For those of you who have prepared it is wise to remember the advice that always accompanies the final stages of preparation. Once you are prepared, shut up, zip it, run silent and run deep.
The reason is simple comrades, when the “voluntary rationing” phase concludes, those who have prepared are quickly cast as ‘hoarders” and targeted by those who created the desperation. It has always been thus.
DC Mayor and COVID Compliance Minister, Muriel Bowser, asks residents in/around her region to enter a phase of voluntary rationing. What comes after the voluntary phase is the part many have been studiously preparing to avoid.
In the bigger picture… I find it rather revealing that only when leftist policies are followed to their natural conclusion do you see officials in the leftist economic system they created, a system not coincidentally always based on the outcome of scarcity, asking people not to engage in economic activity.
Chasing socialism always creates an outcome where the expressed intent from government is NOT to buy stuff, rationing. Socialism, or leftism in its modern form, always creates scarcity; it is the diametrically opposite outcome of a free capitalistic society.
Ayn Rand warned about these kind of people a long long time ago! Now, thanks to ignorance, greed and sloth of some people,we’re going to get a real up close look into the face of just how evil mankind can get in their quest to control us. We have permitted Liberalism to diminish the punishment of a few law breakers, but now we all must undergo a punishment from the law breakers. Remember that, when your children are dying of starvation and exposure. God’s Commandments Matter!
I saw a short news report a couple of weeks ago from DC. In it reporters interviewed people who, on coming out of a decimated supermarket, had puzzled, shocked, disbelieving looks on their faces. Where was the food? Why were the shelves bare? What the heck was going on?
I can’t imagine being so uninformed, so ignorant of what was going on in the wider scheme of things that all of this was a total surprise. The alarm bell has been ringing for months. It seems there will be many more such amazed looks in the coming weeks on those who chose to sleep in. Thank you, Sundance.
First of the month shoppers?
ISWYDT!
I saw it too. The bewildered shoppers were Yuppies, not food stampers.
“I can’t imagine being so uninformed, so ignorant of what was going on in the wider scheme of things that all of this was a total surprise.”
I can. I was one of those uninformed, ignorant people until I stumbled upon this web site:)
But you are no longer, Fionnagh. It was a tremendous blessing for me as well to find this site.
Perhaps this will shake people out of their stupor. Sometimes all it takes is a good cold harsh dose of reality. One thing for certain…hunger knows no party.
Don’t be so sure about hunger knowing no party. If the Feds direct the supplies to their allied states, Red States will be disproportionally hungry. Fortunately, we’re more competent and otherwise prepared. God bless TCH!
Mostly warmer climates also.
And Red States still have Dem supporters and the poor in them.
Maybe this’ll learn ’em.
One would, in a saner world, think so. But we are anywhere but in a sane world or time. Still, one prays so. Something has to wake them up. If these people who have not the faintest idea what’s coming by design have children, I do worry for them.
But…..many red states grow their own food. Still lots of victory gardens out in the country.
I know that feeling
I, too, felt the cold hard slap of reality that The Conservative Treehouse provides some seven years ago
Wonderful, invigorating, so refreshing
I live in an area that has had two winter storms in a week. We normally don’t get two in a year and people were caught off guard because they don’t pay attention to anything that matters.
I too was one of the low info voters until the end of 2014 when I was blessed to find this site.
It has been red alert since Nov.4 2020.
How do you think they got elected..?
Yes, saw that too. My thought is that the D.C. bubble is an isolation barrier. No news in no good ideas out.
Once they commit to the Debauched City, they remain blinded to the outside world.
Dueing my trips to the DC area I’ve noticed the distinct shift in media reporting. The politics runs heavy in the news with a strong slant leftward. Even the “conservative” voices in call in shows are lame. It is a bubble there.
When traveling to certain parts LA, I’ve also experiences a significant bubble. While is a decrepit neighborhood, I saw fliers for radical groups all around. It was an alternate reality there.
Any liberal enclave must operate in an alternate reality of it will crumble in upon itself.
One guy was surprised he hadn’t heard anything about it on The News.
haha. As. If.
Imagine that!!!! Perhaps the media were unaware as well. It wouldn’t surprise me.
Those same ‘uninformed’ were likely still wearing masks.
More heartbreaking (at least to me) and ever more common, is the shopper standing in front of a shelf, for several minutes, a despondent look on their face; they are NOT doing math in their head, trying to decide which package of product “x” is the “better bargain”; they are desperately trying to figure out if they can afford ANY of product “x”, or if this is yet another thing on their list, they will have to”do without” cause they simply can’t afford it.
And to me, Dutchman. I can tell you how it rips out the heart out of me.
I shop at Aldi and Kroger weekly. This week, at Aldi, I was returning a cart (you have to put a quarter in to shop with their carts), and an older gentleman came up to me to use my cart. He tried to give me his quarter, as I had not clicked my cart back in to retrieve my quarter. I told him to keep his quarter and take the cart. He was stunned and thanked me profusely (for a quarter). Times are getting tough for our older generation…
I know, BuckeyeMom. The government sees that generation…my generation…as having lived long enough. And it is doing its dead level best to usher most of us off this planet. I worry for those who are in dire circumstances. In Japan, the elderly are revered and treasured for what they can pass on to the younger generations. Here? Well, we are considered a drain on the economy, and the sooner we make our farewells the better.
Life means nothing to these aberrations, at the beginning or the end. That’s what they are. There are pieces missing from them. Their hearts, for a start, are missing. How such people rise to the positions they hold and cling onto them until old age, wrecking lives, destroying all they touch to enrich themselves is beyond me.
So the gratitude of an elderly gentlemen for a quarter when I think of those power utterly brings me to tears. And he is not alone. Billions for war, nothing for citizens at home who need help. How far have we fallen.
Same at Rulers, a Kroger store, and I always leave my cart in the foyer leading into the store, same as I did at Aldis.
I never get the quarter.
Especially with the types of funds going to illegals that invaded our nation.
I cry for these folks too.
Oh amen, JJ!
Or what to take out of their basket so they can purchase a more needed item.
All unnecessary.
Have followed Sundance for next to forever and I am that person desperately trying to decide how to pinch pennies while stashing what little I can.
Blessings
One neighbor I conversed with thought like me about storing food and supplies; but her husband didn’t. He told the neighbors what I had.
That was about 2008/2009. So, I was having a porch visit with my next door…not really close ever, but did visit a few times.
The subject did come up and I told her I had enough that I could ensure I could trade food for security. My husband is dead now.
She said that she’d rather be dead than live in a time that she’d have to store food…I said, well, you will be!!
And quite frankly, there’s no place for us to atlas shrug really.
The good news is humans are omnivores and Communists are decidedly inedible. 😉
More seriously, a comfortable society requires a bit more suffering to get the message across. The downside of this is that such suffering can tip people over into retaliation or send them onto a death spiral. I would expect some of both as things worsen.
IMO, it’s a good time to find out exactly how little one can live on. Few people do that, rather focus on having as much as possible. That’s OK, that’s the American way, but in times of strife, conditioning oneself to suffer is beneficial.
So far this winter, the fireplace has been the only heat and I’ve gotten comfortable with 50’s in the house. No food goes to waste and very few food containers do either. I eat on five bucks a day, holding firm on that even with inflation. Haven’t had trash service for over a year. Amazing how little trash one can generate if one works at it.
Unlike many, I don’t have a gigantic larder and pantry, just enough, as is customary for rural/mountain living, to last a couple months with a managed diet. My water comes from natural sources and power isn’t necessary to procure a supply for a couple months.
Two things they don’t sell at the store are health and faith. My first thanks of the day is for those. Then the rest of the day happens. God be with you and this great Republic.
Don’t you know the crime rate’s going up, up, up, up, up? (Shadoobie, shattered)
To live in this town you must be tough, tough, tough, tough, tough, tough, tough (Shadoobie, shattered) (Shadoobie, shattered, shattered)
yes, the real horror and terror begins soon.
stay AWAY FROM ALL MAJOR CITIES..PARTICULARLY THOSE CITIES THAT ARE DISTANT AND REMOVED FROM HARVEST FIELDS AND LIVESTOCK PASTURES.
Avoid also major transportation hubs
the levy is breaking..she is topping.
and there will be nothing but those that ARE ALREADY PREPARED FOR THE LONG HAUL…and those who are not.
this is the state we find ourselves in.
revolution stage 3 now advances at BREAK NECK SPEED.
more will join in massive growing dissent towards this corrupt inept central government.
The state will react….the reaction will be to double down on mandates, restrictions, and in some cases total blackout of food, water and power as well as all forms of communication.
If you have not prepared, there is still time.
Imagine a natural disaster of a scale comparable to a seismic 11 event. The devastation will be so widespread the effects will bleed over into every single facet of YOUR LIFE. No matter where you are, no matter how safe you might think you will be..there will be effects. And these effects will persist for a very long time..recovery from such an event may not even be possible for some areas…And for other areas where recovery CAN HAPPEN, it will be slow and a return to any normalcy is unlikely to ever happen.
Find friends and neighbors of like mind. People you can trust. organize now and begin planning and testing your contigencies. Plan to conduct your lives without power, fuel, communication and food. If you are paralyzed into INACTION, the problems will escalate out beyond your control.
DO NOT BE AFRAID AT THIS TIME. THIS IS THE MOMENT TO ACT FEARLESSLY AND BUILD YOUR INSURANCE PLANS.
God Bless America
I will be going off grid soon. I bid all of you well in advance, just in case we lose touch. I will try my best to stay connected and share what I can and hope you all do the same. But that may not be possible very soon, so use these moments efficiently and begin focusing your efforts right now to prepare for the coming stormS. Plural…Many different events are about to happen. CCCP19 and the death jab mRNA will be taking many lives soon. The introduction of these insanely idiotic mandates and policies will have a far more powerful and negative effect than the virus itself.
You have been warned. repeatedly. It was a warning made from LOVE…BY the SIMPLE ACT OF MANY WHO HAVE THE MORAL COURAGE TO EXPLAIN WHAT IS COMING AND TO SHARE WITH YOU A MESSAGE OF TRUTH.
Please take care of yourselves. We will need you ALL in the revolution. Either way, you will participate. Either as a direct warrior acting to restore your communities, or as a spectator, living on the fringe hoping someone else will do all the hard lifting for you. Some will not be capable of doing “their part”..Be kind…understand the mission is meaningless if we are not directing our attention to those who are not in a position to defend themselves against this tyranny.
Be bold. BE WITH GOD. BE RIGHT IN YOUR HEART ABOUT YOUR CAUSE.
God Bless America
When Civilisations collapse, the survivors transition to the earliest stages OF Civilisation (when groups of humans first stopped hunter/gathering) and lived in small, close knit self-sufficient villages.
Think the Amish, as an ifea of what your striving for.
Its called being “clannish” or “tribalism” and those used as derogatory terms, hence think of the AMISH, for a mental image thats not derogatory.
regitiger, yeah we ALL may be bidding farewell at some point, myself as well.
For when you do, fare the well, watch your topknot, horizon and 6!
Take care of yourself, regitiger. 😘
”’If you have not prepared, there is still time.”’
I’m so sorry that I don’t believe this. I have been doing this for over 10 years and haven’t left the house for over a month for anything.
I just don’t see anyone getting prepared in these times for what is coming.
I have faith, and it wavers ever day since I lost my husband of 46 years last year……but I always feel my faith return…I pray for those with children mostly. They didn’t ask for this and are the innocents.
I am so prepped, but still am living in a small bedroom to not heat the house.
I just view that as a sinful waste now.
I’m sorry for your loss. It. must certainly be difficult for you.
Excellent point!
Yes, we’ve been stocking up on things such as canned vegetables/fruits, frozen meals and such
But we’ve also been storing bags of rice and pinto beans, dry goods that can be used for soups and stews
We do need to get better at the general “prepper” lifestyle though…
Beans and rice supply all right of the amino acids your body can’t synthesize. Every culture combines the two in some form. Take note of how our forebears lived, before life was so easy that “we” had to invent first-world problems for ourselves. 🙄
Dunes2021,
While I might express it differently, I agree.
Focus on basic neccesties; food, clothing, shelter, energy, transportation, and yes include entertainment, it IS a neccesity.
Then, look at how much you ACTUALLY spend on each category, and look at ways to get comparable “quality” at a lower price.
Keep in mind that any investment which permanently lowers your monthly costs in any category is a worthwhile investment; a fireplace or woodstove reduces energy costs going forward, etc.
Two big things that add cost but not value ;CREDIT and STATUS. Eliminate them, and you will find it is easy to reduce cost, while actually increasing value.
Fail to address Credit and Status, and it will be very difficult if not impossible to make significant reductions.
Get OFF the Credit enslavement merry-go-round, its a killer.
I heat with a wood stove and it’s a nice cozy 74 to 80 degrees. I intend to be comfortable inside my house. 50 degrees is so far from comfortable that you must be bundled to your eyeballs. I also burn Osage Orange, the highest btu wood in the USA.
It rarely gets below freezing for more than a couple of weeks here. And it warms up during the day. We bought minus 20 degree sleeping bags. We’re going to tuff it out.
What a great and insightful comment. Thank you for educating me Dunes2021
The next proclamation will be for all “hoarders” ( with the exception of elites, of course) are to “voluntarily” turn over any food storage to the Grubermint, to be distributed to “the community” and “less fortunate” in the name of equity.
WARNING if you do not comply voluntarily, then the Grubermint will “regretfully” have to institute more stricter mandates/ proclamations against “insurrectionist” who willfully put the greater good at risk by their selfish non conformity. We, the Grubermint leaders, will vigorously enforce this mandate by confiscation and arrest by the FIB and other duly appointed authorized police as we deem necessary..
This food shortage is an emergency caused by anti vaxxers and non compliant insurrectionist who refused to comply with the Office of Covid Ministry and experts such as Dictator FoulChe. All comrades are urged to turn in to the Grubermint anyone, including family members and close friends, they think may be hording food and goods in direct defiance of our mandates. This is for the greater good. Thank you for your compliance comrades. Do your part and we will get back to “normal” soon.
If they come for your store of grits and taters, they will find out about your store of ammunition.
This is why you take the ration cards, stand in line for food, and make sure to wear clothes that are too big for you. That and keep your mouth closed about what you have.
I think they will just round up everyone who is hungry and take them to a camp filled with cans of pork and beans. The ill prepared will be happy to go.
Store your food in multiple locations, and in locations where others would never think to look.
If anyone does try to take what is yours, make it as hard as possible for them to find it.
I’m in SoCal, been prepping since January 2021. Even got on a group with neighbors who grow food and have chickens. We decided to meet at the public library every Saturday at 9am if communication goes down.
I encourage everyone to set up a meeting place and time with like minded people in the area.
tiffthis – where in CA are you? I am surrounded on all sides by people who do not have a clue about what’s going on.
The OC?
Hey, Sundance… is there a way to PM?
Maybe we treepers should do that.. People in the same state
form a little branch should we lose this site we could keep in
touch with our fellow state treepers till we can get back together.
They will accuse people who have prepared of being hoarders. History repeats itself.
Lenin viewed the city workers as being the powerhouse of the Russian Revolution and on one occasion wrote “let the peasants starve” when it became clear that they had embraced what Lenin would have viewed as anti-Bolshevik beliefs – such as private land ownership, making profits etc.

Capitalism produces abundance. The object is to produce more, do it more efficently, sell for lowest price .
Antifacist corporate states want shortages so that the price of what they produce increases. They do not compete with other companies, instead they force the consumers to compete with other consumers to offer highest price for scarce commodities.
Simple answer to destroy the antifacists, shut down transportation.
I don’t mean to nitpick, and perhaps I’m misreading your statement…but my understanding is you can’t have an antifascist corporate state. A corporate state by definition would be fascist if it allows private ownership (even if only by elites). Otherwise it’s communism, which would disallow corporations.
At one time I thought “shutting it down” was a way to conquer the enemy, but now it seems it IS the enemy, that IS deliberately trying to shut down society, hence not sure throwing sand in the gears, isn’t furthering the enemies cause?
I’ve been pondering on where our “superiors”, the rich and the political class, would be if we really get into a *the stores are empty*there is no gas*looters roaming the streets* situation.
Interestingly, because the trust fund wielding offspring of the rich have NEVER done anything for themselves, they are now completely dependent on the middle class for everything.
My first wife was one of those trust fund babies except her parents died when she was 13. When she came of age she found that her guardians had made all the money disappear and she had to go to work, but that didn’t change the “better than others” attitude that they all carry.
She wouldn’t eat chicken as she called it “poor people food”. She wouldn’t eat corn on the cob unless it was picked within a few hours of cooking.
If these people have to try to survive on canned food and rice because they can’t get food delivered, they will be very unhappy because they can’t cope with any situation that they can’t buy their way out of.
Having steaks delivered by courier probably won’t work when the streets are controlled by mobs. Look at what the mobs are doing to the trains in LA. Drone deliveries would just guide them to your location.
A good example of this dependence on the middle class was the Titanic sinking.
Aboard were some of the richest people in the world, considered by some to be “alpha” males of the day because they were “educated”, surrounded themselves with sycophants and everyone bowed to their bidding.
They could buy whatever or whoever they wanted.
These “Captains of Industry” (including the ships captain), even though they were informed shortly after hitting the iceberg that the ship was going to sink and they didn’t have enough lifeboats, stood around for several hours watching the ship sink beneath them, while, in the hold of the ship (I have a copy of the cargo manifest) were:
Bales of Cork (bobs like a cork, right?), Oak Beams, 722 Casks of Tea, Bales of Hay, Many barrels of wine (empty them and put the bungs back in), Cases of oil, wooden dunnage & cargo nets.
Much more stuff that floats. The power was still on to the deck cranes.
Yes, I know, the hold was filling with water but the stuff that floats would be floating on top right?
Hoist the cargo nets up on deck, filled with items that float, lace them up with rope and onto the huge raft you go. They didn’t have to float forever, only until the rescue ships got there a few hours later. Instead, they stood there like scared children until they drowned.
Curiously, the cargo manifest listed a “Barrel of earth”. I’d be interested in others opinions of why someone would send a barrel of earth from Britain to the US.
I immediately flashed back to a book by Bram Stoker.
The water temperature that night was 33 degrees, even partially submerged and wet you would only last 15- 30 minutes.
So it’s better to give up and do nothing?
Sorry, not my style.
Absolutely not. Never quit, never give up. My point, simply put, is to analyze the situation and use your time constructing something that will float, metaphorically, not thrashing around in the flooding hold of a sinking ship desperately seeking salvation. On the decks of the Titanic they lacked leadership, as do we.
General Marquis de Lafayette is buried in Paris with soil from America.
Similar story came out of 9/11, elevator with 3 stockbrokers from the top floors, making over $100,000 each, and one window washer, making maybe $14.00/ hr.
Elevator stops when they cut power, on the 85th floor. Its between floors and when they pry the doors open, they are looking at several layers of sheetrock, and punching with fist and kicking does no good.
Window washer uses a sharp corner of his squeegie, to cut the paper surface of the sheetrock which then enables them to break it and get out.
I began with an earthquake kit after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. I saw folks having to wait in long lines for hours just to get basics. At the time my elderly mother was living right on the Hayward Fault in CA and I didn’t want her to have her or me have to wait in line for anything.. I have added to it substantially since then.
Mine started on 9/11. Being stuck in Manhattan with no way off and no where to go was an eye opener.
God warned Man what would happened if they rejected him and followed their own hearts. Unfortunately, the innocent will pay for the sins of the globalist and be blinded because Truth is not in them (the Holy Spirit).
Agree with your main point, but with a tweak:
“…. the innocent will pay for the sins of the globalist….”
In this life, I may suffer the consequences for some of what they are and what they dom but I cannot and will not”pay for their sins”. Words mean things.
If they don’t want Jesus, the Christ to pay for their sins, they will pay for them themselves, a debt never to be paid off.
Payment for sin is a real thing, both legally and spiritually. Don’t want to go to preaching, but just sayin’…..
Steve Bannon says that DC looks like East Berlin. Empty restaurants, bars, stores, etc. Now residents being asked to ration. Not an inspiring look for the land of the free and the home of the brave. Sure didn’t take Brandon and Cackles long, did it?
I wonder if there is a PCP shortage in DC as well..Probably not.

Depending where you live, might not be wise to go shopping alone. 🤔
Sage advice.
I don’t.
I bring my friend Kimber with me.
Great idea Auntie…! I bring my good buddy Walther. He’s normally a very quiet type.
Unfortunately, it won’t matter where you live. Desperate people will go wherever they think they can get food. One of the nicest areas in the Twin Cities (Woodbury) has seen car jackings skyrocket in the past couple months. Nice areas may be even more vulnerable, since they can afford the huge increases and are still buying (if they can find it). Be careful out there.
The “new” type of car jackings, they wait till your RETURNING to your car, wait till you load your groceries, THEN snatch the car.
Soon “riding shotgun” will return to its original meaning!
That includes covid policy to not shop, not play, not love, not learn, not live.
Minimize the individual.

“Once you are prepared, shut up, zip it, run silent and run deep.”
Exactly.
My neighbors have not observed me unload one single load out of my car since I began stocking up one year ago this month. (I started then because I knew shortages and very high prices were inevitable once Jack and Jill were in the White House. I knew that because I’m 77 years old and have paid attention.)
I always pull my car inside the garage and shut the garage door before I unload a single item. They have no idea that my floor to ceiling garage cupbords are absolutely full, and that there are multiple storage boxes under my king bed that plumb full of HBA necssaries.
A few days ago, I added an additional padlock to the inside of my garage door so that, even if they are able to overcome the garage door mechanism to begin raising the door from the outside, it will never go higher than about 5″.
If your neighbors have watched you unloading, better do some force-multiplying on your locks.
I live in a place where my neighbors cannot see my house.
I used to.
Check out videos on line that show how easy it is for people to break into a garage door. Can be done in about 10 seconds. But there are very simple fixes to prevent it. I strongly recommend people pay closer attention to their garage door security than most folks typically do. There are also garage door alert systems that are pretty simple, that you can install on the garage and that will alert you if the door opened when it shouldn’t have. (They can be handy if you leave and forget to close the door, as well.)
OK. I looked at several of them. They all present the same way of getting the door open. What I have done with my padlock will prevent them from getting the door lifted more than 4-5 inches. The padlock is installed in the track at the side of the door, padlocked to the frame of the house. In order to open the door (when they would confront my locked vehicle with active security prevent them from opening doors to storage). They cannot open my door and, since I have three close neighbors who can see the front of my garage, I doubt they would linger long.
Oh, well. If I’m wrong and everything is stolen, I’ll post a note.
We should make sure we have long-term supplies of medications, vitamins, zinc, etc.
This is funny. I hope the entitled deepstate hacks that have ruined the city have a really difficult time when the natives they spend a fortune to avoid come looking for food, etc.
Some things to ponder:
1) Will Barack Hussein Obama open his well-stocked Kalorama larder to his hungry brothers and sisters of colour?
2) When the looting of D.C. grocery stores starts, will the D.C. Police cease guarding the Capitol building against Trump insurrectionists, and protect D.C. grocers?
3) Will AntiFa charter buses and carry hungry savages out to the surrounding suburbs, so foodstuffs can be procured from the wypipo who live there?
why do you think they were putting up a wall at the Capitol.
Exactly, Pat.
Please be careful shopping. Watch for anyone following you when you exit the store/get to your car. Be alert to bad guy 1 who sees you exit the store calling bad guy 2 in the parking lot. Bring your groceries into your home in a laundry basket (kept in your car) with a blanket over top (if you can’t close the garage door to unload).
On the way, their next step may be issuing ration stamp books for the purchase of staples, similar to those our country utilized during WWII.. Along with its inevitable black market.
Can’t eat staples,..although I suppose it would keep your iron levels up.
People can’t eat carpet nails either.
Don’t ask me how I know.
It was a long time ago in a land far away……………………………………
I’m certain Muriel’s table will be well stocked and loaded with fine things; her mouth and ample belly full from the offerings produced by the citizens of Panem Districts 4,9,10 and 11.
I’m so many ways, that Hunger Games story about the freakish rulers (and their police-force military) of Panem and those who exist to supply them, has come true.
I am sure the good citizens of DC will think the same. Even with the defund the police, her police body guard will be intact. Time will tell what happens
Am I evil if I say let it burn? Ye reap what ye sow.
Because there are children in DC who never asked for any of this.
Their parents are responsible. I have my own children to worry about.
The sins of the father. It’s sad. I hate to think any innocent child is dragged into this.
God will be the final Judge.
All we can do is the best we can for our own.
Those are the same children who don’t know what gender they are….in 20 years they’ll be the ones doing the same things their liberal parents are doing today.
it will happen no matter how we think or imagine.

How will our military food supply hold up? Serious question and so many Treepers are so informed, I had to ask!
Well they are kicking out any decent Americans so do we care?
The military massively stockpiles beans, rice and long-term food supplies.
Given how they fed the NG troops brought in to protect Congress, I am not optimistic.
True this. They will have only so many MRE’s.
And the woke military seem to be stuck on stupid.
And remember, they’re purging the doers. Our best.
Watch as the woke bourbon generals and their lackeys
fail badly. Very badly.
On the bright side, we will have many well trained and
patriotic veterans available to help us.
the military forces will be adequately supplied as there is a vast amount of resources set aside to guarantee the state of readiness is not degraded by food and power insecurity.
The military will likely be mobilized soon (first the national guard and then regular forces later) to step in and take over transmodal networks and operations.
It will come with a cost however: the military is not trained or set up institutionally to provide adequate support and solutions to the coming food and power insecurity/scarcity.
They will be directed to critical infrastructure assets and to preserve those and defend them. This will be pressured by a very political biased and corrupt “authority”.
if you are not one of the “valids”, you are completely on your own.
There will be no white horses riding in to save the day.
I read a book about the 2nd WW and the gooberment confiscated all the cattle from the farms to feed the military. Cans of bully beef.
Grain silos, large ranches, slaughterhouses, large food packaging/production facilities, etc… will be appropriated by the military, for starters.
Bow wowser will probably want FDR style ration books next based on vax status, no vax no food.

There is no Stock Club.
Thank you, Chris, for reminding us. If scarcity in the secular world is our future, God calls us to love others out of the abundance that He gives us.
Telling people to only buy what they need is like throwing gasoline on a fire.
I did my run into Newport this morning. My barber raised his prices (again!) $17 last time $20 today.
Fred Meyers pretty well stocked up. Beef is high, chicken still okay (got skinless, boneless breasts for $2.18/lb in foamily packs. plenty of canned foods, pastas, condiments. Out of stock for our dry cat food (Purina) lots of Friskies (put in Purina spots – can’t have bare shelves can we?)
Walmart well stocked. Find one type of the Purina the cats will eat. Was $18 and change last time. Now $20 and change.
All grocery departments were well stocked.
As for DC, well, there will much pain and suffering, brought onto themselves. Now you know why the cement walls are up at the White house. Also expect the fence to back up around the Congressional buildings and the National Guard deployed. If I lived there the fliers would be on the streets, pointing out that the current occupant in the WH is responsible for this and list of why and what he could do to fix it. I’d scatter them everywhere.
Big blue cities are going to burn before this over.
They can put up the fences in DC all they want but unless CONgress critters and their staff and WH staffers all sleep in the office buildings they will have to leave the enclosure to go home. Good luck to them.
Are we being fenced out or are they being fenced in?
What a golden opportunity. Put up walls, to protect our goverent. Take over hotels, turn them into barracks to house our brave government workers,….put gun towers every hundred feet, along the wall.
Then, make it like “Hotel California”; roaches check IN, but they can’t check OUT.
Big blue cities are going to burn before this over.
Remember when Obama wanted to do away with the suburbs?
Since this is by design, what if this is to flush the inhabitants of the cities into the suburbs and rural areas?
What if, along with the digital passport and NWO, the goal is to transform the areas not typically held by the dems?
Food for thought. Like locusts they will be. I may not have bought enough ammo. 😛
I’m not sure any of us will!
Publix kind of “eased” this problem by simply limiting the amount of any one item people could buy in one trip.
And yes, I know that some people will find “work arounds” for that. But, in general, it worked pretty well.
That was done everywhere.
Those shopping restrictions that included one-way aisles, spots on the floor six feet apart, checking vax status at the door, one way entrances and head counts on capacity were good practice for what appears to be coming.
I remember the 6 foot spaced line of masked potential shoppers down the sidewalk and out into the parking lot outside of Trader Joe’s waiting for permission to enter the store. I wanted something from TJ’s and decided it was not worth it.
Pre-Covid, I shopped there a lot. The day I saw those six-feet-apart lines, yeah, I drove away and have never gone back.
This is going to send DC into a panic.
Of course, ol’ Muriel will be doing her part, and fellow shopppers will be able to take photos of the actuality.
Sundance has noted that these tyrants don’t do their own shopping, part of what insulates them from reality.
absolutely correct.
the “elites” will send their personal shoppers, p.a.’s, majordomos, housekeepers, butlers, maids, cooks, household servants, and in-home dog trainer to battle the unwashed for any necessary supplies.
they will fly in, or ship by train/rented truck/car any of the niceties not available locally
(like the filtered tulip dew our host has mentioned.)
unlikely they will even notice – they live like this anyway –
unless, of course, delivery on their newest RR is delayed.
i don’t begrudge them any honest penny they have.
just saying supply shortages aren’t even a ripple on their pond.
now, mess with their hedge funds and now you’re talking….
I still have my Grandparent’s sugar ration card. Back then word spread via grapevine “shipment of beef at Longo’s, shh” the women hightailed it to that meat counter 10 deep crushing women at the front. gasoline, tires, wood, butter and much else severely rationed. here we go again. gonna be hard on the deer
Yes, otherwise law abiding citizens will if food is scarce resort to poaching among other things. People in big blue cities will suffer first and then migrate to the rural areas searching for whatever they can get their hands on.
Only if gasoline is still available…and they can still afford it. I am still curious to see if any/many of the illegal aliens find Mexico to be more attractive after the SHTF here.
I wonder if there is a special store for Congress and the Deepstate. Someone might want to follow some of them home to see if they go to an unmarked warehouse. Also, see if groceries are being delivered from an unmarked warehouse.
I don’t doubt it I know they have their own post office.
It may be that the truckers and transport companies have been giving DC a low priority to force them stop the insanity.
Next come ration books to supplement the empty shelves.
Now we know why that wall went up around the White House.
It’s a well known secret that truck drivers don’t want to operate on the East Coast, or California. They get what they deserve.
To NOT see this coming requires a high level of willfull blindness, ignoring writing on the wall, in ten foot high letters.
Shortage/rationing/ hording/prosecuting and persecuting horders, and those who opt to barter, aka “black marketers” although they will HAVE to change that name, too rasscciisst!
where the ccp19 and mRNA accelerant has ‘failed”, the policies and mandates will achieve:
maximum impact to food and power, with great loss of life…
the reasons for these events are obvious to many who have followed the WEF and global reset tyrannts..
the fear of an out of control existential threat from anthropolicic causes global climate crisis is in control now. No manner of mitigation to this existential threat is practical or logistically or technologically or economically possible.
So they are bent on turning off the food supply and following soon the power switch will be tripped.
The goal is to:
avert disaster of the coming climate event by ANY AND ALL MEANS RIGHT NOW.
This means to cut food supply and turn the power OFF.
This will of course cause a massive dying off…it will take years, but it WILL HAPPEN.
Those that survive will have the self sustaining ability to overcome these man made solutions to are about to create the GREAT FILTER. One would be very wise to take this opportunity right now and get prepared. The revolution IS going to happen. And then after that, there will be a long period where absolute mayhem will ensue. No one will be unaffected. One would be wise to get comfortable and ready with firearms.
“In the bigger picture… When leftist policies are followed to their natural conclusion you see officials in the leftist economic system asking people not to engage in economic activity”.
How ironic that the disciples of this Leftist ideology are so blinded that they think and call this “progressive”.
Hope Muriel is prepared for a certain class of people who love to burn cities down when they get agitated or don’t get their way.
Make sure you have a lot of the Washington Post on hand for when you run out of toilet paper.
Bowser is arguably the worst Democrat in the country, and that’s really saying something!
Caius Keys: Perhaps, but, she’s got an awful lot of competition.
And I’m positive the elected, appointed and upper crust of the Wash., D.C., Democrats and their ilk including RINOs, who are never held accountable to their dictates will hoard and get whatever they want to stock their shelves and continue to dine in private at posh restaurants while ignoring their covid mandates. It’s the usual screw the taxpayer but make sure you vote for us attitude.
DING, DING, DING! We have a WINNER!! “Once you are prepared, shut up, zip it, run silent and run deep.” Absolutely. You can’t help anyone, if you are dead, and your stores or private stockpiles are looted. The Elites won’t be missing any meals.
Food’s not even on there.
Food is taken for granted. There are a lot of people that believe they will just be able to go to a restaurant to get food if the grocery store is out.
Again, thanks to Sundance and the CTH community. Things are still abundant here, and it’s still possible to sock away a couple months of calories in a couple shopping trips. Only my wife knows that we are preparing. As I fill her in on events such as trucker vax mandate at the borders or DC starting voluntary rationing the reality of what may be coming is setting in. It’s hard to tell if I am prudent or paranoid, but I figure a couple months of dry beans and rice is just like insurance. It isn’t free, I hope I don’t have to use it, but it will be invaluable if I do need it. I don’t want to get caught flat footed.
now that you have accomplished the contingency for food scarcity, I would suggest (humbly) to think about and plan for the coming power scarcity.
In my area, I have built 3 underground propane tanks with gas plumbing..for two requirements: food cooking and also.and a smaller section of the home for “heat/cooling”….smaller is efficient. One does not need to overthink or overbuild. Smaller is better as it requires less energy for long durable periods of self sustained power/energy source.
even IF the power is not turned off, the costs of running energy will be prohibitively expensive very soon in many areas. One would be wise to assume the grid will go down..periods of brown out and complete disconnect.
meals ready to eat are a priority, but also the ability to provide cooking power and cooling and heating for living spaces.
this makes more sense when you understand the emphasis on developing good relations with trustworthy and dependable neighbors and friends in your immediate area. Food and power is best managed at scale.
Example: raising the temperature of two gallons of water to a boil requires approximately 1 cubic feet of natural gas. One could cook rice with 2 gallons of water and provide food for many people with just one large shared pot. But cooking one gallon of water and the amount of food it can serve is far less efficient. Of course there is the application of pressure cooking and presoaking rice to make the process more efficient and requires less natural gas. So the idea is that bigger is more efficient. If you got from cooking for two to cooking for 50, the total savings is significant. I have simplified using rice and boiling water. But the idea applies to nearly all cooking.
additionally for heating and cooling (I know this will put some people off), but sharing sleeping quarters with as many people as possible is also an efficient use of energy. Especially with heating…as the more warm bodies in close proximity acts as a heat sink naturally. For years, our hunting and fishing camps are arranged in this way, using both regimes..shared cooking for the entire crew, and also sleeping in a smaller shared quarters. it was not designed to save money per se, but to use the least amount of power and resources in an area where these resources are not easily transported ….the efficiency methods were introduced simply to keep things simple and easier to maintain for the entire season, where we spend alot of time in very remote area(s).
This also is an efficient use of the entire teams efforts and labor. It takes just two people to put together food and manage it for everyone else, who can then free up to do other chores and tasks. Whereas the cooking for only two does not yield this same kind of resource leverage.
I am replying to your post, because I think it’s important to think about power and efficiency..and how smaller shared living spaces and cooking (and cleaning and prep) for a large group is far more efficient use of energy..and not just natural gas and propane…
it’s about scale.
WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS…TOGETHER. It’s a very powerful maxim. it works and it works wonderfully. Just have to organize and get people to cooperate toward the same goal. This is where the quality of your friends and neighbors is paramount. I find it works best by demonstrating unimpeachable respect from others..the leaders will come naturally as they are produced from repeated tests of trust. it does not have to be perfect. it just has to work.
God Bless America
Thanks for the info. We live in a very temperate climate, so we only need to heat our home for comfort not survival. We have a completely analog natural gas stove from the early 1960s, so even if there is a power outage we’ll be able to cook. I plan on getting some fuel for our Coleman camping stove. I have considerable mountaineering experience above timberline so I know how to manage living in the absence of creature comforts.
People need to prepare for themselves and be prepared to love their neighbor as themselves.
I have purchased food items that we normally don’t, or would probably, never eat. They are on the “last resort” shelf. If we have over-prepped, than so be it. At most, we will have lost a $200 investment. If we do have to use those items, then the USA, we once knew and grew up in, is over.
They can literally starve. Cry me a river. You reap what you sow.
Let’s hope.
What, neither of you live here, in the USA! Hm, your observation skills seem lacking. It would be much better to come back to the the old adage “God helps those who help themselves, and then help each other”!👵😇
this will be nationwide.
Of course it will -thank the incompetent pukes in the govt and the band of retards under Biden the sniffer and his failed commie policies.
Actually, it’s their PLAN
The failure is by design.
Yep!
This supply chain problem was created by the idiot Biden and his damn Democrats. I’ll stockpile all I want, to hell with these idiots.
Exactly! Adding to our food storage is what we do. Government doesn’t get to dictate how we manage our foods or our meals, or our household.
We’re not changing our shopping habits.
Those without will quickly find those that prepared and take what you have.
They’ll go to outlying counties and raid those stores and it’ll spread from there.
