Perhaps there is a rule book somewhere that says you must not point out that all of the San Francisco looters who hit Nordstrom and Louis Vuitton are black.

I do have to say that being a convicted criminal is not easy. That is one point the left makes that i agree with. Once you have a criminal past, no matter what it is, it makes it very hard to move forward away from crime. I get why, but on the other hand, it has gotten to the point where it is almost impossible to get out of that life. Hard to get a job. Hard to even rent someplace to live.
I have a record (non-violent). Fortunately i am older and managed to make it out of the rut. But it WAS very hard. Lived in my car. Lied on employment applications. Just to get a job. I have been clean and on the right side of the law for many years now and probably because of what i put myself through, am very conservative now. but i can only imagine how hard it is now. If you have a record, try getting car insurance. Heck, if you have bad credit you will pay more.
Something most states require. Just about everything to be “normal” is a road block to someone with a criminal record.
I don’t know the answer to this dilema. On the one hand, corrupt politicians who craved votes, made the situation worse. I get so pissed off knowing the problems we have now have been perpetuated because of politicians (mostly creepy democrats) and the results are hurting real life people. Many people. Sometimes i think it won’t get better until something very drastic happens.

In 2001 I read a book ‘Bias’ by Bernie Goldberg, a big name reporter/analyst fired from CBS. Goldberg was, what today we call, “cancelled” by his own industry for daring to write the truth about media bias. The attack on him was led by Dan Rather.
In a WSJ editorial, Goldberg wrote of an incident in the CBS newsroom while covering looting in a Caribbean island during a bad hurricane. The team had the story ready to go on the air when an editor rejected it because all the looters in the footage were black. Goldberg pointed out that pretty much everyone on that particular island was black. It seems the censorship was a bridge too far for Goldberg who took to the WSJ to point out what he called “bias”.
The entre media machine surrounded and chewed him up. He later wrote ‘Bias’ in 2001 – a gross understatement.
If I remember correctly, Goldberg was told to refer to the Jamaicans as “African-Americans.”
