Could just be me, I don’t see a problem. It’s a good rule. Our company was batted back and forth between Federal then State permitting agencies for years, all a game to justify not granting permits and one agency would approve, with the caveat, approved if the other agency didn’t have a problem, and they would play badminton with the permit application hoping the applicant would finally give up and go away. The Trump-era rule stopped those games in their tracks.
That means the majority, 6 justices, believe that the side for the Trump-era rule will win.

Bank records released by Republican senators this week indicate James Biden’s company, the Lion Hall Group, received payments from a Chinese-financed consulting group in 2018, before his brother Joe announced he was running for president. Grassley says that same year James Biden and the president’s son, Hunter, received monthly retainers totaling $165,000 — $100,000 to Hunter and $65,000 to James.
Grassley said his team obtained the records directly from the bank where the consulting group did business. He has spent three years investigating and described James and Hunter Biden’s business dealings as “very concerning.”
So, where were these bank records of year 2018 suspicious transactions 18 months ago when, along with the rest of the Hunter laptop stuff they would have definitely resulted in the reelection of Trump?

I thought a discharge petition required 60 votes. Was that done away with?
Hard to guess where your confusion lies. Discharge petitions are more part of House rules. They require a simple majority. Confirmations of nominees also is by simple majority in the Senate.
The only 60 vote procedure I know of is a cloture vote to end debate, which (on nominees) was reduced to simple majority in 2013.
Perhaps discharge motion would be the correct wording.
Senate Rule XVII(4)(a) All reports of committees and motions to discharge a committee from the consideration of a subject, and all subjects from which a committee shall be discharged, shall lie over one day for consideration, unless by unanimous consent the Senate shall otherwise direct.
I think this motion occurred Monday. It’s not clear to me what happened afterwards. I’m not certain but think the motion would be subject to debate, which would require cloture, hence three fifths (60) votes.
I thought the 2013 change applied to nominations other than Supreme Court nominations.
What I suspect happened is the motion to discharge from committee was not debated, it passed 53-47. Had it been debated I think a cloture vote – three fifths – would be required to end debate.

I didn’t n’t know anything about the candidates, but from a pragmatic strategy there are three tiers.
Tier One – Republican leaning districts. You definitely go strong maga here.
Tier Two – swing districts. You go with the closest you can get to maga and still win.
Tier Three – blue seats you want to flip. Don’t expect to have a maga candidate here if there is no chance. The goal is to flip the seat so Republicans control the House. That may be all you get. Hopefully, they will at least be 50/50 on issues. But the main goal is to do what you have to to flip the seat.
Perhaps that is at the heart of the Freedom Caucus support. I don’t know???

They took care of that on 11/3/20. Kemp is toast unless the swamp calibrates Dominion for the win. If he does that he’ll need to live in a different state.
Just got around to reading Miranda Devine in today’s NY Post describing in perfect detail the humiliation of Joe Biden at Obama’s visit . She details the whole video perfectly . Very good , her coclusions rang true -Obama is a self aggrandizing, narcissistic pr-ck , Harris is definitely NOT on Biden’s team , she acted like she was in HS next to the ‘prom king” Obama and Joe is so totally lost and humiliated, one might almost feel a little sorry for the “occupant” .
