Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Thinking of “today”, thinking of “now”:
2 Cor. 6:2 (cf. Isaiah 49:8)
“For He says: “In the acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Isaiah 55:6-7
“Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”
Hebrews 3:15a (cf. Psalms 95:7-8)
“As it has been said: “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts…”
Revelation 22:17 (cf. Isaiah 55:1)
“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears say, “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come, and the one who desires the water of life drink freely.”
—
Thinking of why:
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 5:24
“Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.”
—
Thinking of how:
Luke 18:13
“And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’”
James 4:8a
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
John 6:28-29
“Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.””
Mark 9:24b
“‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.'”
Acts 16:30-31
“Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.””
—
Micah 6:8 — “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
John 13:34-35 — “A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love among one another.”
Mark 12:29-31 (cf. Deut. 6:4-5, Lev. 19:18) — “Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear this O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is not another commandment greater than these.”

In praise of the Triune God.
In memory of all the faithful who went before us.

I had a computer crash the other day which necessitated ugrading to a ne WIN 10 computer. Getting it to work the way I wanted to work has proved to be a bit difficult. This is the best I can do for now. Enjoy . . .
Sorry Treepers. Don’t know what happened with “We Will Rock You”. I’m still struggling to everything working right.
It “rocked” several of us a little when we missed you and your posts. Glad it was only a tech problem. ??
Yay, you’re back. You’ve been missed!
I’m sorty to hear of your computer “woes”. A new platform is always a puzzle and stress inducer.. but you WILL get it working precisely as you want… eventually. It’s just great to see you posting here.. hang in there.
Yes, and MicroS is really good at getting rid of any features you really liked or absolutely relied on. But if it doesn’t involve you protecting yourself from them, they will have dreamed up a New Way to do what you used to do. Maybe after you get used to it, you will like it better. Or Not. Either way, their dream will be your nightmare as you try to find out how to do what you want, and then have to struggle to convert or recreate all your old work.
Maybe not. When I do an “upgrade” I eventually just pretend that what I ended up with was what I wanted all along.
The ads I have been seeing for a new Windows 11 are terrifying. The upgrade push will begin soon. I figure I can hold off until after Donald Trump is inaugurated. Again.
I have already turned down 11 once. No reason to become their bug finder.
So happy to see you post again Garrison!
It is good to know that it was just a computer crash rather than a Garrison crash! ?
Glad you’re back jack…er…Garrison!
Where is Dutches01?
Garrison, every singer and musician knows what an “ear worm” is. A PLAGUE!!!! Many theories about how and why that happens. Mine are Queen, Evita, Phantom, Led Zepplin, Come on Eileen (my name is Eileen and when I here the first notes, I know I am in trouble!,) Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Mis…and more. I know when choosing to listen to them I am subjecting myself to days of “ear worms” and nights of hearing them in my dreams. I chose to go down your “ear worm hole.” Thank you!
Some good music but the guitarist/astrophysicist is nuts:

Glad you are ok.
I gave up on Windows in 2009 so I am of no help to you. Rotsa ruck. ?

James Taylor’s album “Fire and Rain” is certified Gold just as the single reaches #3 in the US. The lyrics of the song are highly personal to James, as he sang Suzanne the plans they made put an end to you about Suzanne Schnerr, a childhood friend who committed suicide, and Sweet dreams and Flying Machines in pieces on the ground, referring to his earlier band, Flying Machine, which had split before significant success.

Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was released as a single. It would stay on the chart for seventeen weeks, nine of them at number one and would eventually go Platinum. The song would be re-released in December, 1991 after being featured in the movie Wayne’s World and became a hit all over again.
I heard at one time that Bohemian Rhapsody almost did not get recorded. There was some disagreement about issuing a recording that could not be done live. Everything they did up until BR was reproducible on a live stage.

Ad Rem…would you please look in bin for my lengthy but informative post on the J6 prisoners letter? I wrote 2. First was posted. Second one is more detailed. It said it was waiting for approval…a first for me…
Please?
And if you could make sure that at some point Sundance sneaks a peek at it. Would be great.
I don’t know a lot about too many things…but after 20 plus years ? working at prison…think I may have some knowledge worth sharing regarding DC jail.

awwwww … bunnies more intelligent and social than I knew
Who knew that a bunny could make such a great family pet? However I noticed she didn’t mention potty training. Sure rabbit pellets would not be that difficult to clean up, but still…..
The pellets are easy. The #1 is my question.
A cousin of mine that I sent that to in a e-mail tells me that they can be trained pretty easily to use a litter box, so I guess it isn’t an issue.
I posted the shortened version of Rep. Donalds last week. Here is the whole segment of his time and it is well worth listening to. It is what those of us that have been paying attention to the Climate Change scam and it’s intended effects.

Truckers report: A week with some screw ups resulting in wasted effort and lots of wasted miles.
Sunday 11:00 got the call. Take an empty up to the Lear terminal in Romulus, MI and hook to a loaded trailer bound for the Lear terminal in Indianapolis.
Drove up and back through almost constant rain. Some of it heavy. The Super single drive tires on my tractor are well worn. Still legal but they don’t have a grip they once did so I have learned I am now hydroplaning on turns in conditions I once had no problem with. Worn super singles also cut down on ones speed. My truck is governed for 68 mph max speed but I am now only able to get about 66 1/2 mph out of it due to the lessened circumference of my drive tires. I will be asking for new tires before the winter weather gets serious.
Anyway , I arrived at the Romulus facility and the trailer I was to hook to was not there. During the nights they have a single person at the terminal. This night the guy with the duty happened to be a driver and so he and I went in and dug through all the packets trying to figure out what was going on. We found the one for the trailer I was to pull in the out box meaning it had already been picked up.
I called the terminal and told them what the situation was. They had me stand by as they made their phone calls to Ryder, which handles the logistics for Leer. After about 20 minutes they called me back and told me what I had already told them. The trailer had already been taken. There were not other loaded trailers ready to head south and so they had me re-hook to the empty I had brought up and take it back to the Anderson terminal. The better part of 500 miles driven for nothing!
03:00 Tuesday morning, bobtailed down to the drop yard in Shepherdsville, KY (Just south of Louisville). There I was to hook to trailer 512422H and take it down to the new Toyota facility at Madison, AL (near Huntsville).
At the drop yard we have a designated area where the trailers are to be parked since there are several other companies that also use that drop yard. There was no trailer 512422H in evidence but there was as trailer 512442H in there.
Now each load is part of a route and that route is numbered. When a driver drops a trailer at the drop yard he puts the paperwork in back and on the covers sheet in big letters is the route number. I looked in the back of trailer 512442H and there was paperwork with the same route number I was to pick up and so I naturally figured someone had screwed up the numbers. The paperwork is in an envelope stapled shut with a cover sheet having the route number stapled to it. On arrival at the plant the driver just hands the guard at the gate the whole packet and he/she opens it and scans the documents inside.
There was no way I was going to take that trailer without confirming it was the one I was to take. So the next step was to call dispatch in Anderson to confirm I should take the trailer. They punted and told me to call the dispatch at the Huntsville terminal since it was their load. Now the Huntsville terminal is new. It has recently been set up for handling the logistics for the new Toyota plant in Madison and the dispatchers are still being trained. Finally after waiting for half an hour they told me to bring 512442H down to the plant.
Upon arrival at the Gate at the plant the guard opened the packet and scanned the contents and told me that this load had been delivered last week! About that time the manager of the Huntsville terminal drove up and told me there had been a screw up. He described it as a “perfect storm” and the trailer I had brought down needed to go to a company in Frankfort, KY. He had me take the trailer to the company drop yard near the plant.
I was decided I should take the trailer to where it belonged and I got as far as the Love’s truck stop at Cave City, KY before I ran out of hours and had to park and take a 10 hour break. The next day I arrived at the facility in Frankfort. There they took empty racks off and put racks loaded with preformed carpet for Toyota vehicles in. I delivered that to the plant in Madison, AL and then went to the drop yard again and took another 10 hour break.
As soon as my 10 hour break was over I was sent a message to pick up a rack load bound for home, back at the Anderson, IN terminal. I went to the plant and hooked to the trailer and drove through the rain back to Anderson. I arrived there in heavy rain in darkness. I fueled the truck and parked it without doing my usual post trip inspection on the truck. I had already been told I was going to do a 3 stop milk run up Michigan that was usually done by a team. That load was to go out at 03:00 Friday.
At 10:00 Thursday the garage called. They said that my truck had been pulled to go through the wash bay and they found that the right rear wheel hub was leaking lube oil and they would get it in right away to fix it.
I went in 1 1/2 hours early because I suspected I might have to take a loaner truck and I would also have to fill out a bunch of Toyota check sheet forms for this run. Sure enough my truck was still in one of the garage bays. I went in to check it’s status. Turned out they had gone ahead and serviced it after the put a new seal on the wheel hub and when changing the big inlet air filter and had found that the connections on one of the plastic duct pieces of the inlet assembly was broken. They had ordered the part but wouldn’t come in from Indianapolis until later that day. However the 3rd shift garage manager went and looked at the problem and said they could fix me up just fine and get my truck back in operation in less than an hour with the old parts.
So while the put my truck back together I went to dispatch and got the forms I would have to fill out. Last week I had gone to Office Depot and bought stamps for these forms. I bought a generic date stamp. A generic 6 digit stamp for the trailer number. And a custom made stamp that has my signature above and my printed name below. All the stamps are self inking. The stamps cost me $87.00 but with us doing so many of these Toyota routes it is a sound investment and saves a lot of time and effort. The stamps work perfectly.
By the time I had my forms stamped the garage had me ready to go. First stop Grand Haven, MI. I had departed the terminal at exactly 03:00 as stipulated on the trip ticket but I arrived at the first stop 1 hour and 45 minutes before my appointment time. That was despite time lost in a detour because US 31 is closed up by Holland, MI. Again on this run I was driving in rain nearly the whole time.
So I sat in the door for over and hour before they had me ready to go. After all the stops, the last one being in Jackson, MI, I headed home. Due to them having me leave 1 1/2 hour earlier than was needed I did not have the hours to make it back to the terminal in Anderson. However, after talking to Josh at dispatch I learned that the driver that was to take the load down to the drop yard in Shepherdsville, KY was working out of a drop yard on the north side of Fort Wayne and I could go there and meet him. I arrived at the Total Fleet drop yard off US 30 on the north side of Fort Wayne with 12 minutes left of my 14 hour duty day. There the other driver hooked to the trailer I had brought and I hooked to an empty trailer that they did not need to bring back to Anderson.
I took my 10 hour break right there in the drop yard having no time left to go anywhere else. I was so tired I didn’t even set my alarm. I heated up a can of beef stew, ate and went right to sleep. I would take off for Anderson after I woke up on my own having all the sleep I needed.
I arrived back at Anderson at 07:30 Saturday morning and this time gave the truck an extensive post trip inspection and topped off the fuel and DEF and parked it. So it was a double overtime week with 4 days of full per diem. Looking back at my records I have averaged an OT day every week for the last 6 weeks.
My excellent cigar and Grand Mariner came after a meal of meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and peas. My first home cooked meal since my work week started. After my drink and smoke I hit the sack and got 9 straight hours of sleep and am once again feeling human. This morning after waking up on my own time, I found that my wonderful wife had baked homemade coffee cake from my Mom’s recipe and one can’t have coffee cake without coffee and she already had the machine set up so all I had to do was push the button and I had some strong Tim Hortons coffee to go with my cake.
I have been told I will not be needed until sometime Monday.
Great post. A couple things:
Is it possible your speed is/was affected by your air filter housing breakage problem?
Do you use paper or electronics to log your time?
Meatloaf? Really? Sounds ?
No! The problem of the air inlet leak did not seem to effect the the performance of the truck. The leak was before the filter, not after it. I have been running at about 66 1/2 mph max speed for months now. Super Singles have tread about 2″ deep when new. I am now down to tread less than 1/2″ deep.
I am on E-logs using the Samsara tablet system. The fleet has been on E-logs for over three years now. Originally we used the Com Data system and I was one of the very last drivers to reluctantly give up my paper logs. About a year ago we switched from the Com Data system to the Samsara system. Our fleet was the first to use the Samsara system and now that they have the bugs worked out I like it much better than the Com Data system.
Samsara Logging
What a week, rah! One “break” in the chain certainly has consequences all down the line. I suspect your wife is a real treasure. What a team you two make.
That she used your mother’s recipe says a lot, believe me. Bless her… and you.
Thank you. For over 38 years my Angle has Loved me and supported me in every thing I take on. I would be lost without her.
I know the feeling well. My husband’s and my paths crossed in a most unexpected and remarkable way, and I’m grateful every day, as you clearly are in your own good fortune.
That Love’s in Horse Cave, about 4 miles from Cave City just a few miles from Mammoth Cave. I live close. I wish I knew you were there. I would have treated you to whatever meal it was the right time for.
I spend several weeks a year volunteering at the Park since 2001. Great area and people
Thank you sir. I pass up and down that piece of I-65 pretty frequently but rarely have to take a break in that area. In fact if I had the time on my driving clock I would have passed that busy and crowed truck stop up and gone to the big rest area a few miles further north. Rest Areas are generally faster to get in and out of and quieter than truck stops and there is less likely hood of some steering wheel holder hitting your rig while your parked as they try to back into a space beside you.
Trucker Retires With No Accidents in 27 Years, Three Million Miles (breitbart.com)
This is excellent and if a significant amount of those miles were over the road it is stupendous! OTR is significantly more hazardous than running a dedicated route over and over again. I would bet this driver has been doing dedicated for most, if not all, of his career. This is not to belittle in any way the mans accomplishment. Just reality as this trucker see’s it.
Good for him.
DISCERNMENT OF FAITH
“Faith as a grain of mustard seed…” Matthew xvii. 20
We have the idea that God rewards us for our faith, it may be so in the initial stages; but we do not earn anything by faith, faith brings us into right relationship with God and gives God His opportunity. God has frequently to knock the bottom board out of your experience if you are a saint in order to get you into contact with Himself. God wants you to understand that it is a life of FAITH, not a life of sentimental enjoyment of His blessings. Your earlier life of faith was narrow and intense, settled around a little sun-spot of experience that had as much of sense as of faith in it, full of light and sweetness; then God withdrew His conscious blessing in order to teach you to walk by faith. You are worth far more to Him now than you were in your days of conscious delight and thrilling testimony.
Faith by its very nature must be tried, and the real trial of faith is not that we find it difficult to trust God, but that God’s character has to be cleared in our own minds. Faith in its actual working out has to go through spells of unsyllabled isolation. Never confound the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life, much that we call the trial of faith is the inevitable result of being alive. Faith in the Bible is faith in God against everything that contradicts Him – I will remain true to God’s character whatever He may do. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” – this is the most sublime utterance of faith in the whole of the Bible.

God Bless America, 🙂
Another short and excellent video from Tony Heller. I disagree with him on one point. IMO It is not madness though. It is a coordinated preplanned scheme to subjugate the global population. A large portion of the worlds wealthiest are trying to establish a global Oligarchy making peasants and Serfs of us all. Government and the disruption of commerce, the Climate Change scam, CRT, the disruption of essential services and transportation, and defund the police, are among the weapons they are using to achieve that goal.
“Hands Up Don’t Sh…”??
Things still set for the first half of the winter to be colder and wilder than average. Lower than normal temps for the majority of the nation with the exception of the SW US over into Texas. Higher than normal precip for a swath starting in MO and sweeping up through the Great Lakes and on to the east.
Hurricane season looks to be over this year though stranger things have happened than a hurricane in November.
Global Accumulated Cyclone energy is at 90% of the average YTD.
Northern Hemisphere ACE is at 89% of average.
So though it was a higher impact season for the US it appears that over all tropical storm activity will be lower than average for this year. Something I doubt you will hear in the news or will be brought up at COP26 that is kicking off in Glasgow. BTW, each one of those jets put out more CO2 getting to Glasgow than the average Scot citizen produces in a year!
