A year ago tomorrow, I was scheduled to go and pick up my 14 year old daughter, from my X, for Easter week.
Her Mom refuse to even let me see her, because she knew I wouldn’t follow mask protocol.
It is the longest I’ve gone from seeing any of my daughters their entire lives.
Her Mom works at a hospital and I work in a cabinet shop in my back yard.
I would have to hire a lawyer and take her to court, even with joint custody.

Memorial day is my hope. My youngest has a big sister who I have supported by working full time as a carpenter at 66. She has survived the lockdown so far. She is back on her feet, and promised me today, I would see both them on Memorial Day.

If I remember correctly, when kids are around 14 they can have more of a say legally as to their custody and visitation situations. It would require legal help though, and most courts are backlogged. So sorry to hear about this.

Retired Magistrate here: In my opinion your future in this country is going to depend on what state/county/township you live in.
Some states have strong Governors who will do everything to put the freedoms of their citizens first, no matter what the federal government decides to do. Even in States that do not have freedom loving Governors, you will find County Commissioners, Township Trustees and Sheriffs who will not follow the dictates of the installed President.
If I remember correctly some counties have already declared themselves to be sanctuary counties for the second amendment. I believe that you will see more counties start to take the same type of action.
Currently there are at least 13 Attorney Generals in red states who have sued the Biden Administration with regard to states having the ability to lower taxes. Biden’s stimulus plan stated that states would not have the ability to lower taxes. Even though the Supreme Court has gone squishy on a lot of issues, I believe that they will rule in favor of the red states on this issue.
Now is the time to start talking to your local officials; no I don’t mean representatives. I mean the people that actually run the district/township/county that you live in. Express your concerns to them. They are the ones that actually make a lot of the local decisions.
We are no longer the United States of America; we are the divided states of America. Just make sure that you are in a location that respects the Constitution and will do everything possible to protect it.
