Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner is a fast-talking little man of notoriously intemperate disposition who will not allow any criticism of his totalitarian tendencies. Gunner has promised to be as brutal as needed to stop COVID spread in the region. He will accept no vocal dissent to his mandates from citizens in the state. All vaccine hesitant citizens are considered enemies of the state, and now subject to arrest if they voice any objection.
Today, Gunner announced that due to Omicron, he is taking the concept of lockdowns one step further. Effectively 1pm today, anyone who is not vaccinated is, by decree, designated as locked out of civil society in the region. Without notice, and effective almost immediately, the unvaccinated citizens in the Northern Territory are to remain confined in their homes and are not permitted to work.
At 1pm on Monday the lockout will be lifted; however, a mandatory vaccine passport process will be fully implemented in the territory, and the unvaccinated will continue to be locked out of all non-essential, businesses, operations and services in society. WATCH (prompted):

Anyone over the age of two in these camps will be fined for violations of masking rules, social distancing rules, and in general whatever we decide is unclean. Once leaving these camps, they will be required to wear ankle bracelets and have cel phone apps which track their positions and actions.
They will also be required to take education classes which explain in explicit detail how they harmed the citizenry for self-enrichment and to gain power.

Under the influence of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison had an epiphany that the National Government was turning into a tyrannical behemoth, and together they wrote the Kentucky and the Virginia Resolutions in 1800 that forcefully stated the States are the Creators of the National Government, and Sovereign in relation to it. As such, they had innate powers to check and nullify unconstitutional assertions of power by the National Government. This was before John Marshall’s self-serving concept of “Judicial Review” became popular.
These two resolutions embodied much of the political rationale for secession of the Southern States from the Union that triggered the American Civil War.

Just me again…I’m a bit shocked (but not surprised) at this clown’s actions.
These diktats apply to me – but the people that I worry about, some of our most vulnerable in Australia, limited to 50km radius from home – for people living more remote than I do, if they are unvaxxed they can’t even come into town for supplies.
When history is written, the racism that is on display here is so shocking. I’ve also received an email from my employer advising all of us not to travel to remote communities either for work or personally. An employer who is supposed to advocate & protect Aboriginal people. It is a shameful display.
