DOH Whistleblower Says Covid Inflated for Profit ‘He went for gunshot wounds and was coded as COVID’

COVID Cases Inflated for Profit: ‘The Guy Went in for Multiple Gunshot Wounds and he was Coded as COVID’
• Jeanne Stagg, a whistleblower who worked in Inpatient Utilization Management, approached Project Veritas after seeing cases coded as COVID-19 that she says should not have COVID-19 listed as the “primary diagnosis.”
• Stagg: “I’ve tried to raise awareness to my leadership and even with the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Department, and it just kind of fell on deaf ears.”
• The Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare of Louisiana (Medicaid) opined in a recorded phone conversation that the Medicaid rate for reimbursement of COVID-19 patients, which is faster and significantly higher, could be the motivation for the improper “primary diagnosis” codes.
• “Oh, yes. Yeah. I would think that there’s some motivation that it’s driving higher rates of reimbursement or quicker reimbursement, or something, because otherwise there’s no reason to put, you know, something like that as a leading diagnosis in an asymptom– basically asymptomatic patients,” said Dr. Morial, Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare of Louisiana.
• The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has suspended utilization review which is the process of determining whether health care is medically necessary for a patient or an insured individual. The whistleblower says this could be a major contributing factor to spikes in COVID numbers, which then influence public health decisions.[Baton Rouge, La. – Feb. 2, 2022] A source who works for United Healthcare of Louisiana’s Inpatient Utilization Management Department is blowing the whistle on COVID-19 cases possibly being inflated for financial incentive. The brazen instance of such potential abuse was a patient who had multiple gunshot wounds with his primary diagnosis listed as COVID-19.
United Healthcare of Louisiana is the states’ Medicaid arm, and as the whistleblower Jeanne Stagg points out in a conversation with the Chief Medical Officer of United Healthcare of Louisiana, Dr. Julie Morial, there are several financial incentives for hospitals to prefer to code patients as COVID-19 hospitalizations.
“Well maybe that’s… maybe that’s driving some of the motivation,” said Dr. Morial before stating that the Medicaid rate for reimbursement of COVID-19 patients is both higher and faster.
Project Veritas also published footage of a leadership call within United Healthcare of Louisiana wherein the whistleblower’s attempt to discuss the improper primary diagnoses she is seeing was dismissed.
A major element of this story is the fact that recent actions by public officials have allowed the problem to persist, and the whistleblower believes erroneous codes could be the cause of COVID-19 spikes which influence major public health decisions.
A health plan advisory, which announced that all utilization management for all medical hospitalizations [including but not limited to initial service authorization and concurrent reviews], must be suspended was the action taken — which is in question.
“Now, this is not specific to COVID-19. This is every single hospital admission. We’re not allowed to do medical necessity review. So, it gives the hospitals free reign to admit anything they want. Code it however they want,” says the whistleblower, Jeanne Stagg.
United Healthcare of Louisiana’s Dr. Morial was contacted for comment on this story and said, “When I see a patient, and if a patient is presenting other symptoms that aren’t suggestive of a COVID infection, even though they may test positive for COVID, that’s not my primary diagnosis.”

I’ve never more disappointed in our medical industry than I am now. It just shows that when government gets involved in anything it evolves into politics and control.
When doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies do not allow therapeutics to be used when there is ample evidence that certain approved therapeutics can be helpful in treating a horrible virus is criminal. Treatment should always, IMO, be between the doctor and patience. Treatment should not be dictated by some high level bureaucrats and hospital administrators.
Hospitals and doctors should never prevent treatments and/organ replacements because a patient does not want some mandated treatment that is not associated with his/her medical issue.
what is going on is the results toward Single Payer government controlled healthcare. Politicians and bureaucrats can’t help themselves when they absolute love having power and control.

There are doctors that have been preaching about alternative therapies for just about everything since the internet gave them a voice. Of course, none of them were evaluated because we now know that the FDA, CDC and NIH are owned by big pharma. Not only were they not evaluated but those doctors were either stripped of their licenses to practice or labeled as quacks. It really makes me wonder how many of them were right.

My long-deceased husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and “given” a 3-6 month prognosis. He lived for nearly four years. When all of the university oncologists wrote him off, one doc took on his care with an “alternative” healing protocol. It worked, as proven out by CT-scans which showed the cancerous tumors shrinking.
One day that doctor’s office was raided and yes, he was stripped of his license to practice. Seattle newspapers did, I recall, describe the doctor as a “quack.”
My husband’s health thereafter went into a steady decline. I believe it was loss of hope that killed him.
The same loss of hope we are seeing today. The reputation of the medical profession is forever tarnished, but that started decades ago.
I think doctors have been scumbags for a long time. No different than lawyers, etc. People just attributed good character to the profession.
Look at all the medicaid scam billing, pharmaceutical drug pushing and conflicts of interest, etc.
And even prior to that, doctors were notorious for sketchy tax avoidance schemes when they still owned their own practices.

I don’t know, I think there is some regard for the patient, but that its not the only or necessarily even the prime regard, sadly. I was seeing primarily a nurse practitioner for checkups and was always mystified why I was always directed to supplements and pills for whatever my tests would flag. Supplements are good, but why not more comprehensive diet or lifestyle changes?
I am now set to go back to the doctor I had used before because they have left to start a private clinic that runs out of pocket because they had had it with the insurance hassle. I am hopeful that suggests they are not wedded to the corruption that is our general medical industry practice now.

I refused. Even with multiple Doctors in the hospital practically yelling at me to do it! I stood my ground.
I have always has a DNR-Do not resuscitate – signed at my Doctors office. Did no good since my Doctor does not practice at that hospital.
I was lucid enough to insist Hospital bring me one to sign.
They did- and after I got the DNR bracelet-they left me alone. They even attempted to coerce family members…they honored my choice.
So, make sure that you do have a DNR signed and copies given to family members.

I am in good health for my age. I have no health issues. Only take baby aspirin and vitamin every day and Doctor Zelenko vitamins. Unfortunately, I got a UTI Infection and my immunity was way -way down and COVID snuck in!
I didn’t get the jab. I do not regret it, or push for anyone to get it.

I noticed United healthcare expanded in our area, Oklahoma. Prices dropped, coverage was better than Bluecross, which was the better choice, goes back and forth. There used to be many players in the field now not so much. Lobbyists!

My father-in-law owned his own business. I will never forget, 20 years ago, he told me he had to make campaign donations to both political parties and politicians of both parties in order to be able to do business with the politicians. I’ve never been a democrat. My earliest political memory (I was too young to know it was politics) was catching a newscast where some fat freaking broad spewed out “If it saves one life it’s worth it” and it was about a law that regulated which side of the street you have to ride your bike on. I had to have been about 8 years old at the time. A couple of weeks later I got a ticket for riding my bike on the wrong side of the road.
Every time I think of that ticket and that phrase from that POS broad, the fire that hardened my steel against them burns hot.
I had very similar experience as a kid (where you grow up?) – and it turned me into a libertarian. Not necessarily the joke of a party – more the mindset and philosophy, but I have never felt aligned with either the left or right, as they are aligned by party in this country at least.

All it takes to find out if she’s the real deal is to ask her if she will sign a pledge to govern based on conservative principals, will help get voting reform done that includes forge proof paper ballots and a strict adherence to all votes to be counted by midnight.

But she has no business or management experience either. As a potential chief executive of the state, that is worrisome to me. Being a “fighter” or “personality” doesn’t really replace some sort of executive experience.
In Florida, DeSantis has been successful because he has military, legal, business experience to back up his conservative principals.

Yes, it brought in superb medical departments and medical specialists, but it changed the character of Derry Township (Hershey, the town, is more nickname than fact) because it forced the township to cater to the new residents, who were heavily med center people and not the middle and working class people who made Hershey Foods a fantastic organization and the town a superb place to raise a family and live in.
