The Associated Press attempted a hit piece on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over his promotion for monoclonal antibody treatment for early stage COVID recovery. The treatment from Regeneron was purchased by the federal government in January of 2021. However, the AP attempted to claim a small investor in Regeneron was also a supporter of Ron DeSantis…. the implication was a quid-pro-quo.
The attempt was so weak, so lacking of substance and silly, that few additional media attempted to join the AP in their narrative. Even the far-left politifact had to call out the Fake News. After the AP refused to clear the record and drop the nonsense, Governor Ron DeSantis and his spokesperson, Christina Pushaw, unleashed on the AP in a similar way they crushed a similar 60-Minutes effort earlier in the year.
Ms. Pushaw simply re-tweeted the AP story and said “drag them” to her followers and DeSantis supporters. The Associated Press is not used to having the MAGA army take action and start ridiculing them. New rules...
After the AP and their narrative engineer started to get push-back for their fake news narrative, the Associated Press executives clutched their pearls and started crying, documenting their complaint to the Governors office:

Salty tears…

As my kids would say, “cry about it.”
The AP? It’s still around?
Well if they report actual news in Afghanistan it would hurt their boy and girl not Desantis who could well end up replacing their boy in 2024. Cant have that.
I thought they went the way of the powdered wig.
Awful Propaganda is still pumping out fake news every day…. Because the MSM still pays for professionally fabricated fake news besides creating their own..
?? AWFUL PROPAGANDA
Sums it up perfectly.
Some years ago, I was noticing AP stories that would change throughout the day as they shaped the news. This wasn’t an update to a story, it was stealthy editing of the story removing quotes from Republicans, and adding quotes from Democrats, without any notice that the original article had been changed.
It was blatant on one particular article about the Senate. I kept the original article open in one tab, then copied the URL to another tab that I refreshed over a few hours time.
The early version of the article had several quotes from various Republican Senators, and maybe a quote from one from a Democrat.
By the end of the day, all quotes from Republicans had been removed, and several more added by Democrats, and the entire story had changed. The web address and the headline never changed, and there was no notice posted it had been updated.
AP has done this repeatedly on numerous news topics.
I have never previously read about anyone taking the time to observe and provide the details of that kind of progressive /disingenuous editing. That’s pretty interesting. Do you still have copies of each iteration of the story?
I may. I will have to check email. It was so shockingly biased and stealthy that anyone at any point would not notice how they were changing the narrative to benefit Democrats.
I found one example. I had other examples of Dick Cheney criticizing Harry Reid over budget costs, but cannot find both of the original articles to show the changes.
The most egregious changes were in articles by Ann Flaherty, Julie Hirschfield and Nedra Pickler.
This example of stealth edit is an article by AP. The second entry below that is where AP vastly changed the story because it did not make Boxer look good enough. As you can see, these were not minor edits to make corrections. These were serious updates to articles because some Democrat was butthurt over the initial reporting.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – After meeting with wounded Marines, first lady Michelle Obama told thousands of troops and their families Sunday that she is launching a national challenge to Americans to find ways to support them.
Since her husband took office, Obama has been visiting bases across the country as part of her mission to improve the quality of life for military families. She called Camp Pendleton and the surrounding Southern California cities a model for community support of troops.
But California Republicans called the event a publicity stunt to help Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., who is running for a fourth term and has been criticized by opponents for not doing enough to support troops. President Barack Obama flew to California last month to support Boxer’s fundraising efforts for her campaign.
The first lady said she came to Camp Pendleton for a simple reason: “To help the rest of our country better understand and appreciate the incredible service of you and your families, and to make sure your voices are heard back in Washington and that your needs are met.”
Boxer spoke only minutes to the crowd of about 3,500 troops and families, telling them how President Obama’s economic recovery act provided funding to build a new hospital that will replace the 36-year-old facility on base, and gave money toward a new child care center.
She thanked the military wives who met with her, saying: “Some of my best ideas that have led to legislation for mental health benefits, compensation, etc. These have come from you directly.”
Legislation proposed by Boxer recently provided money for a new wounded care treatment facility in San Diego and treatment for burn victims in San Antonio, Texas.
Republican rival, Carly Fiorina has challenged Boxer’s legislative record on supporting the troops. The former Hewlett-Packard CEO tried to fire up the GOP base by showing a widely played video clip of the longtime senator reprimanding a general for calling her “ma’am” at a Senate hearing last year.
Her campaign manager called Boxer’s appearance at Camp Pendleton rich in irony.
“The bottom line is that Barbara Boxer has shown a total disregard for our men and women in uniform, and her record on security issues is, to put it generously, dismal,” Fiorina’s deputy campaign manager, Julie Soderlund, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
“Today, she’s getting some help yet again from the Obamas in an attempt to try to mask that over. But the facts are the facts. And the facts bite, especially for those who put their lives on the line every day to protect this great nation.”

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – After meeting with wounded Marines, first lady Michelle Obama told thousands of troops and their families Sunday that she is launching a national challenge for every American to find ways to make life easier for the families of those fighting U.S. wars.
Since her husband took office, Obama has been visiting bases across the country as part of her mission to help military families. She called Camp Pendleton and the surrounding Southern California cities a model for community support of troops.
But California Republicans called the event a publicity stunt to help Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, who is running for a fourth term and has been criticized by opponents for not doing enough to support troops. President Barack Obama has flown to California twice in recent months to help the imperiled
incumbent’s fundraising efforts.
Boxer and U.S. Rep. Susan Davis, D-Calif. accompanied Obama during her visit to the San Diego-area base on a sunny afternoon.
The first lady told the crowd of 3,500 troops and their families that she came to Camp Pendleton for a simple reason: “To help the rest of our country better understand and appreciate the incredible service of you and your families, and to make sure your voices are heard back in Washington and that your needs are met.”
Obama began focusing on the needs of military families during the 2008 presidential campaign as the country fought two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and service members and their loved ones
endured multiple deployments to the combat zones.
President Obama has proposed millions of dollars more for counseling, support services and military child care in his 2011 budget. Aides justified the spending on military families by saying their welfare is an important part of U.S. national security.
Marine Sgt. Keyonna Adkins, a single mother, said she could use the help.
The 23-year-old has struggled to find day care for her 3-year-old son. The base had such a long waiting list for its day care center, she finally went to a private one in nearby Oceanside, where she pays high rates.
“It’s good there are a lot of programs, but we need day care,” Adkins said.
Obama praised nearby Fallbrook, whose chamber of commerce offers Marines the chance at an all-expense paid wedding package, and also lauded Oceanside, which has an “Appreciation Day” for
troops. She said many cities in the area adopt Marine units and send the troops care packages.
“I want the whole country to be inspired by what is happening here in Southern California,” Obama said.
Boxer spoke only minutes to the crowd, telling them how the president’s economic recovery act provided funding to build a new hospital that will replace the 36-year-old facility on base, and gave
money toward a new child care center.
She thanked the military wives who met with her, saying: “Some of my best ideas that have led to legislation for mental health benefits, compensation, etc. These have come from you directly.”
Legislation supported by Boxer recently provided $7 million for a Naval medical center in San Diego and another bill she co-sponsored gave $10.9 million for treatment for burn victims at a military facility in San Antonio, Texas.
Republican rival Carly Fiorina has challenged Boxer’s legislative record on the military, and the former Hewlett-Packard CEO has tried to fire up the GOP base by circulating a video clip of the longtime senator reprimanding a general for calling her “ma’am” at a Senate hearing last year.
Fiorina’s campaign manager called Boxer’s appearance at Camp Pendleton rich in irony.
And the facts bite, especially for those who put their lives on the line everyday to protect this great nation.”
This is one version of the article above still available on the net. I didn’t compare them to see if it was the original or the updated version.
https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-michelle-obama-speaks-to-camp-pendleton-troops-2010jun13-story.html
Oh yes. All the emotion-touching “great things done by Obama” were added in to change focus and load up more positive spin.
Great example, thanks.
Treepers, this post by Republicanvet91 should be required reading for everyone to see firsthand how the AP Marxists “juice up” an article when the original version doesn’t generate enough positive feedback for the DemoFascists.
Thanks GB. Just something I noticed over the years.
I tried searching on a much worse example, “Dick Cheney criticizes Harry Reid”. I found the original text of the article reposted on some obscure comment board, but could not find links to the original by Ann Flaherty.
I went to Apnews. Com and searched on the same words.
Their search engine offers a pop-up list of topics including Dick Cheney, Larry Reid and Harry Reid. Each can be selected individually.
When selecting Dick Cheney, the results are no AP stories found.
When selecting Harry Reid, there are multiple current and older AP articles on Harry Reid.
The black art of propaganda in journalism seems to be something at which our current MSM is highly skilled. Apparently when a younger, less skilled journalist publishes a story that their editor doesn’t scrutinize too carefully, there are “masters” who later take the journeyman writer’s work and polish it up to align with or generate the required narrative for readers, truth or facts being unimportant in the process.
You’ve performed a valuable service to readers here. Hope you and other Treepers can find more blatant examples of this and can publish links when possible.
That’s because the CIA has completely penetrated the reporting apparatus of AP among others.
Did the CIA also have an office in that building with AP and the Jihad? The one the reduced to rubble?
As thousands of Americans lives are in peril in Kabul.
That’s where the Washington Times gets all it’s news
Yes, “Associated Pravda”
Yay, Gov. DeSantis!!!
Screw Them!!! Love this!!!!
Exactly Barnabus! Gimme some o’them mean tweets every day and twice on Sunday!!
Amen!
Snow flakes! I hope this is one of many MAGA push-backs to come.
Oh “muh feelings” when the chickens come home to roost.
The AP is accusing Pushaw of behaviors it and other news organizations have both condoned and been complicit in. Corporate media regularly uses Twitter to conduct targeted harassment and doxxing campaigns against political opposition and corporate competitors.
Alinsky Rule: Accuse your opponent of that which you, yourself, are guilty of.
Dear AP. Up yours with a rubber hose. Strong letter to follow. Enjoy the soy.
I hope DeSantis calls a press conference. Sits the ap right up front. Pulls Ms. pushaw up to the podium I. Front of all to see and gives her a promotion!
Love me some Florida sunshine and pushback – especially on the monolith bully “oppressed press” guru, the AP.
Time to fight back against the false narratives generated by the 5th columnists pretending to be journalists.
Shocked “Daisy” didn’t draw a heart and smiley face under her signature.
Screw fake news media,?
Desantis and his team have learned one of the most essential lessons from Trump…the media hares us and hates everything we hold dear. Fight them with the truth and no pity. They will never like you.
“Pshaw”—say it ain’t so, AP!
You and your ilk have imposed “mental health consequences” on me and mine for decades, to say nothing of the last 18 months.
Ass-hat Press.
“This is unacceptable behavior from a government employee, especially one whose job it is to work with the media and communicate with the public.”
The “media” refused to retract a lie, so PS Pushaw communicated with the public.
Sundance is correct. These arrogant outfits are not used to pushback against their hogwash.
Well, after all, the Republicans have been kow-towing to them forever! They’re just not used to “the horrible stress!”
Daisy should be lighting up her fake reporters doing fake news if she wants it to stop.
Really!
deleted
a model for action has been blue ribboned!!!
another political victory for desantis!!
this is how you win.
you wanna poke the bear, step right up!!
the beauty of this is that it does not violate ANY free press protections…
if a press can unleash unproven drivel to stunt the political power of a governor, a potential president, then it seems to me it’s all fair play to
FIND EVERY SINGLE SKELETON IN THE CLOSET ABOUT THAT SO CALLED REPORTER AND OPEN UP WITH ALL BARRELS!
80 plus million maga voters you say?
I would say it would only take 10,000 dedicated researchers to dive into some homework and start releasing the kraken about many of these reporters.
You’re right.
And this is how the Right would do it, they’d find the REAL trash.
NOT just make stuff up whole cloth and smear people w/ outright LIES.
My local “newspaper” has carried every freaking article the AP has printed during the plandemic, the selection, etc. As far as I know, the AP has never retracted the fake Lancet report on hydrochloroquinoline despite the fact that Lancet itself withdrew the paper.
Blood pressure has not been an issue for me until I started reading the AP articles with a very jaundiced eye. Had to stop reading then. When I saw this AP article, I muttered “I’ll read something AP it will have to be with a headline such as “Nancy Pelosi and husband making trillions on insider trading.”
Thank You for the pushback on this “reporter” who looks like she’s all of 20 years old. But I guess she got her degree in journalism! Use as many adjectives as possible so that no one comprehends your article has no information that you gathered with your own research, etc. Also when Andyou work for the AP every word you write must paint every conservative in the nation not toe-ing the propaganda line as a POS. I’d love that both of these crybabies have finally felt the sting of their lies right back at them.
I’ve got a nest of ground bees under a thyme plant I can send them for some real medicine.
New Rules for the left, there are no rules. Got that!
Like Bongino says “We need to play by the same set of rules, the set the progressives have laid out. Hence there are no rules.”
Hope you’re feeling better and stronger, regitiger!
I appreciate that!!
God Bless America
I would say “If you want to poke the alligator” step right up.
Poor, poor AP trash.
As usual, the AP expected they were punching a bop bag, but this time they got head butted and are still seeing stars.
My advice?
1. Put some ice on the boo boo.
2. Check for concussion
3. If you have an aversion to pushback when you lie and smear, go back to telemarketing.
Tears of a Crybully, when there’s no one left to lie to.
Love Mollie Hemingway! New Love–Christina Pushaw!
All well and good.
Meanwhile this government has lied, stole, used private companies to remove speech, murdered its citizens and left thousands to defend themselves in a foreign land while it imports illegal foreigners into our interior.
Apparently it’s still not enough for citizens to drag 535 to the Potomac.
AP snowflakes can dish it out but they sure can’t take it.
Wonder how many on the AP payroll were being paid to troll Trump’s twit account when he had one.
Lordy, you’d have to scroll thru 200 unhinged Lib comments before you could even get to the sane people comments.
So schools that refuse to put diapers on their face in Florida are considered threats to America while those (many) in Illinois who are refusing are on probation.
That letter from MS Daisy at the AP is a joke and she should consider the actual physical harm many people have went thru because of the AP and she can’t take what they feverishly dish out.
One key thing to point out is the claim in the letter that journalists should not be treated like this. Don’t let that statement stand on these grounds. You are not journalists just propagandists and so you should be treated as such. Never let their claim that they are journalists go unchallenged.
The constitution says nowhere that the press are either above contempt or beneath it.
Say, weren’t AP the ones colluding with the FBlies during the Russia hoax?
Now these drivel monkeys want to whinge about attacks on journalists?
First they’d have to employ some for their petulant whining to have any relevance. All their current employees are leftardulent propagandists and Biden Junta stenographers. No one cares about that sort of scum.
The AP:
……..”This type of harassing behavior can cause great harm.”………
You mean like calling Trump supporters “racists, bullies, terrorists”, etc. for the past 6 years.
Harm like that? The kind that tears a whole country up? The kind that is DESIGNED to tear a whole country up? THAT kind of harm?
GFY
the reporter is
BRENDAN FARRINGTON
he has a long history spouting gun control…chiming in on his obvious credentials of c19 /sarc…and is the typical orange man bad social justice puke…
so this wasn’t just retaliation to a nitwit who got his facts screwed up.
this reporter has a focused agenda!!! who screwed up his facts to fix a false narrative, got paid by so for the hit piece, and refused to correct his work and AP refused to as well.
so it’s particularly important to note his background and his agenda…
Thankyou for that info.
DeSantis held a round table meeting with the heads of several hospitals and healthcare organizations in Florida several weeks ago. During that meeting he asked about their experience with Regeneron in their institutions.
Good thing he had that meeting. One or two appeared not to be well-acquainted with Regeneron. For some, the meeting was an educational session.
the time the meeting ended, the participants knew that early intervention in COVID is key. Regeneron is authorized for use in early intervention. The federal government, the WHO, and some professional organizations have done their best to suppress cheap repurposed drugs for early intervention. We are left with Regeneron. Use it.
AND IT’S FREE!! another point “missed” by the so hit piece.
Florida has achieved THE HIGHEST VACCINATION RECORD FOR THOSE OVER 60…that also seems to get ignored.
having said that, if Israel data and UK data are reliable (I believe both are reliable), former vaccines may not be effective against delta.
as a consequence, the FORWARD LOOKING STRATEGIC MIND OF A GOVERNOR IN FULL COMMAND OF HIS POWER AND FACULTIES has already staged a very dependable contingency therapy for those that are likely to get sick …
the AP article ALSO omits the fact that desantis has gotten the funding to start up 4 (possibly more) regeneron drug manufacturing facilities IN FLORIDA and those are expected to be live and capable by this fall…This intelligence to have that capacity near and under his state control and not servant slave to some foreign producer is again, expert level strategy.
I admire desantis…alot…
and besides that…if fauci ncan make millions hawking a vaccine other doesn’t work for a virus he helped create…it would not bother me one damned bit if desantis is taken care of very well for building something that’s going to save alot of lives and give better quality of life to those stricken by this bug…
THAT seems to be the real problem isn’t it??
that desantis is about to realize a success that works against this bug, that so far the world’s best and so called brightest have failed!
We will come a lot closer to herd immunity if COVID spreads and is treated early to minimize the harm.
DeSantis has a sign that goes on the front of his podium. It says, “Early Treatment Saves Lives”.
Yes, it does. Preach it, Governor.
Naturally acquired immunity should outdo leaky vaccines.
Especially when they are not vaccines at all. They are genetic modifiers that modify the human genome.
Why on God’s earth would anyone want to modify billions of peoples DNA?
A study of the Jesuit illuminati and the also the freemasons might be “illuminating”. I find it interesting that bill gates is a high level member of the freemasons. He has also been to Jeffery epstien’s pedofile island in the carribbean eight or nine times
Also nimrod who built the tower of bable and the city of babelon is worth a look. It all ties together.
The best we deplorables can do is to be sure that our own houses are in order when the end comes. As for me and my house, we will serve the lord.
There should be an apostrophe in the word “people’s”. Sorry to the English majors in the group.
Ted
Works with communism too.
Yup, it’s called the Red Pill….
So the AP runs a hit piece aimed at DeSantis for promoting a COVID treatment provided by the federal government, implying corruption because a DeSantis supporter happened to be an investor
in the pharmaceutical company manufacturing the treatment. Then, they have the cajones to complain about “mean tweets” from the Governor’s Press Secretary for calling for clarification from the so-called author of the story and focusing attention on the matter by DeSantis supporters? What a bunch of whiners! Do a better job vetting your stories and you won’t have to worry about mean tweets!
the same investor (and black rock coincidentally) who own more shares of the two mRNA vaccines too!
the AP reporter “failed’ to mention that in his comic book.
Or
If the AP feels this type of relationship is so bad why have they not talked about:
Biden and Tom Donilison’s wife and daughter?
Or, the many connections between MSNBC, CNN, and Fox and those in the RNC and DNC?
Or, the connections btwn election officials / state officials from Colorado and Dominion.
precisely.
the Corruptors as their primary playbook instructs, will always attack others FALSELY and conceal they and their own are deep into that very same corruption.
but that tactic is wearing thin on voters…
as stated earlier one of the highest priorities of stage 3 is that ALL corruption with facts to understand it must be communicated to a majority…
I believe THIS TEAM TREEHOUSE is well suited and equipped to focus on uncovering all of that corruption, publishing it, and informing.as many as possible.
everyone needs to know the scale of corruption.
we can’t leave this up to DOJ obviously…or even state police…or any regulator… forget congress, they are the main criminal cabal.
this becomes a hard point …one that each citizen can understand…and rally behind.
our central state has become corrupt because the people don’t know what to do about it…
the answer is to get people physically emotionally involved to recognize this corruption is at the center of nearly ever single breakdown to our lives, economy, and future.
God Bless America
AP reporters were spied on by the Obama Police State.
And they still volunteered to act as pro bono detectives for Andrew Weissman’s Police State Frame-Up of others.
Drag them.
Drag them by the hair and tar them in the streets!
Well … I was going to drag them by something else but “hairs” good ?
? I like your thinking but Marxist trash have no balls
This headline cracked me up. Thanks.
God bless.
Dear AP:
Tough titties.
You reap what you sow.
You mean like Maxine Waters did? “You see them out, you get in their faces, you get a mob, and you tell them they’re not WANTED anywhere…”. You mean like that kind of incitement? Or the zillion other examples of it by the Democrats and their PAC, the media? Good job, keep this up.
Pretty amazing that Florida has a program in place to treat the Corona in vaxxed and unvaxxed with Regeneron. That is the kind of thing every state should do for their citizens.
some do have it…but not nearly the scale being set up by Florida!!
my prediction: this fall a rather large cottage industry will pop up that will have sick folks traveling to Florida for regeneron treatment.
it’s quite possible.
then when the outcomes become known with the expected successes, there will be the highest pressure on all states to duplicate..
and that means. FINALLY the focus will be on treating the disease with therapies that save lives and lessen the disease symptoms and long effects.
regeneron will likely lead to paradigm shift away from vaccines toward therapy..and then more about prevention through simple, easy, effective drugs like HCQ and ivermectin!
I am certain Florida will lead the way…desantis is in full command and he has cleared all the hurdles for state officials and health providers to get after it.
No, for God’s sake not the journalists. They are America’s 4th column the keeper of truth. I’m being facetious I’m sure most understand. It’s such an important role tho. I am reading CTH the one place I feel like I can trust to give it to me straight.
Our institutions and govt could have never made it to this place had the media followed through. They really were supposed to be the keeper of the flame. Unfortunately they were bought off and/or manipulated a long time ago. This puts us in perilous times. What should happen to traitors who have sold out their countrymen? I guess time will reveal that.
Anyone taking notes? A fine tutorial.
Every. Single. Time. Whenever the media gets serious push-back on their manipulation and lies trying to destroy others, they play the victim.
Grow the F up! These clowns want to throw bombs, but whine when they throw one with a short fuse.
“…They’re going to hate the new rules.
Now, the old rule for us conservatives was that businesses could do pretty much whatever they pleased, with minimal regulation, if they focused on maximizing profit and thereby rained benefits down upon society in the form of wealth and job creation. It was a good system, but, like all systems, to get benefits you have to meet certain obligations. For businesses, one obligation was to generally stay out of the cultural and political octagon.
But the Woke Weenies of Silicon Valley, flush with cash, power, and unearned smugness, decided that they just couldn’t keep on the sidelines and make their money. No, they had to make change, as in, changing us. They violated the most important of the old rules – they chose a side. In the past, when a company or even an industry crossed the line, it rarely made much difference. So some insurance company was outspokenly progressive? So what? The one exception was the mainstream media/Hollywood complex – its actions were extremely annoying (and destructive), but it had the First Amendment to protect it and we conservatives had alternate channels to get our ideas across.
Not so with the Googles, the Facebooks, and the Twitters. Their antics are not necessarily protected by the First Amendment, their internet monopolies choke out alternative channels, and, unlike the line-crossers of the past, they possess enormous amounts of personal information that can be used to manipulate, intimidate, and punish political opponents – you know, us. Worse, their leaders are evangelists of cultural Marxism, so these companies don’t even have the fig leaf of objectivity that the mainstream media has (or had) to constrain them.
Yet they still expect the same laissez-faire treatment as any other business even as they try to gut us politically. They discriminate against conservatives, they actively assist leftist partisans like Felonia von Pantsuit, and they aggressively silence conservative voices within their apps. They imagine that they can adopt new rules for themselves while keeping in place the old rules that prevent us from defending ourselves because of “free enterprise” or something.
Nah.
See, what leftists do not get is that principles are part of systems. Principles do not stand alone; they are nested within a system and together they make it function smoothly. Our system isn’t some cultural cafeteria where you load up your plate with the principles you like and hard pass on the principles you don’t. If you decide you don’t want to play your part in the system, you shouldn’t be shocked when the other participants make the same decision. “Free enterprise” means “enterprise generally free of government control,” and it’s stunning that the Silicon Valley people we hear are so smart don’t foresee that when their “enterprise” morphs into a partisan political campaign the people on the other side of the spectrum are going to leverage their own political power in response.
There’s sometimes a moment when a system is unstable because one participant has changed the rules, but the other side hasn’t yet reacted – like the period after feminism demanded total female social equality with men, but men still generally picked up the check. That imbalance cannot persist forever; eventually the people on the other side feel like suckers, so they stop playing by the old rules. That’s when the new rules arise. And that’s why conservatives now need to savagely regulate companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. We need to use our political power in Congress and red state legislatures to incentivize Silicon Valley to return to a system where its companies embrace political and cultural neutrality, or suffer crippling consequences.
Yeah, I know that heavily regulating private businesses is not “free enterprise,” but I don’t care. See, “free enterprise” is a bargain, and they didn’t keep their part of it, and I see no moral obligation for us to be played for saps and forgo using our political power to protect our interests in the face of them using theirs to disembowel us. I liked the old rules better – a free enterprise system confers huge benefits – but it was the left that chose to nuke them. …
Not exactly old school conservatism, right? Well, it’s not exactly old school America. Too bad. We liked the old system, but you tech twerps decided to change it. So be it. Too bad that, for some reason, you thought we wouldn’t change too.
Like I always say, you’re going to hate the new rules.”…….
I certainly hope so.
Kurt Schlichter wrote that brilliant column four years ago. We didn’t understand even then just how thoroughly the system had been corrupted from top to bottom by these bottom-feeder Oligarchs.
And they’ve only grown more fascistic over that time, even funding Gain-of-Function mad science and bribing election judges. In addition to doing the Regime’s censorship, spying on Americans for profit, silencing doctors and world-class scientists and the workaday business fraud.
Rest in the Vine: “Conservatives Must Regulate Google And All of Silicon Valley
Into Submission” by Col. Kurt Schlichter
THEY CAN’T BE TRUSTED, BUT THEY CAN BE ANTI-TRUSTED.
Not here, of course, but in a country with the Rule of Law.
That’s good stuff Gip. At the time he wrote that I have a feeling KS had no idea what was coming. Yeah it was always slanted in big tech same for big media BUT….Did anyone think they would actually kick off the POTUS? Lol actually yes we probably all thought it was possible not that I lament on the matter. Come to think of it, do you think PDJT didn’t have his doubts too?
So here’s the damn question. I get wrapped up so much in what the left is doing. Is it mastermind or clusterf$$$??? So what about Trump? Was he actually so self absorbed that he didn’t have a contingency plan? Did he think there’s absolutely no way they (Twitter & FB) would have booted him? He would have had to have very high expectations of himself (ego) so to speak.
So there’s a great talking point IMHO. What do Treepers think? If you want my thoughts I can tell you it’s hard for me to believe PDT would have been caught off balance by the censorship. Perhaps that’s because I want to believe and I’m biased? Do you think he knew it was coming and played possum or do you think he was blindsided?
Answer these questions and it will tell you all you need to know about where we are heading I suppose. I guess if Trump literally got cut off at the knees it doesn’t mean we have to be. Its very hard to figure out. Same with 1/6 in how he didn’t know what the FBI had planned? It’s almost the same question in a sense.
Good luck figuring it out. I am hopeful he knew most of what was coming. Getting a sense that he indeed did.
Where were the AP “reporters” when citizen attendees were being threatened, isolatated, and egged, etc. at Trump rallies? I venture to say those experiences caused far more “mental health” issues than some lousy propagandist “reporter” getting a bit of their own back!
Awesome, love this gal!! Go go go!!!
AP, the epitome of questionable journalism and fake news, got its feelings hurt, when called out after a bogus hit piece on Governor DeSantis. Always amazing, when sleaze balls, complain for being called sleaze balls.
Once again, proving what utter cowards and hypocrites the media are. They can dish it out, but they absolutely can’t take it.
The media in this country are have less utility and contribution to humanity than mosquitos. And at least mosquitos are food for other insects.
