Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

One of my most favorite things to do is sit on the couch at a friend’s house and watch/listen to their dogs devour dry food! So simple. Can’t explain why it’s so satisfying and joyful, but it is.
Especially love when their bowl clangs when they clean their plate. 😂
sometimes they stand and watch the bowl clanging around, waiting for it to stop and check out the bottom of the bowl to make sure they didn’t leave anything good (noticed when feeding dog for friend)
I have three boys, pretty much the same except sometimes silverware is involved.
You have got to provide greater detail!
Perhaps he meant they know how to operate a can opener? It’s the only thing I can think of since he’s leaving us in suspense Even if that doesn’t make sense 🤷♀️
Please tell, palerider. Please ?
A timely re-“tweet”
Orange hair good!

RIP el Rushbo, 🙂
And First Lady Melania
Grace, beauty, a beautiful soul, decorum, love of her adopted country, breeding…yes…I miss it all.
There are many videos of dogs doing amazing things. This is one of them.

Wow, yes!!
Tears of joy here, I’m such a sap
Thanks for the post Sarah, humans are awesome
Massive Kamikaza attacks against our forces at Okinawa towards the end of the war with the japs.
The japs sent thousands of planes to crash into our ships at Okinawa ….. day and night.
They threw everything at the Americans and the Americans took the hit and went on fighting, closing in on the total victory over the treacherous japs.
Commie coup plotters take note,
Americans are not very friendly to people who try to take away their freedoms.
We make the enemy pay a heavy price so they won’t ever want to try it again and we only offer them unconditional surrender and quick justice.
“Let’s go Brandon!”
My dad was on one of those air craft carriers. Hit by several kamikazis that blew holes through the decks. I have the photos. Dad described the battle and the force with which we hit back. A sea filled with our navy vessels as far as the eye can see. That was then. That was the Greatest Generation. That was under the leadership of men like Eisenhower, Patton, Montgomery, et al. Not to mention the cajones on Truman. We closed down our entire country two years ago and still can’t get it back up and running. Heck we are still afraid to take off masks.
Heroes are displaced. You see when a people do not value human exceptionalism you have no ‘reason’ upwards.
These statues torn down are not a coincidence they are calculated moves to devalue such greatness.
We looked up to moral superiority and it held strong. Slackers were labeled as such. And work and values were entry into society.
Now, it’s hip to live in a basement and get handouts, steal, rob, kill cops, kill babies.
Agree with you 100% palerider and all by design.
How right you are. That is the way they have been raised…..not raised to stand on their own two feet.
Wow. That’s amazing he would talk about it. So many from that generation didn’t want to talk about what happened.
G-d bless your father.
He never said a word until he was in his 80’s. Thank you.
Interesting. How do you figure not a word until that age? What an amazing generation, indeed. How far we have fallen as a people, and as men, and as women.
I’ve known three vets who saw combat in WWII. Two of them wouldn’t talk about their experiences beyond some vague comment like “it was hell on earth, something I hope you never have to witness” or “ it’s in the past, let’s not relive it.” They were both Army vets, and were brothers. The younger one served in Korea, was a POW there but escaped, then went on to be a Lt Col of a Green Beret battalion in Viet Nam. His brother landed on Omaha Beach and wound up in the Bulge (Huertgen Forest).
The other man was a flight engineer on B-17s and B-24s flying missions over Germany. He was shot down three times (3 different planes) and he survived all three, relatively unscathed. He had to literally be drunk on about 12 beers before he’d relate a couple of bad situations that he couldn’t forget. He always described them exactly like every other time. So we all knew he was likely forever traumatized by the experience. His wife always told him to “not talk about it because you know it upsets you.” Lord only knows what nightmares he had.
All three of those vets are gone now.
I think it is as you stated, they did not like to talk about it. My dad never had sons, but he did have 4 grandsons and when they got older, they asked questions and he started opening up. By that time (about 20 years ago), he was fed up with our government, loss of personal property and freedom and believed it was all for nothing. It was shocking and sad to hear him say these things, but he grew up in poverty, lived through the Pacific theater, came home, started a family, built his own business, and watched how the government intruded (over time) into every private matter in his life. I had to “come of age” to understand.
This short video of a horse and a great Pyrenees is so beautiful and very peaceful to watch.
Waiting for Garrison to show up and post a series of gorgeous pieces of music. Here’s one for a place holder till he gets here: Antonio Munez playing Diamonte Negro.
Life got in the way . . . again. I was away last night. Sorry. This is really good playing.
Hi!
Hi Leenie!
Hi, Grandpa….the tree feels odd…😒
It’s the internet demons.
Be here tonight. Promise! 🙂
Looking forward to it!
You don’t have any obligation to post and certainly no need to apologize. But when you post every night (just as Stillwater does) and then don’t post, I, like I’m sure many Treepers, take note and worry. Hope all is well, or as well as can be under whatever circumstances you’re dealing with…
While all is well, sometimes even relatively minor vicissitudes demand immediate attention. Thanks for asking, Sarah. 🙂
I post every night because I really enjoy doing it—I love good music and enjoy sharing it with others. When I’m unable to post I genuinely regret my absence.
No more than we do…
Sad and confusing when two very loved posters suddenly and inexplicably go head to head…. Trying to wade back through posts to figure out how this happened…to no avail. I am happy to see you back.
Huh? Leenie I think perhaps you misunderstood something. Not sure what the “head to head” is about, or maybe I missed something. Or it could be that words typed on a screen w/o the benefit of hearing them, tone of voice, facial expression, etc, get misinterpreted. Not sure, but I think all’s well.
Hi Sarah Lee!!! Not to worry! All is well. You did miss something, but no worries. 👋
I generally don’t keep score, Leenie. Life’s too short for that. 🙂
Glad to hear…
My son just sent me this video – professor presents a video to his class of an experiment with 2 monkeys regarding the “equality” of the food they were given. Pretty funny.
I really want to se this vid, but it’s not showing up for me>>>> totally blank space???!!!!
Found a YT link. Perhaps this will work for you sunny! Fingers crossed.
“Pray hope and don’t worry.
That is one of the things that Padre Pio used to say . . . and of course, just call out, “Jesus. Mary and Joseph!”
I realize that some people don’t want to purchase anything at all through Amazon but I find it so nice to find good things to read which I put on my Kindle . . . my Mom and I each have a Kindle .
. we both have the Bible . . . if you read from it every day. you can get through it in a year. We also have a daily devotional comprised of writings from Padre Pio.
I also have three books with stories about Padre Pio. two of them edited by Diane Allen (from articles compiled from the quarterly newsletter about Padre Pio which I think she helped start. “Pray. Hope and Don’t Worry” . . . I tead a little bit of that at bedtime.

Good Morning ☀️ Mungrel
I left you a post on yesterday’s daily thread 😉
Morning, Cat!😊 I hope you’re warmer than we are.
And Godspeed to our dear Treehouse technicians as they battle the gremlins who have trespassed on our beautiful home.💓
Good morning, Betsy! The Internet demons are still at work, I see. I think we need to help Sundance and the moderators, and start rebuking the demons in the Name of Jesus. 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻
Amen, G!! He has intervened before. Remembering the one week window WordPress gave Sundance when he had to save all his archived info and articles and a find a forever home. One week!
Impossible some would say, and I’m certain WordPress thought they’d scuppered him.
But they didn’t consider the Heavenly Force or its Commander in Chief, Who “chose sides” as it were. I firmly believe there was an intervention then, a miracle. An almost insurmountable task completed by His grace and under His watchful gaze is how I view it, and I pray for a quick and satisfactory resolution of this problem. Our Treehouse hosts and hostesses must be exhausted.🙏
Good morning, FC, hope you are staying warm this morning. Cats like warm. All 3 of ours are snuggled inside, sleeping. 🙂
Afternoon grandpa 🙋♀️
Curled up and basking in the sun, just like all good cats!
I left you a msg on Tuesday’s thread about the rocking grace. They sound like an awesome pair. Perhaps they’ll be playing Monday night😉 ❤️
I’ll go back and read it. Just got back from venturing out in the cold, had to drive 20 miles to get srtepdad 4 of his medicines and got to use my gloves. Yay, don’t have that chance too often and when I do they are out of sight in a drawer. But today I remembered.
Thank you for being so nice but Rocking in Grace won’t be playing in public anytime soon. Both dudes are 65, haven’t played in a long time, and need to get their fingers moving.
But may be one day… 🙂
Very sweet reply, thank you! Nowadays my Bible is always with me even though it’s on my iPhone (love using the satanic technology to glorify God) and I have a .45 in my holster. I always pack even when I am not on duty as church security.
I was trying to insert a heart emoji but obviously I am not smart enough 🙂
Wow, it appeared
And it’s giant…LOL!
Happy you used your gloves. I forget sometimes my nimble fingers ain’t so nimble anymore. Got pair’s everywhere (enough to put socks on a centipede)
iPhone for religious purposes – it’s what us ambassadors do. Gotta go where evil lurks to thwart it 😉
Your heart emoji is on scale with how large your heart is grandpa. I love it!💕
If it’s okay with you,I’m still going to keep that image of the rocking in grace in my head. For some reason, it brings a big smile to my face every time I imagine it. 😘
I am tickled pink that you’d do that. Maybe it will become reality sooner than I think.
I better go and practice now while wifey went to check on her sister.
I really appreciate your heart comment. It’s always open for friends. 🙂
Good morning, Mungrel💓🙏 May God truly bless you today (and every day) and make your burdens light. B
Mornin’ son, hope it gets fixed soon so we hear from you in English 🙂. It’s been 45-46 years since a took some very basic Latin.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

Mornin’ infidels!
Greetings from East Texas Treepers!
Update:
As of late, the Lord seems to be reminding me of at least two points of pride in my life.
1). Regarding my health and strength. My little “lung burner” cold turned into a whopper lasting almost two weeks. I was forced to eat heinous OTC cold and flu meds and sleep sleep sleep. This caused me to realize (again) how frail I am and how thankless I often am for my typical good health.
2). Regarding my brain power. I purchased a Zojirushi Home Bakery Virtuoso Plus Breadmaker. After struggling through the 39 pages of instruction, I realized I must be an idiot. The instructions are printed in English, but I’m unable to translate them into a “simple” loaf of bread.
My prayer life is expanding.
I’m trying to be humorous, but I’m also seriously serious!
💪🙏✝️💪
Hail, fine fellow!! It has lightened my heart to see that you are on the mend. And, boy!! Ain’t it the truth that ill health makes us appreciate the days when we are upright and functioning? If the instruction book for your bread maker is so complicated that smart you can’t get a loaf of bread out of it (yet…you’ll get there), can you imagine what our God written human instruction book would look like? It boggles the mind. Only our Creator could devise the design that we are!
Stay warm, dear friend…BetNM (not turbo-ing today😉)
🙌
🙋♀️
Kinda gives a new meaning to….give us this day our daily bread. 😆
At least the instructions aren’t like ikeas. 😉
Hang in there, you’ll master it ❤️
🙌
Blessed morning to you, neighbor in East Texas. Have you ever tried cowboy cures? has worked for me.
No. I’ll review n report back. Thanks much!
Lone star,
Thanks my friend. 🙂
IMO, Amusing delivery-of the chuck wagon days. Recipes and writings of how they survived illness until they got to town.
Bought the book and Ran out to get bourbon to make the hot toddy like they did way back then.
And I have you to thank for it😉
Hmm, a little shine would do, too. 🙂
You’re welcome. Watch all his videos. Cowboys are a dying breed. My grandpa and great-grandpa were cowboys at one time in their lives.
Crown Royal works just as well. (smile)
Good afternoon, LS. The other night my throat was a little scratchy and since I’m not drinking per wifey’s very strong request, I just had a table spoon of Texas honey. Worked immediately.
Hi Frank, a year ago I had to spend 5 days in the hospital and the whole month of January at home recovering from the Fau Xi flu. So glad that you are over it.
As far as the breadmaker goes if it’s not cooperating even after reading all the instructions I’d take it behind the house and put it out of it’s misery.
Just kidding! LOL!
Verse of the Day for Thursday, January 20, 2022
✟
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20 (KJV)
Amen 🙏
We are certainly more than two or three here. I don’t doubt His presence graces us all.🙏💓
BE MY VOICE
BABY LIVES MATTER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

O, oft and oft and oft,

Good Morning ☀️ Betsy! 🙋♀️
Your sharing today is beautiful (as always) ❤️
I will treasure it forever.
What a mess our admins must be dealing with. Perhaps we should award each of them a Purple Heart 💜 for their efforts 😊
Just waiting to say hi to grandpa, (I left him a message on Tuesday’s thread and haven’t caught up with him yet) then I’m laying low as our admins have their work cut out for them. I’m overflowing with gratitude for all they do. ❤️
See you soon. 😘
Salutations again (see above😉), Cat.
Not being a techy sort and yet having a pretty active imagination, just thinking about what they are facing makes me want ball up in a corner somewhere. Any corner would do. Reading every post? And dealing with the main issue at the same time?? Think how many hundreds of comments are incoming…a barrage, not one at a time.
My GOSH how I admire them all.
GrandpaM has this retirement thing down now. Good for him! He’ll show up later this morning I’m sure. So good to see Frank back and feeling better.
A phrase I picked up in Wales was so apt for him and other regulars who disappear now and again…what you don’t know, you make up. I do plenty of that I don’t mind telling you…and breathe a sigh of relief when they pop up again.
And applying that phrase, I keep my prayers up for Solomon, who advised he would be away for a while helping some friends of his in far away places. I assumed he meant he was travelling to unfriendly parts of this earth, parts which he mentioned. And as his health is nowhere near the best, I do worry for him. I am keeping my eyes open for his return, please God🙏.
Solomon St. Lighthouse posted an essay at American Thinker just the other day.
True. I read it. Short. Sweet. Good.
You don’t recall the title…or the subject? Or the date? Asking a lot I know, and although I visit AT daily, I must have skimmed the blog titles but didn’t link.
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/01/no_the_american_experiment_is_not_over.html
Solomon’ article. Says he was student of Solzhenitsyn
Oh THANK YOU, Lonestar🙏💓!! Bless you!
I knew he was a friend of Solzhenitsyn. He dropped that interesting and fascinating detail in an earlier post, but only in passing. No explanation was proferred I can only imagine how that came to be. What a tremendous position to find oneself in that he should know him, a man who defined the age of brutal, cruel despotism by his writings.
I’m writing this without having read the link, which I so appreciate your posting, LS. This isn’t the first he has written to AT. thank you again!
you’re welcome. (smile)
🤗💓
Did he?? How did I miss that? I’ll try to find it. Thank you, Lonestar.💓
Hmmmm…
❗️
Bet NM, my time has switched a bit around. Staying up later at night and sleeping a little late in the morning. Then I usually have some errands to run.
And I did get to read FC’s reply from Tuesday and responded up thread.
May your day be blessed and warm.
I got my fireplace going. 🙂
Evening, dear sir💓. Ours is going as well. All I can see is dollar signs passing by faster and faster. Times like this I really miss my warming and cozy Welsh coal fire…sob…
We’ve got tons of firewood from trimming the oak trees. Turn the propane on to get it going and then it’s just wood. And it smells so good.
Just received in the mail the second season of Chosen. Enjoyed the first episode before DW had to go and check on her sister for the night. Probably will watch episode #2 when she gets back. Really good stuff. Very well done.
God willing, we all will gather again here tomorrow.
Thank you, Betsy.
Niiiiiice
To Betsy, Lone star and Frank: big big hug for all the Solomon news and link to his essay on AT. 💕
He’s been on my mind as well as all here.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You all are the greatest! 😊
Beautiful, thank you, Betsy!
Morning, Treepers
Howdy, LS!
Father Seraphim and choir singing Psalm 51 in Aramaic in the old cathedral in Georgia. Aramaic was the language Jesus spoke. Father Seraphim is Assyrian.
Fr. Seraphim, when in his 20’s, was into martial arts and served in the security forces of the Ukrainian parliament. Curiously, most of the articles about him have been removed from the internet.
Blessings, all.
Good morning, LS. Not so curious really, all considered. A thankless task for them, as those who remorselessly and futilely endeavour to obliterate the Saviour. Thank you for your link.
Went to look. Wow this guy has survived a lot of narrow escapes

Truism: The worm always turns, but you never know when.
That is why we have “official” worm watchers.
The covid worm watchers are starting to report the turning of the ugly, horned covid worm.
I am told worms are good fishing bait.
So true …. and good bait they are……
You just have to watch out for those pesky “early birds.”
Because “the early bird gets the worm.”
And the people said…….
“We’re not gonna take it anymore!”
And the states said …….
“Don’t comply, nullify!”
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Amen 🙏
For a bit of levity today, I will try to describe the few moments in time when I was allowed to fly a helicopter. Well, maybe ‘fly’ is not the correct word. The experience had more in common with the concept of herding cats.
No, don’t worry – I was not allowed to take off or land it. We were several feet in the air in an open field and hovering. Hovering: the intent is to stay in one place and not move. What was that like, you might ask? Do you remember the childhood challenge of rubbing your tummy while patting your head? Do that while marching in place.
Both hands and both feet are busy trying to control that huge, noisy gyroscope that is spinning overhead. You don’t want the nose to come up or down. The blades can change pitch. The spin can be faster or slower. The tail wants to move with each rotor change. You prevent the turning movement with the rudders.
You think you should be able to just be still and nothing will move. Hah! Maybe newer technology with augumented controls makes it easy – but that helicopter was like the ones shown in the MASH tv program. The pilots are just so good they make it look easy.
Hark back to your first time on roller or ice skates. You hung on to whomever or whatever support there was so you didn’t end up on your back. Your feet just would NOT obey your commands.
I was reminded of a helicopter ‘ride’ many years earlier. When the pilot found out that we were also pilots his ‘tour’ took us to an open field. He found a rabbit and chased it. You can imagine the poor bunny trying to escape this big, loud predator. It went left, right, turned back, ran forward again, and ran like mad with each change. And the pilot kept up with his every move. To say we were awed is an understatement.
Maybe after hundreds of hours it does get easy. Givee you great respect for anyone (like rah, for instance) who is the master of his machine. Making it do what is necessary regardless of circumstances or weather.
I see many analogies in life. Politically there seem to be many moving parts. We pray for a skillful pilot keeping them all going in the right direcrtion. With God as the co-pilot, of course.
Great story. 🙌
Maybe those who play the organ would have a good aptitude for flying helicopters. And perhaps even higher aptitude for those who are ambidextrous?
you are likely correct. I have watched ‘organ players’ with the same awe and respect.
after patting tummy and rubbing head (while marching) they can probably switch to patting head and rubbing tummy without pause 🙂
I end up saying ‘how can they do that?’
Ms Idaho,
Laughed so hard thinking about how overwhelming it would be to experience this.
Thanks!
ahhhh
chuckles and laughter are the goals
glad I hit the target
since it is ‘cursday’….
We had this cute puppy. We were sitting on our back patio trying to decide on a name. We had put our Brandy glasses down on the cement and were tossing ideas back and forth.
Puppy comes by and begins to lick the Brandy!
You got it – that became her name 🙂
Awww 😊 ❤️
I know others know the answer to this but….how do you insert your own icon photo in place of the generic posting icon on this site?

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and his family as they seek to lead America back to You. Also, we pray for Angels to protect and support our Sundance as he works for justice and peace.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
