Here’s something completely different. I was in two local establishments yesterday. One, a food store, had 2 obviously newly imported Indios ahead of me in line yapping away in Spanish. Only one could interact with the cashier.
The next was at Tractor Supply. The 2 Indios there split up, one in front of me, one behind me. Both had armloads of new clothing. Neither spoke any English. The cashier started spouting Spanish at the one in front of me and they went on and on and on forever. The line was nearly to the back of the store. I finally interrupted in French and told the b!tch she had a line out the door to hurry it up. She got done with Indio #1 and I never once spoke to her in English, only French. As I left I told her people spoke other languages than just Spanish in case she was too stupid to know that.

Just a thought, if you had a President as a puppet would you jeopardise that arrangement by making your puppet look like a complete idiot so early on in his term? Seems a possible explanation is that the PRC realised Biden was toast and have decided to cash in and get as much as they can, from their asset, before he’s gone.
The Chinese play a long game so to expend such a valuable asset for not much, in relation to the assets overall worth, does not seem the usual practice. Yes, you have access to top-flight US military assets (guess those boxes of kit being shipped now have big red bows on them for Xi to personally cut), greater control of the heroin and meth supplies, greater access to minerals and security for future energy requirements and humiliation of the US, but you have seriously weakened your puppets ability to deliver long term. I know this sounds a bit like the Monty Python, ‘What have the Romans ever done for us?’ sketch but with Biden in their thrall they could have got a lot more bank for their buck.
This ‘analysis’ does assume that Biden’s tenure is coming to end, so a final question. Can he survive? If my wife’s US friends are any sort of litmus test then the scales are being lifted pretty quickly, watching this morning news.
