The state government is monitoring COVID compliance via cell phones, geolocation and random inquires to check the status of citizen compliance. Yes, there’s now an app for that. An “app”? The term sounds so innocuous; and they are proud, publicly proud, of the system they are putting in place.

It’s my understanding that any cell phone can be tracked even if you have no Internet access; i.e., tracking is done via GPS which is currently built into all cell phones. Also makes no difference whether the phone is turned on or off.
