Interestingly, the alphabet narrative engineers are focused on this trial as they were with George Zimmerman. Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is charged in the May 25, 2020, death of George Floyd.
Chauvin has been charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, who died in custody.
Forensic evidence showed that George Floyd died from a “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.” Other significant conditions were listed as “arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; recent methamphetamine use.” (link)
A memorandum filed by the Hennepin County Attorney’s office on June 1 indicated that chief medical examiner Dr. Andrew Baker, who listed Floyd’s death as a homicide, thought the amount of fentanyl in Floyd’s blood was “pretty high” and could be “a fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances.” “[Dr. Baker] said that if Mr. Floyd had been found dead in his home (or anywhere else) and there were no other contributing factors he would conclude that it was an overdose death,” the memo said.
Livestream Links Below for open discussion of this ongoing case.
Yesterday, Donald Williams II, a combative bystander who repeatedly yelled for Chauvin to remove his knee from Floyd’s neck, took the stand and said he “called the police on the police” after witnessing the fatal arrest. Darnella Frazier, the teen who filmed the viral footage of Floyd’s death, also took the stand and described seeing Floyd “suffering” in his final moments. The propaganda machine is working diligently to frame a racist narrative.

I think most people are just sitting back waiting for the next round of riots. They’re almost certainly going to be disappointed with the verdict unless the jury has been bought-off. Probably winds up like OJ and a wrongful death civil suit as a consolation prize (as if 5 nationally televised funerals for a violent drug using recidivist criminal wasn’t reward enough)….
Already got the $27m “consolation prize”.
anniversary is in late may.. you got to win this country back prior
His family is so proud of him.
Well, he HAS been crime and drug free for the last 10 months!
The most predictable thing is that there will be a riot by the same people no matter what the verdict.
If so, I hope the ones who cause violence and damage property DIE.
Only the wise people will have S&W (Shirley and Wilson) as well as Mr. Remington ready to drop the savages. They may as well invite Mr. Beretta along with his accomplice Siggy to join the fray.
It reminds me of listening to Ted Nugent at the Spectrum in Philly many moons ago singing “Free for All”!
Let justice be served………
they will riot in anger or celebration.. it’s a done deal.. try purchasing property insurance in the immediate vicinity of the courthouse… I’ll wager it can’t be done
Ore Target, Best Buy or Walmart.
The media has already convicted the man…
So has most people on Social Media. the facts don’t matter, only emotions.
Greg Jarrett on Fox has already damned him.
Chauvin may not have been their finest, but the fact is that procedure with the knee on the neck was not only an approved restraint maneuver by the Minneapolis Police Department, it was part of their officer training program.
More facts: Floyd was panic’d that he could not breath well before he was restrained, and had a fatal level of Fentanyl in his system, plus Meth.
Only an extraordinary miscarriage of Justice could deliver a murder verdict.
Only an extraordinary miscarriage of Justice could deliver the presidency to a senile, corrupt old man who couldn’t get a hundred people to attend a rally for him… Unfortunately we are living in extraordinary times and I don’t mean that in a good way!
we are laughing stock in the world….no one even 5 yrs ago would believe who would be in the ….WH…
BINGO!!
Yep it looked real bad only showing the end but as far as legally this should be tossed by the Judge or the appeals courts but probably won’t due to cowardice politics.
You mean like the stolen election suits?
Republicans leadership let the elections stolen because they hate Donald Trump as much as democrats.
They should be blame.
Good luck winning any National elections anytime soon.
Burn the GOP down.
It took 20 years to collapse the Whig party, it may take 6-10 years present day, but it has to be done. GOPe is flush with money from multi-corps, MIC, etc, so bleeding them financially is hopeless. Every 2 years the GOPe shears conservatives for our votes, then puts us to pasture for the next shearing season. The GOP don’t need us, and we don’t need them, I’m tired of voting them in then told to go away.
Bite the bullet now, not later. As painful as it will be to endure, let the Dems have super majorities. He!!, by de facto they already have super majorities w our complaisant RINOs.
When Mitch and his band of RINOs in both Houses lose their ability to be a deal makers, they will retire. 6-10 years to collapse the GOP. PDJT will not be allowed to win the 2024 primary, a 3rd party PDJT vote will speed up the GOP collapse. GOPe are going to run Nikki Haley in 2024, another reason to vote 3rd party. Vote all State elections, that is our farm system where our future conservative stars will come from.
Again, burn down the GOP!!!
Sadly, they will yell, “no black deaths, unless we do it ourselves”!!!
I believe the Fentanyl, meth, other drugs, the panic all contributed to his not being able to breathe…but I also remember that he was positive for Covid and “not being able to breathe” is a huge symptom of Covid as well.
Then why was he out? They’ve had contact tracing for almost a year now?
Be-cause he’s a crim-i-nalllll
George Floyd is the only person in the United States who died positive for Covid-19 but didn’t die from Covid-19!
Excellent observation.
Joe, that’s an excellent point!!
It is not surprising that witnesses on the ground at that first moment were upset, it looked horrible.
It is the lack of accurate mediia coverage, and individuals’ lack of willingness or critical ability to accurately process the other contributory facts that matter going forward.
From my point of view, FLoyd was so big and powerful, that this was the Liliputians trying to keep a methed up, rabid Gulliver down.
OJ was guilty as hell and EVYERBODY knew it. But in an “extraordinary miscarriage of justice” he was declared not guilty.
The increasing levels and incidences of injustice in our society will soon overwhelm us to the point that we will no longer be outraged, shocked or even surprised. We’ll just become numb to it.
I was in the 9th grade when the OJ trial was going on. I remember my teachers telling us that Marcia Clark just really fudged up her case and that’s why OJ got off.
They probably didn’t want to admit that a racially biased jury was intent on freeing OJ in a post-Rodney King L.A.
So much easier to blame Marcia Clark than admit that black jurors nullified a valid prosecution.
Well, she did. The ‘put on the glove’ stunt backfired in a big way. That was a bone head move.
O J had friend Al Cowling drive him around in Simpson’s white Bronco to deflect and give his son Jason, time to create an alibi for his whereabouts at the time of the brutal murder. Jason was a powerful young man, with a diagnosed rage disorder , trained in hand to hand combat and received knife training in the Army. At the time of the murders Jason was on probation at work for attacking his boss with a knife. As Paul Harvey would say “Now you know the rest of the story”.
And OJ was a frequent user of speed and had a rage disorder himself. And the gloves DID fit.
Wet w/ blood, leather shrinks and of course, OJ spread his fingers and pretended he couldn’t go any further with them.
OJ’s blood was at the scene.
OJ also had arthritis in his hands and took medication for the swelling. He stopped taking it before the trial started.
Mark Fuhrman also believed that Simpson was guilty of murder but blamed OJ’s acquittal on the lead detectives’ failure to enter evidence into the chain of custody (cf w/Wikipedia).
Yes, OJ is a remorseless killer but given the miserable botch job done by the prosecution, I too would have voted for acquittal.
That said, Minnesota will send their most competent prosecutorial team against Officer Chauvin. If the poor bastard is judged to be “Not Guilty” he should immediately change his last name to something that sounds less like “chauvinism.”
It would NOT have mattered.
Most of the jury were black and lived in a neighborhood that would never have forgiven them for an acquittal.
Second, the one woman who was dismissed, white, was a “guilty” vote.
The newness of DNA evidence in court, gave black jurors plausible deniability in not trusting science.
The whole thing stunk.
Disagree, I watched every minute of that trial and studied the evidence and testimony carefully. NO one has ever bothered with the most telling evidence of innocence. Starting with Goldman being found with his shirt bunched beneath is shoulders and knife cuts in the soles of his shoes. Envision being held from behind, beneath your shoulders while you are, being attacked by an assailant with a knife slashing at you. You end up with your shirt bunched and cuts on your shoes. There were two people involved in that murder. The issue with the blood sample tampering was real. The target in that murder was Goldman. OJ was convicted by a press doing exactly what they have done in this case and others.
I’m confused by your response.
Perhaps Goldman was the target but it was OJ’s ex-wife he visited, right?
How would Oj’s blood get there?
the blood was the reason for the verdict. It tainted the police because of chain of custody of the blood sample they took from OJ, and the blood collected at the scene contained anti clotting chemical in tubes use to collect blood.
The increasing levels and incidences of injustice in our society will soon overwhelm us to the point that we will no longer be outraged, shocked or even surprised. We’ll just become numb to it.
Numb to it, or dead of it.
I remember reading that AG Keith Ellison overcharged Chauvin purposefully, since they had the entire video, and could never meet the level of evidence to make the charges stick. The sole purpose was to create the basis for civil unrest, something which someone as despicable as Keith Ellison, a race hustler, is not stranger.
The jury might come back with a lesser manslaughter charge to “appease” the mob.
Just think General Flynn and you’ll realize there is no justice in the law of the left.
I oppose trial by emotion and unqualified opinions, but to play the devil’s advocate: Neck restraints work by causing oxygen deprivation. When someone has been reported as being under the influence, acts like a zombie, and was already claiming breathing problems, would you think “gee, restricting oxygen flow to his brain will help”? I realize that Chauvin likely assumed Floyd was faking, but that’s a heck of a gamble.
I wonder if the MPD training and policy includes guidance on when neck restraints are appropriate to use and when not.
Can you still buy home insurance in Minneapolis? I’d rather be selling home insurance in Pompeii around about the year 79 AD. The anarchists are said to be assembling like vultures around a dead buffalo.
Exactly! I was paying $5500 a year for homeowners insurance in South Florida on a 3 bedroom house and no riots, looting or arson. I bet the insurance companies raise the rates in Florida so that Minneapolis can still pay $600 a year waiting for the flames.
$300-$500 insurance payments were PRE Hurricane Andrew. Immediately afterwards, they shot up to $3000 per year. With a huge deductible.
Four fold increases in all building materials means “replacement cost” insurance is bound to double soon. The 60% loss in value of commercial real estate means that property tax burden will be shifted to homeowners. Eviction moratorium means 11 million evictions pending.
But … single-family homeowners are NOT too big to fail. They’ll be burned to the ground … for selfishly living only ONE family to a spacious home. Right, Comrade?
At least 3 refugee immigrant children could b housed for FREE in your spare bedrooms.
Like they haven’t been thinking of that for awhile.
Germany has been kicking out pensioners in favor of jihadis.
It’s all about duh justiz.
The only people hurt with all these riots are the black people who live there. Trust me on this – I grew up in St. Paul. The riots are not in lily white areas.
Does the homeowner policy have riot or terrorism exclusion?
Most policies do have that exclusion.
nope
Riot is covered, terrorism does but must be declared an act of terrorism by the federal government.
Self-hatred/self-abuse is such an under-discussed part of human psychology. Drug and alcohol abuse, battered wives (I mean the poor souls who just take it), teen pregnancy, school dropout rates: so many of our problems spring from self-abuse. I recall the do-gooder in Baltimore picking up trash, and all the resentment he got.
My high school was a mix of middle class and poor kids. The poor kids seemed to just melt away as the time went by. Where do they go?
I grew up poor. I hate that word but I don’t know what else to call it. I worked my ass off to be able to stay in school all the way through undergrad. If you are poor, you have to want it. You can’t just coast through it and collect your cap and gown.
Same here! I grew up in the projects in New York City and worked by ass off for everything that I have. My parents wouldn’t take a dime that didn’t belong to them. With eight brothers and sisters each my parents never committed a crime and no one in my family was ever arrested for anything. That’s an Irish/Italian family in New York City. Stack that up against the Black and Hispanic residents of New York City!
I think what matters more is that you had a father is in the household.
I was also raised extremely poor, think salt soup and clear koolaid poor. My mother had 4 children with 3 different men and never married any of our fathers. I also worked my butt off to now be a home owner and am considered middle class. It can be done, you just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
They become statistics.
I wouldn’t bet my paycheck that it will stay there forever.
I wouldn’t either. It depends a lot on whether they keep the light rail rolling. The only purpose for the light rail is to carry trouble makers to the burbs. I understand it’s rather dangerous to use.
The irony is that people in the suburbs are funding the criminal choo-choo that brings the violence and crime to their neighborhoods!
This exact same situation destroyed malls in St. Louis County, and we still have a couple that were once nice but which you now take your life in your hands to visit.
Beyond sad. Perpetual misery for these black neighborhoods perpetuated by white anarchist aholes that escape their destruction by going back to their white neighborhoods. Sick, really sick.
Just like the way Biden insults blacks by saying they’re too stupid to go online or have IDs. Those sorts of comments make me cringe.
I don’t feel bad for any of them anymore. They voted for their Democrat leaders who only care about enriching themselves. They’re so stupid–they’ll continue to vote Dem. No sympathy here.
As I have said before invest in match and Bick lighter stocks.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t most homeowners policies exclude coverage for damage associated for things like war, riots and mass insurrection?
Yes they do, Maximus
no, please see my reply above
Guys if you have a standard HO-3 insurance policy then riot, insurrection is covered. War is normally excluded on most property coverages.
Funny how that memo from the Chief Medical Examiner to the Minneapolis District Attorney was concealed and not given to the defense until it leaked!!!
Funny how the Constitutional protections don’t apply in any democratic controlled stronghold..
Just wondering if Judge Sulivan has a brother by another mother in Minneapolis..
MAGA
“… don’t apply in any [Democrat] controlled stronghold…”
They are not democratic, and should not be referred to as such.
Shades of Mike Nifong.
Except the MN State AG is islamacist Keith Ellison, instead of NC AG Roy Cooper.
This is a show trial and there is no chance he will be released. If a miracle caused an acquittal, the Supreme Court is not brave enough to sustain an objection to the double jeopardy, as occurred with the Rodney King cops.
It is a true shame when social justice subverts true justice.
But that is the purpose of Social Justice.
I was leaning guilty in this trial until Louder with Crowder allowed someone of Chauvin’s size to place him in the exact same restraint with one knee on his back and one on his neck. Nothing happened. This is consistent with the coroner’s report. Now I am leaning Not Guilty.
https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/live/
You should have looked at the real video of the arrest from the moment it started with Floyd being gently placed into the back of the cruiser as he kept fighting and figgitting while complaining the whole time he could not breathe for many minutes. The police said they would accommodate him as much as possible and he fought his way OUT of the vehicle onto the other side of the cruiser where he was restrained and held down.
The whole clip is rather long as far as things go and if Floyd had just cooperated they could have possibly gotten him to the hospital where he would have died from his overdose as I am not sure anyone could have saved him from his own fentanyl poisoning.
Always go to the source to see and determine the facts as best as possible and remember that there are professional photographers that have staged many events with their deceptive angles so try to get as much photo or video evidence of the area and people involved.
Also, beware, DEEPFAKES video editing is going to cause a lot of issues if not already with lost, missing, found, and months later “video evidence”.
For the MSM not to be involved would be RACIST! So they must comply.
Has anyone linked a race problem with The Minneapolis police? Does the accused have a history of racism?
The two men knew each other and worked together. They had tangled. It appears to me that this line of investigation was not explored.
Would not a murder charge be stronger by arguing that the officer was taking revenge for past altercations?
Perhaps this would deemphasize the valuable racial aspect, and lead to questions about Nuevo Rodeo.
Where do you get that they had tangled before and knew each other? I want proof, not that you saw it somewhere.
Here it is of all places SNOPES
says yes they both worked at the same place at the same time.,
Link https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/chauvin-floyd-club-employment/
Snopes? That’s an impeccable source!
You may wish to read “Sunday Talks” May 31, 2020, on The Conservative Treehouse. It provides additional aspects to the case.
I’d rather you provide direct proof of what you said that they had tangled before.
It was widely reported months ago that both Floyd and Chauvin worked security at the same club [El Nuevo Rodeo]at the same time–Chauvin outside & Floyd inside. It was one of Chauvin’s extra gigs and was Floyd’s non-criminal job. CBS June 1, 2020. The owner didn’t know if they knew each other but said that they both worked there on Tuesdays. Another article from CBS4 in Minneaopolis May 29 2020 said that Chauvin had worked there for 17 years but Floyd only began recently and worked mostly Black arranged and themed events which used used the club as a venue.
Yes, I know that but emet said they “tangled”, meaning they had been in a fight with each other. I want to see the proof that happened.
Floyd coworker stated the two “bumped heads”. See NY Post 6/10/20, Daily News 6/10/20, CBS news 6/11/20. This individual later (for some unknown reason!) recanted this statement, but I will go with his original statement as accurate.
See also the Congressional testimony of Floyd’s brother, who believes Floyd’s death was premeditated.
Not really likely that a cop and a con would be pals.
Pure hearsay and most likely someone trying to smear Chauvin by claiming he had it in for Floyd.
Correct. False accusation.
And Dorian Johnson said Michael Brown was shot in the back while running away. Well, until he was under oath at least.
Sundance had several articles on it after it happened, I tried to search, but the search feature doesn’t work like it used to. He tied them together at the nightclub they both worked at.
from May 29th thread:
The background of George Floyd being killed by police officer Derek Chauvin is horrific. There is no justification for Chauvin’s action and the seemingly cavalier attitude by those who were at the scene of the events. Outrage and emotional reaction over the video of the events is not surprising; but the riots, arson and looting are another level of troubling.
CTH has not written about the incident, because there is obviously much more to the story than currently being presented by national media.
This is one of those incidents where a variety of interests seek to take advantage; and as each layer of interest attaches itself, well, the larger truth behind the originating event is lost. A rabbit hole is created.
Officer Derek Chauvin and victim George Lloyd knew each-other. Chauvin was a security officer for a sketchy dance club named El Nuevo Rodeo, and had worked there for 17 years. Chauvin worked for El Nuevo Rodeo cantina and dance club longer than he was a police officer. Mr. George Lloyd also worked at the restaurant/dance club as a bouncer, for several years. Chauvin and Lloyd knew eachother.
The dynamic of the relationship between Lloyd and Chauvin is divergent from the media narrative. Additionally, the media presentation of the club, and ownership, is also materially flawed.
Here on this site SD wrote about it, search El Nuevo Rodeo or Floyd and find it. It’s an interesting read
I know all about that, but show me where Chauvin and Floyd had “tangled”, meaning fought each other, before this incident.
A rabbit hole no one will dare go down. TCT blogged that the Nuevo Rodeo was an FBI operation laundering counterfeit money into the Twin Cities’ Somali community. I don’t know the validity of this, but it is interesting that both worked there…it was 50 yards from Chauvin’s precinct (3rd), and that it was one of the first buildings torched. Lots of fishy stuff around there regarding ownership of NR, etc.
And what did Floyd do that caused the cops to be called on him the first place?
He passed a fake $20.
Was he stealing from the counterfeit operation?
Was Chauvin there to “shut him up?”
Like what? Prior knowledge of fraud, extreme violence, and drug use by Floyd? They both worked as bouncers for a shady club, or so it has been claimed. The incident could entrap many politicos and higher ups in the shady industry, counterfeiting, and drug trades among other illegal activities and trades … who would benefit from silence the most if these connections are real?
Alphabet agencies.
One worked as a bouncer inside the nightclub. The other was hired from time to time to do security outside the club. I have seen no evidence that they knew each other or had ever met. The owner of the establishment didn’t know if they had ever met each other.
How do you know she was the owner? Start there.
So for anyone really wondering what this is realy about….
Making Black people a privileged class..
Baltimore .. will not charge people for prostitution, selling drugs, stealing cars, shop lifting../.
No bail policies .. commit a crime serve no time..
So police are no longer protected by sovereign immunity..
So police are victims just like ordinary citizens..
Already in Portland striking a policeman is not a crime..

Would George Floyd have died with this restraint procedure being used if he was not on high powered illegal drugs? If yes, convict because he did not apply the technique properly. If no, Chauvin is not guilty. If Chauvin violated department policy or procedures, he would fall in the manslaughter category. JMO, which means nothing in the leftist court of public opinion.
Not watching. But the Scott Johnson (Powerline),following this closely, is saying Chauvin’s defense team is not doing a good job.
Yeah, I’d say they are doing a poor job so far. The witnesses so far have had nothing to do with the question of how Floyd actually died, which is all that mattered. It’s been witness after witness stating their opinion on what happened and they should not have even been allowed to testify.
One said “Drugs don’t kill you like that” so Chauvin’s lawyer had the perfect opportunity to point out that the witness has no training to say such a thing and to also bring up and pound home to the jury the amount of drugs in Floyd’s system.
Also the woman yesterday said “He was killed by police holding all their weight on him” which she has no way of knowing how much weight was applied or what actually killed him and was not challenged on it.
Chauvin’s defense really needs to pick it up and be more aggressive.
Prosecutor calls his witnesses first. Defense is after that and they will call their witnesses.
I thought that yesterday, but it does not make sense to prove the “non expert” is wrong. I think the defense will take care of that when their experts and witnesses come on line. I don’t think you score too many brownie point for beating up losers.
“ I don’t think you score too many brownie point for beating up losers.”
Which is why there was no cross-examination of the three minors.
The defense is adequate to the task at hand. If Scott Johnson is unhappy about perceived shortcomings he should offer up some pro bonum assistance.
I disagree. Chauvin’s defense gains nothing by going hard at witnesses for the prosecution whose testimony is slanted by race, lack of knowledge of the event, emotion, animosity toward police, and their own attempts to interfere with the officers. The defense defused their importance, allowed their own behavior on the stand to question their truthfulness and objectivity, and laid several pitfalls in the cross that the witnesses unwittingly fell into head first. The Fat Lady isn’t even humming yet.
Don’t have to go hard at them, just get them to agree they don’t know the actual reason Floyd died, haven’t read the autopsy report, ask them if they knew the amount of fentinyl in Floyd’s system, etc. Good to get that into the jury’s mind as quickly and often as possible.
I do think it was a good decision to let that old man leave without questioning him. I think he helped the defense more than the prosecution really, showing how uncooperative Floyd was.
I agree with you. Just simple questions can negate their testimony as anything but a bystander’s perception.
Well played, Sir!
There is no need to get into this minutia with these witnesses. The jury saw the video, the witnesses add nothing. The only thing I would point out is whether they can determine how much pressure was applied by Chauvin (quantify in pounds per square inch) and when and whether they have ever seen anyone suffering from a drug overdose and/or coronary attack to know whether they can make a determination of what was causing his pained look and response.
The trial hinges nearly entirely on the ME testimony (injuries, cause of death as determined by physical evidence and application of police procedure).
Don’t have to get into minutia, merely show they are only offering an uneducated opinion and emotion. None have them have had absolutely anything to offer towards the actual reason for the trial.
The defense only needs to call two witnesses – Floyd’s autopsy that shows he died of a fentanyl overdose and the Minneapolis police training manual that lists the knee hold as standard police policy.
I am SO looking forward to the ensuing riots errrrrrrrrr I mean peaceful protests, and watching how the inept biden-harris admin handles them. Doesn’t matter if Chauvin is convicted or acquitted, any excuse for a free TV and new sneakers.
Pass the popcorn and let’s watch those carphole cities burn to the ground
what you call riots I call just an idea.
BidenHarris have paid them to cool it. They will call them out when needed.
Already got the $27m “consolation prize”.
They got 15 million before that in a gofundme account. I think the lawyers got most of that.
How to frame a win win..
So the police are in a no win situation..
1. If Chauvin if found innocent.. Floyd died from drugs.. The narative.. we all know..the community response with riots , burning and looting .. supported by MSM.. ‘we understand the black community frustration.’
2. If Chauvin is found guilty using Police Dept rules and guidelines then .. no police officer will want to serve in law enforcement and wide spread criminal activity will go unpunished leading to a crash of society..
It’s only a matter of time before law abiding citizens have to defend themselves.. with possible use of deadly force.. remember who your enemies are..
MSM.. crooked politicians of all races of all colors..
Never give up your right and protections of the Constitution and Bill of rights.. never give the government your guns..

Chauvin may not have been their finest
Why do you say that? Because the media tells you that?
No, because he has a sketchy past: “The Minneapolis cop who was seen kneeling on George Floyd’s neck before he died was involved in three police shootings during his 19 years on the job — and has been the subject of 10 conduct complaints that resulted in no disciplinary action, according to reports.“
HT: NY Post
You are free to interpret this record as Chauvin being too slippery to face disciplinary action or contrarily, the man is a Saint who always acted according to Department policy.
I think the truth is somewhere in between, with Officer Chauvin being an okay kinda guy.
That said, he makes a convenient whipping boy to justify Black Rage and White Anarchism.
This makes him a liability to the Minneapolis PD and City Hall. Thus, he is being persecuted by the institutions he represented for nearly two decades.
Are you for real? Chauvin heard Floyd say he couldn’t breathe. Floyd aside, Chauvin is a punk.
Floyd was 6’8″ 280 pound nightclub bouncer. What did you want Chauvin to do to keep Floyd immobile until the EMT arrived? Remember the police could not use any type of weapons!
IDK. 19 years nary a complaint other than making a woman get out of her car once.
Not tuning in. I don’t know the Officer, but I pray for him. Law Enforcement is being destroyed by the Left. When they dial 911, and they get no response, tough nuts y’all. Fend for yourselves. The rest of us are prepared to defend our families.
The police are being attacked because Black and Hispanic under class are the proxy army being used to destroy America. Once the police are neutered your on your own!
When was the last time you tried to buy stuff with a fake $20 bill while high on fentanyl and meth?
If you have done this or do this, you should stop and never do this again…
Floyd was driving away in a 4,000 pound Mercedes Benz stoned out of his mind when Chauvin stopped him!
Excellent point that I have not seen before.
I’m not a lawyer, but how can they charge him several types of murder for the death of just ONE victim? Take your pick, but he couldn’t commit second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter on just ONE victim.
TEWS, the attorneys are hoping that at least one of the charges will stick.
It’s common to charge “lesser included offenses”. Chauvin is charged with homicide and will only be convicted of one flavor, if he is found guilty. If he didn’t commit murder in the second or third degree, then maybe it was manslaughter.
Frankly – this isn’t murder of any kind, and it probably isn’t manslaughter either. The question is did Chauvin cause George Floyd’s death; and if so, what was the manner. I don’t think he did, it appears that George Floyd died of an overdose. He may have unintentionally caused his death by positional asphyxiation, but that is doubtful as well.
Your comment reminds me that I think police should NOT keep people, especially large ones, laying on their stomachs with their hands handcuffed behind them. I’d imagine it is hard to breath. I couldn’t believe they did this to the loosey dude, either.
We know that the knee on the neck didn’t kill Floyd, so how is it that the only one actually on trial is Chauvin?
The medical examiner called it a “homocide” but was unable to point out how the death by a human being was accomplished.
He obviously was either told to state that or he felt afraid not to. I choose the latter. That’s where Antifa and BLM violence sent a message.
He’s the white guy.
There’s absolutely no way this man will have a fair trial.
The cucked judge wouldn’t even change the venue.
Did Mr. McMillian say he only has a 3rd grade education?
Yes, and McMillian at 61-years old was born in 1959 not during the 30’s Depression Era. He said that he has been a resident of Minneapolis all of his life.
I found the level of literacy in Minneapolis extremely poor for a people who seem to think they are so upscale. Perhaps we as Americans could find a better level of education in their community of Somalia immigrants. Just saying.
Do police officers have any responsibility to people they have taken into custody or are holding inert in the position we saw GF in here? I’d like to know an official answer to this.
One aspect of 3rd degree murder in MN reads thusly:
What difference might it have made if one of the cops had told the gathered crowd that EMS help was on the way? Or if Chauvin or another officer clearly checked for a pulse (one witness said that Chauvin might have), or if in any way Chauvin expressed in facial or other gestures a concern for GF’s welfare? The most credible witnesses were very certain that GF was dying or did die as he lay there. Honestly I don’t blame them for their reactions. Most of us here also have the impulse to help those truly in need.
I’ve read carefully the 2nd and 3rd degree definitions for MN and I think the above portion of the 3rd degree definition is the only possible charge that can be made legitimately . But to my mind, Chauvin looks really, really bad here.
And let me say, as one who was raised in MN and taught school there, I am heartsick at the cultural changes in the state. I wish to God this would not have happened.
There are several videos of suspects who die while being restrained by police. In the videos the suspects are struggling violently while pinned to the ground, and then in an instant they go from loud and active to quiet and still. What happened is called “positional asphyxiation”, they were held in a position where they couldn’t breathe properly until they lose consciousness due to lack of oxygen. Death in these cases occurs very quickly. IF that is what happened here – and it may well have been – then at most it is unintentional. It may very well have been the combined effects of an opioid overdose in combination with the hold. It may very well have been JUST the opioid overdose, allegedly Floyd swallowed all the fentanyl in his possession when the police arrested him.
Reasonable doubt will not allow the murder charges. When you have 2 coroners reports claiming the same high Fentanyl amounts and not concluding what single thing caused the death, how can the prosecution say it was Chauvin without saying the medical reports were wrong?
The new video out today showing GF in Cup foods clearly shows him having problems being off balance, constantly digging in his pockets, repeatedly counting money, and generally acting like someone on some thing. Even the store clerk testified about possibly drunk or something. So, I don’t think there is any dispute about drug use and since Fentanyl depresses the respiratory centers, according to Medical News Today, who and how will it be “proven” what caused the death?
Anniversary riots all over the nation!
I saw a photo from their training manual that I first thought was the George Floyd scene. He was following the manual to the letter as far as I can see. And IMO the hostile, shouting crowd probably distracted him from monitoring Floyd’s condition as well. Lots of officers have been shot or otherwise injured by crowds like that.
I’ve come full circle since 2015, and I want to see it burn under an illegitimate admin.
So I’m hoping for a not guilty.
Not because I think Chauvin is innocent.
But because I want to see the liberal sanctuary cities burn.
I know that’s not very Christian of me. But I’m about done with this spiral of idiocy.
Enough. Burn it down.
seconded. little is served by delaying the inevitable.
Are you assuming the fire will end the spiral of idiocy?
It hasn’t yet.
Thing is it wasn’t rioters who burned down Sodom and Gomorrah…. if you get my drift.
Every single witness…They all say they feel helpless..and then they cry…
Feelz before rule of law.
Emotocracy.
Those who are arguing with me that this is all irrelevant and Chauvin’s lawyer should be challenging it hard, do you see what I mean when I say that now?
This guy is doing nothing but trying to play on the jury’s emotion, he offers absolutely nothing towards the actual case and like nearly all the witnesses before him, should never have been allowed to testify.
What actually killed George Floyd has nothing to do with these peoples emotions.
I agree. Having served on juries, I’ve seen people harden on their position before the other side gets a chance, and then it is very difficult to change their mind.
It appears Floyd was suffering from the effects of the controlled substances in his body. Fentanyl can cause fatal respiratory depression. Floyd choose not to comply with the officers.
https://spectator.org/george-floyd-death-toxicology-report/
According to the toxicology report, which is central to the prosecution’s case, at 11 ng/mL, Floyd had over three times the potentially lethal 3 ng/mL dose of fentanyl in his bloodstream when he arrived unresponsive at the hospital.
Moreover, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, among the most common characteristics of a fentanyl overdose is “foaming at the mouth … and confusion or strange behavior before the person became unresponsive” (emphasis added)
https://observer-reporter.com/op-ed-who-and-what-killed-george-floyd/article_6c4c95e2-8732-11eb-a584-8b05e3bcba99.html
Floyd died when his heart stopped. Yet, he was already suffering from an
enlarged heart with constricted arteries, one of five of which was 90%
blocked and two others were 75% blocked.
IOW, Floyd had a lethal dose of fentanyl in him, had 1 artery 90% blocked and 2 more at 75% blocked, he had amphetamines in him, and he was essentially a dead man walking whether or not the police showed up.
IMO they overcharged the cop, and we will witness a not guilty verdict and riots in the streets to fuel the racist propaganda.
They want us divided
I agree.
My only question is: are the excessive and unprovable charges on purpose to cause more riots, or the result of incompetence in the DAs office?
I can’t breef!
That’s what they all say
He can’t get a fair trial. Every juror has to know they’ll be doxxed and their homes and families assaulted if they acquit.
The trial judge acted irresponsibly in not granting the defense a Change of Venue motion.
I’m awaiting a defense that shows close-ups of the “knee on the neck” only to show the knee was not used to compress, just to keep the perp from rolling over and swallowing his tongue.
That was just one danger to the “victim,” that in his state of drugged mental and physical state, he’d cause himself to choke himself to death.
If the officer had a well-known defense attorney and all the money in the world to defend himself, he’d not be in the crosshairs of every hateful group, cowardly media, cowardly Minn officials.
From Legal Insurrection:
“…[A]nother common theme among the witnesses today was that even after the paramedics arrived and checked Floyd for a carotid pulse, Chauvin had still not removed his knee until Floyd was lifted up onto the gurney. As mentioned by a commenter in today’s LIVE coverage, this raises an interesting question. That is, if the paramedic was able to touch Floyd’s carotid pulse without Chauvin having to move his knee, then clearly Chauvin’s knee was not placed on Floyd’s carotid artery and could not have been occluding carotid blood flow.”
Moreover, in a healthy “specimen “ both carotid arteries would have to receive pressure if Chauvin
intended to make Pretty Boy Floyd unconscious.
The video shows the officer keeping the hold until the medic taps him. The officer kept the hold while the medic was checking on the arrestee and while he was setting up. Both officer and medic coordinated per their training and procedures.
The policies of putting arrestees, who are exhibiting delirium, in holds are there to protect everybody. Bystanders, medics, officers and even the arrestee are protected from harm caused by irrational drug induced behavior. The officer performed as he was trained, and kept the hold until medical aide was ready.
Also, those policies were crafted to take the best course of action for as many people as possible. It was fully understood that drug ODs cause death, and that there is always a risk of that happening during the hold. But it is important to maintain the hold until medical help is ready.
How can they charge him with 2nd/3rd degree murder and manslaughter?
What else, late returning a library book?
Bad breath?
lol
There’s a lesson here.
Even if you’re a cop in a deep blue Sh*tHole who only protects the Elites and Liberal Mobs,
they will sacrifice you in a heartbeat.
Defund the police. Sounds good to me. They only protect the mobs and the elites.
Hopefully, this guy’s trial will serve as a warning to others.
I’d like to know why the NYT’s doxxing the jurors isn’t jury intimidation/jury tampering.
Doxxing should be made a Federal and state felony anyway. Maybe one day it will be.
Blocking a highway or roadway should also be a felony.
I’m wondering where the video is of Officer Chauvin shouting to/telling the crowd, “He overdosed on Fentanyl, this is not hurting him at all.” No, that doesn’t exist because he didn’t know Floyd was on Fentanyl, at least nothing I have heard says that.
Chauvin should be on trial for his actions on what he did based on what he knew and what happened when he rolled up to the scene. Floyd isn’t on trial. As much as some might want to let cops kill thugs when they arrest them, that isn’t the policy and is illegal.
Did Chauvin follow the policy? If he did, the trial is moot. If he did NOT, did his failure to follow policy cause, or contribute to the cause, of George Floyd’s death?
You’re right. All Chauvin knew was that this guy was only 9″ taller than him, and only outweighed him by 100lbs. And when Floyd physically resisted arrest, it shouldn’t take much to control him.
He should have just let go and politely asked Floyd to join him for a car ride downtown.
Taken directly from the autopsy report by the Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner, Andrew Baker:
“No life-threatening injuries identified —
“A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae
“B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal structures
“C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries
“D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column injuries, or visceral injuries
“E. Incision and subcutaneous dissection of posterior and lateral neck, shoulders, back, flanks, and buttocks negative for occult trauma”
So disgusting that the Floyd family was paid millions. Just like the Trayvon Martin family, just like Breonna Taylor family. So disgusting.
That’s the norm now. If the family of a deceased black peep can spin the narrative early enough, and gin up a mob willing to loot and burn, then municipalities THROW money at them.
It’s like winning a ghetto lottery.
autopsy report shows 11 ng/ml fentanyl in blood. 5.6 ng/ml Norfentanyl.
https://www.hennepin.us/-/media/hennepinus/residents/public-safety/documents/floyd-autopsy-6-3-20.pdf
studies show lethality down to 2 ng/mg average somewhere in the teens.

easy reasonable doubt. not saying it goes this way but facts/law are clear.
I believe this will end in one or multiple mistrials, because like everything else the last 13 years, it never ends.
Thanks to the Racist Democrats, The NFL, The NBA, NASCAR, The PGA….

If Derek Chauvin is found innocent, the piranha mob will be even bigger and more ferocious than the piranha mob that went after Kristi Neom.
Waiting for the Live Stream Riots
Sorry but all I see is a repeat violent predator not wanting to go back to prison especially after watching Saint Floyd’s arrest of 2019 almost identical crying all the way to the station mama, why you doing this man etc…
So this cop woke up and planned to kill GF specifically….impossible!
9 minutes of a knee on a neck is enough to kill a many people. How many elderly could survive that? I believe this is a case of “Just following orders” not being excusable.
Sundance still won’t speak on the money laundering aspect of this case and how this may have been a hit on Floyd.
“ How many elderly could survive that?”
Because Pretty Boy Floyd was a frail old woman targeted by a Nuremberg Nazi, amiright?
Marc, you obviously haven’t read any of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy report!
The autopsy report by the Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner, Andrew Baker:

Kneeling wherever it was didn’t have anything to do with Floyd’s death. He killed himself with drugs!

Poor guy. He would not get a fair trial when politicians takes you as a political football.
I read the complete autopsy report when it was released nearly a year ago.
It is the only evidence that matters and it could not be more exculpatory.
The fact that there is a trial at all is a travesty of justice and saddens me.
For the same reason that there was a George Zimmerman trial. To make the appearance of pandering to the black community. There were many observations during the Zimmerman trial that the prosecution wasn’t even trying. The truth was the facts did not support a conviction, but they had to try anyway. There are many parallels to this case. Prosecution pandering to people’s “feelings”, when you have no hard evidence to support your charge, is about the only alternative they have.
