Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is proposing an interesting legislative approach to curb the White House illegal immigration process. In essence, what the Florida legislature will be enacting are laws that restrict any private company from doing business in Florida if they are participating in the federal programs to distribute illegal aliens.
If a federal contractor facilitates the transport, housing or subsidy of an illegal alien into Florida the state will block that contractor from any state level business relationship. “The legislation proposed today will make clear that the State of Florida will not provide any discretionary benefits to illegal aliens and will also prohibit state and local agencies from doing business with any private entities that facilitate the resettlement of illegal aliens in the state of Florida from the southern border. “
The outline is available [HERE], and the Florida Governor appeared on Fox News to discuss the legislation. WATCH:
.
…. Meanwhile, in New York state they are back to forcing everyone to wear a mask or face a $1,000 fine. The contrast in applied federalism is getting even more remarkable.
Why are not more “Republican” Governor’s following DeSantis’s excellent state platform?
One can only assume because they are one, some, or all of the following:
stupid
cowardly
corrupt
complicit
thwarted
untrustworthy
weak
All of the above, plus words I can not use in this forum.
I wish you were in my living room. We’d whoop it up.
Glad you’re p——d.
Because they are really Democrat Infiltrated Sappers.
This!
Oh you forgot…In on the cartel payroll.
Yeah don’t forget the cartels. They own a lot of our so called elected leaders.

That is allot of pollution & Green House Gas emitters! So how can nations accepting immigration invaders reduce those toxic (sarc) Green House Gases, reduce pollution & protect open spaces & wildlife, and let these invaders in? They CAN’T! The Environmental movement is a fraud!
You forgot controlled opposition
employment
WRONG, and by repeating these false narrative excuses, you are inadvertently aiding the enemy.
The line “Republicans, the party of stupid” was promulgated bya REPUBLICAN PARTY OPERATIVE.
These excuses you have listed, along with the whopper “Republicans fight by Marquis of Queensbury rules, while Dems streetfight”(anyone who ever tried to primary a Republican knows this isn’t so) are all part of a strategy to avoid or distract from an obvious truth; they are COMPLICIT.
So, while many of them ARE “stupid” and “greedy” that does NOT explain, or excuse their behavior, consistent over MANY years, of thru action and inaction, enabling the leftist takeover.
COMPLICIT.
Don’t forget – or else they are RINOs pretending to be conservative – like Ohio’s weasel governor.
Because we really do not have very many ACTUAL Republican Governors !
THIS!
Realizing that widespread election fraud preceded the 2020 zenith by a significant margin, it is entirely realistic to believe that outwardly weak, ineffective Republican governors who appear to avoid or obstruct clear solutions to problems caused by Leftwing policies and attitudes….never intended to solve those problems from the outset.
There is a consulting group, I think from Colorado that specializes in helping demonicrats win republican elections. They pose as conservatives but then their true stripes come into view after election. Things like this is the genesis of rinos.
Was the office right next door to Dom!n!on HQ??
There’s one running for governor right now in Illinois.
RINOs have been aroud for the 55 years I have been voting. The first year they were patently obvious was 1964, Goldwater vs Rockefeller.
We DON’T have MANY republicans anywhere…Who’s HAPPY with Romney’s niece, Rona as head of RNC? Who’s HAPPY with McConnell that just salvaged Pelosi and Schumer on the debt ceiling?? DIDN’T HAVE TO BUT HE DID. Who’s happy with McConnell that just DESTROYED a staffer and former employee of Bob Dole and DID NOT ALLOW HIM TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL????
Who’s happy with McCarthy that will salvage Liz Cheney, but NOT Marjorie Taylor Green???
We have NO republicans most states or DC that give one rip about we CONSERVATIVES….
You nailed it.
Graft and simple greed infected the Republican Party and corrupted the entire brand. The DemonRATs became so overtly anti-American traditional values, that corrupt men and women who aspired to power and wealth saw that, in our essentially two party system, disguising themselves as Republicans would provide an easy path to attaining that power and wealth.
We have been like cattle, guided by the invisible fence to avoid the radical Leftwing policies of the DemoCommunists, we turn to the Republicans. It’s been the perfect setup.
Occasionally a good well-intentioned candidate is elected and proves themselves until the Uniparty RINOs figure out how to marginalize them and defeat them. More often, IMHO, the corrupt GOP insiders prevent the good ones from ever getting past the primaries by fixing the elections in favor of corrupt incumbents.
We have to really get involved in local primaries and find the right candidate to support then spread the word to your fellow Town, County, and state citizens. Show the evidence that the incumbent has not lived up to their campaign hype, not keeping any of their promises, that the problems they implied would be fixed still exist and maybe have gotten worse. Make their record become a real obvious liability.
All politics are local. Primaries are much more impactful than general elections.
The RINOs turned the GOP into the GREEDY OLD PARTY.
Amen, BKR!
PS – Hope you are doing well.
I am.
Went many months with every comment on CTH blocked “awaiting review” only to be disappeared.
Seems like CTH adopted new technology that blocked many of us long-time contributors and donors … or was infiltrated by people who sustained it.
Kudos to Adrem for finally allowing a comment to get through.
I too am glad you are again able to comment. I always appreciated your perspectives.
Evidence persists:
The “notify me of responses to my comments” option continues to be NON-FUNCTIONAL.
[Note to Adrem if you’re monitoring]
You click the little grayed-out bell next to the Post Comment button (turning it green) before posting? Then don’t you get a confirmation email that has a link you click on to confirm? It has to be done for every post, not just once, I think. At least I confirm every post that I make.
Well put. We need America First MAGA candidates in these key positions of Gov, SoS, State legislatures, in order to effect the “extreme Federalism” and defang the Federal gov by reversing its 100 year long power grab.
Test questions which seperate the Rino from the A1’ers;
Election fraud in 2020.
Do they explocitly aknowledge it, and call for realistic reforms, or do they say “past is past, move on?”
Likewise, the J6 “Insurrection”; do they challenge the narrative, and call for Justice for those incarcerated?
Covid IS a “tricky” one; politically, to repeat what we here all know, regarding the hoax, is a “bridge to far” that would torpedo ANY campaign, due to the ignorancr of a vast majority of voters, who know who Fauci is, but have never heard of Malone.
But, as Desantis and Trump have done, they can focus on MANDATES, saying its personal choice, NO ONE should be mandated to wear a mask, or take the jab.
Seems to me, at least so far, these are 3 areas where the rubber meets the road, and Rinos “won’t go there”.
A forth would be embracing PDJT, uniquivoclly (sp?) rather than running away from him.
Bringing up Hunter, is also an example, as Rinos “don’t want to talk about it”.
If you look at KariLake, candidate for Gov in Az, and her public statements (“if you think the 2020 election was legit, you need to put down hunters crack pipe!”) she checks all the boxes, and is an example.
At an ASU protest of vax mandates, after the President of ASU threatened to have students arrested, she stated if elected governor, she would pardon them on day one.
As an Az resident I DO support her campaign, but I am using her here, as an EXAMPLE of what to look for.
I encourage all, regardless where you live, to LOOK at her, as an example of an America First, MAGA candidate, so you will have a reference, for comparison.
And, watch out for splitters, the RNC is going to flood the field.
Amen on the Splitters! Just more fraudulent impostors, trying to come across as genuine MAGA when they are anything BUT.
But how does a voter tell who the new candidate really is? By searching and seeking out past history on that candidate – past and present relationships, previous & present employment, social media statements and comments (if those postings haven’t been covertly deleted before the candidacy). Search incessantly, seek out all possible rabbit holes of information – you never know what might turn up. Get everyone you know in your area involved and also searching- there is power in numbers….
• Is the incumbent/candidate failed to consistently declare they’re America First?
• Have they held office for more than 10 years?
• Have they crossed the aisle in “bipartisanship” for Demo☭rat bills?
• Have they ever voted for Omnibus bills before passing Budgets and Appropriations?
• Have they ever voted an increase in the Debt Ceiling before an equal % cut in Federal Spending?
• Have they ever voted for bills with provisions the Supreme Court found Unconstitutional?
Excellent list of questions.
They’re all RINO and corrupt in NC.
Trump endorsed my Congressman, Ted Budd, in his Senatorial run. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn’t turn into a squish.
Who is happy with Governor Lee and his cohorts in Tennessee? We have a super majority in the legislature and they do not stop the Socialist tide. It is time for change.
Sarah Lee & you are correct. So that means it looks like all the other Republican run states are hostage to the Democrats, or they would be following DeSantis’s very successful trailblazing.
“This is about me, isn’t it?” — Doug Ducey, AZ, McCain Cabal Butt-Boy and Squish in Good Standing
Fortunately term limited.
KariLake will be a formidable, fearless A1 Governor for Az, and has my enthusiastic endorsement!
GOP donors make more money from illegal immigration.
DeSantis is smarter than most. In Florida this past year, we gained 7.2 billion in AGI of people moving here. We can even afford to rid Florida of OSHA, and DeSantis will be starting our own Florida Safety program. He’s put us first.
Your looking for courage in a room full of cowards.
Are they really cowards or are they just a bunch of back stabbing frauds who are doing exactly what they wanted to do all along?
This should be done in every state across the country! And it would be, if only we had governors (R or D) that actually cared about this issue. They show their true intentions by their lack of action, despite all the demagoguing they do on the campaign trail. DeSantis is really showing these other red state govs up for the frauds they are.
Exactly! Well stated. I learned all about the Trotskyite Neo-cons/RINO’s back in the 90’s when they sabotaged the huge Anti-NAFTA/WTO/Immigration Moratorium movement of the 1990’s.
GATT, NAFTA, WTO, IRCA, TEFRA, Law of the Sea, ad nauseum.
Most of which have become institutionalized rackets for exfiltrating Main Street wealth, and hamstrings its voters.
The 2020 election fraud, would not have been possible, without the aiding and abetting of Republican Governors and SoS’s.
Any Governor would be watching election nite coverage. When they saw on the news, that they were “stopping the counting” in THEIR State, why WOULDN’T they be screaming on their cell phone, AS they were driving to the counting center, to say “WTF do you THINK you are doing??!!”
NOT because they are “stupid” or “cowardly”; because they are COMPLICIT.
Ducey in Az, Kemp in Georgia(?) Raffesberger that scum, THESE Rinos are the enablers, that made the fraud possible.
The “Dems” could never have pulled it off, without Rino enabling.
What a great idea. Governor DeSantis is a “Can Do” guy. Hope he becomes President DeSantis.
Money. They don’t want to risk those federal highway funds, education funds ….
Re “Money. They don’t want to risk those federal highway funds, education funds.”
Those things, and many others, that are funded by the federal government (via taxes, borrowing, and printing currency) are often demanded by the states’ citizens.
Florida is blessed to have a lot of tourists whose money goes a long way toward paying for those things; which, means the state of Florida itself can provide many of the things most states depend on the federal government for.
So, unfortunately, MOST other states cannot follow Florida’s lead unless the citizens of those other states either do without certain things or pay higher state taxes in addition to the federal taxes already being paid..
Actually, the threat of “withholding federal funds” is mostly an empty threat, as I have commented on before.
ONLY if the original authorising legislation explicitly states conditions the State must meet, can the Federal govt with hold funds.
The Fed threatened states with withholding LE funds, if they “legalised” MJ, in direct controvention of Federal law. States did it anyway, no funds withheld.
PDJT threatened it, for “Sanctuary States”, but learned this truth.
So, for instance can’t withhold highway funds, because of MJ Laws, or Sanctuary status.
So much power the Fed has accrued, is because State governments and We, the people LET them.
The Fed has NO Constitutional authority to regulate DRUGS;NONE.
That is a STATE issue, as MJ laws demonstrate.
Recall governors threatening the licence of any Dr who Rx’d HCW or Ivermectin, or any pharmacy that filled?
A Governor, thru the State health Dept, could have issued an “emergency declaration” making these meds “OTC”, like they did in India, and it would have been totally LEGAL.
Not in favor of legalising mj, just pointing to it as a clear example of Federalism.
All true and well stated. However, as you said, the federal government does much that it “can’t do” by way of states’ and individuals’ tacit approval.
People MUST stand up for their rights and control of 1) education, 2) policing, and ELECTIONS.
If that means denying fed funds, the opiate of the states, so be it.
My mom was a SE schoolteacher. She said that education started going to hell when the states started getting fed money for education. After that, schools saw that as “free money”, and the focus was no longer serving the local people who paid the bills, but accepting more fed control for the money.
Finally someone here answers the question correctly instead of going on a bloviating rant (thank you!).
Frankly, blame the voters for why more Governors aren’t doing what Florida man is doing. Voters want those nice shiny projects that federal dollars help pay for, all the while forgetting about the strings attached to them. Independent voters in particular are finicky when it comes to things like this.
If I wasn’t born/raised in and a current resident of Florida, I would be protesting at my Red State Governors’s Mansion until enough folks found their guts to join me, DEMANDING results like Governor DeSantis. There ain’t room for all Citizens seeking Asylum here. MAKE AMERICA FLORIDA.
DeSantis 2024.
NOT another republican that can lead as he does.
Tx gov strong at times, but no match for DeSantis.
He’s young (stop electing 70+YO’s) and he’s energetic and unafraid to take on any person, group, media, press, etc. He doesn’t get rattled and he doesn’t fall into traps. He’s not afraid to be called names, labeled or titled…he meets those objections and fights head-on.
Respectfully, this represents part of the problem.
We have all, over many years taken our eye off the ball, by focusing far too much attention on the Federal offices of POTUS/VPOTUS and Congress, and not enough attention on State and Local offices.
LOOK at participation; only a small petcentage of voters ‘bother’ with primaries, or any election of local or State positions, that is not linked to Federal elections.
By this misfocus, WE have undermined Federalism, and weakened State governments, Governors and legislatures.
I think that is starting to change. At keast, I know it has changed locally in my area. I just pray it’s not too late.
“Centralized power is a cornerstone of Marxism”
Unfortunately this a very easy answer, 4 years of Donald Trump exposed the Republican party as a bunch of RINOS…98% of those on Capitol Hill are genuinely worthless, including most Governors.
There are 27 ‘Republican’ Governors…Ron DeSantis is the only one who is continually trying to protect and/or benefit the American citizens of Florida, by enacting laws, signing Bills or E.O.’s to help thwart the Communist agenda from the Fraud in the Oval Office.
Agree….98% is GENEROUS….MOST days, it is 100% worthless.
They ebb and flow to vote with Dems as needed. They choose the ‘clan’ that will vote this wk; another ‘clan’ that votes next wk, BUT, end of day, there are ALWAYS just enough republican votes to GIVE the dems their WIN and VICTORY, including demented Joe Biden with a 30% approval rating?????????????????? TELL ME WHY we are giving WINS to a person with a 30% approval rating???????????
Come 2022 and 2024; not so sure I will be running to a poll to pull a lever just because a R is there…HE/SHE BEST BE A VERY CONSERVATIVE (to MY standards). I’m talking Jesse Helms, Ronald Reagan CONSERVATIVE…..
I’m not voting for Rubio, for the 1st time is 55 years. I’ll stand aside.
Hence the current outrageous behavor. Got to put us down (as in dead) so we can never rise up again!
He also exposed “Fake News” & “the Swamp”. PDJT was a national treasure.
… because they’re Republicans… betrayal is their specialty.
Maybe because these governors are RepublicRATs?
The Republican Party has gone full rino. It is not going to pull itself off the mat, reform , and combat the democrats.
Ever.
Trying to vote out of this reality and problem is not working — if it did we would be seeing progress. But it’s going the opposite direction.
Desantis is a 1/10000. I think his best role now is Fl gov and leading discussions on a new way ahead and without the rotted corrupt republican carcass.
Exactly why Florida is flourishing, a governor who sets the standard. Other red states should follow Florida’s lead.
He has offered his template for what he has done in FL to all the republicuck governors but there were no takers. Amazing to me that there’s only one guy in the whole US that will fight back.
Gonna need bttom-up pressure from citizens in red states to push their govs to emulate DeSantis.
My state of WY does NOT have any resettlement contractor offices, so we take in ZERO refugees. Any illegals that come here, come of their own accord to work in the ag/stock industry, but they are not incentivized by resettlement contractors. Remove those govt paid businesses, and you remove much of the problem. Gov. Gordon stated that WY would not take in any refugees, and he needs to hold firm to that.
Since we know Al-CIa-Duh came out of the arming the Mujhadeen program in Afghanistan, how many terrorists just got airlifted into the US for future terror attacks against US?
Lots, Better yet, how many have been trained in small arms, and small group tactics.
I wonder if they are getting “Refresher” courses from US instructors right now, like when the communist MEK terrorists were illegally being trained in Nevada years ago?
We Trained UBL/OBL.
They changed his real spelling, because it came to close to the truth. USAma
Then have your governor look to how industry in his state reimburses the state for the expenses incurred by the state for them hiring illegal workers. Or he can just tweet about the problem.
The vast majority are not refugees.
Catholic charities is heavily involved with refugee and illegal immigrant resettlement (ie human trafficking.) Waking up is going to be very painful for many. Those we have trusted are the most guilty of evil.
See my recent post below on RESCINDING not-for-profit status for participation.
Been happening for decades including sponsoring criminals from foreign countries.
A deal was made (or blackmail) to spike the gay pedophile priest scandals.
The year around temperature of Wyoming is too cool for illegals; therefore our federal government does not want make illegals the slightest bit uncomfortable. Yes, I am being snarky but it is true.
Lutheran Services sent Somalians to Minnesota! Also to a north east state like New Hampshire or neighboring state.
Agricultural exploitation of Illegal Mexicans/Central Americans pseudo slave labor has entrenched Cartel into rural communities throughout Idaho, Wyoming and Montana since the ’80’s.
Refugees are just another big scam. IMO the US government is the biggest human / child trafficker in the world.
Buraq the great community activist has it down to a science. Just create some illegal programs for the sheep.
DACA: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals………………Totally illegal BS.
DAPA : Deferred Action for Parental Arrivals…………………Totally illegal BS.
On that first video, the screen shot used. That expression on the face of DeSantis as he stares down Brandon. Priceless. Any guess what DeSantis might be thinking at that moment? Borrowing that expression: let us know in the comments below. Gotta keep it family friendly, though.
“I like to kick your *ss right now”
“Jeez… you are more stupid in person than you seem on TV.”
DeSantis is right.
I cannot listen to that nuisance president. DeSantis really said that? LOL
If they were arm-wrestling, Brandon now has a broken elbow…
You gotta be sh!tt!ng me!
Once again, Thank You, Gov. DeSantis.
This could be a good vid to share w/ Dem Voters you know.
90% of the stuff he says here are things they fully agree with.
Most Repubs are just ridiculous at framing arguments pro and con on any given issue.
Fortunately, DeSantis does not have that problem.
Seize assets involved in such operations.
Aircraft ain’t cheap.
Seize all assets of any Illegal we find … as we deport them.
Free States vs. Slave States?
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.” — Mark Twain
If more governors, do as Florida is doing, with similar legislation. In effect, it neuters what the illegitimate administration is doing, by placing illegals in red states, for obvious reasons.
Chamber Of Commerce is the ringleader on the Illegal alien hustle.
TEXAS must follow suit:
It’s the Launch Pad for the Illegal Underground Railroad.
Without Texas, they’ve got to funnel through AZ, CA and NM.
AZ won’t want to become the primary conduit once Texas acts.
The NGO’s are the key.
Aggressive policies, laws, and taxes should be applied to the human trafficking NGO’s.
Make it unfavorable to operate in FL.
The state not doing business with them is lawful. ACLU would have a ball with increased taxes and targeting these organizations and businesses by the state. No grants funds or favors will work for now.
Cowering before the ACLU simply encourages them.
100%.
See proposed provisions below.
I hope the bill has a citizen reporting and whistleblower reward feature.
They should also implement a business license program that is free but mandatory. The business license would auto-renew monthly but be forfeited for reasons of covid or illegal aliens. The penalty is asset forfeiture (remember, asset forfeiture does not require a warrant, charges, or conviction. You just lose your whole business in 1 day).
Have you really thought this through?
That is a mighty slippery slope you are advocating.
No government entity should have the power to take your business or home without due process.
Harboring illegals could mean trafficking charges and confiscation.
See Bounties proposed below.
IF Texas, CA., AZ. and N.M. had Govs. like DeSantis, this country wouldn’t have an illegal immigrant problem.
Didn’t Jan Brewer Governor of Az call out the National Guard to protect its citizens from Obama’s Kalergi Plan?
Remember when Jan Brewer shook her finger in Obama’s face?
and then she welcomed him. it was a photo op for her.
Yep, pictures on the tarmac!
Don’t you mean “illegal alien problem” ?
God Bless Governor DeSantis.
I’m reminded of Abraham asking God to spare Sodom & Gomorrah if he could find but 5 righteous men………………….
There are no words to describe what the satanic forces have done to this great country, nor the cowards that continue to do nothing to stop them………
My red state Governor is a wuss compared to RDS.
RDS KNOWS HOW TO EFFECTIVELY GOVERN.
I wish DJT knew how to broker power the way RDS does.
“Well, RDS has a Republican legislature.”
In the recent past, Republicans controlled all 3 branches, but they unfortunately behaved as though Hillary’s popular vote total over Trump was all that mattered.
RDS! YOU THE MAN!!!
You have to had something to broker with,
“I wish DJT knew how to broker power the way RDS does.”
It starts with an America First Legislature.
2 Impeachments are all the evidence you need.
You are correct, but some of us can’t get over some of his personnel and policy decisions.
Are you saying that his personnel choices made no difference? Obama fired all the patriot generals but DJT couldn’t? Why promote Milley to CJCOS? Why choose Fauci? Wray? Barr? Haspel? I’m just asking you if none of these appointments mattered in light of a dysfunctional Congress in the age of imperial presidencies.
If I ask 10 people why he “had to” fire Gen Flynn, how many would give an answer? How many would say “He lied to Mike Pence”? The Flynn affair was on par with Sessions recusing himself, and both actions are what Republicans do while the other party just flips us the bird and laughs. I can only juxtapose all of this with the wholesale con job whenever we hear, “He was a man who reached across the aisle,” meaning the reacher is always a Republican who caves to the Democrats. They won’t say Manchin reached across the filthy swamp.
None of this is to say “Down with DJT.” We just saw some flaws. In war, flaws get people hurt or worse, and you lose.
All that and hindsight is 20\20.
Someone should have informed you that
• The UniParty Senate must confirm every Appointee.
• The Senate refused to consider Nominees that President Trump didn’t take from their “preapproved list”
• The Senate left HUNDREDS of Trump Nominees hanging until they withdrew or his presidency ended.
Sir, no problem understanding the part about Senate confirmation required.
The thing that I and evidently others have not understood is the part about *other* nominees or potential nominees, as well as their names, that Mr. Trump had in mind. So the answer is, “We will never know because the U.P. wouldn’t let Trump nominate anyone else.”
One Trump-supporting patriot who actually writes a public column said “Trump didn’t have a Rolodex,” which I assumed to mean, he didn’t have a very deep talent pool. So I am in good company when I ask these questions.
Based on the above, Flynn wouldn’t have been approved by the Uniparty either. I didn’t know his job position required Senate approval. Thanks for clearing that up.
The good news is that the Uniparty may not have approved the BATFE guy and the Soviet nominee for Currency Comptroller, so they withdrew. But bad news is they approved the tree spiking woman for BLM.
I can put it to rest; Checks and Balances in action and an outsider in the Oval Office got robbed
by professional thieves.
More people should read this blog.
Thanks for the exchange here.
In the recent past, Republicans controlled all 3 branches………..
No. In recent past the Republican wing of the democrat party controlled two branches.
Correction noted. I recognize the error in my argument. And what about presidential leverage over so-called Republicans?
They are owned by the same oligarchs.
Just a side comment about Skosen’s “45 Goals of the CPUSA”: change “capture one of the two political parties “ to “a majority in both.”
I’m confident that they will either flee or be hanged.
This is the modern showdown between federal power and states rights. When framing the constitution there were big arguments concerning the same things. States rights won out. Thus actually defining the limited role of federal powers over the states. States must abide by the constitution and must guard individual rights within their bounderies. The federal government ensures that states honor the rights of the people and provide for the common good, that is not privleges for the upper crust of society over the common man. Which, is what we have now.
Once the supreme court in the early 20th century concluded that cooperation had the same rights to lobby congress as the people, individual rights were seriously eroded. Its been a long road fighting for liberty with those who are of a federalist mind. This leads ultimately to a noble class and a lower, serf class. A serf class that exists only to cater to the lusts and desires of the nobles.
My heritage is one of Scotland fighting against this very thing. We ended up in America as slaves working to Repaying the debt owed to the “crown” for fighting against serfdom and all the evils that went with it. We are still in the fight.
Come on Abbott.
Lick your finger, stick it in the air, and realize the fair winds are blowing to Florida.
DeSantis is America’s governor. I’m proud of him!
Leadership Abbott…gitcha some.
I think the TX people and ethos are a good match for deSantis, yet in a twist of fate he’s Gov of FL which is much more of a mixed bag politically. A more wishy washy guy like Abbott would prob. do OK in FL.
As Gov. of TX, deSantis would also have the illegal issue to address in a substantial way since it’s literally a border invasion of your state.
If this was a war,General deSantis would be moved to a different theater where he could be used more effectively. We can say of deSantis what Lincoln said of Grant, “I can’t spare this man, he fights.”
of course, it is a war. And the sooner we accept that the better.
I believe he checks with G W Bush first before taking action! We all know how George and Jeb love themselves some illegal aliens! Right now Texas is being invaded by illegal aliens and ChiCom Joe is pleased with that!
I certainly hope that this lowers the boom on Catholic Charities, US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services and all the other NGOs raking in cash from this disgusting smuggling operation.
Yes when we win the war and meet to contemplate the new order we’ll impose, we musn’t forget to dismantle the liberal hierarchys that have captured organized religion.
Oh yes, and let’s don’t forget the Baptists. My dear 91 yr old aunt was just buying a toy yesterday to send to the children at the border.🤮 Her Baptist church is all-in on all of these types of things. I held my tongue, but wanted to discuss enabling…..😡
They’re ALL in on it.
Pass the hat, we’ve got illegal aliens to support.
This needs to be dragged out into the daylight. I know far to many so-called liberals who are convinced that the wave of illegals (undocumented, to them) is financed only through personal donations to charitable organizations, and that there is zero taxpayer money involved. This, to them, is clear evidence of their moral superiority because ‘they’ are willing to donate (most seldom do) and that all those evil conservatives are just being greedy……and, of course, racist.
“The contrast in applied federalism is getting even more remarkable.”
Why? Isn’t it precisely what we hope to see under “extreme federalism?”
Vive la difference! It might be the only way for us to keep the word “united” in our country’s name.
I hope NY has lockdowns, passports, abortion on demand, forced vaccinations, CRT, no police, no jails, etc. Let the marketplace decide if that’s how and where people want to live.
If our way of life in FL and other red states is superior, and blue states are worse, it will be demonstrated by the facts on the ground. I think that’s already becoming evident.
The Smollet attorney wanted jury nullification. I want red state nullification of federal mandates as deSantis is repeatedly doing.
Let their bloated wheezing elderly system headquartered in DC collapse of its own accord. We stay out of the way and create a parallel system at home. And yes, the “good” people in blue states will have to leave. You won’t be the first.
This is the leadership we need
God Bless Gov DeSantis
DeSantis is the only governor worth his salt. Abbott is all talk and no action.
Who blocked my comment? Is it you, LR or pre .
A proactive governor trying to protect the citizens of his state from federal overreach. The establishment oligarchs fear this type of leadership.
Somewhere in the midst of this, I remember them discussing the care of illegal alien children. I remember some years back SD clearly demonstrated how the care of these kids is a giant cash cow. Big buisnesses, huge salaries for adminstrators, huge payouts to these groups. Bravo, Ron, that isn’t going to continue in your state.
Sadly, this State’s economy would grind to a halt if every Illegal Immigrant were instantly teleported to their respective Country of Origin and out of the workforce. The Construction/Agriculture/Tourism alliance threw a p!ss-their-pants tantrum when the Governor tried to implement eVerify early in his Administration.
That’s what LEGAL immigration is supposed to address
While it is definitely great he is doing this, I’m sure part of it also is to protect himself from “liquidation”. Being as brash and brazen as be can be so any liquidation attempt is obvious.
Sure wish TN Gov Lee has some of this fortitude. He has no inclination to stop the illegals or refugees. TN has a super majority House and Senate of GOPe and they can’t pass anything of consequence either for illegals/refugees or covid. All are toothless wonders.
There’s the TN Star News network radio show which is a daily talk show and in 4 years Lee won’t even respond to a request to be on the show. But he always has time the lefty Tennessean rag. It really amazes me how many conservative outlets have the wool pulled over their eyes about Lee. He’s alot like Gov Noem of SD. Says the right thing but nothing to show for it.
What I want to know is, what is piglousy’s real motive in moving to Fl.?
Yep, I’ve wondered the same thing. She always has ulterior and EVIL motives. Perhaps RDS should allow one exception to his legislation: Deport all illegals that “magically appear” in Florida to her front yard.
Just think Florida could have had that outstanding Democommunist guy as governor. You know the one they found naked and stoned. Never mind that, he had thee qualification a truly qualified Democommunist needs, dark skin pigmentation.
Not stoned, Methed out with alcohol poisoning, butt naked with call boys.
FL laws will restrict any private company from doing business in Florida if they are participating in the federal programs to distribute illegal aliens.
As it should be. Applause. Applause. Standing applause.
The sooner other red states follow the better.
I cannot recall any governor in my lifetime who has shown such remarkable leadership as Ron DeSantis. He is making Florida a successful model for other red states to follow.
Ducey is nothing but a McCain stain tied in with deep, deep, deep corruption. We’re still in a state of EMERGENCY and he won’t give it up because he can direct the $$$ instead of our legislature. Bought and paid for by the same global elitist McCain passed on to him. Disgusting.
just curious.
will this include religions organizations and churches that operate under non for profit?
I cannot express how jealous I am of all my friends and family members who have moved to the Land of the Free, aka Florida.
I hope that Ron DeSantis remains governor for as long as he possibly can.
Does this mean that the churches that are involved in moving the illegals around the country will have to close, or at least be taxed on their business profits?
First thing that came to my mind was Catholic Charities…getting rich on bringing illegals into our county
and criminals!
Remember the days when we expected the federal GOP would take such common sense measures in defense of our people?
Ah, yes! Good times!
NOT!!!
God Speed Governor D.
Have we ever seen anyone propose so much helpful legislation? I mean I feel like daily DeSantis is working on something and unlike the clowns 🤡 in Washington his proposals are helpful!
Free America vs the Occupied Zone. Red Dawn was ahead of its time, including patriots on one side and traitors and collaborators on the other. And for those in the covid internment camps, “Avenge me!” And let’s not forget the J6 political prisoners.
FTA:
“The legislation proposed today will make clear that the State of Florida will not provide any discretionary benefits to illegal aliens*…”
MY QUESTION:
Does this mean that there are NON DISCRETIONARY benefits that WILL be paid to illegals?
DeSantis is a man of action which has earned my respect. Yes, the Fed Gov has a lot of authority in immigration but that is in regards to enforcement and restrictions. Current laws allow a president to zealously enforce laws and place more restrictions on the number of incoming immigrants but there is no law that allows a president to refuse to enforce immigration law and facilitate an illegal invasion.
We need to stop calling them “immigrants.
They are “illegal aliens” and Foreign National invaders.
Could add in that they are green house gas emitters & polluters to throw a wrench into the Green fake environmental movement
I hope every other Republican governor is paying attention because they no longer have any excuses for not fighting this government sponsored human trafficking operation.
PA/Pittsburgh is openly recruiting refugees..
Priceless photo faceoff DeSantis v illegal occupant (supporting illegals).
My bet is on DeS.
Another ingenious plan. JB is f*kd.
We need many more politicians now that are willing to actually DO something rather than just making fruitless gestures and saying the right things in order to continue their lifetime political careers. I am not a ‘politician’ or a legal expert or a charismatic leader (thank you Lord) but there are people, like Ron Desantis, who are and who know what moves and actions are possible and will actually have an impact. We need to support in every way possible people that are willing to oppose the Republican’t party ‘5C’ platform of “Cowardice, Compromise, Capitulation, Complicity, and self-Castration”.
States taking back their proper Federalist roles, duties and responsibilities from the out of control Federal ‘government’ that has been over reaching its Constitutional authority since the 1880’s is probably the only way we can salvage anything of the American ethos and certainly of our Constitutional Republic form of government.

We are so screwed in this country.
I know many will flame me for this. But there is just something about Desantis I don’t trust…I don’t think he is genuine I think he is an opportunist playing to the crowd. He never comes off as authentic to me. From what I’ve seen he has done nothing to really address the MAGA movement the steal or the Jan 6th protesters.
I feel he is another Mike Pence. In the sense he is a wolf in sheep clothing….
🤣
You are so very wrong.
Went to a concert this week in Texas, ~15k people, no masks, no vaccine passport checks. Beautiful.
We’ll probably all die in a few days.
Desantis and other “Red” state governments COULD go further, MUCH further, to address illegal immigration.
Federal law “preempts” State law, on immigration for good reason; we can’t have 50 States, each with their own immigration laws, and Immigration, because it involves relations with other nations and their citisens, IS an area rightfully under the purview, authority and responsibilitu of a FEDERAL govt.
Nonetheless, the Federal preemption for immigration enforcement, has an exception specifically enumerated IN the Federal immigration law;
It recognises that licensing of BUSINESSES within a State, is a wholly STATE function.
There is the basic business licence called a “Priviledge tax licence” in my State at least (grants businesses the “priviledge” of collecting taxes, and not paying taxes on purchases for business operations).
And, there are numerous other licences for specific sectors; Medical, from Hospitals, Dr’s, Nurses and technicians of various sorts, Lawyers, Contractors, etc.
Any State government COULD pass legislation stating that a requirement for retaining the Business licence, is maintaining up to date e-verify, on all employees OF the business, with stiff fines for non-compliance, and loss of licence for multiple offences, or submitting fraudulent documentation.
Politically, this would be a tremendous boost; 70-80 percent of voters, regardless of party, favor it.
70+ percent of hispanic americans support it.
It turns away from “the illegal as sympathetic victim” narrative the Uniparty has been pushing for years, and focuses on the PRIMARY driver of illegal immigration, which is the EMPLOYERS.
AND, there isn’t a damn thing the Federal govt. can DO, to stop it.
Great points, Dutchman.
Breitbart noted three big and rarely-reported provisions that Gov Desantis included:
4. Mandate county and local jails, as well as courts, to collect immigration status data at the time of a suspect’s arrest and conviction. The information would be reported to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
5. Ban Florida officials from providing any discretionary benefits to illegal aliens while [and mandate that] state agencies and hospitals will be required to annually report taxpayer-funded expenses for illegal aliens.
6. Add the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity as an enforcer of E-Verify
Please run for President or get a coalition together to leave the US
Thankfully, I bought 50 sq yds. of land in Florida and built a modest home of 150 sq ft. out of Lincoln logs before this all began- my investment has returned fairly well.
I just had it appraised at $450,000 with 2 offers, yesterday. The county inspector DID say I need to put some double-thick Saran-wrap over the roof for the rain, though, to be up to code before the signing.
Sounds like a solid investment! Wait till a dry spell hits after the record rain last year, with all the newbies and Natives pulling water out of the aquifer at once it will be Sinkhole-arama!
Some day the American people will learn that politics is more scripted than professional wrestling and politicians only exist to sell influence & collect donations.
Kudos once again to my state’s governor, Ron DeSantis! He leads the way, back to sanity and Constitutional law!
