I once talked to an elderly German woman who along with her husband and son left Germany in the mid 1930’s and came to America. She and her husband were not Jewish but were against the Nazi Party and its policies and when they saw further political resistance was futile decided to leave Germany. They began secretly liquidating their assets as much as possible then told their son who was in the Hitler youth (it was mandatory for all school age children by then) they were going to Stockholm for a vacation. When they got to Stockholm they told their son they were really going to America for good. They did not stop until they got to the US. Their son served in the US Army in the Pacific and her husband worked in the Defense industry being too old for military service.
It was an enlightening conversation. The parallels between the Nazi Party and the current “Woke” political movement and the Biden Administration are scary.

A fact of human nature is that we all justify things in our own minds. The level to which we justify anything reflects to what extent we are able to accept the truth, to face the reality not only about ourselves, but about all those and all things in the rest of the world. When the actual truth is so apparent that it cannot be denied or altered in any way, then blatant prevarication becomes the means for avoiding the truth for those who are still incapable of accepting it. Once you have taken a certain course, especially one that cannot be reversed, one’s own ego and pride will attempt to provide comfort and assurance that the right action was taken.
We are defined by our convictions, and apparently, some have weak ones. Pray for them. Pray for us all.

My very nice neighbor belongs to a church whose leader has encouraged them to take the vaccine to “protect the vulnerable”.

My in-laws caved to the madness months ago, and just got their boosters this week. Father in-law had the nerve to tell me that I don’t know what I was talking about with all the risks, and that I was subscribing to fake news for my information.
These are normally intelligent, and God fearing people…the TV news has brainwashed them to the point of no return.
My wife works at an adult care facility. A couple of weeks ago the resident all had their booster shots. Shortly afterwords covid hit the facility. So far there’s been 2 that have died, one in the hospital in bad shape, 23 more with active symptoms and the number is growing. None on the staff is sick, just the residents. As far as I know, the staff didn’t receive the booster.
My wife was vaccinated early on, she developed tinnitus shortly after getting the vaxxx. She’s learned more about the xaxxx and has seen first hand just how ineffective it is. My wife was always proud of her hearing and is very irritated at the constant ringing that’s now in her ears. She will not take the booster.
Did the residents have a choice?
I don’t know, I doubt that force was applied. I would imagine that it was offered and encouraged and part of the culture of the residents. They are all quite use to being exposed to a medical climate with frequent doctor visits for issues not related to covid. If they were not medically compromised and in need of greater care than what’s available at home, they would not be at this facility. They know that they are vulnerable and the information they receive is that the vaxxx will be a benefit. They want to see a tomorrow and so they take the vaxxx.
The ones that the staff has the most concern with are the residents that are in memory care. It’s very difficult to quarantine them.

My Mother 87 did not have a choice as a resident in Virginia. I’m in FL. She got COVID 19. Hospitalized recovered. Sent her back to Care was given the Shot twice made her sick again. Went on hospice then pulled through. Miracle thank you Lord. In a wheel chair now, alert and doesn’t remember the 3 month agony God Bless.

That’s interesting.. I never took the injections, but my husband had two ModeRNA shots. I may have had Covid in early 2020, but I still can’t locate a doc to prescribe the definitive T-cell test to confirm my suspicions.
I’ve had similar ear issues since 2020, mostly tinnitus, and one episode where the pressure was so intense I thought my head would explode, and I suffered significant hearing loss.

Years ago there was a candid camera type show, but it was more of an r-rated show.
The one time I watched it I was shocked to see how gullible people are.
The segment revolved around a group of people who were all applying for a job. 8 people were sitting together in a room waiting to be interviewed for that job, when the secretary came in and told everyone they needed to strip down to their underwear before being interviewed.
Seven of the eight people were actors who knew the story was a sham. One person was the guinea pig being tested to see what they’d do.

We had had 40 years of global warming panic and fear mongering and none of the predictions of floods, ozone destruction, arctic ice melting have materialized. Ivermectin and HCQ have long been approved for use in humans, to treat a variety of conditions, and FDA rules have long given Dr.’s the option of using APPROVED medications, for “off label” applications.
There is absolutely NO Justification for threatening Dr.’s licenses, for using Ivermectine or HCQ to treat Covid patients; NONE.
And, no need to resort to “Right to Try”, in order to do so.
This is almost the OPPOSITE of “Right to Try”.
But not approved for Covid. I would have thought the Right to Try would be applicable here on that basis alone. Off label application, which heretofore doctors were perfectly entitled to use. If that’s the only way for these tested and safe medications to be available for millions, then it has to be done.
A judge in Kansas, btw, has given the green light for the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, as recommended by any doctor so choosing to prescribe. His ruling has so far been unchallenged.

Exactly. Doctors are supposed to be freely allowed to prescribe anything that they think might help their patient, and pharmacies must fill the prescription, and hospitals cannot block this. But in this case they obviously wanted this patient to die, in order to ratify their assertion that the virus cannot be blocked except by experimental, patented, “emergency” treatments. I’m rather surprised that they did not “slip him a Mickey” to push him over the edge so that he “died of COVID” like he was supposed to.

Kidney failure, covid, O2 support MAX before intubation–NO intubation–on steroid, thinner, antibiotic, but no remdesivir (kidneys already gone).
I requested IVM; rejected: could cause harm. I said, you tell me he’s going to die. They said, IVM only make it faster.
I requested methylprednisolone instead of dexamethasone. Rejected. I requested max dose, relented, got maximum dose.
I requested maximum Vitamin C IV. Accepted, and tossed in Zinc to boot.
That night turned corner, next day rebounded and never looked back. Kidneys continually recovered. Physician staff talked to him as if he were a miracle octagenarian. Lungs 100% function at discharge.
He had been in 10 days prior to admittance and they tested him positive. NO ONE EVER SAID A WORD ABOUT MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES…until my discussion of hospice with attending physician on death’s door when he said that was the “other” protocol option available to him…had he not been near death already.

I came here a little over a week ago and asked everyone for help concerning a friend who was being treated like the patient in your story.
Ann and her husband both knew about and bought as much “real” medicine as they could before getting covid, but they could not get Ivermectin (or didn’t know how to), so they bought the horse version when it was still available.
They both got sick at the same time, but Ann went to the doctor who scared her into going to the hospital. Her husband stayed home.
Her husband took the horse version and got better quickly. At the hospital Ann was told she would be intubated and said “NO!” She was told she would be given Remdesivir and she said “NO!” She asked for Ivermectin and was told “NO!”
She was put on the covid ward and not allowed a single visitor, not even her husband. She asked to be released and was told she was too sick to go home, but she knew along with the rest of us that she would do much better at home.
When I wrote last week I said a group of us old grannies were going to break Ann out of the hospital. I submitted a request for help from Liberty Counsel. We started calling the hospital and putting pressure on them. They did not release Ann, but took her off the covid ward and put her on another floor where she could have visitors. Yeah!
During the time we were fighting for Ann we might have gathered human Ivermecin tablets*, and those along with the required vitamins might have been smuggled into the hospital* and might have been given to Ann*.
I might have felt like a dark drug dealer one night while picking up some of those pills*.
As of yesterday Ann was still in the hospital, and her doctors are quite proud of themselves for her somewhat speedy recovery after being moved off the covid ward.
We thank God Almighty for allowing everything to work as it did, because had Ann not had her wits about her when she first went into the butcher’s den, I fear we would have attended a funeral for a murder victim.
*In case “they” say I am admitting to another crime like walking on the grass in front of the people’s house early in January.

it is my understanding that a hospital may not hold you against your will (psych cases slightly different),
and that you may check yourself out anytime you choose.
they must treat you as any discharge, i.e. pull fluids, catheters, etc.
kicker is that insurance will not pay under those circumstances, so you will be liable for the bill.
however, the very threat is enough to make most hospitals sit up and behave themselves,
as they understand they will not be able to bill pad, up charge, and “mis-code” if it’s you going over the bill instead of an insurance co.
plus, they know that the likelihood of litigation increases as your displeasure with them increases.
much of this is addressed in advance directives – the trick is to get them on file, have them actually read the documents, and then follow the instructions.
it REALLY helps to have a hcpoa as well, someone geographically close and who doesn’t shrink from confrontation.
some hospitals will also “hold” you if you do not “have someone at home to care for you”.
arrange that in advance – person only has to SAY they will be your caregiver,
then just fill in their info on the discharge form. (had to do that for a neighbor who lived alone.)
having said all that, my only hospital stay to date (for surgery) ended exactly that way.
fed up, i simply discharged myself before they made me sicker.

When I worked in a hospital for 27 years a patient always had the “right” to leave whenever they chose to, they had to sign a document saying they were leaving “against medical advice” —but they were allowed to leave. Has there been some new protocols with this pandemic? I am shocked at these stories about the hospital care-I don’t recognize health care today.
I came down with COVID this summer. When I asked the clinic I went to for HCQ and Ivermectin they said they could not prescribe them and they told me it was dangerous to take HCQ. I told them that was nonsense I had taken it for 3 years will working overseas to prevent malaria with no problems. After doing some online research I found a doctor who would prescribe them in the area. After I got the prescriptions I took it to the drugstore to get it filled. The drug store stalled filling it and in the mean time my symptoms worsen and I was having pain in my lungs and trouble breathing. After I finally got the drugs and started taking them within hours I stopped having trouble breathing and the pain in my lungs went away. Within 5 days I was well. I had two out of town friends who came down with it and were treated in a hospital with the FDA approved treatment. Both died.
I am so sorry for the loss of your two friends. Hard to imagine that happening — I pray the Lord comforts you through this difficult and insane time.

I have a sister who is deaf. I stayed with her for an entire week when she had a hip replaced, and that was at Mayo in Rochester, Mn. She can read lips, I can hear, and after she’d been treated like a “retard” by many people most of her life because she is deaf, we didn’t let anything slide by.

I live in the southeast as a point of reference, Tennessee to be specific. Covid is a thing of the past here, life has returned to normal…no masks, crowded stadiums and venues, restaurants are as full as they can be based on their ability to find labor, churches are full again, kids have been maskless in school all year, and covid really isn’t even talked about anymore.
I had two yearly doctor appointments this week. The first appointment I was never even asked about the vaccine. At the second visit, with a doctor who operates in a large hospital system, two nurses and my doctor asked me if I had had the vaccine and when I simply replied no the comment from all three was that it is a personal choice and that was the end of the discussion.
I only share this because I agree with the midget from Texas, I read here and continue to hear stories from you in different parts of the country of the over the top covid fear that still exists. Be confident that there are many others like us that have moved on and are not going back. There are large swaths of the country that are just like mine. Ignore the media, talk to real people about real issues, and live your life.
It’s so interesting how different the Covid issue is in different places. In S.Florida Covid is everything. Everyone is masked in the supermarket. You even see masks outdoors. Liberals are really a different species of humans.
(Young people here comply but I don’t think they’re concerned or interested at all.)
Upscale areas south of Houston also see lots of people with masks, though gradually fewer.
These are heavily Democrat areas, with lots of blacks and foreigners.

My husband had spinal surgery a few weeks ago in Colorado Springs.
We really had no idea as to what we were going to face regarding covid, we live several hundred miles away in a small rural community and covid is not a big deal here.
When we went to check him in and all the questions started the only thing they asked was if he had been vaccinated for covid, then if he had a sore throat or a cough.
That was it, we were expecting a lot more emphasis on the covid somehow.
But the hospital staff seemed to be as sick and tired of covid as we all are and the only nod to covid was wearing one of those blue paper masks.
I also think that the news both liberal and conservative, is keeping viewers minds lazer focused on this phony pandemic and the best thing any one can do is to throw themselves back into living life.
I have stopped reading almost all covid stories or comments after news articles that I do read.

It’s because I am furious and angry inside because I tried and tried and tried to warn my family about the dangers of these vaccines and not a single person would listen. I’m frustrated beyond belief. They wrote me off as a crank and “Trump supporter.” Only my wife and I ,and one of my children, are unvaccinated out of my entire extended family. I do not personally know anyone else who is unvaccinated. I live in a world where people like those who comment here don’t exist. One of my own daughters succumbed to the peer pressure and desire to part of the crowd and got vaccinated in spite of having been specifically warned over and over by us not to be so trusting in the authorities. So I feel like I failed her, but am angry at her at the same time, yet hiding that anger at the same time. I took that frustration out on athletes that I don’t know personally. Also, my mother got the booster and within 3-4 weeks was in the hospital with a heart infection and yesterday was transferred to “hospice care.” Nobody will make any connections between the booster and her condition except me. Another reason why I’m angry. I thought I was containing it all. You are quite right about not falling for the divide and conquer routine.

I DETEST the vaccines, but was forced to take the vax in order to continue to work.

For a while, perhaps, as I watched my wife and many home-schooled children (who have NOT been vaxed, and God willing, never will be) get by on less and less until the money is all gone.
I made a calculated decision to assume the risk in order to minimize the impact to my family and to continue the work I enjoy for as long as I can, which I see as important. If I die, my family will be well taken care of by my life insurance.
Am I willing to take death jab boosters forever? Hell, no. This one bought me some time, at a price. The price I had to pay in order to continue to do the work I love and provide for my family was a judgement call that I had to make.
It’s not about me. I understand the danger. I know the risks. My job ALSO has risks, just as my Air Force career did. I had and continue to have my own personal reasons for accepting those risks.

In my little world I have said many times that if/when the time comes that someone in my home, my neighborhood, my group of friends must be jabbed in order for any of us to buy food or gas, that I would gladly be the one to get the poison injection.
We all have choices to make. By God’s good grace I pray no one else will have to make the decision you made.
If and when everyone who took the jab wakes up to the awful truth, it will be very important to have intact relationships where people throw arms around each other as they grieve, instead of throwing verbal sticks and stones like “I told you so.”
No one among the public knows the mid to long term consequences of these things. If there is a revelation at some point that, say, fifty percent will be dead in three years of congestive heart failure or dementia or some sort of horrific cancer, the same sort of courage that it took to hold out against the jab is going to be needed to provide hope and keep the threads of society from unraveling.
During the Great Plague, people did all sorts of weird stuff when they believed the world was ending and they would soon be dead.
In this atheistic, secular, celebrity driven culture that almost celebrates suicide in subtle ways, would such a revelation result in massive, almost viral, levels of suicides?
If that scenario comes to pass, we need to be the light in that darkness. We need to be bearers of hope. We need to say, hang in there, we will get through this together, we will provide aid, we will find cures.

I think what made me turn the corner from sheer anger to a modicum of compassion for the vaxxed, is that I realized I did what I could, but it is not my place to control other people’s actions.
Even God allows us free will, and He knows better than any of us what *should* be.
We can warn people to stop taking these dangerous injections, but then it is up to them if they will rise to all the challenges that standing up for your beliefs entails. We can’t do that work for them.

I think, at least for me, part of the issue is that loved ones have succumbed to the peer pressure and now we fear for their lives. Additionally, the more people who take it, the easier it becomes to convince others that it’s the right thing to do. Personally, I have 4 family member and 1 close friend who got jabbed. Two are now dead (heart attacks), 2 had mild strokes and were in rehab for a short period of time, and 1 had eyelid issues.
I agree with everything you wrote and know many people who have had a variety of adverse affects from the vaccines ranging from death to shingles and the other things you mentioned. Every single day I am worried sick about my loved ones yet can’t tell them.
My own daughter is sitting here in the room with me right now after flying in to visit her grandmother in the hospital and I can’t say a word to her about my fears for her.

Something I have noticed myself over the years, an awful loot of people who have a lot to say about Roe v. Wade are profoundly ignorant when it comes to what the court actually said.
Where Roe Is Going
Of course the oral arguments yesterday were basically all anyone wanted to talk about.
And while I generally not only avoid (intentionally) writing on abortion — on purpose — but also strongly frown upon it on my system in general this is an exception, simply because the USSC heard the case.
So here’s my perspective on it.
(Incidentally, if you haven’t read the original decision — the whole thing — don’t comment on this post. Go look up the decision and read it first, because if you don’t you’re risking a banhammer if you cannot square your point of view against the existing precedent and historical record contained therein, which is extraordinarily wide-ranging. Indeed, I doubt there is a USSC decision that comes anywhere near it in terms of historical and analytical context within the pages. Consider yourself fairly warned.)
Roe itself divided abortion about the same way medicine and human development divides it — into three portions.
In the first (trimester), abortion was ruled a matter of personal conscience — period.
In the second (trimester) abortion was ruled a divided case; arguments could be made either way, but the balance tilted toward choice.
In the third (trimester) this was no longer true and the balance tilted the other way.
The only absolute prohibition found in Roe was that all-circumstance bans on the procedure were per-se unconstitutional.
Of course people have tried to move those goalposts in both directions ever since — but the above is what the court actually held. Go read it for yourself; don’t take my word for it. You cannot hold an informed opinion on Roe without knowing what the decision actually says.

My own opinion is that Roe will be gone and the Dems will be helped by that in the midterms.
I think the “arc of history” (is that an Obamaism?) is moving towards greater decentralization. In the US that might mean a partition, or a greater return to states’ rights to avoid partition. As a practical matter, some states will have abortion and some won’t.
Overturning Roe will help get us to that place and events seem to be propelling us in that direction. I hope that’s where we get to.

This is the worst misreading of the quote that I have seen yet. Barret is stating that the “burden of parenthood” which is one of the justifications for abortion is NOT justified. For example a mother is allowed to drop her baby off at “safe boxes” at many fire stations and hospitals, there is repercussion or liability or need to identify her self. Adoption also remove the “burden of parenthood”. Barrett is making an important distinction which went over your head.
Be that as it may be, the Supreme Court was never supposed to be a lawmaking body. Seven men cooked up a tortured interpretation of about seven words in the 14th Amendment and – just like that – invented a new “law.” Congress and State Legislatures were all too happy to hide behind that because it meant that they didn’t have to have rancorous debates on a polarizing subject.
A wiser SCOTUS would rule that “the 14th Amendment doesn’t say.” It would require the Congress to enact legislation during its next session. It is not the place of the SCOTUS, nor any Court, to “utter” law by proclamation. Any “interpretations” that it may come up with should follow directly from the plain language – and there is no such language in the (already poorly-written …) 14th.
So, “kick the can” back over to the legislatures and compel them to do their job.

I have a different take on Roe vs Wade. I’m against abortion. Our rights in the Constitution are from God and apply equally to all. We fought a Civil War over that. Every American has the right to free speech, freedom of religion and the right to bear arms etc. But the right to abortion only applies to women and specifically pregnant women? So how can that be a “right” if it’s only for a select group? What if any of the Bill of Rights only applied to men or just to women? So the “right” to an abortion is in conflict with all the other rights in the Constitution! It does matter greatly where you live with respect to how the “system” will treat you if you get involved in it. A Dallas jury will decide differently than a jury in rural Texas. The Constitution defines a System of Government as well as relationship between that system government and citizens of the USA.

The entire case hinges on single major question that not a single politician has the courage to legislate. Is the unborn child a living human being and therefore a CITIZEN or not? If the answer is yes, then sanctioned murder has been and is being perpetrated no matter if States or the Federal Government condone or sanction abortion. That murder violates the criminal codes established by the US Congress and by the States, that sanctioned murder by extension is depriving a LIVING CITIZEN of basic rights that IS a matter per the US Constitution.
It all comes down to answering that single question.

There was a “Bloody Sunday” event in which Polish communist mobs killed German farmers and their families in September, 1939. My grandfther and his brother were beaten to death. My 12 year old mother not only witnessed this, she saved her mother and older sister from the same fate because she could speak Polish to the mob and they took a moment.
Hitler invaded “Poland” in order to save the 7 million Germans living there. Just saying. Czechslovakia was invaded next, but it also had been German territory before WWI. England then declared war on Germany. Too bad it all happened.

The Germans in the territory you speak of arrived in the late 1700s when the King of Prussia seized the area from Poland. At the same time the Prussian empire took the western area of Poland.
As I said, the land was owned and farmed and became the bread basket of Europe under German hands. It was indeed in my mother’s family for 200 years,since the King of Prussia settled it. The Polish citizens who decided to take back those farms in Bromberg area in 1939, murdered the Germans who had cultivated that land . No other way to say it. They did not have much right to it legally. Look up “Bloody Sunday.”
Our own country is only slightly older at 225 years. Quite a long time.
