Raw material foodstuff price contracts are expiring, and the new purchasing prices will be significantly higher than current. As these contracts refresh, the new higher prices immediately enter the food supply chain. CTH has been warning readers to stock up on non-perishable items as this next wave of food price increases is going to be much bigger than even the prior 8%/avg jumps; and there is absolutely no end in sight.
Also, as more large municipal regions (megalopolis metropolitan areas like New York City and Los Angeles) begin enforcing a vaccine passport to eat in restaurants, the demand for meals at home will remain high. Supermarkets again will fill the void in the diet of consumers who choose to remain at home instead of eating out.
The current demand on retail food products is likely visible to you in the form of bare shelves and minimal inventory.
Grocery retailers operate on paper thin gross profit margins and rely on fast turns of multiple penny profit items to add up to net profit income. Technology has helped modern grocery supply chains to be very thin.
An inventory shortage arises when demand on the retail grocery industry spikes – which is what we have seen with COVID impacts as alternative food options were forcibly closed or pressured to reduced capacity.
Conagra is one of the large food conglomerates with control over products from field to fork. Recently, Conagra executives announced they expect food prices to climb even higher due to all of the aforementioned impacts, along with large price increases in fuel and energy.
Wall Street Journal […] Conagra said Thursday it expects gross inflation—which doesn’t take into account hedging—to be about 11% for fiscal 2022, versus its earlier estimate of 9%. The company plans to continue adjusting prices and cutting costs, and said its prices likely will rise 4% or more during the current fiscal year.
Executives said they expect ongoing strong demand, price increases and cost-cutting measures to offset the higher costs. So far shoppers are largely sticking with Conagra’s brands despite higher costs, they said, though the bulk of the company’s price increases have only recently begun to show up on U.S. supermarket shelves. [Note – Fiscal year 2022 began October 1, 2021.] Wheat, corn and soybeans are the foundation of the U.S. food supply. They are primarily used as ingredients in processed foods, oils, and are fed to the cattle, hogs, and poultry that supply meat and eggs for the American diet. When those grain harvests go up in price, the downstream increase in price is far reaching.
Processed foods and shelf stable foods have a deeper inventory than fresh foods. The turns on that shelf-stable inventory take longer, and as a consequence, it takes longer for the price increases to show up. As contracts renew and new inventory flows into the supply chain, the total supply chain price increases -including fuel and transportation costs- are going to hit hard. They are going to hit even harder than the last few months as the new processed inventory carries a higher cost.
Keep in mind, skyrocketing prices at the grocery store are predictable based almost entirely on Joe Biden’s pro-Wall Street and Multinational Corporation policies. Main Street is getting hammered, and the working class is suffering as a direct result. The administrations’ specific accountability for these outcomes is why the Biden team is trying to distract and blame COVID-19 for supply chain issues. However, it is not COVID driving the prices, it’s Joe Biden’s policies that benefit multinationals. {Go Deep}
Prior to COVID-19, China and the EU were devaluing their currency; the value of the dollar increased. This was great for products we import (durable goods, TV’s, electronics, etc) however, the high dollar value made exports from the U.S. more expensive.
U.S. companies who relied on exports (lots of agricultural industries and raw materials) took a hit from higher export prices. Less raw material including food was being purchased by overseas manufacturing groups. However, and this part is really interesting, their lack of purchasing made U.S. companies more dependent on domestic sales for income. With less raw material foodstuff being exported, there was more product available in the U.S for domestic purchase…. this dynamic led to a predictable outcome for those with common sense, lower food prices for U.S. consumers.
That was under President Trump policy. However, Joe Biden flipped this dynamic and dropped the value of the dollar with massive -far more than needed- stimulus and bailout spending. The monetary policy that pumps money into into the U.S. economy via COVID bailouts and ever-increasing federal spending drops the value of the dollar and makes the dependency state worse.
With a Democrat Congress and progressive FED pumping money into the U.S. system and expanding the deficit, the dollar value plummets. Now the value of the Chinese and EU currency increases. This means it costs more to import products, and that is the primary driver of price increases in durable consumer goods.
Simultaneously, a lower dollar value means cheaper exports for the multinationals (Big AG and raw materials). China, SE Asia and even the EU purchase U.S. raw materials at a lower price with their higher valued currencies.
All of those exported food sales -controlled by multinational corporations- mean less raw material in the U.S. which drives up prices for U.S. consumers. It is a perfect storm. Higher costs for imported goods and much higher costs for domestic goods (food). Combine this dynamic with massive increases in energy costs from ideological climate policy, and that’s fuel on the fire of inflation.
The retail consumer supply chain for manufactured and processed food products includes bulk storage to compensate for seasonality. There are over 800 commercial and public warehouses in the continental 48 states that store frozen products (2020 data). The previously processed food price increases are currently reflected on store shelves (already hurting). However, the coming processed processed food price increases will be much, much higher. We will see even higher prices on processed foods in the supermarket.
This is terrible for wage earners in the U.S. who are now seeing no wage growth and higher prices. Real wages are decreasing by the fastest rate in decades. We are now in a downward spiral where your paycheck buys less. As a result, consumer middle-class spending contracts. Eventually, this means housing prices drop because people cannot afford higher mortgage payments.
Gasoline costs more (+50%), food costs more (+10% at a minimum) and as a result, real wages drop; disposable income is lost. Ultimately this is the cause of Stagflation. A stagnant economy and inflation. None of this is caused by COVID-19. All of this is caused by economic policy and monetary policy sold under the guise of COVID-19.
This inflationary period will not stall out until the U.S. economy can recover from the massive amount of federal spending. If the spending continues, the dollar continues to be weak, as a result the inflationary period continues. It is a spiral that can only be stopped if the policies are reversed…. and the only way to stop these insane policies is to get rid of the Wall Street Democrats and Republicans who are constructing them.
Hey Biden voters- hows that build back better working out for you?
I got my 16 cents! /s
LOL!
I can’t wait for the yearly cost of Thanksgiving meal presentation.
My guess is a hen will be substituted for the turkey so the administration can tell us the cost dropped from last year.
Also the boiled ham for the holiday season will be replaced with Spam, for a savings of 16¢.

Ouch….SPAM is my secret guilty pleasure. They used to have an event in Austin each year called Spam-a-rama.
Unique Spam cookoff, music and Austin-cool hippies, yuppies and Bubbas, all intermixing and having fun.
Hilarious!
When we went on hunting, fishing, and camping trips growing up, we took Spam.
I always treasured it as a luxury since it never showed up on our shelves at home.
I still like it!
SCRAPPLE RULES….SPAM DROOLS…..but it’s still an edible source in my survivor pack.
Plus it doesn’t need to be heated….at least that what they told me at the stowa/S
I live out in a Florida County that still has a CUSTOM meat store and he sources EVERYTHING LOCALLY!!! I am stocking up on Chicken (wifey) and beef/pork…I just bought into a situation that one pays for the feed and the meat handling one can get a 1/2 side of beef….better than the store bought…
IF one can do that, the prices MIGHT be cheaper than the store…so far, they are…bought into it a couple of weeks ago due to Sundance’s screed on the cost of inflation and the pressure that is being applied to the dollar…
This is how to build a parallel society! Great suggestion.
Here in Wisco, we have a lot of local farmers who sell their beef by the quarter, half or whole. I just bought a half for $3.19/lb hanging weight and the farmer paid the processing and wrapping fees in that price. So it cost $1480 for just under 300 pounds of meat. that computes to average of $5.10/lb across the board for roasts, steaks, and burger (about 120# was burger I figured)….the stores around here have steaks for $12/# and up, roasts are $5 (on sale) to $8/lb and burger is $5/lb for ground round (which this burger is) to minimum of $4/lb. So all in all, a good deal for me and the farmer got about $3000 for his beef without too much hassle 🙂
NIce! You better make sure you have adequate means of protection that investment come “power down” time.
Solid CO2 aka dry ice is a nice supplement to add to your survival pack.
So basically a CSA for beef.
We’ve got some meat stores here in the Big Bend. They process deer. Heh.
From what I’m hearing, you’ll be lucky to find a turkey, at least an affordable one.
I’m waiting until Presidunce does the annual turkey pardon. Think of the speech… The turkeys are liable to turn around and pardon him.
“Here we have Turkey and Lurkey who I now pardon but HEY what are we going to have for Thanksgiving dinner if we do that??? *Aide/manny distracts presidunce with binky and leads him away*
I want my Binky back! ;-(
Jo Xiden “The Resident” can’t pardon anything cuz he’s not really a legit President.
Put a couple Cornish Hens in front of him and call it a day.
And it’ll be from Aldi because better deals.
Biden voters love these times. They’re all still on the $$ from the man himself. Uncle joe.
What good is money when you can’t buy anything
They will always have sources we cannot access.
He is still working on the raze it to the ground part.
They can’t hear you or respond, they’re phantoms and don’t actually exist.
Exactly, the true number of Biden voters was likely less than the combined number of Fraudulent Biden votes and deleted Trump votes
It’s working very well for those FBI Agents who will be storming your house in the middle of the night.
They all have to get the vax or lose their job and buy groceries and gas at inflated prices just like the rest of us. Just because they get to throw their weight around with us doesn’t exempt them from the same crummy treatment we’re all getting.
But they’ll leave in a hurst
It’s all Trump’s fault!
It all Trumps fault. If you don’t believe it ask them. One SIL will Never accept the truth.
I doubt there are very few slojo fans here.
What I would like to know is this…how many people have been fired because they wouldn’t submit to the unethical EUA (still) jabs voted for Biden. How many people trying to live on less and less, and less in the future voted for Biden.
I realize we’ll never know but I guarantee plenty who did and are now suffering the deliberate increasing economic hardships probably say to themselves where no one can hear them “I wish Trump were back.”
Bought s new house in late july, baby #7 by halloween.
Expecting to be fired over jab by new year, possibly as soon as thanksgiving. Rumor is with no severance package.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Reporters wont touch that with a 10 foot pole., how many millions unemployed without compassion, indeed with vindictiveness right before the holidays…
I do not want to sound unsympathetic but you have written this a multitude of times on different threads. Everybody makes choices and above were your peoples choices. Now get proactive and tell us what you are going to do.
The answer to your question is Zero.
Anyone stupid enough to vote for Joebama was first in line for the vax. Now they can’t wait for booster and injections of baby parts for their own children
Most Biden voters do not pay for their own groceries so they have no clue.
They just got a 25% increase in food stamps.
It doesn’t affect them because they are either on welfare, dead, government workers, or wealthy.
At work material shortages may cause us to lay off.
Very serious times.

drove by the Chevrolet dealer in town – it’s a small town but it has three big car dealerships. They had very little inventory. Their lot was maybe 1/4 stocked.
Ford Plant in Oakville Ontario is packed with Edges that are all assembled but waiting on chips. Ford has tried to keep the lines running.
All free chips are being sent to Michigan truck plant to keep the F-150 in production.
I don’t have any sympathy for Ford. I’ve always been a Ford man, but the gay Ranger pickup design was the last straw. I’ll buy a Dodge before GM or Ford. Both have gone full on woke.
Spit.
DD
Ford donated $100 million to BLM as they were burning down Atlanta and Minneapolis!
To bad. Dodge is ? on a ?
Yup. Just another chinese rickshaw ?
A good friend leased the new Ranger last month.
Get this, he keeps it six months the dealer takes it back and ships it South to the States immediately as a used unit.
My mate will be credited back his six months of payments, and will repeat the process again.
A relative at a local major car dealership here in Greater Vancouver in September had their best month in the four years he has been the GM.
The dealership is an import.
Same in Ohio.
A few weeks ago I drove by a Chevrolet dealer in Chandler, AZ. I’m not sure they were actually even open, I didn’t see anyone inside and there were no new cars in view. Most dealers I see here have a dozen or so new vehicles. One dealer told me that they have about 10% of normal inventory when I was looking for a new car.
I went to one dealer to test drive a car they had in the showroom. Unfortunately, they didn’t have anyone that day that could move the car out of the showroom so they apologized and said to try again in a few days, maybe someone could help then.
Audi dealer in Scottsdale AZ had less than 5 new vehicles available last week.
Service Dept was way understaffed, extremely busy, but having a terrible time getting needed parts.
Husband ordered parts for a classic vehicle he’s repairing – back ordered, no estimated delivery date.
Just like washer/dryers, refrigerators etc. Pay up front…then wait…and wait.
Yep, I ordered a gas Whirlpool stove, nothing special, made in USA. It took six months from order to delivery, from Lowes.
We had to replace a fridge earlier this year. Just a plain black double door with icemaker and water. Nothing fancy. We went to Lowe’s and none were available…anywhere in the country. Went to plan B and for the only black fridge they had…freezer on top, single door. Saved about $700. Delivered two days after. But I know of two couples who bought simple side by side fridges, 6 months later still undelivered. This was 7 months ago, and it was then I knew we were headed towards leaner times.
Last Friday we spent our “Biden Funny Money” as I call it. Went to a small, local appliance dealership. They had a marvelous selection of Maytags, Whirlpool, etc. Hubby asked if they had white appliances. Nope, those would have to be ordered in. Website said possibly November. Took hubby aside and said, “Let’s just buy whatever they have in stock.” So we picked out a stove, dishwasher and garbage disposal as all three of ours were crapping out. Today the appliance employees delivered and set everything up AND even hauled away the old appliances.
Plan Bs are essential today. Took me about 3 seconds to get over my disappointment and move on.
Hubby just went yesterday to buy me the new Bronco, they said we will probably get it in February.
Probably?
New Vehicle Sales Plunge as Prices Soar amid Supply Chain Chaos, Chip Shortages, and Depleted Inventories
Oct 5, 2021
https://wolfstreet.com/2021/10/05/new-vehicle-sales-plunge-as-prices-soar-amid-supply-chain-chaos-chip-shortages-depleted-inventories/
Applies to every car dealer across the country.
Going to be massive layoffs everywhere. That is what they need to destroy this Country once and for all.
That’s what my husband says (underground utilities). He says they can’t get spools of fiber optic. He says they are having to put in 12 pair copper wire. That’s overkill, wire about as big around as your little finger, a spool weighs as much as a truck motor compared to fiber optic can be picked up by a worker.
All according to plan, helped by the Federal Reserve which destroyed honest money, and of course both houses of Congress who have had their hands in our pockets for decades, all the while protecting those who are buying their “services”.
Graft from top to bottom.
November of 2022 will be too late
I get the feeling that the fix is already in with regards to 2022, otherwise they wouldn’t be so outrageously brash knowing that they were going to be getting an atomic ass whipping at the polls. Maybe I going crazy, but everything lately is part of the crazy train if you know what I mean. I hope I’m wrong…
That the fix was in for 2022 and beyond became quite apparent by the end of 2020 when obvious and in-your-face fraud was shrugged off by everyone including “GOP” controlled state legislatures that stood/still stand in the way of any effort to investigate.
Many of them haven’t even passed any election integrity laws.
They are all bought off.
Perhaps no one should show to vote. Let them hold an election and no one comes. Just start our own parallel country as we are doing anyway.
And there are many so called conservative blog sites ( Townhall, PJ Media) who treat the “Biden Administration” as legit and write articles about how awful things are without even touching on the subject of the stolen election and how if Pres Trump were in the White House where he should be things would be so much better.
It seems as if many of these places just love to write the “ain’t it awful” articles and yak yak yak about how the country is going down hill but completely ignore the solution of fixing the 2020 election.
Hey Mikey, did you pull a Rip Van Winkle and miss the whole period from November 3 to January 20ish?
We had a really big election……..and the coup stole it right before our eyes!
Anyone who thinks we can vote our way out of this is cuckoo…..but I repeat myself.
When state and federal governments steal elections they null our voice and make our republic meaningless.
This is why we have to FIX 2020 FIRST. Not to get Biden out, but to get his unelected handler out (you don’t think Harris controls anything, do you?) Plus the rest of his administration and “team” as Sundance has explained it, and the other “team” of the Deep State.
Not a simple job, but the alternative is prison camp and/or firing squad, because do you think they don’t have a way to trace you to reading TCH? (Not that they need a reason; Solzhenitsyn mentioned the times it was just about the quota.)
Right on, Karen. You obviously have figured it out. You, me and the rest of the cognitive souls who actually see what’s happening will not stop fighting until the “coup” is destroyed and our nation is put back on a Constitutional path.
As Ian Anderson wrote and Martin Barre played so eloquently……..NOTHING’S EASY!
Sorry. You’re right.
Buckle up!
I keep trying to explain this to those saying Trump 2024…there won’t be a 2022, let alone a 2024 the way things are going. The left isn’t even attempting to hide the election fraud now. The recall in California was a joke. There were people showing up in person who were told they already voted by mail, and nothing happened. Arizona just had a bombshell drop during the state assembly meeting about the fraud investigation. They admitted that they deleted all the data after it was transferred to a system not included in the audit subpoena. Openly admitted to fraud and obstruction…nothing but crickets. I refuse to live in fear; but the idea that we will make it to a 2024 election without some sort of backlash is being more of a reality every day.
People who don’t live in California have no idea how bad it is. In 2008 several precincts had over 100% turn-out in Santa Barbara County. One precinct had 130% turnout. A local rancher took the election fraud to court, lost, then appealed and won, but then was over-turned once more. The rancher spent hundreds of thousands of dollars pursuing this. The judge said that even if mistakes were made “the intent of the voters was clear; they wanted Barrack Obama.” Of course he didn’t mention the impact on the important local races. Of course the local media was in on it from the start: https://www.independent.com/2011/08/20/santa-ynez-valley-journal-accuses-da-inaction/
I was there until May of 2020. I know first hand about Cali election fraud. It’s one of the reasons why I moved my family. The biggest was the schools telling the girls that boys were allowed in the girls locker/bathrooms if they claimed to be a girl. Not happening to my daughter. With all the garbage going on now in schools, we pulled her to finish her last two years at home.
Half of our family have already moved to Texas so I’m going back and forth, spending time in both. I’ve ranch sat in Texas Hill Country for many years and already toyed with buying a second home there. The Hubby doesn’t want to leave because his family has been in California prehistorically and his family tree can be documented back to Ortega in the 1700s. My dad’s family only goes back to the post Civil War Orphan Train but my maternal Grandma came during the Dust Bowl in 1935. You’ve got to know when to fold.
That’s amazing! I know my dad’s side came over from Germany in the late 1700’s. They were not quite royalty, but they were in a higher class bracket than most. My grandma used to tell us a little bit about them, but that’s about all the info I have. I love history, so hearing about your family being able to trace back that far is very impressive to me. As far as knowing when to fold, you’re spot on. I love the state of California, but the leadership is gone…I was in law enforcement there at the county level. The only reason we were able to move when we did to the location we are now was because I’m medically retired and on ssdi…I didn’t need to find work first. I wish you and your family well. Be safe out there.
The pain will increase until they get what they want or until we stop it.
We need to stop this.
I go back in forth between malicious or incompetent.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/conservative-org-blasts-biden-admin-s-claim-that-it-s-unfair-and-absurd-to-raise-prices-due-to-higher-taxes/ar-AAPd1Zp
The malicious ones are the planners, the incompetent ones like AOC are just a bunch of dumbazzes that parrot things they hear.
Not so long ago the incompetent ones were referred to as Useful Idiots. I believe the term still holds true today.
AOC is waiting for her new Tesla to be delivered and is demanding free oil changes.
Probably going to demanding headlight fluid next, knowing AOC.
My chuckle for the day.
My vote goes to malicious, malevolent and willful destruction.
Same here, all by design, including Afghanistan.
“I go back in forth between malicious or incompetent”
Everything is by design.
The marrionettes are incompetent, those pulling the strings are malicious, those planning and financing it are our mortal enemy.
My neighbor still thinks the pullout from Afghanistan was “incompetent”. I keep pointing out to her you don’t incompetently insult the entire US military by informing them after the fact that “no man left behind” is passe, and that they are all Star Trek red shirts now.
The Demo-Marxists who are running what was once OUR Country have absolutely no mercy for anyone, nor concern for what is going to happen when they kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
Comrade DelAssholio and Empress Hochul are two prime examples of Blue state megalomaniacs.
They would rather destroy NY state, its people and its businesses than relinquish one bit of their power. And that is exactly what they are doing.
As far as the Bidenistas- Isn’t it strange that the only program started by our President Trump that they haven’t dismantled is Op Warp Speed?
I wonder why. Could it be that it turned out to be such a perfect machine for mass injection of the populace?
We will soon reach an inflection point. Even the Commies have to eat.
Agreed Seneca. The younger generation is vibrantly awake. Liberal culture has become the thing of the boomer generation in their eyes. Bucking this lib culture has become the new rebellious spirit. Interesting times.

I am on my way to a local school board meeting at the invitation of a new (young) parents group in my town.
We have a number of items on the agenda that we are going to address with the board including the attempt by the National SChool Board ASsoc. to classify us as domestic terrorists.
Should be an interesting meeting. I am so proud of these younger moms and dads! They all seem to be Trump supporters as well- I love the flags and banners on the pick up trucks.
More will be created everyday with our current Gov’t so time work it.
You are an inspiration, Seneca! We’ve been to a few township meetings since the local elections are coming and it definitely gets ugly but that’s what fighting for our Rights is all about.
Give’em the truth and then give’em He ll!
Awesome good sir!!! Man I’m proud of you. We need more like ya in our midst.
What an example you are going to be for this new young family.
Keep the faith good sir. The fight will be worth it!
DD
I applaud you for doing that. Keep the young ones pumped up. I too am feeling a lot of younger people are coming our way. We just have to pray that we can make it to 2022.
Do you really think anything will change for the better? Seriously?
All the best to you Seneca.
“ one day at a time” we will win this battle, or I will die or be gaoled trying.
I just ripped a woman because no joke I crossed in front of her direction of travel.
The fat sow was waddling at least twenty feet behind me. I wasn’t remotely close to her.
I turned to her and said “your joking right”,she screamed “no,no”mmove get moving.
Goodness me she waddled like a Water Buffalo and was maskless to boot.
I seldom hold back anymore.
I keep seeing people moaning on social media that nobody is doing anything, and they seem surprised when I say, have you been to your local school boards recently? Because I have been watching several local school boards in 2021 and each of them seems to have its very dedicated team of parents who plan to keep showing up for the indefinite future and make the school board as miserable as the board is making their children.
School boards, county commissioner’s meeting, city council, pick one or two and start attending their meetings.
Take a group of friends with you and let them know you are watching them.
Please report back at the conclusion of the meeting.
God Bless you Seneca!
I see full blown depression and anarchy on the way. Wish I had kept the sailboat but then whee would I go with this covidiousy.
FJB !
Just a different way of saying the same thing,
“Do you really think anything will change for the better? Seriously?”
Most have not ended emergency powers either, this is no longer and has not been an emergency.
“We will soon reach an inflection point. Even the Commies have to eat.”
Feed ‘em lead!
Hot, fast, and spicy.
Let’s not call it inflation. That is so inflammatory. Can we just call it a temporary rise in prices? /sarc
Price change. Like climate change instead of global warming.
The word you’re looking for is the Fed’s favorite…transitory. All their doing.
But Uncle Joe just raised EBT by 25%!
That’s smart!
So grifters and the working poor can afford the inflation, right?
So what if Hawkins Burgers in Watts raises their prices.
Imma still get that Whipper Burger deal
Git in line, Honky! EBTeeese is da new dough, bro….Hey, wait a minute, dat black man just plumped down cash for a salad?
Well then, HE AIN’T BLACK cuz CNN and Uncle Joe told me so./Sarc
I’m darn sure there are parents of black, white, yellow and red families who would like to pull the strings on the Resident real tight right about now but unfortunately that would do diddly squat.
We, as real Americans of every color, race and creed need to confront the evilness known as The US Gubment and squash it like a bug.
Who wants to go first? Any volunteers?
To quote Walter Cronkite…”And that’s the way it is, October 7, 2021…….but honestly, it’s looking like a real shitstorm!
Say what ever you want about policy but the simple fact is these corporations always use any excuse they can to pass the cost,of,doing business on to their employees or consumers. This is no different. So please don’t make it seem they don’t have a choice in the matter most are seeing record high profits.
if it wasn’t this it would be some other excuse to justify their greed. I, sick of it. How much is enough?
We passed by “enough” on 11/3/2020 and then morphed into Communism 1/6/2021!
It’s in the Book.
Understand where you’re coming from, and I respect your opinion.
Throughout history big corporations have always passed along the cost increases, and made big profits, so this is nothing new. A tiny part of those profits are available to us if we wish to own stock in the corporation, so that’s their shelter from accusations of greed. Give us your money and you can have some profits too!
My issue is not as much with the private corporate structure as it is with the government’s vicious cycle of tax and spend, with the spending far outpacing the taxes, and at such an unsustainable rate that it’s brought us to where we are today. This endless deficit spending trashes our dollar’s purchasing power enough to become a substantial hidden tax to go with all the rest, to the point where the dollar simply can not buy near as much tomorrow as it did yesterday. Our currency is in a downward graveyard spiral.
Has been for a long time, the dollar is worth about .10 cents now. Twenty dollar bills are the new dollar
That’s our economy now, corporation make money
your 401k makes money, insurance companies in the market also to be able to pay claims.not saying the best policy but it is what it is.
Your 401K isn’t making any money if Inflation eats it up beforehand.
I honestly think you need a return of 100%+ per annum
to get ahead and almost nobody can achieve that consistently.
Real inflation is probably close to 60+ percent under Biden.
401k would need to earn more than that after taxes.
ConAgra is already showing rec0rd profits for 2021 already surpassing what they made in 2020. It isn’t policy folks it’s good, ole fashioned greed. And I’m tired of people using Biden as the excuse.to justify it. Period.
all this can be found by a simple Google, search. Spare me…..
So 8-11% inflation is not the result of the dynamic Sundance described in his post, but is due to greed. As you likely know, we didn’t have much inflation when Trump was president, so why did corporations suddenly get greedier during the reign of Biden? And how do you know that any increase in profits for Conagra is due to rising prices?
8-11% inflation is BS…. most items already went up 30+% when you add another leap up we are gonna be around 50-60% with the high A$$ sales taxes added in.
Car got wrecked, stopped at dealerships this week and found 10k average premium being added to the sticker of new cars at dealerships here in LA. TEN FRICKEN GRAND!
And used cars are $10K higher book value than a year ago.
My neighbor sold his Truck for $30,000 with 150k miles on it.
He bought the truck new for $25,000 LMAO.
Everything is upside down under Biden.
This man Joe Stalin is gonna k!ll the whole economy if he can.
People must insulate themselves from the Crooks any way possible.
Build a buffer between you and them.
Don’t provide any service to Democrats either, tell them to go elsewhere.
Absolutely true! The very same car we bought our granddaughter last October is almost exactly $10k more today.
My husband is selling his mom’s 2yr old car, and a dealer called offering close to the original price. Crazy…
Interesting. Our close relative the GM and the crew here in Southern B.C. are taking over offers on units…this won’t last.
What will break first..double digit inflation that cripples our countries or double digit unemployment. Or maybe both.
President Harris will have an easy time rebounding at least some aspects of the economy once Team Obama dispatches of His Fraudulency II, aka FJB, from office. Just as they planned it!
Regardless, only tens of millions of fake ballots can save the demonrats now.
One has to ask why bother with the vote?
Leftists dream of creating the anomic citizen – a person without ties to friends or family. Just a strong bond with, and dependence on the government. Eliminating the social whirl of restaurants and nightclubs would help do that. You can eat alone at home: what’s the big deal?
They say the French Revolution was born in the cafes and coffee shops of Paris. Coffee is splendid fuel for big talking revolutionaries, staying up late on caffeine. Hard to start a revolution if you’re home alone with the cat.
Depends on the cat and I’m a born dog lover but I did have one cat (stray) who we named Hobbes. Just a bigger Tabby but he got his tail bit off by the neighbors dog as he couldn’t quite get under the shed far enough. He survived after a trip to the vet and when he entered the homestead ( he was basically an outdoor dude) ….. all the other animals gave way so “Bully, Bully” as my oldest son called him, could swagger his way to the food bowl.
He definitely had some French Resistonce in his blood!
Think 1984. Orwell was truly prescient.
That was exactly what happened folks went back to their “ pods” and were spied upon by their T.V. monitors.
Amazing..
E.M. Forster wrote a novella called The Machine Stops back in 1909.
The entire human race lived inside in cubicles, communicating by TV-like screens, and never went outside. A giant “machine” ran everything.
Now, the spy devices are on each and every one of the people, including when they gather in person.
Feeding the super AI surveillance fusion system.
If it can be hacked, we should assume the govt is already tapping it.
If it has a microphone, assume it may be listening. Audio signal processing is highly sophisticated now.
If it has a camera, assume the imagery may be fed to the borg. Image processing including text and facial recognition is highly sophisticated now.
Unless the battery is removed or power physically disconnected with no internal backup, assume it may be powered on even when it appears to be off. (Low level FW/SW can spoof the user interface.)
Data overload used to be an impediment, but AI has probably solved that now.
1984 was primitive by comparison.
The biggest question that needs answered is WHERE ARE THESE DATA BASES AND EQUIPMENT?
Unless they are circling the planet very far above us, we can fix this crap.
Hey now! Joe saved us .12 cents on our 4th of July picnic.
Let it rip!
These mailbox check collectors are going to get exactly what they asked for.
Pensions and SS are on the brink as it is.
These are the good old days for the retired pensioners.
70 years of Breton Woods is coming to an end soon.
Sorry-not sorry. There is going to be some very well deserved hungry bellies.
Well, two things:
Thank you for the research. The outcome is written in at least stone of a 2 year cycle—–ALL due to plan.
I went to the grocery today to get a small bag of frozen cheese tortellini, one half pound of medium shrimp and one bunch of asparagus. What cost me less than ten dollars two weeks ago with no coupons cost me fourteen today.
The prices at the grocery store are way up! I am shocked every time I check out.
The stuff I have been buying for the past 7 years, which used to be steady in price; (Note everything went up under Obama around 2011-2014 too.) is now going up almost every week. Basic things like gallon of water just jumped 25% which is actually 28% increase (2.5% rounds it up to 28%) when you add in the extra sales tax at 10% rate LM F*CKING AO. This is unbelievable, Biden is INSANE and so are his Supporters most of whom get Foodstamps and don’t even pay the 10% salestax.
Another factor not mentioned in Sundances excellent treatise in Bidenomics vs Trumponomics,…is “Just In Time” supply chain system.
It is how we recieve virtually every necesity. It IS an extremely EFFICIENT system, which is its “selling point”, and why everything is supplied using JIT. BUT, it is an extremely FRAGILE system, and vulnerable to any sudden changes, either on the supply or demand end, or if any link in the chain breaks.
We saw this, with TP, early on in covid plandemic. A relatively few purchasers “horded”, and then gradually almost ALL consumers bought “extra, just in case”, and it took months and months for the system to recover.
I have come to believe this isn’t all “political”, even though it seems like it.
Rather, its “the end of civilisation as we know it”, we have reached the “tipping point”, and it is beyond being able to stop it.
I also think it is inevitable; just like “Socialism” (Conmunism), every time humans have tried “Civilisation”, it eventually fails, usually falling under its own weight.
Physically speaking, are you referring to all the boats hovering around the ports in Cali.?
We’ve invited them to Florida’s ports. We have lots!
All by design.
1. “……. plan to fundamentally transform America.” The One.
Democrats + RINOs = STAGFLATION!
Ahh…some of that Marxist magic. Never fails to fail for real people. But we can all feel good the “right” people are getting wealthier again…the Beltway Bordello is back in business.
This is a feature not a glitch they like the pain.
This is all part of Joe Biden’s vision for America. Trust him. He knows what he is doing. Or whoever is pulling his strings know what he is doing … … or they are doing … … or someone is doing. It is brilliant in its simplicity. If food cost 11% more, then people will have 11% less to eat and those pounds will just melt away. Joe Biden will have done even better than curing cancer, he will have cured obesity!
Maybe so; unless they die from the clot-shot!
That’s another feature of the Biden/Fauci Plan. The younger people are when they die, the better they look in the coffin.
And the fewer children will be born to real Americans of whatever color/creed/etc. The sterilizing clotshot is a depopulation tool. First World people use too many resources according to our demonic overlords. Our replacement hordes are already on the way.
I have been wondering for 6 months what is going on with the fresh chicken at Sam’s Club. Chicken thighs can only be found every other week and wings are non-existent. Sometimes there are only whole chickens and lots of drumsticks.
It seems that the number one chicken producer in the USA is Tyson and they changed to a new breed of rooster which produced tastier meat in its offspring. Too late they discovered that these roosters were under-fertilizing eggs creating a chicken shortage. They are switching back to the old roosters, but it takes time to bring them to full maturity to produce new roosters.
Chicken wings restaurants were so short they had to add boneless wings of thigh parts to their menu which explains the shortage of thighs and breasts.
Chicken Gate, coming to a town near you. ?
If at all possible, raise your own chicken. It takes 20-21 days to complete a hatch. Your baby roosters are ready to slaughter by 16 – 18 weeks on average for non-meat specific breeds. Your baby hens are ready to lay in about 5 months. I butcher white leghorn roosters raised specifically for that purpose. They are lean, but the meat is sweet.
I raised chickens from day old chicks to laying hens. Do you know how long it takes? 4 months. Tyson is lying to you.
Seeing prices jump here in Pa.
My garden is still going. Froze lots of tomatoes, peppers, and onions. What I couldn’t grow, I bought at the farm stand and froze that too, including 3 dozen ears of corn.
We’re in for a Long Winter.
Yep, the Mrs. and I canned this year. First time in over 20+ years, and while it’s work, we thoroughly enjoyed the time together.
And, if you’re inclined to do so, can fresh meat meat, cooked first. Should power go out, frozen meat won’t last.
There are many new recipes out there to can also. Like beef stew in a jar or burritos…
Be sure to remind people that wages were growing and prices were falling when the guy who sent mean tweets was in office.
I’ve been putting “Biden did this” post it notes on gas pumps, going to start taking them to the grocery store.
I like this idea. I think I’ll start this also.
Me too!
It is my sincere belief that along with deliberately “faulty” vaccines and standards of care, the globalist oligarchy intends to starve the US population. If it happened in the former Soviet block, Maoist China or Nazi Germany, it is in the works now. History is being intentionally replayed. I pray I am wrong

Real cost of inflation to average American household: An extra $175 a month

Never forget we are where we are at today because the asshole Republicans aided and abetted and in most cases were co- conspirators with the Demonic Pedo Democrats. They fought President Trump every yard of the way. They think they deserve to win in ’22? Maybe. But Im not voting for any of them because they’re all democrats anyway.
NOT ONE broke with cocaine mitch and permitted POTUS DJT to make recess appointments!
Rand Paul sure talks purty don’t he now that is don’t matter.
Yup. I’m a Texan. Have a friend who likes Cruz.
Can’t keep the friendship if I keep bringing it up.
Good post.
Sundance, thank you very much for the “The Conservative Treehouse” website. Reading its articles is a wonderful education.
Regarding this article – Well, I guess I’ll tighten my belt at the grocery store. For example I’ll learn how to make processed food myself, to save money, instead of buying the finished product.
For those of you that live in the burbs, you’d be surprised how much food you can grow in your back yards (front yards for non HOA). If you have a lawn you can utilize that sq ft to grow a lot of food. Look for high intensity gardens on ytube. Greens, veggies and potatoes (high calorie).
Meat rabbits are a great option for protein. They’re quiet and don’t take much space to provide a lot of food. A buck and some does can produce almost as much as a cow in a year (if properly bred) and the meat is much better for you.
Start talking with your neighbors. You can organize a barter system for things you don’t produce.
Plant potatoes? In October?
“Wheat, corn and soybeans are the foundation of the U.S. food supply. They are primarily used as ingredients in processed foods, oils, and are fed to the cattle, hogs, and poultry that supply meat and eggs for the American diet. When those grain harvests go up in price, the downstream increase in price is far reaching.”
And this is why I love this site and the author who created it.
Common sense is not something you learn in school.
God Bless you, Sundance….and God Bless us all, young and old.
What the hell is going on!!!!
Everytime you are at a store and you hear somebody complaining about the cost of groceries, ask them if they voted
for Biden/democrats. If they say yes or say that’s none of your business, then look them in the eye and say you got what you voted for: Socialism, and this is what socialism is. Breadlines and no groceries on the shelf.
Put them in their place and remind them of the fact that elections have consequences.
Time to start being proactive folks. Engage. Be nice. Use facts.
You should also take note of people with Biden, or Democrat signs during election season.
Watch whom they have on signs during local school elections and compare to those whom supported the Trump/ Free America agenda. We must have good school boards. We can no longer ignore these commies raising our taxes and abusing our kids and their education. We have to turn this ship folks.
You can feel the frustration from many fellow grocery shoppers. Every week I say to at least five shoppers: “You know, elections do have consequences.”
At the age of double 7’s we have been thru this before.yes it’s all wrong but we will survive.old timers here give us your tips to get thru it.you will survive with Ramon noodles for dinner or pb&j do what you can to cut down,it will pass God willing.
We’ve through a few too. This is different. This is targeted and destructive.
Agree the cause may be different, but to Tom’s point, we can survive on the basics of very simple foods. Growing up there were many I knew who had a meat product once a week. Bread, eggs, beans, pasta, dairy were their staples. What their doing is criminal, but we will survive.
True
Pretty soon that 600 bucks that Joe wants to investigate coming out of your bank acc’t. isn’t even going to cover a weekly grocery bill for 4 people.
FJB
And the horse he rode in on!
Come on man. Inflation pays for itself.
I live at what I call the end of the food chain…small population area…..and the shelves in my area have never recovered from the shut down of the economy…empty shelves are just the way it is here. And no it is not because people are buying more and not eatng out, etc…I disagree with SD on this…it is because the product never makes it here!! I have been told it is because they don’t have the employees to stock the shelves…that is a bit thin because sooner or later it would show up on the shelves because someone would stock the shelves. I have also been told, and I do believe this, that they keep putting it on their order but they just don’t get it. The grocery stores have sales but they never have the product to put on sale I don’t care what day I go into the grocery store, the shelves are half empty….
I have a friend with a small store and she says the same thing; the supplier has sales but when she tries to order there is nothing to order….been told stock up now for Christmas…she has, very clever business person….but doe not bode well for the work I do which depends on consumers consuming…interestingly, more consumer spending in Australia, New Zealand, and England than in USA…..
But but but, no mean tweets.
What state and region of the state are you from please?
Hang in there
Mountains of NC
Thank you for this info, Sundance. Your insight and analysis of our supply chains during the pandemic helped keep me one step ahead of any shortages. Not to mention how interesting it is to learn how “stuff” actually moves through the system before hitting the shelves.

Leon, You are now on the FIB’s 10 Most Wanted List for exposing Val Jarrett, covering as a Trump supporter as giving her puppet JoXiden the finger.
In real time we know she was signaling the next phase in “Ovomit’s Transformation of America” scheme.
Making Jimmy Jimmy Carter proud!
https://wtfhappenedin1971.com/
shows hat happened when we abandoned stable currency for fiat paper
Also as a farmer don’t think we are getting rich on this, fuel and other energy is killing us for one thing. Most livestock is sold on contract. Farmers provide housing and receive a “wage or contract” not based on the market price, that is a mirage. very little is sold on the market these days. Most farmers are cattle custodians these days. Even in my world of organic dairy the shortages are starting to appear, our coop is running very short on caps for dairy jugs for one example.
I wrote to you about a year ago, and you were gracious enough to publish me
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2020/04/14/phase-five-supply-chain-with-a-message-from-a-dairy-farmer/
some things have changed but the reality is the same but this time we have Xi Biden in charge (or whoever is guiding the senile boob, Dr Jill?) hang on tight it’s going to be a bumpy ride. If you know a small farmer or know some one who does, it is a good idea to make friends. The America of yeoman farmers is long gone replaced by corporate masters. Jefferson weeps!
What the woo…..???
Samson’s video on You Tube, 46 = 13, answers this whole situation better than I ever could. Stay on at the end, it ain’t over, bonus Afghanistan rap.
I suspect that is an underestimate so people won’t panic.
Democrats aren’t doing much to ensure their chances at getting elected in 2022, unless they have something up their sleeve.
I believe it’s time to wean ourselves away from the convenience of “grocery stores”.
It will take more effort to search for & find those local butchers & farmer’s markets, but we need to think more ‘locally’. And, those local growers & butchers can be found.
Prices will undoubtedly be higher than at grocery stores, yet the product will be much, much better.
We should not be trusting the large, global food processors — as we have no idea what they are really putting into their products.
It is estimated that only 30% of products found in grocery stores are non-GMO. Processed foods are convenient, but what is really in them?
Instead of relying on controlled food chains, we should be creating our own.
And, we are what we eat.
Build Back Better? Bidens mental instability was the blue print for that statement.
No. The United Nations and the Global Reset.
