Did I just hear NATO Stoltenberg from Ukraine just say Ukraine is in the forefront of DIGITAL PASSPORTS? Did she just say that out loud on Fox Business? I was busy not sure.

People say we need to stay with the GOP. If you point out Sen Murkowski in Alaska they say “primary them” as if the Texas primaries (Dan Crenshaw) isn’t the immediate example of how that actually works in the real world.
It’s not Murkowski. It is a large majority of Murkowski’s who elect another Murkowski (McConnell) as their leader.
They keep doing these choreographed vote failures to conservatives but we are unable to break free of them like an abused spouse who just can’t accept things will never get better.
Lindsey Graham was “scared” into backing off from his RINO tendencies because all the times he has been censured and primaried. So now he remains a senior, leading GOP senator and is publicly calling to assassinate the leader of a country with a nuclear arsenal larger than ours.
Every real world test of the GOP keeps telling us we have been conned and played for decades. And every real world test of “primary them” fails. Yes. In some special cases a single RINO can be picked off (Cheney maybe) but the vast majority win. When large numbers of RINOs quit in 2018 they were replaced by large numbers of RINOs. And now we are out of time.
You cannot vote them out. They make rules and they steal elections just like the commies. They are commie lite. If we could raise a few trillion dollars, maybe we could buy them. I’m sure they would go to the highest bidder. The other option would be to find enough dirt on them to do like the commies and use it to keep them in line.

Totally agree! Trump has really exposed how corrupt the system is and how many two faced RINOS there are in the Republican Party and in leadership. We are starting to vote them out and must keep the pressure on them. Not going to happen short term though. McConnell, Graham, and others just re-elected.
Not sure what can be done immediately. Maybe start a new America First PAC (not a fake one) and fund them to support America First candidates only. Do Not Send Money to RNC who helps keep establishment candidates. I know the RNC will get establishment funding, but I think we have to change from within the party.
I would love to just create a new party, but just don’t see how that would work. And, it would take time as well to elect enough America First candidates to get into leadership.

Retired Magistrate here: There is so much doom and gloom on this site lately. Yes, I know things aren’t the way we want them to be in this country right now. However, where I live the sun came up; it is going to be a beautiful sunny, chilly day, but no snow or ice. I managed to get out of bed which for me, is always a positive. My husband and I have chronic health problems, but we are still here taking care of each other.
I looked in the refrigerator and yes, there is food for breakfast. We have electricity so I can fix breakfast. Turned on the faucet and water came out and the toilets flush. The furnace is running and the house is warm enough. My car is running (just got my brakes fixed) so we will go out for lunch and support a local establishment. All good.
So, I am going to enjoy this day; the day that I have. Don’t know whether I will have tomorrow or not. Only GOD knows that. I can spend this lovely day worrying about things that may or may not happen tomorrow. Will that change anything for tomorrow, no, but it certainly will ruin today.
GOD is in control; we are not. Please enjoy the blessings that he has given you.

Retired Magistrate here: We are on a fixed income which means that economic nooses are tightening around our neck also. But like I stated for today we have many blessings that we should be very thankful for.

If it is so difficult, why not just ignore (turn off) all the news and enjoy your personal day? Don’t need to be totally turned off, but occasionally just shut the TV, radio etc OFF…..enjoy what you have.
I have neither TV nor radio. CTH is my one link to the outside world. I am a semi-single mother of two toddlers and an infant, trying to provide financially for my children while also being available to them and raise them – without dumping them in school. Feeding and providing for three rapidly growing boys is getting more and more difficult. So yes, it remains very difficult to be upbeat sometimes, news status quite aside.
I prefer realism to hopium. The MAGA doctrine is being watered down. I’m sick of hearing “there will be a republican sweep in 2022” when I know we will get the same RINO leadership even if a few MAGA candidates are elected and are not soon swallowed or re-educated by the swamp machine.
I am upbeat because more and more people are becoming aware as a result of the necessary pain. There has been no accountability of the wrongs Deep State and crooked Politicians.
I see it as ending for them and it is this I am upbeat. Unfortunately, we innocents need to suffer with them, but it is the price for obtaining and saving Freedom.
I can’t afford to pay someone to replace my starter motor … so I am disassembling half my car to replace it myself. I’m happy for your new brakes. I also do all of my own brake jobs too. Can’t afford $1,500.00 for a 1-1/2 hr. job.
Retired Magistrate here: We go to a guy that is about 2 miles from us. He works out of his garage and is very reasonable. He gave us a warranty on the brakes so when the brakes started pulsating we took the car back and he replaced the pads at no charge. My husband used to do this work, but due to health issues he can’t do this type of work anymore.
We have found several under the radar individuals who are very reasonable and have been able to help us with repair work on our vehicles and house. I am doing everything I can to keep us out of an assisted living facility; we want to have independent living as long as possible. In the last two years assisted living facilities have done a terrible job taking care of their occupants; we don’t want to be one of them.
I don’t mean to mock your optimism. I am actually a perpetual optimist … but also a realist. And a problem-solver. And we’ve got a boatload of problems to solve with our culture and government. Glad to hear you’ve found a reliable and reasonable mechanic … a very valuable tradesman. Butcha know? “There are very few moving parts on electric cars … so you never have to repair them” /sarc.
Agree. I do a few quick glances over coffee early, maybe a comment or two, then I go outside. Here in the South spring is trying really hard to be here already and it’s gorgeous. I go talk to all my animals (morning chores), then I get busy in the house and with other projects. I have health problems too, so I have to keep moving or they will pull me into a pit. Doesn’t mean I’m not very perturbed about world events. It’s just that, unless and until a nuclear bomb goes off on our soil, I’m not going to give in to the drama-trauma that is so prevalent thanks to our government and media. It’s my way of “winning”. The sun is shining, the breeze is cool, the birds are chirping – what a great day!!

I feel for you! I have not been shunned by my children, but I have been shunned by my sister, aunts, uncles and a couple of cousins. I am down to two out of five girlfriends. I am unpatriotic and on and on. After two years of being ostracized they suddenly want to put the Geni back in the bottle and want to like in the days before covid, use my one acre of land for graduation, birthday and conformation parties. Not one apology and they expect my husband and me are just supposed to act as if all is well.

Say no! Tell them their bad behavior has consequences. Do not enable their continued bad behavior. Then see who is truly sorry and work with those people.

My kids understand my hesitancy. I got a one and only flu shot back in Oct. 2007. I still got the flu. Christmas night I went to bed and stayed there for ten days. I have had the flu in the past, never went to the doctor because there was nothing you could take at that time other than over the counter meds. This flu was different. I ended up in the hospital with pericarditis. It took three months and a lot of 800mg Motrin to relieve the swelling. My kids were scared I was going to die. Heck, I thought i was going to die. You would think my other family member would have some compassion but no. I too tend to like people who speak the hard truth and Jessie is speaking the hard truth. I hope you have a good day.

I now have zero relationship with my children and grandchildren, but emotionally it cost me nothing because they all went “woke” long before the current nonsense, and I simply refuse to have anything to do with people whom I hold in studied contempt. At 76, I am acutely aware of the fact that more of my life is to be seen in the rear view mirror than looking ahead through the windshield, so I reserve time only for productive relationships.
Things have not gone that far yet, but close.
I still have hope that we can pick up some of the pieces. But I can tell you this, the broken bowl will never be the same.

You got to spend time with your grandchildren, unvaxxed. The ONLY reason I got the shot was to see and hold mine. The shot was the “price of admission.” I wanted to create memories for my 6-year-old granddaughter, whom I hadn’t seen in over two years. I did create those memories for her, at Christmas. It was she who invited me to visit. She would not let up on her parents until they reluctantly agreed to the visit. I spent nearly all of my time, over five days, with her, and ignored the others. Sorry for the rant. I can relate to that broken heart.

At a large majority of colleges, students were promised a “return to normalcy” if they complied with Covid-19 protocols. They were forced to wear masks to protect the elderly and vulnerable in their community but that didn’t work because the virus was transmitted in spite of masks.
They were forced to take vaccines and boosters to protect themselves and others from infection but that didn’t work either because a large number of college students caught the virus after being fully vaccinated. At most universities, administrative puppeteers continue to manipulate their every move targeting them through fear tactics and unscientific narratives instead of well-reasoned analysis which I remind you is fully expected of college students each day in their classrooms.
A review of college mitigation policies suggests that the more elite the college the more draconian the mitigation measures.

Yet, unreported is the fact the TX-RNC used him to suck up 53% of a very meager primary turn-out and that they “declared” Kieth Self, the actual favored candidate (with 24% of the vote) the new winner. Van Taylor still performed a useful service to the GOPe and SWAMP.
There was a decent non-politican in the race, Suzanne Harp, who gained 20% of the vote in the race. She was the threat to the GOPe that had to be suppressed as it would have been a real dog fight between her and Kieth Self.
Contrast that with the TX-AG RNC primary where incumbent AG Paxton won only 43% of the vote vs Bush III (23%) + Louie Gomert (the spoiler vs Paxton, won 14%). AG Paxton has to go through a run-off vs Bush III because Paxton had less than 50% of the vote.
