. I was immediately captivated by this completely joyous dog. It’s often said that rescured/adopted pets can show great love for their “new” people. We don’t know what this dog’s life was like—she was abandoned, ended up in a shelter and was adopted by my loving neighbor and her husband, both of whom love dogs. She obviously loves her new people and is friendly to everyone she meets. Sometimes you get the dog but, then, sometimes the dog get’s you. I really miss our Sweetie. I really miss having a dog. 🙂
I am so very sorry, Garrison, about Sweetie. Understand completely. We took in a rescue dog and husband was bit once and me twice. But we worked with the pup until he calmed and then he became completely dependent. The vet made us absolutely joyous by saying Toby had become a happy dog. It wasn’t until we lost him that I learned that it wasn’t Toby that had become dependent on me, it was me who had become dependent on Toby. Those precious years we had Toby and you had Sweetie will never be forgotten. Any stories that you’d like to share would be much appreciated.
Sweetie was just perfect for us. I found her at a favorite resturant while eating on their patio. There was a border collie stray that the staff were kindly feeding. She came up to me, put her head on my knee and we instantly bonded. She was with us for eight years and passed gently at home. I knew she was fading, picked her up and put her in her favorite spot on the porch. I petted her, told her she was a good dog . . . and a couple of hours later I checked on her and she was gone. When much loved pets die they leave an emotional hole in your heart. 🙂
My heart to yours.
🙂
They do leave a quietness, but Sweetie, the way I see it, went back to her Creator. And that sadness takes time to lessen. They are truly family. And their lives are so short.
All dogs go to Heaven! 🙂
That is a comforting thought. We will see our fur babies again when we get there too. Miss my Sam and Mary tremendously. Still look for them, they were always by my side. Aggiegirl is right, it takes much, much time for the sadness to heal.
Or as I’ve seen it put so many times…too short, their only fault really.
I’ve had many good dogs in my life, one of my favorites was Dusty, a friend of mine gave him to me when he was only a couple of months old. He always met me at my truck when I got home from work. One day I pulled up and he came out to see me, I petted him and he went back in to the house through the mud room door. as I walked in towards the back door I looked over and the door was open and he was laying just inside and I knew right away he was gone. I was overtaken knowing that he waited for me to get home. He lived almost 14 years.
That’s made me cry for a lot of reasons…anyone who has ever loved a dog will understand.💓
Thanks Betsy, I always enjoy your posts
Thank you so much, Tim.
Our pets are part of our families – our home life, our hearts.
🙂
Good morning, Garrison💓.
I saw this and thought of you.
Never leave home without a kiss, a hug, and an “I love you”. Then remove the dog hair from your mouth as you walk to the car.
I expect these good people will be doing a lot of that. And oh how I know exactly what you mean. We have no dog anymore either. But we co-parent on occasions wth our daughter’s sweet Maggie (The Mags), as we will do this weekend.
Doing so will turn our house into a home for a few days…just as it used to be with our Penny…sigh..
Good morning, Betsy! Our daughter and SIL, and kids just acquired a new puppy. It’s a long “drama” but they ended up with the puppy. she is the dog #4 in the household but in a couple of months our oldest grandson and his wife will be moving to their new house with their dog, so it will be back to 3 dogs. 🙂
I won’t be posting much today.once we start running it will be non-stop. A funeral for one of the neighbors across the valley at 10. Then meeting the hospice nurse at 1, then taking an old ranch truck to my mechanic 40 miles away. After that picking up the nipper at 3:30 from school for a birthday ice cream. Today is his 7 birthday, insulin shot for stepdad at 6 and finally church at 7.
‘Broke sweat just writing all this. 😂
Blessings!
Stay focused and be careful on the roads…don’t drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly. And prayers on the way for the neighbor.
Ha, ha, I have that visor pin somewhere, I think it is in my old ranch truck. Actually, my trip to the mechanic got postponed so I have a little breathing room. The funeral was at a little cemetery half a mile down the road, so far no need for speed. 🙂 Oh, and the hospice nurse came and went already so I’m halfway through my schedule already, PTL!
Good morning, G💓 A day for you full with some sorrows but joys as well. I am worn also reading your itinerary!! I’m sorry for your neighbour and his family. The Holy Spirit will be amongst you all I pray.
I do hope Nipper will enjoy his special day. He’s the same age as one of my grandsons. And I’m so glad for you that one of His blessings is that you are there to watch him grow. I don’t know when it happens but suddenly they are not small anymore. Little by little, then all at once. One of the things about being a grandparent, I think, is that we have a chance at do overs. So busy when our own children were little that, speaking for myself, I know I missed a lot. Now with theirs, I have paid attention to each and every little thing so that my memories are full to overflowing. I’m so grateful for that.
Take care, G, and all blessings to you, your family, and to those who mourn today.🙏💓
Thank God for do overs, Betsy, I was in the same busy boat, though I tried to have some balance between work and family.
The funeral was a sweet goodbye after 61 years of marriage. The last few years Thad was suffering with dementia.
He’ll be waiting for her, G.💓 Of this I’m sure she’s certain🙏
There was a 1939 black.and white movie which I’m pretty sure you could access somewhere called “On Borrowed Time”, in which Lionel Barrymore traps Death up in his apple tree and vows to hold him there until there is no more dying. It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Sweet, bittersweet, well worth seeing if you ever come across it. The funeral you attended today made me think of it.
Oh, and there’s a little boy in it that might in some ways remind you of Nipper.😉
Howdy pop, I’m up for a nipper lesson whenever ya ready.
Good morning, M!!💓 I expect your avid pupil, Nipper, is as well. Children have incredible enthusiasm. Blessings to you, my friend.
Goodaye son, it will have to be next week. Today we are just feeding him sugar and hading him back to his parents, Ha, ha,ha (rubing hands with an evil laugh)!
🤣
That’s what grandparents are for!! Especially on birthdays!😂😂😂
Hi! Happy to see you!!
Happy to see you, too, little sis! I got a few spare minutes in the middle of the day to check the OT thread. 😉
Good morning, Betsy! I see their new dog every day when my neighbor take her for a morning walk. As I mentioned this one year old puppy just radiates joy when she’s out with her person. 🙂
I’m so happy that you have a neighbor pup Garrison; giving you the opportunity for a personal ‘petting moment’ when possible. Close, but not underfoot.
Hi parichute. When we bred our dog and had a litter of puppies, a friend of ours would come visit and hold each of the babies. She came often, said it was her “puppy fix for the week”. She has dogs of her own, but need to pet and play with the puppies. It was good for her and good for the pups.
It is really good for Garrison to have a ‘petting moment’ with the neighbors dog and it is good for the dog to be socialized with other people. A win win situation.
Can’t help feeling the joy with the mental picture I get with your description, Garrison. That lucky, lucky darling just knows she’s found her home.🤗
That’s my impression, also. Because of their long association with us, dogs—as best they can—try to express human like emotions. That’s good for them, of course, but it’s also good for us. 🙂
Amen, sir!!! A symbiotic relationship of ever there was one.😊
God Bless You, Betsy! Have a wonderful weekend with the Mags…!
Thank you, AG💓. She is loved here and knows it. She’ll miss her “mother”, but as surrogates, we are more than acceptable to her.😉
Garrison, Losing a dog…is very hard indeed. They fill one’s lives! They leave a hole in one’s heart. I hope you are able to get another….
Congrats to your neighbor and the new addition to the family! They will be highly rewarded! I can attest that yes, they know when they are rescued into a better life and appreciate it.
Its been a week since I sent my little sheltie to the bridge…he was a ‘took him in, to keep him from going to shelter’ where he would have been traded off as an un-trainable useless eater…with training and consistency, he blossomed from fearful and aggressive bullying to just ‘reactive’. Sadly, I was one of a very few he trusted…other than me, it was conditional for others…
You work with the ‘dog you have’ and you will be rewarded with loyalty and devotion. His history was filled with abuse. He had none of that from me just a soft touch and loving words.
Right now his ‘little brother’ and I are learning to live with out him. I can tell he is lonely, and I see a newbie in the future but not now. The little guy is missing him in some respects but in others, has relaxed.
God Bless all Animal Lovers! I wish much love and many years for your neighbor and their new ‘friend’. Dog spelled backwards, is “GOD”.
You’ve been on my mind, AG, over the past few days, knowing the adjustment you’re making.
Dogs just know. I do believe they make as deliberate a choice in to whom they give their loyalties and undying affections as do the people who choose them. The one you’ll eventually (I’m so sure) take into your heart is already out there. It’s just a matter of time. God will tell you, as He always does.💓🙏
Interupto me,
Your one hell of a smart woman Betsy T, my bird post you understood perfect.
The only response was yours, extremely astute you are.
I really didn’t think that anybody would see through the poignant not descriptive side, you seen exactly my “Cryptic” ment.
I have further in my mind understand that you understand my past posts.
Never beat a little whilst calling him stupid, that little boy now can hold his own whereabouts unknown.
I do Remember, tis Good Friday here now, and I get the chance to get in first with you mob, ha,ha, boomerang sent.
Today: being a meataterrian (no hides) !
I am ok, I took up smoking again as an old mate died on a motorcycle caused by a drug f*cked zombie.
I bought lots of beer too.
The 30 mile away shopkeeper whom I get along well with, said he had some “fish” for me!!
Never have I spoken theology to this man !
Turns out he had for me “smoked cod” you boil it,
The poorest food fishwise when a child was “smoked cod” I like it, allways have.
Being half pom you know now my first feed for this Good Friday.
Mungrel forgets nothing !
Oh my, Mungrel💓
More coming…. I posted along answer but edit time of me…incoming.
I’ve always thought the smallest blessings were, in fact, the most beautiful…except for the Greatest Gift of all. There’s a message in that gift of smoked cod, and I’m certain you see it. I know I do, even at a distance (physically that is).
The meaning of your bird post hit me straight away. It was a very powerful and beautifully comprised one, and I could see those birds hanging on for dear life. As we all do sometimes, but now as never before… in our lifetime anyway.
I’ve known many people, M, but I believe you are the most amazing man I’ve ever met (after my husband, of course, who is very similar to you). On this heartbreaking (your timeline) Day of Inconsolable Loss, I give thanks that you discovered this place. I always felt this thread would be your natural branch in the tree. And I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. We at our age can ill afford to lose our mates. But in the way that you lost him? I can’t find the words. I’ll offer my prayers for his soul and for your comfort.
I’m happy to jump back in here and see your post. All the best to you, dear friend. Stay safe and look forward to the day when the Bless-ed Christ is once again amongst us with the promise of eternal life… what greater gift is there? 💓🙏LBT never changing.
M. saying a prayer for you for God’s comfort on the loss of your mate. May you feel His loving arms holding you.
I’ve always had dogs but my wife was a cat lady (!) so when we got married we had cats and then dogs. One wet, stormy day she rescued a abandoned little terrier/poodle (tootle??) mix who was like your sheltie. Scamp liked us and liked the kitties just fine but was aggressive to just about everyone else. (I had to put up heavy chicken wire to keep him from going through the screen to get at the postman.) Sadly, he died from throat cancer. He’d only been gone a few months when Sweetie came into our lives.
I’m really enjoying the mood you created with this trilogy this morning, Garrison. Thanks!
Can’t beat the original Blues Brothers movie. You can see the light! 🙂
Haha, I used to be a nurse at old Joliet Correctional Center and the oatmeal, at the Cook Co. ‘slammer’–and I knew inmates who have had it!
One of my dogs had ‘rhythm and blues’ in their name and hence the 2 became known as “The Blues Brothers”.
I walked the cell house with the “never too late to mend” sign…ah memories…
Along with Rocky Horror one of my favorite movies.
Someone elsewhere accurately observed with the price of eggs skyrocketing, we’ll soon have to refer to them as Fabrege eggs.

Crazy Love
O SACRED HEAD NOW WOUNDED
Surely he has borne our sickness
and carried our suffering;
yet we considered him plagued,
struck by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
and by his wounds we are healed.
— Isaiah 53:4-5
1 O sacred Head, now wounded,
with grief and shame weighed down,
now scornfully surrounded
with thorns, thine only crown!
O sacred Head, what glory,
what bliss till now was thine!
Yet, though despised and gory,
I joy to call thee mine.
2 What thou, my Lord, hast suffered
was all for sinners’ gain.
Mine, mine was the transgression,
but thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Savior!
’Tis I deserve thy place.
Look on me with thy favor,
and grant to me thy grace.
3 What language shall I borrow
to thank thee, dearest Friend,
for this, thy dying sorrow,
thy pity without end?
Oh, make me thine forever,
and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
outlive my love to thee.
4 Be near when I am dying,
oh, show thy cross to me,
and for my rescue, flying,
come, Lord, and set me free!
These eyes, new faith receiving,
from Jesus shall not move,
for one who dies believing
dies safely, through thy love.
The original 11 verses:
1. O sacred Head, now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down,
Now scornfully surrounded with thorns, Thine only crown;
O sacred Head, what glory, what bliss till now was Thine!
Yet, though despised and gory, I joy to call Thee mine.
2. What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered, was all for sinners’ gain;
Mine, mine was the transgression, but Thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Savior! ‘Tis I deserve Thy place;
Look on me with Thy favor, vouchsafe to me Thy grace.
3. Men mock and taunt and jeer Thee, Thou noble countenance,
Though mighty worlds shall fear Thee and flee before Thy glance.
How art thou pale with anguish, with sore abuse and scorn!
How doth Thy visage languish that once was bright as morn!
4. Now from Thy cheeks has vanished their color once so fair;
From Thy red lips is banished the splendor that was there.
Grim death, with cruel rigor, hath robbed Thee of Thy life;
Thus Thou hast lost Thy vigor, Thy strength in this sad strife.
5. My burden in Thy Passion, Lord, Thou hast borne for me,
For it was my transgression which brought this woe on Thee.
I cast me down before Thee, wrath were my rightful lot;
Have mercy, I implore Thee; Redeemer, spurn me not!
6. What language shall I borrow to thank Thee, dearest friend,
For this Thy dying sorrow, Thy pity without end?
O make me Thine forever, and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never outlive my love to Thee.
7. My Shepherd, now receive me; my Guardian, own me Thine.
Great blessings Thou didst give me, O source of gifts divine.
Thy lips have often fed me with words of truth and love;
Thy Spirit oft hath led me to heavenly joys above.
8. Here I will stand beside Thee, from Thee I will not part;
O Savior, do not chide me! When breaks Thy loving heart,
When soul and body languish in death’s cold, cruel grasp,
Then, in Thy deepest anguish, Thee in mine arms I’ll clasp.
9. The joy can never be spoken, above all joys beside,
When in Thy body broken I thus with safety hide.
O Lord of Life, desiring Thy glory now to see,
Beside Thy cross expiring, I’d breathe my soul to Thee.
10. My Savior, be Thou near me when death is at my door;
Then let Thy presence cheer me, forsake me nevermore!
When soul and body languish, oh, leave me not alone,
But take away mine anguish by virtue of Thine own!
11. Be Thou my consolation, my shield when I must die;
Remind me of Thy passion when my last hour draws nigh.
Mine eyes shall then behold Thee, upon Thy cross shall dwell,
My heart by faith enfolds Thee. Who dieth thus dies well.

Thanks, VibeMan
Good morning, 1530. I am reading through Isaiah right now. Have been slowing down and checking the interline area Bible for the Hebrew of some verses.
For example yesterday while reading chapter 26 I found out that verse 4 where it’s translated ‘for Yah the Lord is everlasting strength’ the Hebrew says YHWH is tsur olam, the Rock of Ages.
Looking at the Hebrew has really enriched my understanding of the OT.
That should have been the Interlinear Bible. Autocorrect strikes again, that’s what I get for not tripple checking my iPad.

Inner Invincibility
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me… —Matthew 11:29
“Whom the Lord loves He chastens…” (Hebrews 12:6). How petty our complaining is! Our Lord begins to bring us to the point where we can have fellowship with Him, only to hear us moan and groan, saying, “Oh Lord, just let me be like other people!” Jesus is asking us to get beside Him and take one end of the yoke, so that we can pull together. That’s why Jesus says to us, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). Are you closely identified with the Lord Jesus like that? If so, you will thank God when you feel the pressure of His hand upon you.
“…to those who have no might He increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29). God comes and takes us out of our emotionalism, and then our complaining turns into a hymn of praise. The only way to know the strength of God is to take the yoke of Jesus upon us and to learn from Him.
“…the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Where do the saints get their joy? If we did not know some Christians well, we might think from just observing them that they have no burdens at all to bear. But we must lift the veil from our eyes. The fact that the peace, light, and joy of God is in them is proof that a burden is there as well. The burden that God places on us squeezes the grapes in our lives and produces the wine, but most of us see only the wine and not the burden. No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God living within the human spirit; it creates an inner invincibility.
If your life is producing only a whine, instead of the wine, then ruthlessly kick it out. It is definitely a crime for a Christian to be weak in God’s strength.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
The great point of Abraham’s faith in God was that he was prepared to do anything for God.
Remarkably, Cat, I was thinking of just this yesterday. Especially Hebrews 12:6. This makes whatever small (by comparison to others’) burdens I may bear, understandable and endurable. That this piece from Chambers is what you posted today is simple affirmation of the truth of it. 🙏💓
Good morning Cat! May the wine I produce drowns any whine that tries to come out. 🥖🍷
Hi grandpa 🙋♀️ been reading how active you’ve been. ☺️ Cant catch up with you yet as you’re in the fast lane and I’m plodding along.
Wishing you and mrs grandpa a blessed Easter weekend now, in case we keep missing each other ❤️

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
My Shield of Faith is up today. With all the overwhelmingly oppressive plans being made for the destruction of our world as God created it, even unto the destruction of God Himself (as the acolytes of Satan think they can accomplish), we all need to polish our Shields and never let them fall.🙏
There you Are! So happy to see you on this Holy Thursday morning! 🙏🏻
Good morning,.Leenie!!! My counterpart “passing ship”.😊

How’s those Texas winds? Have they calmed down yet?
Today, yes…no winds. I won’t say thank goodness because they were heaven sent, and we never know what they are accomplishing. You know what I mean. It might even be the Breath of God. I’d like to think so.
Oh yes! The breath of God 🥰 my dad used to call it that ❤️
Am I O’K with your Tom now?
Scent led to back forest 😛
Hmmmmm….that’s odd. Mungrel’s nose best in country ❤️ perhaps it was the scent of my “hired”young un cleaning up some of my forest?
Been so busy 😔 by the time I catch up to you all, you’re gone. 😛 loved the visual of the birds 🥰 it’s right up there with my mourning huge blackbirds upon their discovery of their young uns demise as the best bird behavior observations, except yours is a happy one! And I’m 😢 you’ve lost another good friend 😔. It always happens to the good ones first doesn’t it? Now, don’t you go anywhere on me. I kinda like your soft fur. And slurps 😜 ❤️
Have a blessed weekend mungrel. Perhaps we’ll bump into each other soon 💕 and I’ll show you how I’ve been practicing, something like basketball but with dog parts. hint….. Search cat playing with dogs balls!😜
Later!!!!!!!!!
Perfect! So happy to see you!
Sitting on my porch, watching the woods turn that beautiful shade of light green! Welcoming back the dragon flies, the gold finches, watching the annual birdie mating rituals, the squirrels going nuts with each other in our “mating tree,” flowers poking out of the ground, new growth on the plants, “It’s a beautiful day and I’m happy to say I’m alive!”
Blessed Holy Thursday to you!!! Leenie ❤️
Hi Leenie 🙋♀️ I’m jealous ☺️ Only thing missing in your beautiful description are the bunnies boxing. And I Can’t wait to see the dragonflies. I love watching their dogfights! And the hummingbirds, have they showed up near you yet? You’ll get them first I bet, I get them later…I have to fit in constructing their new spa..I think jay? Showed us a video last fall of them that was so adorable, I just had to try to make one.
Think I’ve got a touch of spring fever! I must sound delirious!!!!!!!
Wishing you and mr Leenie a beautiful reflecting, solemn, blessed Easter weekend now, in case we don’t bump into each other beforehand! ❤️
Dear Cat, A blessed and utterly incandescent Easter to you and yours!!! (But first through tonight and tomorrow…)

The Bee Gees release “New York Mining Disaster 1941”. The song is unusual in that the title never appears in the lyrics, although the originally planned title, “Have You Seen My Wife, Mr. Jones”, is heard in the chorus. There actually had been a mining disaster in New York, but it was in 1939, not 1941. The Bee Gees would later say they were inspired to write the song by a 1966 Aberfan mining disaster in Wales.

At Abbey Road Studios, John Lennon and Paul McCartney record “The Ballad of John and Yoko”, The Beatles’ single that didn’t include George and Ringo. Paul played bass, drums and piano with John on guitars.

With only drummer John Hartman and guitarist Patrick Simmons left over from the band that reached #1 in 1975 with “Black Water”, The Doobie Brothers scored their second Billboard chart topper with “What A Fool Believes”.
The record, sung by Michael McDonald, would win Grammy Awards in 1980 for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Free the People, Lennon best, nobody listened !

It may be nothing…or as I said to my husband, its probably something.
The Great American Songbook………………
Mack The Knife. Originally, a German song composed for “The Three Penny Opera” in 1928. But in 1959, Bobby Darin put his voice to the lyrics and it became an American standard we all love. Darin got a Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Best New Artist in 1960. “Mack The Knife” was honored with a Grammy Hall of Fame Award and earned the #3 position on Billboard’s All Time Top 100.
Many singers have covered this number, but few have the coolness that Darin achieves……..
My dad, for a reason known entirely to himself alone, adored this song.
We used to occasionally go to a very nice private club for dinner when I was little, as a family. There was a small group which played music while we ate, and when he walked in, this group always played Mac the Knife just for him.
I do thank you for resurrecting this memory for me. It’s one of the few times I remember that something as simple as this song gave him so much pleasure.
A great song. Your Dad had good taste.
These songs trigger similar childhod memories for myself…..always sweet. My Dad loved The Mills Brothers. As kids we would stand on the tops of his feet and Dad would dance/sway to “Paper Doll”………..
Ahhhhhh…those were absolutely the days, UC!!! And the memories? Were we ever that young?😊
Love Mac the Knife.
The original lyrics in German and sung by Lotte Lenya are chilling.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

So even in their evil some good has come out of it. Glorious.
Moma Bald Eagle feeding her three eaglets then sees a threat. Probably another bird of prey. Screeches a continual warning spreading her wings to protect her brood. Dad returns with a small fish and then departs, probably to run off the potential threat. After he returns things settle down but both keep eyeing the sky.
Notice that the eaglets instinctively lay down motionless when the mother starts he warning screeches. And don’t start moving until afterwards.
This is not right! I just got back from the only run I’ll do this week and there are 8 drivers on the list ahead of me! Josh told me that there are only 7 runs not covered for Sunday and they had just started working on covering them and had a bunch of board runners yet to call.
Some of this could be because of what has been going on down in Texas with the commercial border crossings. But not all I think. The first hic-up in the economy may be what it is and I suspect that we’re headed for a deep recession.
Yesterday for only the 2nd time in my driving career I called in on a driver from the company I am working for.
At 01:00 I departed for the Toyota DC by the KC airport with a load of Toyota service parts. I arrived at 10:30 for my 11:30 time window.
Now we deliver there 3-4 times a day allowing 2 hours between trucks. When I arrived the driver that should have been there at 09:30 was just dropping the trailer he had brought. So he was running late.
I watched him pull the loaded trailer he had brought the hook to the loaded trailer he was to pull from the door. Then drop it and hook to the trailer he had brought and put it in the door a drop it.
He should have there and gone before I got there.
Toyota has strict safety procedures at their facilities. All trailers dropped in the door must have the trailer tandems slid all the way to the rear. The tires must be chalked and then a jack stand put under the nose of the trailer.
That driver dropped the trailer in the door with the tandems all the way forward. The Chalks they have there are the metal types with a handle. The chalk was laying on it’s side. He did not put the jack stand under the nose of the trailer.
Once he pulled out and left I pulled in and put the jack stand under the nose of the trailer he had dropped and properly placed the chalk.
The trailer he had brought was the one I was to pull once it was empty. I had to wait for them to empty it before I could pull that trailer. There is no excuse for that crap!
Once the trailer was unloaded I pulled it and dropped it. Hooked to the trailer I had brought and put it in the door observing all their rules and then hooked to the empty trailer I had pulled from the door.
Then I went to pickup a load of dry batteries at the place up in St. Joseph, MO. Loaded with 43,400 lbs of those batteries I went to the Loves truck stop there, the same one I was woken up by a CD siren a couple weeks ago at, and took my 10 hour break.
On the way back I had to deal with a dangerous toothless, knuckle dragger of a truck driver. As one approaches the merge onto I-465 W from I-865 the right lane ends. It is clearly marked and easily seen from well off. So I’m in the left lane and I look in my mirror and there is big truck coming up on the right. His lane was ending. I looked at the A-hole but he was looking straight ahead . skinny, obviously toothless. No way was he going to clear me before his lane ended and even if he did there was a 4 wheeler in front of me!
What does a professional do? Do you go on and try and make some point and have the A-hole possibly crash into you knowing that you have the right of way? Or do you back off! The answer is hit the binders and back off. It does not pay in any way, shape, or form to be hard headed in such situations. All it’s gonna do is possibly ruin your day and a crash at a choke point like that will be a very big headache for a lot of people. Besides that, the professional thing to do is to avoid being involved in a situation where company equipment could be damaged.
And so here I am at home. And it looks like I won’t be going anywhere earlier than Monday, if then!
rah, methinks it is only going to get worse. so glad you got home safely.

I am Israeli and a Trump supporter. I sometimes share here some things that are not published on American media and I think are important. Yesterday Israel achieved a breakthrough that will likely result in a complete change in modern warfare.
It won’t just put Israel in a super power military position but since Israel shares matters of national security with the US I believe that it opens the doors for the US to step ten steps ahead of China and Russian militaries.
To the point there was a successful test of the laser weapon and for the first time in history they were able to shoot down a rocket a mortar and a drone. This system can also be carried on airplanes and be used in the future for offensive purposes and possibly intercepting ballistic missiles. It’s a game changer for modern warfare and we, Israel and I am sure the US too will be ahead of the enemies.
you Israelis rock. now see what mossad can dig up on obama’s sealed records. also, see if you guys can get America back on track.
Thank you!
The Mossad is avoiding operations in the US or at least it seems so.
