When land navigating I use a combination of a hand held GPS, Compass, Pace Beads and a 7-1/2 minute Topo Map which has a Mercator grid of 1000 meter squares. I set my GPS to the UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) settings. The pace count I use is in meters, on flat ground my pace is 126 steps = 100 meters.

UTM (Mercator) system of land navigation works great for me and I much prefer paper maps to electronic maps.

I did not know where the term Mercator originated from, thanks to the video you posted, I now do.

The fundamental problem with Student Loans was the majority of Majors the loans were used for were garbage.

People were getting 60k+ loans on Degrees that were basically paper, “Gender Studies, Women’s Studies, etc” And some went for Masters and PhDs adding onto THEIR debt.

And frankly Resident Biden was never going to cancel any Student Debt, it in his interest to dangle it over the desperate so they keep voting Democrats.

So how can cancelling student loan debt be FAIR? This would allow a subset (privileged) of our population to receive value that others do not receive. Where is the fairness, equality and equity in doing this. Hmmmm?

It’s complicated business:

1. Universities benefit from higher tuition (more cash on hand). They don’t care about qualified students, though at one time dropout rate was considered a negative, just quantity. Now, if a student has to drop, the college got their money.

2. Banks benefit from higher interest rates, which negatively correlate to tuition cost. The higher the cost, the higher the student payment, higher risk of default, so higher interest to match the risk. A bank used to really care about career choice, and the ability to repay, because the bank would take the loss….

Unless the bank had a way to offload the risks….

3. Banks benefit from the government insuring loans. When risk is covered by the federal gov in the FFEL, Direct Loans (post-2010) or Sallie Mae, the gov will assume a loan at risk. 92% of all education loans are backed this way.

Since 1972, when Sallie Mae (SMA Corp, a GSE partnership incorporated in DE) formed to service FFEL loans, the college landscape has completely changed. These loans, backed by the government, moved the risk from an individual to a bank to the federal balance sheet.

A bank can then loan larger amounts of money at lower rates. The buying power of a student goes up, so they can afford a higher tuition, so the colleges can now charge a higher tuition. It is all upward pressure to raise costs, and boy oh boy, have college costs gone up.

Long, long history of grifting in the student loan sector, particularly by the Bushies. Some made millions upon millions triaging opportunities they themselves created.

“Highly educated” does not equal good common sense.

I read last year already there would be many neurological issues with people because something in the jab allowed it to penetrate the barrier to the brain. Dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc. I also read there would be many deaths 2-3 years from the time of the jab. So when that happens, people won’t be thinking that is what death is from like they do now. I see that immediately upon the news report of a death, people justly ask ‘was he/she vaccinated.’

I think that it’s simply because these people “live by the sword.” To them, violence is a tool to be freely used against their own people: witness what happened throughout 2020 or after January 6th.

FYI – I am openly suspicious of those Australian “internment camps.” I think that there’s more to this than meets the eye.

In the Free States (FL, TX, much of the Midwest), civic life will now be relatively normal except for shortages that will hit (the urban areas more than the rural ones), and governors like DeSantis will take measures to do what they can to limit the economic suffering.

In the Border States (VA) the tyranny will be allowed come down hard in the captured local jurisdictions (Fairfax, Arlington). Fairfax will force its kids into wearing N95 masks 8 hours a day and getting clot shots, while the other 90 percent of Virginia counties will live free, except the governor may or may not take any strong action to limit the economic damage.

In Slave States (CA, WA, MA, NY, NJ), the state legislature and governor will impose harsh medical tyranny like Quebec, up to and including concentration camps.

This will look and feel like a descent into tyranny and madness, because for one thing, that’s what it will be in the Slave areas.

It is not, in the end, going to be the spread of tyranny, but its containment. It is more like a revelation of the soft tyranny that was already there, growing beneath the pretty surface, and now hardening all at once because this is its last shot at final triumph. The monsters are going to fully manifest and be visible.

In a country with a thousand borders between the Slave areas and the Free areas, how long will it take for all those little Soviet Unions to collapse? Can you build that many iron curtains?
