When the Biden administration loses MSNBC, you know the White House is realizing this is going to crush them.
In an unusual MSNBC discussion, the regime stenography panel admits that not only is inflation bad now, but it is likely to get much, much worse. Just watch the first three minutes to recognize the scale of how the economic situation in the U.S. is being accepted by the water-carrying media.
“The problem we have here is a series of events that have led to higher prices,” says Liesman. “I am afraid this number is bad and could get worse.”
.
Keep in mind, most Americans have no idea what 15% inflation and rising interest rates looks like. The Gen-x generation saw everything as it was growing, and the millennial generation has no reference point for thrift prioritization, actual rationing and sustainability on a level where you have to make your own durable goods and foodstuffs. How many know how to cook, let alone sustain themselves financially.
Yes, things are bad now, but almost every person in the progressive, leftist, occupy, Antifa side of the political divide have no concept of what is about to happen. It is going to be really interesting to watch how the 20- to 40-year-old age groups respond to a new era of economic scarcity and home gardening.
The ideological Obama crew have really pushed Joe Biden into the furnace.

Any comments from RINO’s or the RNC on how bad things are? The silence means they don’t care what is happening. The uniparty wants the middle class destroyed period.
The Uniparty wants subjects, not citizens. Trump increased household disposable income, and they can’t have that. The McConnell to-do list is to destroy Trump, items 1, 2 and 3.
Think about that, RINOs. Your precious little R’s ignore all but their zeal to destroy Trump and enserf the country.
I have no doubt that King George III treated his subjects a lot better than Biden is going to treat us!
Sadly this is becoming more and more evident. I have emailed our congressman David Rouzer several times as to why the GOP is totally feckless in combatting the socialists. Never responds. Then today I see the top congressional stock market performers, oh my Rouzer is #7 just below Pelosi. It helps to know who the real enemy is.
To destroy Trump and not allow Maga candidates to win; I think this is the plan with redistricting. People still think the GOP are stupid and weak but I think they are doing every thing they can to destroy Maga and keep the party to themselves. They are working with the Dems to do this. It’s becoming really clear to me that is the goal.
Or more likely don’t know…because it doesn’t affect them.
They all know what is happening, and it is all happening by design.
Nothing this administration does is an accident.
True, RJS…but I was referring to the GOPe in particular this time.
One would think they’d want to get some political capital out of this, even though they are just as complicit. But so far, crickets… not a peep. As I said, inflation for those with pockets stuffed with corporate lobbyist money and other corrupt payments is just not a problem.
The GOP don’t care, but they will use it eventually to get votes. They hate us as much as the Dems.
Just as Covid-19 virus was not an accident. The whole reason for Covid-19 was a bioweapon to get rid of Trump.
The real coup. Fauci helped facilitate it from day one.
Someone had to do it and who better than Fauci?…certainly a job not for a choir-boy.
Fauci and Pence!
Government Party gonna Government.
And you ain’t welcome to the party.
Inflation has roots in Production/Supply Chain problems, changing purchasing by consumers and Money Supply.
The Supply chain problem is NOT going away soon. And, it is aggravated by consumers changing what they buy. So, this will be pushing prices at least another year.
Money supply issues will continue until spending is reined in. When will that happen?
Also, inflation has hit only goods so far. Next year – SERVICES.
Inflation has its roots in the money supply. We have FLOODED the economy with trillions upon trillions of dollars that went (in a lot of cases) to individuals who then spent it all like they hit the lottery. The key here, which is different than the 2009 TARP/”Stimulus” is that most of that money didn’t hit the actual economy. This time, the money flowed straight into the economy and people spent it. And as prices grew faster, they spent it even faster. Then they started going back to work and spent that money too. Boom.
Charlie Munger let the cat out of the bag several months ago when he said he admired how the Communists run China.
RINO’s and Neocons are worse than communists because they claim to represent Republican voters when in fact, they just represent special interest lobbies like multinational corporations, the Pentagon and useless foreign “allies”. They literally care more about the borders of Ukraine and Israel than the borders of their own country.
At least with Commies you know what you are getting.
Yes, it’s unconscionable what the Republican leadership is doing to its voting base and America in general…I have far more disgust for McConnell, McCarthy, Graham, Cheney, W., and Delecto
It’s far worse than that. RINOs are not just helping the special interests you mention.
They are also helping the Democrats, by their action and inaction, to transform our country into a totalitarian, socialist hellhole.
I want to see Trump take down Walmart.
Walmart, is a ponzi scheme.
They are still thinking! They’ll come up with something….just watch and see ! Lol
There is no kinder, gentler way to deal with Inflation. It is a Cancer that needs to be cut out. And, the cure is painful.
I can hear them now….send us money, then we can make things better.
Their silence is deafening.
Build back broke. Way to go Joe! Mickey and I salute you…
I think it is true. Michelle Malkin’s been stickin her neck out for years trying to convince us of this truth. I have been such a fool, voting for these traitorous evil doers that hide behind the bible and conservative values. I need a vomit bag…
I left a prominent Southern Baptist Church over the foolishness in their covid response. So many treacherous snakes hide behind The Bible.
SD’s twelve words rather nicely sums up our “state of affairs.” Nice job.
The ideological Obama crew have really pushed Joe Biden into the furnace.
what do you do if you’re Kamala? (sure insert jokes here)
but do you try and take the job because you can do it better (more jokes)
or don’t touch it with a 10 foot pole? (aaand more jokes)
Don’t touch “it” or don’t touch “her” – ha-ha-ha!
Once Kamala gets to the top, the way she got there no longer works.
Are you implying that XI has been, shall we say, emasculated?
No, she can just figuratively do to the rest of us what she literally did to a few benefactors to get where she is today.
Kamala could phone up WIllie Brown and ask if her old spot is still open.
I don’t think he has floorboards anymore. She could end up with nasty carpet burn!
y’all are good but don’t give up your day jobs, lol!
BURN BABY BURN
Burn baby, burn.
We have an entire generation that thinks suppressed interest rates are normal.
Fixed income is going to get slaughtered.
Nobody is going to “invest” at low rates with inflation raging.
Somebody is going to have to buy the rollover debt.
As a retiree on social security and a very small pension I agree with your words: “Fixed income is going to get slaughtered.”
It was so bad the last time I went grocery shopping, there wasn’t much blood left to drain.
I am with you. Same here.
I’m really so sorry for both of you. I’m still working 12 hours a day (my own business) at age 76. I CAN. I know that’s simply not possible for most people.
Those Americans over 65 that did save for retirement are still going to get drilled. SSI plus any savings or pensions won’t come close to any retirement financial model that would have been fine before the election theft of 2020. The speed that this group of globalists destroyed America make me think the Golden Years aren’t going to be looking real golden
It makes me so angry, and yet there is no denying that some of them did this to themselves. My mother is an example. For 4 years, all I heard was how awful Trump was. Every time I spoke to her, she was pearl clutching about Trump.
Both of my elderly parents voted for Biden, even though they are devout Catholics.
Now every time I talk to them, my mother is complaining about grocery prices. They have given up alcohol in an effort to cut costs.
But she never ever blames the idiot she voted for and his equally idiotic administration.
The intellectual disconnect is equally astonishing and frustrating.
Everyone has situations such as yours. Once you realize when it comes to politics, there are dumb and stupid people even your own family. Then you know it is futile to worry about them and thus only worry about YOU.
Make sure she understands how Biden ruined our energy independence. Say things like, “I wish people in Washington could see how badly their energy policy is affecting prices.”
much easier to fool someone than to get them to admit they were fooled – Mark Twain but you might want to fact check it, lol- I’m old and memory is nearly full
We just won’t count rent food and energy, which likely is an oversized portion of any retired person’s budget.
Most financial planners will have a larger share of fixed income investments for retired persons. But stocks are going to get hit too.
Perhaps we could start a pensioners only food bank? I get sick to death of seeing the fat lazy SOB’s with 6 kids by 4 fathers queuing with their hands out!
I don’t know about people in their 60’s and early 70’s, but folks in their 80’s eat almost nothing. That said, I just took my 84 year old mother grocery shopping and she spent $101! A large part of that was non-food items, and that’s where I suspect they’re really feeling the pinch. Things like supplements, Depends, toilet paper, etc.
stawk market has been the only place to hide. blue chip dividend aristocrats are where I’m at along with a stash of prep trade bait, 1/2 pints of j w dant will rule
If Brandon perishes in flames (apologies to Rick Moranis), what is Barack Hussein Obama’s Plan B? Surely a man of his stellar galactic intelligence cannot get behind Kamalama as POTUS.
Who’s next in line – Pelosi?
As I pointed out a few days ago, that is why she decided to run for office one more time.
What difference does it make when the person sitting at the president’s desk isn’t calling the shots anyway?
Any random person off the street can be trained to read the teleprompter and sign documents put in front of them.
Obama basically endorsed Harris for president when she was California AG. Then she crashed and angered in when she actually ran – with a little help from Tulsi Gabbard.
Team Obama will be fine with her as president. Who gets to be her VP? Susan Rice? Stacey Abrams?
MORE ‘SHROOMS!
As Barry said “Joe could F up a wet dream”
Truth be told !
Fascists pushing a doddering old fool in to a furnace. The visual is historically priceless.
Ah they’re trying to blame the inflation on, “A series of events.”
It’s more like a series of really stupid progressive policies.
“Events” implies something just happened.
Nope.
This is all on the parasites surrounding Dementia Joe.
Resident Biden’s selection and installation are the series of events that caused this mess …
Wasn’t one of the “Great Reset” goals to destroy the US economy to make globalist takeover easier?
🎯
The globalization of the world cannot happen with the United States being a world leader. That is why prosecutors are not prosecuting crime the way they should, are military is in disarray, and runaway inflation taking place it is amazing the U.S. dollar has any value at all..
These Uniparty liberals know exactly what they are doing.
We are the Globalists cash machine.
We print fake money and they end up with real money.
Yes, they know what they are doing. However, they don’t know how to do what they are doing….and that will be their undoing.
I love your attitude!
It was a series of events, all orchestrated by the lefts desire for ultimate power. The china plague used to destroy President Trump, the 2020 election fraud that remove President from office, the pigs in congress spending…. I mean robbing the treasury of trillions of dollars, the intentional destruction of our energy sector, the shutting down of a dynamic economy and concentrating it in mega-corps, reversing every one of President Trumps policies. Yes it is a series of events that got us to this point.
“Some people did something.” – Ilhan “I married my brother and love terrorists” Omar
Depends what you mean by “stupid.”
I believe these people are VERY smart and cunning, and well aware of the consequences of their policies.
You can’t “build back” anything until you utterly destroy what already exists.
Some people did some things…
In order to ‘build back better’ the evil left is determined to first destroy what exists, Consequences be damned.
Textbook examples of arrogance and inflated self wisdom.
Bury Marx Deeper!
Bury him in a pile of dead Deep State commies.
Hot dog Rosalynn, make me an Old Fashioned! I finally lived long enough to see a worse President than me! Jimmy Carter..probably.
We’ve actually had one worse already…two terms in fact, with the third term now underway
People just won’t admit it easily
LBJ
This is what happens when the WEF is hell bent on destroying the fossil fuel I ndustry and the world’s economy and industries that have relied on it for over a hundred years.
You have to wipe out coal and oil to put an end to the Industrial Revolution. This is one of the two revolutions in the late 18th and early 19th centuries that put an end to manorialism in Europe and North America. What Schwab and his friends are trying to pull off is a return to the manorial social and economic constructs that predate the American Revolution..
As is not bad enough the OBiden regimen is making Americans to pay for the salary of terrorists! See below…..
https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/israel-middle-east/articles/biden-pays-army-salaries-to-iranian-ally
sundance, we are going to send you some funds for new chainsaw chains.
Not b/c we think you need them.
Do Not Pause.
My guess is for some renters their utility bills will exceed their rent payment.
NOT—local property taxes will make utility bills look easy
You ought to see the property taxes here in Texas where the Lefty Locusts have settled in and built $Million+ mansions! Then, the whining about how they can’t afford the utilities on them now.
The fact that they have been able to sell their homes in lefty territories and move to the red states, get jobs, and buy much larger homes has been a financial coping mechanism for them.
A beautiful Texas ranch land of only around 621 acres sold recently for $3 MILLION! With the caveat that it can never be developed!
The Lefty Locusts are gobbling up everything!
They move to an area for its beauty, wildlife, and charm. Can’t take enough photos. Then, a short time later, they’re complaining about the wildlife!
Next thing you know, they’ve gotten the rules changed so that even native Texans can be fined for continuing to put out a bucket of water or a bird bath of less than 6 feet in height in the heat of the summer for the starving critters.
Next up, they have the officials killing all the deer, geese, ducks, etc. in the parks because they poop and make noise! I am NOT KIDDING!!!
As a 7th generation Texan, I HAVE NO LOVE AND NO REMAINING TOLERANCE FOR LEFTY LOCUSTS!
Just a minor point of clarification…as a Gen Xer, we remember the late 70s and inflation (WIN Whip Inflation Now)..that’s why many of us became Reagan Republicans…in fact, one of my clearest memories of the 1980 election was how quickly the race was called and me saying to a 6th grade classmate “it’s a landslide”…to which my friend said, “yeah, the landslide fell on Carter”
Listened to a Fidelity and Schwab Webinars to discuss how decisions are made by the folks in the Investment Account Professional Services Group. Both stated that “makets and Investment Firms have already priced in or baked in 2.5% Rate Hikes”.
My submitted WEBINAR question went unanswered, Why do ANY OFFICIALLY enacted hikes even need to be made?? All the FED and US Government have to do announce a “planned xxxx” and everybody re-acts accordingly.
Has anybody even stopped to look and point out NOT A SINGLE action has been taken?? It is all “announcements” and total plausible deniability and “fake” finger jab the RICH for causing the problem.
This is a perpetual motion machine that the “experts” and Government can whip in any direction at any magnitude of loss or gain WITH AN ANNOUNCEMENT. This is manipulation 101 in action and the SEC/FTC are in the pocket or under control of the manipulators.
The U.S. government won’t be able to pay the interest expense incurred through higher interest rates
That is why there will be no officially enacted hikes in anything. Changes will be via headlines and Major League Whales as well as Institutions shifting money to drive the herd in the desired direction.
As was pointed out before: the top 5-6 Institutions control and manage the trading of GDP producing assets = to about 2/3 to 3/4 of the global economy. Schwab is #1 and Fidelity is #4.
This is *all* by design. They want Biden out of office. Not until Jan 2023 where they can install their replacement stooge and set the stage for another 8 years of a Democrat president. Make it so bad, everyone suffers. Get media slowly to start spinning how bad it’s getting. Let it simmer. Then when the timing is good, start the process to remove Biden and switch out Kamala. Then change things in 2023 so that the economy gets a bit better (but not great). Just enough to sway voters back to the Dem side. Just enough that those voters + national fraud = re-elected Dem president in 2024.
Good luck with that
Yeah. Because R’s did so well recognizing, preventing, stopping vote fraud in 2020, right?
That is your job.
Of the people, by the people, for the people.
Back to school for you!
How soon we forget; 1992, 2000, 2008, 2018 and 2020.
By the way, look at the graphs of Market data and some interesting inflection points align rather nicely with these dates.
After watching 2 years of pain suffered by President Trump, there also has to be a split Legislature, with the democrat party preferably holding the Senate, to allow the use of the Presidential Pen and Cell phone as well as control approval of appointees (Courts & Executive Branch figureheads).
Kamala is ineligible. Neither of her parents was a citizen when she was born.
Just add it to the list of Federal Election Laws and rules broken 2008 to date.
Doesn’t matter what you argue about eligibility. She made it to Veep, which has same requirements.
SURE it does…..unconstitutional is UNCONSTITUTIONAL….Ozero was and REMAINS ineligible and his entire administration was illegitimate….this one is as well although for most it is the way they were installed….GOPe complicity certainly does not help our case for a government that has a LAWFUL and popular basis
You are assuming we have fair elections. Should 2020 election repeat itself the Uniparty will not have to be bothered campaigning.
100% agree
I saw this coming as soon as they confined… it couldn’t go any other way. And guess what? They’re flooring the gas pedal!
Yeah I got out of college in 1981, smack in the middle of Carter Inflation. It took forever to find a job as a new Chemical engineer as Carte and his Environmental crew sent all that work to the SE Asia. Then when you did find work the inflation kept you flat on the ground. My mortgage after interest rates declined was 9.9%.
Now I am 68 and we run into the same meat grinder as we retire.
The Gen-X and Millennials have already been hit by the 2008 market collapse and housing collapse brought to them courtesy of O’Bummer.
I hope the Gen Xers and Millennials are paying attention, and remember what they go through for a long, Long time.
Sadly, I do not think the prospects for a recent engineering graduate is going to be that great these days.
I hear of large numbers of retirements, with rumors of employers hiring large numbers to replace them. And yet, it is so confounding that I see more evidence of stagnation in those particular job markets.
To add insult to injury, I feel that some official is going to make an announcement for the need of more visa workers to fill the engineering gap in spite of plenty of Americans qualified to do those jobs.
STEM graduate here and the official numbers about the need for H1b visas are of course “adjusted”…..America graduates over DOUBLE the numbers of openings per annum with ONLY 22% of those grads working IN their field of study due to the foreigners big corporations prefer for a variety of reasons including lower costs, and increased leverage over their workers
No doubt. I am a STEM Grad myself.
It was specifically that H1b visa issue that was the impetus for me moving away from continuing in an IT career.
although Ozero DID support many of the policies leading to the “housing bubble” of 2007-9 he was NOT in charge…it was an engineered collapse whose purpose it was to get him elected
It wasn’t just the inflation. During the late 70s and into the 80s the United States saw the wholesale destruction of our heavy industries, mining, steel, autos, chemicals, machinery, earth movers all gone. Don’t you remember the catch phrase “We are moving into a service economy”. How did that work out for every one? I was also a young engineer in Cleveland when it started. There were huge engineering firms , Arthur G. McKee, HK Fergeson, Dravo, United Engineers and Constructors, there were many more. Thousands of engineers and draftsmen worked there. All gone now.
and it wasn’t the boomers that made those decisions
I am not a stock market investor – and I don’t play one on TV
merely a senior trying to hang on
so please excuse a dumb question
what is the difference between a recession and a depression
asking for a friend
My opinion: A recession is when the economy severely contracts, so we’re in one now. A depression is when no one can get a job and everyone suffers except for the privileged few, which is where we are headed if we can’t get this ship turned around.
I thought a recession was when your friend lost his job in a depression was when you lost your job!
🙂
aka as the difference between minor and major surgery
officially a “recession” is 2 consecutive quarters of reductions in GDP
I remember the distinction between the two posed this way:
“In a recession, your neighbor is out of work, in a depression, you are.”
A recession is when your neighbor loses their job or home, a depression is when you do. Although I think you know the answer.
yeah, it was a rhetorical question
i had forgotten about the you vs your neighbor bit ….
somebody has to be the straightman and lob the softballs. thank you lol
It is a matter of intensity. Like asking the difference between a class 1 hurricane and a class5.
A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose your job! Learned that in Rehab!
A recession is when GDP contacts for two consecutive quarters. A depression is a prolonged period of reduced economic activity. Six consecutive months = recession, a year or more = depression.
Actually, Gen-X (most of us) lived through the powdered milk and hot dog days of the 1970’s. We were given Government Propaganda (comic books) saying how we needed to conserve energy by putting these stupid foam insulators in our wall outlets. We heard our aunts and uncles (and our parents) talking about how they couldn’t afford to buy a house or a car due to interest rate explosions. I remember chopping wood to heat our home because heating oil was too expensive. My parents would use oil to get the house up to 60degF, and we could see our breath in our bedrooms on cold PA nights. If you wanted to be warm, you went down and sat by the wood stove. Our woodshed was 50 yards from the house, and we would haul wood from there to the house on a sled when it snowed.
On January 20, 1981, Ronald Reagan was sworn in. I was in the 4th grade. The principal announced that any students who wanted to watch the inauguration could watch it in the AV room at lunch. The AV room was an 8×8 foot closet with TVs and projectors in it. I was the only one in there.
I still remember my parents faces when Reagan won. It was the face you see on people recently liberated from Marxist countries. My mom often talks about how she would have $20 left on Monday and it needed to last until my dad got paid on Friday. As kids, we all thought that generic Kool-Aid was made with 2/3 cup of sugar (not the 1 cup in the small print on the back). My mom was trying to conserve sugar and put the 2/3 cup scoop in the sugar bowl. We would mound the sugar in the cup and think we were getting away with extra sugar!
Btw, the “inflation” numbers don’t factor in SHRINK-flation. When I was a kid a 5lb bag of sugar came in a 5lb bag. Bags of sugar today are 4lb. I used to have to stack sugar bags at the grocery store as a teenager, and when the bags shrank to 4lb, I immediately noticed.
Most of my Gen-X friends remember those days. We didn’t necessarily understand it at the time, but we all lived it.
Yes, also factor in Iran Hostage impotence, Vietnam/Watergate hangover, Russian Afghanistan Invasion, and Odd/Even gas days here in CA….oh, Gen Xers remember
They have shown the wind………
Sown? Now they reap?
Sorry. My mistake. Fat fingers.
Apologies to the English dept.
As more Americans become aware that inflation is truly more like 20-25% and climbing vs the 7.5%………..
Why don’t the Patriots take a document maybe like this below, every R running for Congress (House & Senate) and ask them to sign this in public if they want the full support of the MAGA party?
Those who don’t sign simply won’t get our vote.
Easy way to filter out the RINOS.
Maybe we call this the Patriot Oath document.
Hypothetical Document:
I XXXXXXXXXX, do hereby solemnly swear and commit, if elected to Congress in Nov 2022, to support and cast my vote to impeach President Joe Biden and VP Harris for crimes committed against the American people and in violation to the US Constitution.
I also solemnly swear and commit to vote for Donald J Trump as Speaker of the House.
I also agree that if I fail to cast my vote for Impeachment and DJT as Speaker in 2023, that I agree to resign and/or be expelled from Congress by my peers as provided under the Articles of the Constitution.
These promises are made in consideration of the MAGA party voting for me in the 2020 election.
Signed,
XXXXXXXXXXX
Seriously, why would any Patriot who wants to restore order, the rule of law and our US Constitution not be willing to sign this pledge?
Imagine for a second the leadership and the investigations that could be led under Speaker Trump, to uncover documents, communications and the truth of the potential crimes committed unto the American people.
Sadly as a Gen X, I admit you are right….I grew up in the country, was taught how to cook, garden ect. by my parents and grandparents. College led me to the “city”. Once married, I realized most women my age had no idea how to buy food on sale, coupon or cook. My younger siblings are Millennials. The majority of their peers are spoiled brats. This will blind side most of them. Thank the Lord I was taught how to survive turbulent times.
My wife and I go out to dinner twice a year. I was shocked when I read that 80% of the food was eaten in restaurants os as takeouts. We are really behind the curve here, but our food is more balanced with fewer carbs, fat, sodium and it tastes better. Generally, I will order something that I just can’t seem to get right such as a Chile Relano.
You mean chile relleno? Those are tough. My sister makes a pretty good one. I could never get it right.
Some things you just have to splurge on and good Mexican food is one of mine. Still reasonable $
Most younger women mid 30’s and lower are living as if nothing is going on. They are all going out, eating at fancy expensive restaurants, going on vacation every other week, going to the superbowl, buying expensive clothes and cars, etc. They are truly a different breed.
History will not be kind to us.
Wasn’t it obvious that Joe was the sacrificial
lambwolf? He gets a huge pass for being a brain dead f–k head.Wow, these numbers can’t be right, Little Jimmie Cramer said this was the best economy ever and he stays at Holiday Inn Express.
Liberals think that all this is just bad luck for Biden and nothing he did wrong.
Is it wrong to wish……
maximum economic pain on “blue” states…..????
Many conservatives live in blue states. I am one of them. In Oregon we have mail in voting so no conservative will ever win again.
How about I revise that to…..
maximum economic pain on “blue” voters…..?
Thank you from WA state.
“The ideological Obama crew have really pushed Joe Biden into the furnace.”
That will feel like a Polar Vortex compared to the lowest circle of Hell, which is where FJB will end up.
Democratic Party Trolls on Breitbart/Townhall/The Hill blame greedy corporations.
Also believe corporations don’t pay their fair share of taxes.
I’m no good at math. But…
Isn’t 3% of $10 billion a little more than 7% of $35,000?
I don’t like pain like the rest of us but the only way to win back the Country is to have lots of pain for the uninformed. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to destroy the
demonratsTraitors party and take back our country and hopefully jail all the criminals.I urge all Christians to pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the battle that is about to begin for the hearts and minds and soul of this country.
The UniParty is the enemy. The America people gave President Trump both the House and Senate when he took office in 2016.
Just imagine how much better off we would have been had President Trump had a House (led by Paul Ryan) and a Senate (led by Mitch McConnell) willing to actually effect legislation that benefited the American people.
Never forget, those two years with Ryan and McConnell cost us dearly.
If they had done the jobs we sent them to do we likely would not have lost the House in 2018.
The single worst thing those traitors did was to enable the whole “Russia” hoax, which hamstrung Trump for his entire presidency.
Even with that monumental handicap, Trump was STILL able to put the country back on track, a status which has been shattered in less than a year.
America is headed for ration cards-the post Covid way to control you.p
I am 73 years old. I remember all too well the inflation and the interest rates of the mid 70’s and the first few years of the 80’s. The stuff of which nightmares are made to say the least. I fear that what we face in the near future through 2025 will turn out to be even worse. The fear I feel feels visceral.
The scariest thing is we have a Republican opposition that seems more interested in purging their entire voting base than standing up to all this nonsense
I’m a few years older than you – in the early 80s we took a 2nd mortgage for home improvement @ a rate of 16% – and, was glad to get it… Whew!
It WILL be worse. MUCH worse. The house of cards is many stories taller now than it was in the 70s and 80s.
I love this inflation. It is our friend.
It took out Jimmy Carter and should take out Joe Biden.
I love it too, but I was once very poor and a hike in gas + groceries + electric bill made life impossible. I wish a Pox on the Democrats.
The only upside is if you bought treasury bills back in Carter days, you got a great interest rate on them. Something like 15%. If those rates return and stabilize, I will be buying them.
Different times. Your average Democrat in 1980 was still pragmatic enough to vote for Reagan to get Carter out of there.
And voting machines were mechanical with analog counters and paper ballots.
Today’s Democrat will vote for more government to save them and have no problem with early, mail in voting.
They are being allowed to say that. Part of the plan. They are state media. They obey the deep state, they are the deep state.
Four things I come away with from that MSNBC segment is:
1) they are trying to tout the “great” Jobs Report as if we don’t know it is a tissue of lies and manipulations.
2) they are laser focused on the mid-terms.
3) the Democrat answer is to suggest throwing more money into the economy – the same old, same old disastrous policies that helped to increase inflation.
4) they ignorantly think that the Fed raising interest rates is going to solve inflation, hoping it will happen before the mid-term elections in 8 1/2 months. They aren’t thinking about the fall-out from rising interest rates.
Thank heavens for my Depression Era parents who didn’t have much and taught us to cook, do basic carpentry, share hand-me-downs, sew, garden, read, and “make do”.
The Fed helped fight inflation 40 years ago, but it was by raising the prime rate to as high as 20%.
Fed prime rate –

My dad grew up poor and worked very hard for everything. My mom did not. As I look back, I remember dad introducing the powdered milk, hoeing up part of the back yard and planting a large garden, getting chickens, suggesting we have a pot of beans and rice for dinner, etc. He was extremely frugal. He would get frustrated when the heat was running all the time and we opened up the windows in the house. One year we had no money for school clothes, which really irritated my mother (bless her heart). She took all of us girls to a clothing outlet and we each got to pick 2 things. Dad would tell us that he’d buy the material if we’d sew our clothes. Material was cheap then and made in the USA. Of course we all knew how to sew and cook from scratch, etc. But, I learned frugality from my dad. He was always cheerful and made things fun. My mom complained, but with the appropriate laugh, and she always had a closet crammed full of clothes while my dad wore the same suits for decades. He loved her that much. He scrimped and saved. He passed on a few years ago and my mother lives very, very well, which was his desire for her. I never met a man who loved a woman that much.
The RINOs are too busy trying to sully President Trump’s name to bother with inflation and high prices.
This morning, just before the 7am news on FOX News, there was an advertisement by some “Republican” Committee I have never heard about until today. The topic, President Trump said that he would pardon the January 6 prisoners.
Every time I look at McConnell I want to regurgitate my previous meal.
These people care nothing about the ordinary person trying to survive.
The FED hasn’t yet stopped creating money to buy US bonds. And they haven’t raised interest rates either. The fun hasn’t begun. I want to see who buys all the bonds when the FED stops. It will get very ugly, beyond what we have all imagined.
I’m Gen X, born in 1975. I’ve lived in abject poverty. During the so called boom years I was on the outside. Things are getting really, really bad. But I will survive. I know how.
Those millenials who were born in the late 80s and early 90s and Gen Z are in trouble because they have not known anything but a fake economy and handouts.
God help us all. I have 3 adult children and they don’t fully understand what is hitting them. They do but only to an extent.
well, I trust that they will learn, just as we did.
My grandparents were super frugal and lived well throughout their lives because they always saved for a rainy day, but then would also do careful splurges to have fun and not feel poor. Over time, they built real wealth and I try to learn from their example.
The next generation, my parents, were maybe tired of having grown up with scrimping and saving, and they were profligate. They were generous to their children, but I also learned how to do without and make it on my own, and do things myself rather than paying someone else (if possible) to save.
I’m the tail end of the baby boom, and I’ve been the combination of frugal/extravagant at times (i.e., go out to dinner seldom, but when I go out I go someplace very nice and order whatever I want and enjoy it) that my grandparents taught me.
But I’m prepared to cut back, do without, defer, barter, and earn extra money….. whatever it takes. At any rate, I’ll do my best.
My kids (young adults) will learn. They have had it fairly easy but they have also learned to take care of themselves.
If this doesn’t last too long (who knows), it will be valuable lessons for many.
No mention of Biden’s energy policy, not that I expected it.
I’ll bite, I’m in the 20-40 range and having read CTH for at least 6 years I have:
Just some thoughts… I know that I don’t know what I need to know, or what my grandparents knew. Thinking of the future makes me miss them and the wisdom they had. They were the gardeners, canners, shade tree mechanics, farmers, butcherers, seamstresses, jerry rigging fools etc.
JC…a very astute post. I also have done these things as best to my ability.
But, I started in 2008 and am comfortable with amt. stored.
Amaon/Prime is my splurge even with a $20 increase this months on the annual sub. from 120 -140.
I have a few free channels using Roku, which I love.
I wish I had a friend to fish with–gave away rods when Gene died.
I have 4 chest freezers; when I lost one July 4th, I bought two, making my total 4 and love having space in them now.
Entertainment?? What’s that??
Luckily, I ‘had’ to buy tires for my 04 Mazda in July( they were 18 years old), same time freezer died. Scarce now?? don’t know.
Gardening…I love my own peppers and tomatoes…fungus acquired a few years ago snipped that in the bud. Amish…$10 a box and it’s huge.
I like reading other’s lists to see things I need that I missed.
Thanks……
Honk Honk
JC, great work. Fly fishing is good for the soul. I cannot get my wife to drop cable as well, so it is her little thing. Some of our list:
Moved as far rural as we could, with as much farmland as we could afford
Simplified our life as much as possible, donated a ton of our “stuff” we did not use
Lots of good books to read
Burn some kerosene lanterns just because we can
Pray and reading the bible much more/ using “our daily bread bible notes” LOL
Like you, enjoying the outdoors, trout fishing, hiking, turkey hunting
Watching the Deer every night at sunset, sneaking them some feed
Doing a Ronald Reagan and cutting down trees, splitting firewood, clearing brush
Writing in the Journal for the future Grandkids
Using some of my firearms that have been dormant for years
Eating much, much more at home, going out less
Have meaningful contacts with our likeminded MAGA neighbors.
Spending more of our money at Amish and Mennonite businesses in our area
Avoiding made in China
Look up at the sky day and night often, soak in that “Intelligent Design”
Just some of our list
The ideological Obama crew have really pushed Joe Biden into the furnace.
Yes. Well versed in the art of obfuscation, the crew will blame everything on Biden, using these inflation numbers as an excuse. Saves from admitting how they deliberately placed a mentally deficient puppet in the White House. No longer able to hide that deficiency, they now they have two reasons (excuses) to retire the puppet as soon as it’s most convenient for them.
“The White House wants to get on top of this”
What a crock of sh**! The White House CAUSED all of this, in an unbelievably short period of time.
The great reset, destroy the current economic system to start a new one.
The host of this program sounded downright desperate. Not because I think she cares about the fact that people are hurting, but because in all likelihood she’s scared the left will lose in November.
“Is it as bad as it looks and sounds?”
“Do you see any reason to hope?”
“What needs to change?”
And ya’ gotta love how Biden’s going to Virginia where he’ll be talking about a plan to lower Rx drug costs. Freaking idiots! Trump already negotiated that, but of course the left has to demolish all that is good and then try to reinvent it = muck it all up.
(PS Not to be too petty, but the make up crew really needs to fix the host’s eyebrows. Just sayin’.)
The great reset.
Add the expense of burying thousands of our loved ones…in the next two years. I have read two articles from doctors today that have called it a die-off and it is begun.
Why doesn’t anyone realize this could possibly be the last time this will happen and it’s on purpose? The World Economic Forum made it clear they want everyone to be stuck in the serf class forever.
It’s been nearly impossible to make it on one income for awhile. Why do you think the college student culture is “roommates and ramen”? For fun? The Millennials have been discontented with the status quo for some time. “the millennial generation has no reference point for thrift prioritization and not being able to indulge themselves” Bunkum. Just because we do it differently, in the world we inhabit now rather than the one of our grandparents, doesn’t mean we don’t.
I have to agree with your comments here.
I feel the wiser ones in my generation have been flying under the radar as to not attract undue attention where possible. Still quite heavily outnumbered by the stereotypes likely.
I come from a family that was quite poor in Maine. Much of those intrinsically valuable life skills others have been mentioning can still be found in my extended family. We will survive, perhaps a measure poorer financially, but we will still have each other.
Elections have consequences, stolen elections doubly so.
consent to be governed even though it is illegitimate, triply so.
It’s like they needed to play catch up – like they were on a timeline and then trump…so they just destroyed everything all in 1 year.
Intentional.
MSNBS is prepping the sheep to expect worse. How much worse is the question.
They want an economic crash so it can lead to the electronic global currency. That was supposed to be linked to our jab pass, but pesky fringe minority are not obeying the jab mandates.
And Just like GoFundMe, they can shut it off when you disobey.
“The world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. We must build entirely new foundations for our economic and social systems” — Klaus Schwab, ‘Now is the Time for a Great Reset,’ 2020
Lierman : “We have a problem with wages going up”. No problem with a pay raise if you are the working stiff trying to keep gas in the car, food on the table, and a roof over your head.
My friend is spending almost $1000 a month just in gasoline costs to get to work.
That is on money he already paid income tax on, at ~ 25 % tax rates, so he is spending $1250 per month, or $15,000 per year just on fuel to get to work…. if this persists. What a Commie Joe Stalin is, my friend would be better off quitting his high pay job and work at Mcdonalds.
The Stock Market Dow Jones took a big hit today after satisfying a 50% retracement Bear Rally from it’s Bearish sell signal on January 3rd. Though the Stock Market is very, very highly manipulated, I don’t see how they are going to be able to hold the Dow Jones over 30,000.
A Dow Jones under 30,000 is going to have a very negative psychological affect on the Masses. It will wipe out all past 12-months gain.
Dr Malone posted this on GETTR today about an hour ago:
And Killary – We don’t have a spending problem , we have a revenue problem
To all the emotional idiots who bad mouthed Trump for 4 years…..I love to say I told you so and I’ll do it over and over again. Sadly they’ll never learn….mentally challenged people are very hard to teach. I’d rather spend my time teaching an old dog new tricks!
