I believe masks do help stop the spread, especially after I read this story last year (reported by many news outlets) about two covid-infected hair stylists with symptoms. Don’t ask me why they worked on clients for a week, but they and their clients all wore masks, and none of the 140+ customers tested positive. That convinced me that there is some practical value when the virus is surging.
I am 65, and my 90-yr-old mom lives in the apt. upstairs — we are healthy and enjoy life, but we also wear masks in stores and crowds. And so far, thank God, we have been covid-free. Others are free to do as they like — and by all means, keep all businesses, churches, and other places open — people can decide for themselves if they want to be there. I would not want to wear a mask for hours on end, but I am fine with wearing one to run errands or other short-term appointments or outings. I just prefer to be a little safer for now, especially as I’m a little leery of the vaccine. And I do take Quercitin and Zinc sometimes as a preventative…
