“Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” – Indeed – now imagine your soul feeling that while your body is and has been torn, pierced and broken.
I doubt whether anything like that sentiment would even begin to enter any one of our minds at that point . Personally, I’d be having some much darker thoughts aimed at my tormentors, around that time.
Stuff about their entire families, and all manner of plagues and bad luck. In short, I;d be putting the fear of God into them, anyhow I could.
So, the only logical question would be – WHY.
IMO, it is easy to just dismiss such “natural” sentiment as – O He was the Christ, the Son of God, so basically it was easy. Everything about that “observation” screams FALSE to me – because for me that moment captures the essence and almost the highest form of purity and holiness – I imagine at that moment, Jesus and God, were in a sence – ONE.
I believe we OWE it to our Lord, to at least ATTEMPT to help carry that suffering, to at least attempt to LIVE the kindness, humility, honor, and ultimately obedience?, and to understand just WHY and how powerful THAT almost impossible display of love/forgiveness/mercy is to both this world (in the physical) AND more importantly in the “heavens”. Students and learners of Kabbalah, even those with just a basic “understanding” of the concept (or think they have) will begin to perceive that there is a “link” between “action” here in the physical and “action” as it were, in what we are just scratching at in the field of Quantum. I can smell a link here – and hopefully one day all the mystics, gurus, rastas, spiritualists, religious, holy and scientific folk can all enjoy one big “theory of everything” party. Joke is though, the science folk are going to have to eat humble pie – it was all explained thousands of years ago. JUST FOLLOW THE RULES.

The Word, the breath of God’s mouth, came to Earth to cause a division among mankind. There would be a (S)WORD separating those who believed God from those who did not believe. Those who truly hear the Word experience a spiritual rebirth, are born ‘again’, ‘from above’. They hear Jesus tell us that we ourselves can forgive sins! When we begin to attempt this, a real battle rages inside the person trying to reach full forgiveness of another after one has been terribly hurt by them. Each must enter the Valley of Jezreel, the ‘Valley of Decision’, as the persecuted Jeremiah declares.
Each one who passes through this testing successfully has then become more like God. God is Love, John says. Jesus forgave. Jesus is One with the Father. If we remain in the Word, we enjoy communion (Oneness) with the Father and Son.
God is a Spirit. Paul says that being spiritually reborn, born of the Spirit, brings us into the family of God; we are then made after God’s likeness. But being so re-birthed, we must grow beyond only milk of the Word and get into the meat of the Word. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Even though I’m dyslexic and a very slow reader, I’ve always loved books and loved reading. When I was a kid I lived in my local Andrew Carnegie Library. I loved that place. It was quiet and I could spend as much time there as I wanted slowly reading the books that I loved. I didn’t realize it at the time but, in spite of being a poor student, I gained an important education in that library.
One thing I learned there is that there are some books that become special to you. I’ve always treasured those kinds of books. A number of years ago I came across a very special book by Joseph Monninger. Home Waters is small story about a fishing trip the author takes with his beloved yellow Lab Nellie. I think what I enjoy most about his writing is his wonderful imagery, at once loving and wise about his relationship with a wonderful companion. Here’s a passage I especially like.
“I put my fly-rod up and found a comfortable spot to watch the stars come out. Nellie came to sit beside me. I scooted around and put my head on her back, using her for a headrest, but she didn’t seem to mind. Cold air swept above us, yet near the ground it did not feel too bad. We watched the planets appear, then the stars. The sky grew darker until each star stood out, white against black against the gray of the mountaintops. Nellie remained stationary, only her nose sniffing into the wind. She did not budge for an hour, and by that time the stars had eaten into the blackness, shuddering white in a cold sky.”

Lived in books as a kid, and beyond, would not be the least educated without ’em, was a horrible student, my brain kinda turned off sitting still upright, literally too big for my skull.
One’s mind creates a minutely textured tapestry of new realities that frankly the mental imagery from books is almost always more profound and moving than subsequent efforts to create a movie can manage. Reading is a gift.
Oddly, despite being dyslexic, every job I’ve ever had involved writing. Like you. school just didn’t work for me. Fortunately, libraries did. I taught myself how to write by studying the masters.
Monninger thought his lab was soon to die of cancer and so he wanted to make one last fishing trip with her. Home Waters does a good job of balancing the sadness and beauty of a last trip. Happily, on returning home, Monninger took Nellie to their vet for a check-up. The lumps he thought were cancerous turned out to be benign and Nellie, already an elderly dog, remained with him for sometime to come.
Well, here in Australia, in the state of Victoria, things are back to “normal”.
In a couple of hours at 8pm local time we are entering lockdown 6.0.
We have 8 (eight) cases, as determined by PCR test, and 6 ml people are not allowed out of their homes.
Usually the lockdown starts at 12 am, but this time they made a point of starting it earlier, so that “people wouldn’t congregate in big groups” before it starts.

Basically, they have the right to control and profit from their work. Or they sold that right and somebody else has it. And they harass those who would deprive them. Including those who would profit from letting us ‘share’ this music with each other.
So basically, yes, anywhere those rights can be enforced, the potential customers are denied access to unapproved or pirated performances. If I bought the video and uploaded it for everyone to see without paying, I would be breaking the law. similarly, if I download and upload the same video, I am violating the law. Even if I am not collecting advertising revenue for views.
Some services are very zealous in this. create an original video, but use somebody else’s music without permission and you can be banned. or else the big bad lawyers will blow the service down.
Anyways, for those who live out where pirating is legal for personal use and sharing, some services allow or encourage that you avoid the big bad lawyers by denying access to places the lawyers have already blown down other services.
PS. Linking to existing content on the web allows us to escape liability. though there have been news sites that sue aggregators I haven’t heard of anyone going after links in blogs. But when this started with sites like Napster, they did sue users who downloaded songs for personal use.

Yeah, it’s weird, like putting regions on DVDs and such. I just set my VPN to South Africa and refreshed this page and your Eagles tune pops up pretty as you please! I’ve discovered the same problem with some of my French music videos that I’ve been reluctant to share here because not everyone is running a VPN.
I do recommend a VPN, it won’t spoof the spooks, but it will help a great deal with security, I use Norton, get it with my anti-virus and have been happy with it. If you get one, and set it to the US, then whatever videos you can see on your screen there we can see on ours here. It’s easy to switch back and forth between countries, takes but a moment, and allows us to see things that for some reason or other some folks just don’t want to share.

God called Jesus Christ to what seemed unmitigated disaster. Jesus Christ called His disciples to see Him put to death; He led every one of them to the place where their hearts were broken. But what seemed failure from man’s standpoint was a tremendous triumph from God’s, because God’s purpose is never man’s purpose.
There comes the baffling call of God in our lives also. The call of God can never be stated explicitly; it is implicit. The call of God is like the call of the sea, no one hears it but the one who has the nature of the sea in him. It cannot be stated definitely what the call of God is to, because His call is to be in comradeship with Himself for His own purposes, and the test is to believe that God knows what He is after. The things that happen do not happen by chance, they happen entirely in the decree of God. God is working out His purposes.
If we are in communion with God and recognize that He is taking us into His purposes, we shall no longer try to find out what His purposes are. As we go on in the Christian life it gets simpler, because we are less inclined to say – Now why did God allow this and that? Behind the whole thing lies the compelling of God. “There’s a divinity that shapes our ends.” A Christian is one who trust the wits and the wisdom of God, and not his own wits. If we have a purpose of our own, it destroys the simplicity and the leisureliness which ought to characterize the children of God.

Five finger death punch “Gone Away” – Continuing on my “dark” theme (music) which I hope will or can resonate with those for which it “speaks” – here I attempt to show the emotional/spiritual state of a person who has lost a comrade/child/close one, possibly tragically or brutally – before their time (which is itself a complete conversation), and either enters that terrible state of losing faith/belief, or merely confirming their already atheist “belief” (also a conversation) – anyway, what I would hope to point out, is at this stage of a person’s “falling” it would be useless to “comfort” with words of the prophets, the “law” or even the blanket “the Bible says” – no – THIS is when the Paul’s of the world come to the fore – people like me? not so good – more the ‘concept” guy – we each have our “mission”, our journey. For sure mine is going to be how to get to the place where I can honestly, truthfully say….Father forgive them…….what they do” I’m still in the “they know EXACTLY what they are doing phase” – load up the fire and brimstone cannons. LOL.

If our modern Pharaoh/s had any sense or even the faintest “glow” of a soul left in them, they’d do the smart thing, and figure out that Pharaoh and his minions don’t do so well at the end of that chapter. So we’ve had them, the Babylonians, the Romans, the Persians, the Nazi’s, the Soviets, (apologies if I offended anybody by leaving them out), and each and every single one of them is GONE. What makes them think this is our first rodeo????

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
