I USED to almost automatically “buy” the explanation for the many policy “screw ups” of our Gov., ” unintended consequences”.
Given recent history, I am now more of the view ;do not ascribe to ‘unintended consequences’ that which consistently points to evil intent.
Let us say you wanted to move 10’s of millions of people, from ONE area of earth, to another, putting aside for the moment your reason.
HOW would you DO that? People develop an AFFINITY, t where they grew up, and are generally loathe to leave their “homeland”.

Point being, Sundance has detailed (in his review of Benghazi) how ‘Operation zero footprint’ and the unnamed operation in Syria had the full support of the Congressional Republican leadership, and how it had the effect of funneling 100’s of tons of U.S. weopons to ISIS and Al Quada.
This led to the growth of Isis, and was occuring in the context of a US gov covert operation to instigate the ‘color revolutions’ in ME. resulting in destabilisation.
Result was motivating 10’s of millions of ‘refugees’ from ME/Africa to flood into Europe, where govt “humanitarian” policies led to an open door policy.

This arming of the Cartels resulted in greatly “ramping up” cartel activity (violence, instability).
As a consequence it motivated a large increase in illegal migration northward, to escape the violence, and (coincidentally??) U.S. gov policies welcoming these refugees, on ‘humanitarian’ grounds (Obama admin, unaccompanied minors).

My UI in Denver barely paid my utilities and bills. Some of us that “cheated” the system by working under the table had to to pay the mortgage and put food on the table. I’ve worked 35 years and never been on UI prior the the scamdemic. I was formerly in the tourism / hospitality business which was decimated by it. Do I feel bad? Hell No.

I went early this morning to add a few more emergency food items, and I was apparently late to the party. The shelves were so wiped out it about looked looted. Mind you, I’ve been monitoring these shelves over the past 90 days and they have been at minimum levels already. BTW, this store is Wally World. Food Lion got so bad with lack of stock, I quit them. This snow storm will exacerbate the already strained food distribution system, and add the Covid vax mandate for truckers BS and it will just keep backing up. Prepare accordingly! Adios.

Not much later, the story began to creep me out. Not because of some quirky aspect of the story…but due to our current pandemic. I was seeing Rand’s vision of authoritarian cronyism taking place right before my eyes. In the story, first published in 1957, crony bureaucrats assume control of businesses via some kind of vague government policy…and, guess what!…shortages of just about everything started happening. We now call these “supply chain” problems. The story mentioned black marketeers who snuck around under the radar in order to fill in some of the gaps.
I was disappointed. He did not mention the conclusion of the book – the lights went out in New York City.
When the thinkers and doers stop ‘doing’, those who exist from their efforts have no way to continue. Many here at the treehouse have predicted that the ‘elites’ cannot function without the ‘common folk’ to take care of them, drive them, provide food and protection. … you know what I mean.

The other thing I remember is a description of a tour of an auto manufacturer (memory?). In a room no one visits sits a motor that has been abandoned. No one knows how to make it work.

Local news reporting 5 Phoenix area hospitals requesting paramedics from FEMA. All in the central and more densely populated areas of the valley. To their credit, while making efforts to imply a surge of covid patients, they did mention staffing shortages reducing the numbercof available beds.
Other stressed hospitals are in Yuma and Sierra Vista – along the border with Mexico.
Went to Costco today during Tues/Thurs senior hours expecting picked over shelves and larger than normal crowds based on media reporting of shortages.
Normal number of customers. Shelves well stocked although a few odd items not available. No toilet cleaner ? Also, fewer mask wearers than last week. Maybe 30%. I think last week was an anomoly/higher than previous weeks.
Some school districts temporarily back to remote learning due to staff shortages.
By and large, Arizonans are pretty much done with the hype and living as normally as possible.

There are other consequences of these degenerate ideas. For example, unlike accepting payment from any other payer, a physician who accepts payment from this insurance company subjects themselves entirely to the commands of this payer, to wit: physicians are mandated to provide services against their will (abortion), physicians and their aides are mandated to be injected with substances – mandated to be treated as animals subjected to experiments.
These mandates come from a central planning authority which crushes the indiviual. It is worth noting that these ideas were promoted in the US by those who exalted the Soviet system and urged it’s adoption in the US.
