I can’t see the Republican Party as the Resistance, not when they were lining up to have their temperatures taken, at a venue they paid for.
Liability is a lame excuse. Who exactly is going to sue, because they caught a disease and survived after having all their hospital care paid for?
That would entail having to prove that masks “work”, and could have prevented it, and exactly what are the damages that would entice an attorney to take on such an expensive case on contingency?
I don;t care for lame excuses, when this is the most important issue of our time. We are inces away from forced masking for all eternity, with a “passport” required to go anywhere.
Those who say it does not matter because you weren’t going to fly anyway, have fun with your illegal border crossings on foot in the dead of night to sneak into one of the last free states, until there are no more free states.
It would be so much easier for all concerned if we would just go ahead and get our vaccinations like good boys and girls, then our “leaders” could just keep on pretending they don’t know that these things are mandatory.

Our school district in AL went hybrid (half kids 2 days, no one Wednesday, half kids the other 2 days and virtual when it was your turn to not be at school) at the end of the year because 2 schools had 80ish cases and the rest had a lot of staff out on “quarantine”.
There was a quarantine problem, not a Covid problem. I really hope society moves most this chapter and never looks back, but unfortunately, I think these bureaucrats and Karen’s will take this forward until the end of time.

Sounds like discrimination to me. How do they get away with it? So now stores can refuse service to customers based on -what exactly? All of the chain stores in WA have been denying access for many months here. They say you can use delivery services or order online and pick up outside the store. Initially they let people who claimed medical exemptions in and then they devised these “alternatives” to deny access to anyone not wearing a mask for any reason.

A DHS spokesperson did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. An HHS spokesperson referred the request to the White House, which declined comment.
Between the lines: DHS currently projects there will be 117,000 unaccompanied child migrants crossing the border this year, according to information on the slides.
A large number of them are teenagers. Just last month, some 6,000 migrants aged 16 and 17 were caught, according to the slides.

The Jan. 8 Facebook post making the claim includes a photo of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo walking outside with a white-haired man behind him who appears to have his arms behind his back. Combined with the caption, the post seemingly suggests the white-haired man in the photo is Mattarella being placed under arrest.
There is no evidence Mattarella has been arrested. Had the Italian president been arrested, it would have made headlines around the world, yet none could be found. Mattarella has continued to perform government duties in the week since the Facebook post made the claim, including meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the outgoing and incoming general commanders of the Carabinieri.
Mattarella is also not pictured in the image being shared, further adding to the Facebook post’s dubiousness. The photo, shared on Twitter by Pompeo on Jan. 7, appears to come from the secretary of state’s October 2020 visit to India. Pompeo visited New Delhi, India, from Oct. 26 to 27 last year, according to a fact sheet from the State Department.
The inaccurate claim about Mattarella getting arrested likely originates from a conspiracy theory known as “ItalyGate,” which baselessly suggests Italy meddled in the 2020 presidential election and switched votes from President Donald Trump to President-elect Joe Biden.

While US condemns China for taking action against pro-democracy Hong Congers, China says pro-democracy Hong Kongers are no different than the DC protesters. I think we may have something here.
