I was wondering if PTrump could get possession of the RNC mailing list and use that to communicate directly with his supporters since he has pretty much no other way to do it. He could send out emails, similar in to style of tweets if he wanted to do it that way or just send out an email message.
If he didn’t grab it during the last election cycle, that was a Yuge error. With all the social media use by him, his family, friends and supporters, someone should have been scooping up that data for the last 4 years. And Josh Wingrove’s numbers are incorrect. Once the three companies provide what’s already been ordered, which won’t happen before summer, there will be 500 million SHOTS, not vaccine for 500 million people. (Two of the three vaccines require two shots apiece.) When you factor in transport losses and spoilage in clinics (unavoidable), 500 million shots is about even with demand.

Look up the effectiveness ratings for flu shots, Boots. It’s less than the effectiveness for the J&J COVID shot. Until these new mRNA vaccines, the idea of a vaccine being over 95% effective was only theoretical, unheard of in practice.
We know you like vaxes, but these do not confer immunity. There is research out there to include CDC that states J%J is gene therapy. Never in the history of man has there been an effective vax against a corona virus, which CV19 is. We also know you don’t provide any sources in your comments.
To say these are 80% effective is disingenuous. What does effectiveness mean? Dying? Contracting the virus? Not catching pneumonia? How ‘effective’ was the placebo group? 80% also? How many people in the trials that did NOT receive the vax did NOT contract the virus? How many people who contract CV survive without the vax?
When 99.5% of those that contract the virus survive, most of whom receive no medicine for treatment, then an 80% effectivité of a vaccine that can cause permanent harm because it was rushed for emergency use is a risk that each person needs to weigh for themselves.
It’s a free country, and individuals can decide to research it or not, and take it or not. This forum exists to share sources, some of which are good or not and people can decide for themselves.
Vaccines do not “confer” immunity because that isn’t technically how vaccines work. They teach your own system how to produce antibodies, and those antibodies in your own immune system CONFER immunity against specific diseases. The immunity one gains via vaccines is the same immunity one gets by recovering from the disease. That’s also why it takes a couple weeks after immunization for you to become immune.
The medical definition of efficacy is pretty simple. It’s the calculated probability of the medication preventing the person from getting the disease. In other words, out of 100 persons exposed to a level of virus that would normally cause disease, somewhere between 70-80 of them will have sufficient immunity (because of the shots) that they will NOT manifest the disease. Now, if you haven’t been exposed to enough virus to manifest the disease, because you have been performing other mitigation behaviors like distancing, masks, hand-washing and surface disinfection, then getting the shots will give you MORE protection than the efficacy rating. Your other listed percentages are irrelevant to the example, because survival rates, transmission rates etc. are not the same question as “How effective is this vaccine?” Sure, you can question any study. Most of them fail simply because no other party will be able to re-run the experiment and get the same results. That’s why my teachers in medical assisting school kept repeating, “No replication, no fact.”
In my area, there’s no ‘slack demand.’ Thousands want it and they want it now. Any vaccine that’s available. The supply here has not kept up to the demand. I just shake my head when my friends and neighbors are practically knocking down doors to get their appointments.

Today is the first day of Texas under a “no mask mandate” order. Although many (maybe most) businesses are still requiring customers to wear a mask for entry, I suspect that will slowly change.
Since the Abbott announcement, I have noticed more people walking into stores, ignoring the mask request, and no one saying anything to the customers. I suspect, many will wear a mask to enter, then pull it down while shopping.
It will be interesting to see how quickly the restaurants ramp up to full occupancy. Many are virtue signaling that they will continue to operate with safe distance protocols (50% occupancy), but i don’t see that lasting long. It’s un realistic to expect them to turn business away. Also, most of the service people work on tips, so they want more customers, not less.

If the businesses continue to require masks and social distancing along with 50% capacity, then I dont feel sorry for them if they go under.

IMO they would have waaaaaaay more customers if they took a proud freedom stand, then they lose by karen’s calling them out on social media places. Those people that would call them out and others who would post how terrible it is and demand people boycott them, will and would, never be customers anyway. I know this is correct. I know an owner of a local business who offers products and services similiar to the big box stores. From day one he had signage that said masks were a personal choice and did not require them to enter. Since the mandates started he said his business has increased dramatically. He gets many comments on the policy of personal choice. Most people like it. In the grand scheme of things he thinks he might have lost a handful of customers but gained twice as many as he lost. Bottom line is most people dont like to be mandated of what to do.
Unfortunately in Broward County, FL, many businesses still require masks and have strict demands on the types of masks you can wear. If you are not wearing the required mask and refuse to accept the offered mask, they deny you entry and recommend you utilize website or app resources. They’re even denying entry to those with pre-existing issues that would exempt you from wearing masks. Many who work for these businesses are extremely rude towards those of us who refuse to comply; a shame since these same workers used to be very courteous before this nightmare started.
If you try to warn them of the dangers of continued mask use – cancer, gum disease, hypoxia, etc – they claim company policy and make stupid excuses about washing or changing masks often – which pose threats to the environment in discarded mask trash and excessive water and electricity usage and can lead to further exposure to harmful chemicals in detergents.
So you don’t get to spend your money in their establishment?
Closed my credit union account yesterday because of their stupid mask policy. Unfortunately, many of the businesses I frequent require masks, so it makes shopping for basic needs very difficult. If I had the time and gas money to shop at Oakes Farms stores in Naples, I’d drive an hour and support sound business practices. Broward is commie liberal run, I’m afraid.
Sign up for grocery delivery. I had mine delivered even before the pandemic, and I love it for the most part. One of the stores I use is a super store, so they carry many things other than groceries.
Grocery curbside pick-up is the best thing since sliced bread. I love it and will continue to use after pandemic.
I absolutely hate any type of shopping.
Tell them you have a medical condition and can not wear a mask. If they ask about your condition tell them that’s a HIPAA violation. If they continue to press tell them you will have them arrested.
I do tell them about my medical condition. They don’t care and demand I use online resources.
My next course of action is to do what many here have suggested and start calling city, county and state reps to demand legislation protecting against covid lawsuits. I’m sure banks and big businesses like walmart will continue to insist on masks – they can go right on ahead as I rather not do business with them anyway – but smaller establishments and restaurants will likely welcome not having to force mask mandates as it may help bring in more customers.

So due to a medical condition that is out of your control, you are told you will not be served in person, you will have to be served online. Is that similar to telling the black customer to use the other water fountain, not this one? Or to use the back entrance, not the front entrance? Isn’t discriminating against a person due to their medical condition kind of like telling a handicapped person that You are sorry their wheelchair won’t fit through the door but there is nothing they can do about that?
How do businesses get away with policies for entrance/service that are clearly discriminating against certain classes of people?
Businesses in my town cheerfully offer curbside delivery and assistance, if you have any condition that prevents you from wearing a mask. But they won’t let you enter without one, and the local cops enforce it. Most states allow businesses to set “dress codes” (no shirt, no shoes etc.), so it’s going to be an expensive court fight (that the business will probably win) to accuse them of discrimination for enforcing whatever their governor’s current orders are, and what most of their other customers want. Believe it or not, they can also challenge “service animals” now, because too many people have been cheating – putting generic vests on their pets so they can take them shopping. It is not an ADA violation btw, to ask what “physical service” the animal performs. It is likewise not a HIPAA violation to require a doctor’s note to confirm you should not mask. The note need not specify the condition, so there’s no privacy violation.
Then you don’t patronize them, in person or online.. Simple as that. If they lose enough business they either change their policies and attitude or go under. Consumer power is the people’s greatest power right now.

Businesses have the right to make rules regarding entry into their premises. Customers may comply or go elsewhere or shop on line (that’s what I do.)
I suspect that many are concerned about law suits, and believe that mask rules are an easy way to avoid being sued.
Stella, I agree with your assessment of why they are so militant about requiring masks even without mandates or rules or laws that say they have to: it is because they are scared of legal liability.
Thus, here in South Carolina, we have passed a bill in the state senate that protects all healthcare providers and businesses from any legal liability in this regard. It is expected to be signed by our MAGA Governor, McMaster. State Senate passed on 2/25/21.

We never had state-wide, county wide, or even town mandates for Masks at all, here, ever. I believe only a few cities had mask mandates, the liberal blue ones (Hilton Head, Columbia, etc.)
But many businesses demanded it because of legal liability they were concerned about, I suspect. Once this passed, many amazing local businesses posted on facebook and other sites that “The Masks are off!” along with pictures of their waiters and waitresses smiling wide and captions “Come see our staffs pretty faces again!” etc. I was super excited to see these posts. We are going to one lake-side establishment on Friday. I can’t wait to actually SEE the staff!
Also, I will note, that I have gone in to plenty of businesses with masks signs mask free , many , many times and no staff, ever was anything but super pleasant and nice to me. None ever asked me about my lack of mask or demanded I put one on. Other customers, well, that’s another story. Had 1 major incident that was easily handled, over the entire last year.
Ugh. We’re in a doughnut hole of Dorchester county right in the middle of blue Charleston county, and we’ve got a county-wide mask mandate. And plenty of Karens to enforce them. Don’t have a lot of shopping options either – Walmart, or the ghetto stores. I’m beyond sick of it.
Still, I’ll be using this knowledge, so thanks for posting. I suppose I should start keeping a close eye on the legislature and governor’s office again, I quit in disgust when the mandates just kept getting stricter.

I’m a Charleston girl, born and raised. Hate the politics but I’d die if I left the land for any extended periods of time… and that’s barely an exaggeration. Many businesses here in Florida (and all in our county) are required to post the sign that a mask is required. Don’t fall for it. ‘Just walk in. Corporations are having to play both sides of the fence. If the business insists that you wear one, you are free to leave. Keeping the signs up is just another form of control. Many people here in Florida believe they have to wear one, but there is no punishment for not doing it. That was why we celebrated; DeSantis made sure there was no teeth to any violation, and now you can see OURS!
There are a handful of companies that are militant about it… Costco and Trader Joe’s are the first ones that come to mind. I haven’t been in the TJ’s for over a year now and only go to Costco for a handful of things. I know exactly what I want, get in and get out and I only go every six weeks or so instead of a couple times a month like I used to.
I do the same with Costco now Viking– they have lost a lot of my monthly spend, for sure. TJ’s food is disgusting on all counts in my personal opinion, so we don’t shop there anyway.
WallyWorld, Publix, Home Depot, Lowes, Sam’s Club, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware all require masks here in Florida’s Big Bend. I really despise them for it, but until the Legiscritters get off their butts and pass the bill
that exempts businesses from liability for COVID-19, we’ll have to suck it up if we have to go to these places. 🙁

When first hearing of Covid there is a real fear and for good reason. But then one started listening to the players in this and sub-consciously thoughts began to formulate. I felt Masks was bullshit from the get-go. Then I thought I wonder how much more of this is bullshit. I felt Fauci was a no-go as well as scarf. I got bad vibes from those two. 6-foot social distancing made sense in this way; How many times have I heard people say, Don’t get to close to me I have a cold”. Lockdowns never made sense to me.
Overall I came to the conclusion this is by and large all about politics and as it is to this day. Why wasn’t something as Hydrochloroquine one of the recommendations?

Sorry, but in my mind these parents ARE the problem.
An expensive degree from an expensive indoctrination center is NOT required for a successful and good life!
The parents are the ones who have told their children the they need to go to “the best” schools and make their connections with “the best” people. Otherwise, they might have to get a regular job, work hard, maybe build their own wealth, and live in a regular suburb or small town with “the others.”
Get your kids out of this toxic atmosphere. Try a community college, trade school, or just go into the workforce until they know what they want to do.
Remind them that “Successful” and “Famous” are not careers, and social media is not the God you need to answer to in the end.
I think the issue is that no mater what station you are in, everyone is affected by the cancel culture

There may be a correlation between increase in mask usage to increase in spread of the disease. My wife is a masker and she got it. I don’t wear a mask and did not catch it from her and did not wear a mask at home when she was sick. Crisis perpetuation would require continued positive testing. Two policies of the Big CDC Pharma crew are high replication allowance making virtually all tests positive and push to mask – and who benefits from this? uhmm humm!
Logically if the mask stops the virus from air travel then the virus particles collect and concentrate. So now you have a Covid source you carry around conveniently being kept virulent (alive) with your own breath. Then think of all the touching of the mask by mask wearers. Think of how they handle the mask during and after use? Wifey left hers on the dining table way too many times.
So when no two people have the same protocol for removing, storing, cleaning etc the masks that have been worn then your mask is a source – a super spreader.
A father at the church gym dutifully wore his mask into the gym for boys practice and then promptly took it off and twirled it around and around on his finger as he walked back and forth in front of the bleachers.

The CDC defines exposure to covid as 15 minutes within 6 ft of a person infected regardless of either or both wearing masks.
I suppose the 15 minutes is shortened if you hug, kiss, eat after get sneezed on, coughed on etc. That statement indicates the mask is totally irrelavent to transmission. So which is it, because either scenario screams take off the mask.
On a side note – there seems to be a confusion amongst the bluish political corp about what steps they are willing to take to reverse course on all the covid madness. It is as if they are stalling trying to figure out some other benefit from the constructed crisis…..and that is the scary part.
If you look back to the “Spanish Flu” (likely H1N1) pandemic, at the turn of the last century, it lingered for about 2 years.

What is interesting their descriptions of the problem are the same but their solutions are very different.

First, if you haven’t already, get involved. Call your county board of elections, your county precinct chair. Tell them you want to volunteer. See what openings there are. Numerous committeemen positions need to be filled.
