29:15 – These are cheap repurposed drugs that have been proven. We’re not inventing this. This is not snake oil medicine. This is the highest level of scientific data. And I’m being prohibited from using these drugs.
-This is an issue about repurposed drugs against expensive, Big Pharma drugs. That’s what this is about.
-Big Pharma and their collaborators do not like the idea that cheap, repurposed drugs could be effective for any disease, never mind COVID.

30:00 – So we’ve been using repurposed drugs for many years. The FDA, prior to COVID, actually promoted the use of off-label drugs.
-And in fact, 40% of drugs used in the ICU are used off-label.
-And it’s perfectly legal. You don’t need informed consent. And it’s regarded as a standard of care.

30:25 – Suddenly, with COVID, the world is turned upside down and you now can’t use safe, repurposed drugs.

44:10 – Marik: I can’t get Calcifediol. It hasn’t been banned yet, but I’m sure if I started trying to order it they would ban it.

44:42 – What you say is true because it takes 2 weeks to activate Vitamin D. So for people for general prophylaxis regular Vitamin D is fine. But when you are acutely ill in the hospital ICU, you need to use the active forms of Vitamin D.

45:36 – So this is completely unprecedented.
-Up until COVID, doctors would do whatever they could; use whatever medications they could to save a patient’s life. That’s just what we did. There’s never a restriction on what you can do and such a prohibition doesn’t exist for any other disease that I know of.
– It’s completely bizarre. Somehow it seems that COVID has turned the world upside down and people have just lost their common sense.
-Because in …(?)… people are very sick and we do whatever we can to save their lives. And we’ve got pretty good at doing that.

46:23 – However, now they’ve decided that they should tell me how to treat a patient and how I shouldn’t manage a patient. It’s completely absurd.

48:49 – The basic problem with COVID is not the virus. It’s the cell in the lung called the macrophage which gets turned on and makes these inflammatory mediators.
-Now that’s why treatment early is important to calm down these macrophages.

-What happens with time as… We know exactly what happens is the disease progresses… so you have inflammation. So the inflammation may be just overwhelming and the patient just dies.
-But if that’s not controlled, what happens is you get fibrosis, which is lung damage.
-So what is really happening is if this inflammatory process is not controlled, it progresses to the point that you get lung scarring and lung damage.

49:14 – And once you get to that phase, it’s irreversible.
-So the tragedy is you these people who have lung failure alone, who’re stuck on ventilators, and they have no way of getting off the ventilator. And they stay on the ventilator until they die.
-It is a miserable and awful death.
-So that’s why one needs to treat them early to prevent this progressive lung injury.

50:09 – And we know exactly how the disease progresses.
-So you have the inflammatory phase;
-and as the inflammation progresses, you get more solid lung;
-and then you get damage to the lung with lung scarring.
-And once the lung is scarred, unfortunately there’s no turning back.

50:28 – So that’s why… You know when patients come to the ICU we want to treat them aggressively up front to prevent them progressing to this chronic, fibrotic, scarred lung state. Because once they’re there, unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done.

51:23 – So that’s why, you know, when people ask me… I say what you need to do is you need to do a CAT Scan.
-Because the CAT Scan is very useful in distinguishing ongoing inflammation from lung destruction.
– So even if 2 or 3 weeks, if you still see a lot of inflammation on the lung, then I do recommend cortical steroids and other methods(?) because it is still reversible.

51:50 – So it is a very important point that you make and I don’t think doctors understand this.
-It’s not a difficult concept you know.
-We know very easily on the CAT Scan. We can tell… Is this inflammation predominantly or is this damaged lung? That’s very important.

52:14 – I got an email from someone yesterday asking me that question.
-I said “You need to get a CAT Scan.” Because that is the best way of predicting what kind of treatment.

-You know, we get into the issue of personalized medicine.
-You know, every patient is different. I’ve never had two patients that are the same.
-So the idea of having a protocol that you apply to every single patient is bizarre. And is not the way we practice medicine.
-It has to be individualized according to each and every patient.

54:13 – So one of the problems with COVID is kidney failure.
-And there are a number of reasons why they develop kidney failure.
-A part of this may be an excess release of serotonin.
-So that’s why we advocate using anti-serotonin drug and indeed the hospital is questioning why I use a anti-steroid drug. Because we think it may play a role in renal failure.

In the middle of heated political battles in Washington, D.C., it can become easy to forget the real, human toll that America’s porous border takes on United States citizens. The family of Francisco Javier Cuellar, however, is unlikely to ever forget.

The 46-year-old Cuellar was killed in Jacksonville, Florida, last month, allegedly murdered by an illegal alien from Honduras.

The alleged assailant, 24-year-old Yery Noel Medina Ulloa, was released into the country several months ago after lying to border authorities about his age. Ulloa reportedly told border authorities that he was a 17-year-old named Reynel Alexander Hernandez. Ulloa was released into the country, and was given a notice to appear in court.

After entering the country illegally, Ulloa was taken in by Cuellar, and was given a job at the family business before allegedly murdering Cuellar. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Ulloa on Oct. 13, days after he was found covered in blood following the alleged murder. On the surface, Cuellar’s death seemed to have been entirely preventable.

People without masks acting like normal. No signs on doors about CDC recommendations, grocery clerks maskless.

I don’t care how many times they try to scare people with covid variants in the future…

It is in the air…you can feel it…

People are done with covid. Finished. Totally over it. Moved on and and aren’t coming back. No way, no how. And, if they try to bring it back…any of it (masks, talk of booster shots, school closings, lockdowns, etc) ….they will just make people angry.

So a retired police officer — and also evidently an Asian-American — is reportedly shot and killed over robbery of network news crew equipment (with a bystander also hit by ‘bullet shrapnel’). The story was published on the website of the network in question, with a reward offered by them reward offered “for information that leads to an arrest of the individual, or individuals involved in the shooting”. 

Notwithstanding the purported call for information, do you see a single word describing the “assailant” who reportedly “attempted to steal KRON4’s camera equipment”? Mind you, there was a full description of a car – – including the color – – in the article. 

Despite the likelihood that someone getting close enough to attempt to steal equipment would’ve been close enough to the reporter, camera operator, and potentially the bystander who was also hit, ask yourself why there wouldn’t be a single, solitary word describing the “assailant“. And then ask yourself if that goes to showing a priority of justice and preventing this from happening to someone else, or whether it is more evidence that PC priorities overrule everything else for many who style themselves as journalists and investigators (which also goes for politicized police departments who refused to share descriptions of suspects).

Imagine the consternation at the FBI- they didn’t expect Sundance to not only find their connection to the Waukesha killer, but write about, that fast.

Jeffrey Tucker has written a review of Dr. Scott Atlas’ new book. It’s a lengthy piece. Mr. Tucker seems thrilled to have the book, I am also thrilled by what Dr, Atlas has written.

There is so much there, Jeffrey says he will probably have more to say about it later.

One thing I was on the lookout for, and finally did see, was mention of the Deep State. Not having read the book itself, from the review alone it seems s if Dr. Atlas knows there is something funny going on, but doesn’t get what it is.

Here is where Mr. Tucker brings up the Deep State:

“It was also Atlas’s first full experience in dealing with deep-state machinations. It was this way throughout the lockdown period, a machinery in place to implement, encourage, and enforce endless restrictions but no one person in particular was there to take responsibility for the policies or the outcomes, even as the ostensible head of state (Trump) was on record both publicly and privately opposing the policies that no one could seem to stop. 

As an example of this, Atlas tells the story of bringing some massively important scientists to the White House to speak with Trump: Martin Kulldorff, Jay Bhattacharya, Joseph Ladapo, and Cody Meissner. People around the president thought the idea was great. But somehow the meeting kept being delayed. Again and again. When it finally went ahead, the schedulers only allowed for 5 minutes. But once they met with Trump himself, the president had other ideas and prolonged the meeting for an hour and a half, asking the scientists all kinds of questions about viruses, policy, the initial lockdowns, the risks to individuals, and so on. 

The president was so impressed with their views and knowledge – what a dramatic change that must have been for him – that he invited filming to be done plus pictures to be taken. He wanted to make it a big public splash. It never happened. Literally. White House press somehow got the message that this meeting never happened. The first anyone will have known about it other than White House employees is from Atlas’s book.”

What I was musing about yesterday, based on the revelation that Peter Navarro wanted to have Fauci fired but Mick Mulvaney was against the idea, was that forces in the White House close to the president set him up with the evil rotten Dr. Fauci deliberately, fits when you see what Dr. Atlas has written.

Mr. Navarro says that Mulvaney was afraid of a backlash. I’m not so sure that was it.

A draft of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ proposed bill expands the list of “forcible felonies” under Florida’s self-defense law to include criminal mischief causing “interruption or impairment” of a business, according to the Miami Herald, which obtained a copy through a records request.

It also specifically allows force against those looting, which the draft defines as burglary within 500 feet of a “violent or disorderly assembly.”

DeSantis also wants to make it a third-degree felony to block traffic during a protest — and offer immunity to drivers who accidentally kill or injure protesters who do so, according to the Herald.
