Dems block bill that would require testing at the border. I’m of two minds on this. On the one hand, it makes sense for all the obvious reasons. On the other hand, it suggests that people should be able to arrive at our border, no less cross over it. And they shouldn’t be allowed to cross. So my concern is that we keep providing services to them as if they belong here, when they don’t.
Any bill they passed will be ignored for the people that it was actually intended for and will be twisted and tortured into a massive bureaucracy driven suppression system for dissenters. Just look at the past 125 years of US history, especially recent history.

I have a friend in Virginia (a red area) who had an issue with blood clots. Before she knew what it was, one of her legs swelled to about double in size and she was in much pain.
Her neighbor, an ER nurse, went over there and said she would normally urge her to go to the hospital, but the wait would have been at LEAST 10 hours because there were few if any beds! Why no beds? Not because of covid.
No, there were no beds because of all the Haitian migrants being treated!
Those Haitians must really be Neanderthals … right? Traveling and camping in such tight quarters without masks … and without vaccines. Why are we letting these Neanderthals into the USA … I thought we had enough of those in FL and TX?

Blood clots and a swollen leg can be life threatening, I hope she got some kind of medical care beyond her ER nurse friend.
Surely she went in some where, this is not a medical situation that can be left to itself and can be very dangerous.
I think I would have gone down to some ER somewhere to get help and not just stayed at home in pain and in danger from the blood clots breaking off and floating along my system possibly to my heart.
I would sit in the ER waiting room screaming my head off if I had to get get some kind of service.
My husband and my son and daughter in law would be pestering the hospital for some kind of service for me also.
I hope more citizens who need medical care will get out and demand it and not sit back allowing illegals to go first and make us second class citizens.
I hope their families will be right by their sides demanding the care their loved ones deserve when the parent or grand parent is too ill to fight for themselves.
Do not stay home just because the beds are full of illegals, make them give you one or your loved one a bed if needed.
She did go to her doctor and he had her get an ultrasound. Gave her oral blood thinning meds (warfarin), and she had to give herself daily injections in her abdominal area for 7 days – also blood thinner.
The doc increased the dose of the oral meds after she finished the course of injections.

Her family is scattered across the county, so she doesn’t really have family nearby to advocate for her.

Well, I wouldn’t get too excited about Scandanavia. They have imported and continue to import a dangerously high number of “migrants” and “refugees” otherwise known as colonizers from Muslim countries with an eye toward the Caliphate. If you get your news about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries from the American news sources, including the internet, you might want to discount much of it because it is generally incorrect. Best is to visit for a few days not just a day in Stockholm. The Scandinavians in general are a sane, reasonable and well educated people. Yes they do have a number of Muslim immigrants and yes the authorities do keep a careful eye on them in order to forestall dangerous or criminal behaviour. Lastly, yes they do have a socially beneficial system but it isn’t the flaming socialism such as is frequently portrayed by US news sources. The US could learn a lot from the Swedes!
My mom’s side of the family is from Åland and we went back in 2019 for her 75th b-day. All I can say is my experience was not as you describe with her family and friends (both on the island and mainland).

They arranged lunches and Christmas celebrations and donated clothing to the migrants. Now many of the locals are afraid and confused. With tears in their eyes, they tell me how their friendly village has been totally transformed by these young aggressive male asylum seekers. The asylum seekers scream at the locals, call the women whores. They steal from the shops and don’t seem at all grateful or happy to be here.
Many wonder what these asylum-seekers expected when they arrived in Sweden. Daily Svenska Dagbladet interviewed Saleh from Iraq who complained, “We can’t sit here and wait for the decision on residence permit indefinitely… We sit at the asylum house all day long and do nothing. Our children have nothing to do, and there is no playground there. And the food that is served here is strange, it doesn’t look like the food we are used to.”
Saleh is not alone. Actually more people are going back to Iraq now than are coming here. This year 1,243 have applied for asylum and 1,366 have taken the application back. But that is just a drop in the ocean. The people here they wonder if peace will ever come back to this place.

So sad, the frustrating part is that just about every country is having the same problem. All this is by design and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop those at the top that are doing this.
They are a capitalist economy with, by general consensus, large social programs. BUT… They are a very honest people, care about others, and hard-working.

You really should read Mark Steyn’s 2006 book AMERICA ALONE. An exceptionally good analysis of this in a way that only Mark can produce. Unputdownable, if I can phrase it like that.
Have read most of Mark’s books. In fact, these days, I often think of them as a kind of a series and realize that we’ve moved far beyond even his worst predictions in many ways.

I wonder that, as well, in general about our military (and law enforcement). I moved from MN to South Dakota 18 months ago (NE). I have no regrets and am pleased with the changes in my life. Anything has to be better than Oregon!! I have pretty much isolated myself, barely even going out now. Church is back to masks so no interaction or singing. The other day I came out of one of the few stores I wear a mask in and got yelled at by some crazy that we have to wear masks outside too . I yanked my mask off as soon as I had exited. I kept walking ignoring the crazy lady, knowing that what I might say would probably end in some type of crazy confrontation!
One of the saddest things about all of the lock downs, masks and covid restrictions to me is how so many of our Churches went along with everything.
The leader of our Church sent out letters to all of the congregations telling everyone to get vaccinated last year and we have not been back.
Our church was one of the first to shut down and lock up and when we were “allowed” back in we all had to wear masks and sit six feet apart.
Very sad for all and the meetings were so depressing.
We had hoped for so much more from our churches in helping us fight for our God given rights but it was not to be and we have not been back to that church.
Covid and President Trump has shown us how corrupt ALL OF OUR SYSTEMS are. Just think of how many corrupt people Trump has exposed. You sure about SD? It seems to be in real danger of being cut off from the rest of Red America. Think carefully about how the country might split up and what states might band together. This last one I got after putting in a complaint with the head of the fourth one’s agency statewide, because I didn’t want the buyers getting screwed up, along with not wanting to get screwed again. Do believe she is a keeper; I pray for Oregon seems to have the most incompetent and uncaring agents ever.
I am up in the woods in a secluded area sort of, that does have medical, and fire within minutes. At 72 I still have to keep those things in mind even though right now I have no medical issues. They even have a very active Christian Church.

That is exactly what I said when I first enter another home in the area. Good thing I lost the bid on that one…It was less than 1000 sq feet & this one is 1500…Both were same price.
What I like about the area is I can be in Rapid City most of the time in less than 25 minutes when I need be for big shopping and medical. When I get home I can sit on the front porch & watch the critters while relaxing with my drink(usually Pepsi free) and listening to my music.
Sounds like you hit the sweet spot of being more rural and remote, but not so remote that, at this stage in life, it’s too far from necessary services. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having worked and volunteered with a small town ambulance service in Bishop, if I had to ever be picked up I know I’m not going to be looking out the back window if it is code 3 LOL.
We must stay here in blue Colorado for now but are at least in a very rural area which helps.
We have several hundred acres of farm land and several hundred more ranch land for our cows.
So far we are fit enough to handle this with a little hired help and the business that makes us our most money is one that is just writing reports for our clients all over the country so it does not matter where we live.
We have an older house that is in decent shape but no one is going to look at it and think “those people must have a lot of money and stuff to steal so lets take it”.
We keep it in shabby condition on purpose, it is my husbands idea of camouflage, we look as though we have nothing worth stealing.
We drive older trucks and cars in excellent shape but still older, camouflage again.
No fancy lawn furniture and anything we do not want people to look at is locked inside the inside room of our barns.
We are an older couple that tries to shop quietly and not draw attention to ourselves so no one know how much food or other things we might have around the place and we stay out of town, only going in to shop maybe twice a month or so.

We like being out in the country and hanging around with friends and shopping at our Amish friends bakery and variety store for the things we might run out of and need quickly.
Do believe that is another reason I think that I was able to get it. The home is well built, only 3 years old, but nothing really fancy. Most of the homes in that area have fancy stuff and this one is just right and barely any land. Just the right size for a 72 year lady.
Most people want a decent size yard and all the fancy fixings.

I live in NE Oregon where my area’s weather is almost identical to the weather in Southern Areas of South Dakota even down to the winds and snow. In fact for the last 3 weeks weather in the Rapid City/Black Hills area has been 5 to 10 degrees warmer.

Third – Could see Covid regulations taking this one out.
Fourth – The Federal government has basically removed the 4th (search warrants) with FISA and the Patriot Act. Still partially honored at state and local level.

It’s amazing the number of people on here who SHOULD know that, and don’t. They talk about the “standing army”. The national guard is the second largest branch of “military”, and pretty much every one of them live and work in the communities and states they serve. Will some go to tyranny? Sure. Just like some police, fire, etc etc will. Humans are humans.
The bulk of the people though, the sheer numbers, are with the people who just want to be left the f*** alone to live their life. Those are the ones that own a huge percentage of those +hundred million guns and trillion rounds of ammo.

And let me add this to your statement. Most of us in small towns and cities know of and know where the police live. And I can probably say the same thing for the National Guard, we know where they live. If it ever gets to the point like Australia, where the police go after PEACEFUL PROTESTERS and old men and ladies, I don’t think it will be long before they go after the families of the police when they are at work. It may sound cruel to say that but when you are at war everything goes into play. Police officers worrying about their families and homes while they are at work is a great deterrent for them to act against us. Police may do what their Masters say, but remember it is us who pay their salaries and pensions.

Prior to Pearl Harbor or thereabouts one of the options discussed by the Japanese planners was an invasion of the United States with ground troops. After consideration the plan was scrapped because too many American civilians were armed and a physical invasion of Japanese soldiers was wisely scraped.
The atomic bombing of japan was to save millions of lives including our American soldiers had there been a ground invasion by American troops instead of breaking the will of Japan by the two horrific atom bombs dropped.

That map should cause serious pause about national divorce. Notice where all the border ports of trade and entry are located. Fly-over country may be our nation’s bread basket, but we still need access to trade and national security borders/ports. What are people doing to stand up to Tyranny? I am not wearing a mask, I live in a Texas city that decided to implement its own mask mandate even though the state does not have one. Several times we were walking through Loews and other people pull off their mask when they see us without one. I will not shop anywhere if I have to wear a mask. Ag Paxton just got the mask mandate stopped for now, hopefully the city will realize that have better ways to spend our money than on court cases against the state. I had covid19 and I will not get the vaccine. I have emailed and called Austin,Texas several times about the masks.

I had a back-up plan for my move just in case the weather is a bit weird at the end of October. It was to have a car hauler take my car from Oregon to South Dakota & I’d fly.
Then I realized flying with guns is not easy. Now add in all the craziness the Globalist are trying to do with our guns, I’ve decided that driving my own car with my guns is the only option.
In South Dakota you are legally allowed to pump your own gas! I’m not sure at what elevation you’ll be living but you’ll be driving at high elevations to get to South Dakota. I went from South Carolina to Wyoming in 1997 via automobile and I had a terrible time with the 85 octane gas that they sell at higher elevations. My car backfired, stalled and pinged but I was able to drive OK on the Interstate, slowing down on hills so I could make room in the gas tank for higher octane fuel. I was able to guess what the problem was. Manitoba, Canada, more restrictions aimed directly at the unvaxxed. Now if any church, wedding or anything else has someone unvaxxed, they are limited to 25 people total. Unvaxxed in your house? You can only have one other household visit yours. This just before Canadian Thanksgiving thereby meaning no holiday get togethers with family for the unvaxxed. Stores ect now down to 25% percent capacity. Many doctors are now announcing no treatment for the unvaxxed. There were additional special lockdown measures introduced for a rural municipality that has very low vaccination rates due to a very large percentage of old order Mennonites.
I had a long discussion with an unvaxxed friend. We are seriously thinking of moving to the USA. My wife is an American citizen. The noose is tightening here. If we don’t leave soon we won’t get out at all. Coming soon no inter provincial travel and no public transport including airplanes. The land border to the USA is still closed. We’d have to leave everything behind and fly out. At our age that would be really hard especially leaving the dogs and cats. We live on a fixed pension and would have no health insurance. Our home is comfy and we’re well stocked and pretty much independent of the grid and the rest of the world here. If I knew they would just leave us alone I’d be fine but I think rounding up the unvaxxed is coming.
Here’s a small example of the type of person currently embracing tyranny and authortarinism. I’m currently living in a work release facility in Florida, to finish out my last month’s of incarceration. Well I’m fully out in society and working and enjoying my new freedom. However, a situation this morning brought to light the full scope of the impact of covid fascism and fear mongering pushed on the citizens in my fairly free state of Florida.
We utilize the city bus for transportation to and from work, and as of late the bus drivers are becoming increasingly aggressive in enforcing masks for all who ride. Now, this morning the bus came to pick up about 40 of us in the morning as usual. Well this new driver stood up and demanded our attention so she could give her speech about masks. Then she became very aggressive as all the passengers said we are aware (everyone was masked and in compliance) and this long winded speech could potentially cause some to be late to work. Well now she is now upset because apparently 3 bus drivers had died from covid and we are being inconsiderate. And THEN she said if anyone was seen with out their mask worn properly she would be calling her supervisor and the jacksonville sheriff’s office, which would result in that person being sent back to prison to finish their sentence. (Any contact with law enforcement results in a violation and expulsion of the Work Release facility. Now all this while she’s wearing a “Jesus loves you” masks. This is a small example of the MSM brainwashing this people, to the point where this “Christian” woman would knowing set someone up to go back to prison for “not wearing a mask properly.”
Dems block bill that would require testing at the border. I’m of two minds on this. On the one hand, it makes sense for all the obvious reasons. On the other hand, it suggests that people should be able to arrive at our border, no less cross over it. And they shouldn’t be allowed to cross. So my concern is that we keep providing services to them as if they belong here, when they don’t.

Blood clots and a swollen leg can be life threatening, I hope she got some kind of medical care beyond her ER nurse friend.
Surely she went in some where, this is not a medical situation that can be left to itself and can be very dangerous.
I think I would have gone down to some ER somewhere to get help and not just stayed at home in pain and in danger from the blood clots breaking off and floating along my system possibly to my heart.
I would sit in the ER waiting room screaming my head off if I had to get get some kind of service.
My husband and my son and daughter in law would be pestering the hospital for some kind of service for me also.
I hope more citizens who need medical care will get out and demand it and not sit back allowing illegals to go first and make us second class citizens.
I hope their families will be right by their sides demanding the care their loved ones deserve when the parent or grand parent is too ill to fight for themselves.
Do not stay home just because the beds are full of illegals, make them give you one or your loved one a bed if needed.
She did go to her doctor and he had her get an ultrasound. Gave her oral blood thinning meds (warfarin), and she had to give herself daily injections in her abdominal area for 7 days – also blood thinner.
The doc increased the dose of the oral meds after she finished the course of injections.
Hopefully, she will have a full recovery.

If you get your news about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries from the American news sources, including the internet, you might want to discount much of it because it is generally incorrect. Best is to visit for a few days not just a day in Stockholm. The Scandinavians in general are a sane, reasonable and well educated people. Yes they do have a number of Muslim immigrants and yes the authorities do keep a careful eye on them in order to forestall dangerous or criminal behaviour. Lastly, yes they do have a socially beneficial system but it isn’t the flaming socialism such as is frequently portrayed by US news sources. The US could learn a lot from the Swedes!

Daily Svenska Dagbladet interviewed Saleh from Iraq who complained, “We can’t sit here and wait for the decision on residence permit indefinitely… We sit at the asylum house all day long and do nothing. Our children have nothing to do, and there is no playground there. And the food that is served here is strange, it doesn’t look like the food we are used to.”
Saleh is not alone. Actually more people are going back to Iraq now than are coming here. This year 1,243 have applied for asylum and 1,366 have taken the application back. But that is just a drop in the ocean. The people here they wonder if peace will ever come back to this place.

Anything has to be better than Oregon!! I have pretty much isolated myself, barely even going out now. Church is back to masks so no interaction or singing. The other day I came out of one of the few stores I wear a mask in and got yelled at by some crazy that we have to wear masks outside too . I yanked my mask off as soon as I had exited. I kept walking ignoring the crazy lady, knowing that what I might say would probably end in some type of crazy confrontation!
One of the saddest things about all of the lock downs, masks and covid restrictions to me is how so many of our Churches went along with everything.
The leader of our Church sent out letters to all of the congregations telling everyone to get vaccinated last year and we have not been back.
Our church was one of the first to shut down and lock up and when we were “allowed” back in we all had to wear masks and sit six feet apart.
Very sad for all and the meetings were so depressing.
We had hoped for so much more from our churches in helping us fight for our God given rights but it was not to be and we have not been back to that church.
Hopefully we can find one that has some moxie.
Now we “worship privately at home”.

You sure about SD? It seems to be in real danger of being cut off from the rest of Red America. Think carefully about how the country might split up and what states might band together. Oh, I know I am late. It has taken a while to get things in order to sell, along with finding a decent relator Oregon.
I have been through 5. First one actually broke the law, and when I tried to remedy it though her broker, the new agent I truly believe was doing more to try & cover not only the agency but the agent who broke the law. Third one kept trying to get me to accept a buyer’s addendum was not even humanly possible to do. Number 4 would take a few pages to tell you all the crazy things she was doing. This last one I got after putting in a complaint with the head of the fourth one’s agency statewide, because I didn’t want the buyers getting screwed up, along with not wanting to get screwed again. Do believe she is a keeper; I pray for Oregon seems to have the most incompetent and uncaring agents ever.
I am up in the woods in a secluded area sort of, that does have medical, and fire within minutes. At 72 I still have to keep those things in mind even though right now I have no medical issues. They even have a very active Christian Church.

That is exactly what I said when I first enter another home in the area. Good thing I lost the bid on that one…It was less than 1000 sq feet & this one is 1500…Both were same price.
What I like about the area is I can be in Rapid City most of the time in less than 25 minutes when I need be for big shopping and medical. When I get home I can sit on the front porch & watch the critters while relaxing with my drink(usually Pepsi free) and listening to my music.
Sounds like you hit the sweet spot of being more rural and remote, but not so remote that, at this stage in life, it’s too far from necessary services. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We must stay here in blue Colorado for now but are at least in a very rural area which helps.
We have several hundred acres of farm land and several hundred more ranch land for our cows.
So far we are fit enough to handle this with a little hired help and the business that makes us our most money is one that is just writing reports for our clients all over the country so it does not matter where we live.
We have an older house that is in decent shape but no one is going to look at it and think “those people must have a lot of money and stuff to steal so lets take it”.
We keep it in shabby condition on purpose, it is my husbands idea of camouflage, we look as though we have nothing worth stealing.
We drive older trucks and cars in excellent shape but still older, camouflage again.
No fancy lawn furniture and anything we do not want people to look at is locked inside the inside room of our barns.
We are an older couple that tries to shop quietly and not draw attention to ourselves so no one know how much food or other things we might have around the place and we stay out of town, only going in to shop maybe twice a month or so.
We like to live like this so it is not making us weird or unhappy.
We like being out in the country and hanging around with friends and shopping at our Amish friends bakery and variety store for the things we might run out of and need quickly.
Do believe that is another reason I think that I was able to get it. The home is well built, only 3 years old, but nothing really fancy. Most of the homes in that area have fancy stuff and this one is just right and barely any land. Just the right size for a 72 year lady.
Most people want a decent size yard and all the fancy fixings.

I live in NE Oregon where my area’s weather is almost identical to the weather in Southern Areas of South Dakota even down to the winds and snow. In fact for the last 3 weeks weather in the Rapid City/Black Hills area has been 5 to 10 degrees warmer.

And I can probably say the same thing for the National Guard, we know where they live. If it ever gets to the point like Australia, where the police go after PEACEFUL PROTESTERS and old men and ladies, I don’t think it will be long before they go after the families of the police when they are at work. It may sound cruel to say that but when you are at war everything goes into play. Police officers worrying about their families and homes while they are at work is a great deterrent for them to act against us. Prior to Pearl Harbor or thereabouts one of the options discussed by the Japanese planners was an invasion of the United States with ground troops. After consideration the plan was scrapped because too many American civilians were armed and a physical invasion of Japanese soldiers was wisely scraped.
The atomic bombing of japan was to save millions of lives including our American soldiers had there been a ground invasion by American troops instead of breaking the will of Japan by the two horrific atom bombs dropped.
Japan did invade the Aleutian Islands with troops and it was a disaster for Japan.

What are people doing to stand up to Tyranny? I am not wearing a mask, I live in a Texas city that decided to implement its own mask mandate even though the state does not have one. Several times we were walking through Loews and other people pull off their mask when they see us without one. I will not shop anywhere if I have to wear a mask. Ag Paxton just got the mask mandate stopped for now, hopefully the city will realize that have better ways to spend our money than on court cases against the state. I had a back-up plan for my move just in case the weather is a bit weird at the end of October. It was to have a car hauler take my car from Oregon to South Dakota & I’d fly.
Then I realized flying with guns is not easy. Now add in all the craziness the Globalist are trying to do with our guns, I’ve decided that driving my own car with my guns is the only option.
In South Dakota you are legally allowed to pump your own gas! I’m not sure at what elevation you’ll be living but you’ll be driving at high elevations to get to South Dakota. I went from South Carolina to Wyoming in 1997 via automobile and I had a terrible time with the 85 octane gas that they sell at higher elevations. My car backfired, stalled and pinged but I was able to drive OK on the Interstate, slowing down on hills so I could make room in the gas tank for higher octane fuel. I was able to guess what the problem was. The next time I filled up with gas I skipped the 87 octane I usually use and used whatever the highest was, ran out the tank and then used 87 octane from there on out with no problems. https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/octane.shtml

If I go this route I think there might be a change in elevation but no real major passes.

Well for about 7 weeks, every futball stadium in Britain (and all of Europe) have been packed full of as many as 80,000 screaming, singing, cheering, fans … all packed in like sardines … with no masks.
Have you heard of a single “super spreader” outbreak of the COVID traced to the stadiums? Nope. And the pubs are filled, before and after matches, and the streets are filled (think ANTIFA/BLM riots).
It’s not a perfect metric … but I suggest this reveals the FRAUD of the FEAR campaign waged across the world. Manipulated data. Cherry-picked stats. Broad, useless, generalized stats … such as “cases”

Manitoba, Canada, more restrictions aimed directly at the unvaxxed. Now if any church, wedding or anything else has someone unvaxxed, they are limited to 25 people total. Unvaxxed in your house? You can only have one other household visit yours. This just before Canadian Thanksgiving thereby meaning no holiday get togethers with family for the unvaxxed. Stores ect now down to 25% percent capacity. Many doctors are now announcing no treatment for the unvaxxed. There were additional special lockdown measures introduced for a rural municipality that has very low vaccination rates due to a very large percentage of old order Mennonites.
I had a long discussion with an unvaxxed friend. We are seriously thinking of moving to the USA. My wife is an American citizen. The noose is tightening here. If we don’t leave soon we won’t get out at all. Coming soon no inter provincial travel and no public transport including airplanes. The land border to the USA is still closed. We’d have to leave everything behind and fly out. At our age that would be really hard especially leaving the dogs and cats. We live on a fixed pension and would have no health insurance. Our home is comfy and we’re well stocked and pretty much independent of the grid and the rest of the world here. If I knew they would just leave us alone I’d be fine but I think rounding up the unvaxxed is coming.

Here’s a small example of the type of person currently embracing tyranny and authortarinism. I’m currently living in a work release facility in Florida, to finish out my last month’s of incarceration. Well I’m fully out in society and working and enjoying my new freedom. However, a situation this morning brought to light the full scope of the impact of covid fascism and fear mongering pushed on the citizens in my fairly free state of Florida.
We utilize the city bus for transportation to and from work, and as of late the bus drivers are becoming increasingly aggressive in enforcing masks for all who ride. Now, this morning the bus came to pick up about 40 of us in the morning as usual. Well this new driver stood up and demanded our attention so she could give her speech about masks. Then she became very aggressive as all the passengers said we are aware (everyone was masked and in compliance) and this long winded speech could potentially cause some to be late to work. Well now she is now upset because apparently 3 bus drivers had died from covid and we are being inconsiderate. And THEN she said if anyone was seen with out their mask worn properly she would be calling her supervisor and the jacksonville sheriff’s office, which would result in that person being sent back to prison to finish their sentence. (Any contact with law enforcement results in a violation and expulsion of the Work Release facility. Now all this while she’s wearing a “Jesus loves you” masks. This is a small example of the MSM brainwashing this people, to the point where this “Christian” woman would knowing set someone up to go back to prison for “not wearing a mask properly.”
That is frightening, Guess that the brainwashing is going on better than I thought possible. ??
