The old established aerospace defense contractor for which I worked for 38 years had a longstanding permanent policy to not discuss politics or religion in the workplace. They didn’t reprimand anyone who violated that unless there were corroborated complaints that the person harassed anyone or made a general nuisance of themselves. It’s just common sense courtesy to avoid potentially insulting a coworker.
But of course both common sense and courtesy have long disappeared from public discourse.
No talking politics at our workplace either, because a Leftie went crying (literally) to the boss. Then we recently caught the boss talking to a co-worker about working at the polls and the recount, so the Trump supporters went back to talking, only more discreetly. We also get written up if we don’t wear our masks correctly. We have a lot of maskholes who tattle like grade school children if they think they might possibly have to breathe the same air that you do.

I am so disgusted. The university I graduated from years ago (back when we actually learned) mailed a brochure asking, of course, for donations. The pictures they were displaying were of students that were males and females of different races, but no white male anywhere (except the President of the college). I did 2 years at a community college. Started three business and retired At 55. Went fishing. A number of my class mates went on to law school and became attorneys. So many attorneys. Wrote my own contracts mostly & invested w/o a broker and did pretty good. Not bragging just fact. Sent two kids college.One went in the Navy,One to Univ of Florida. He is a hospital administrator great kid. My oldest daughter has a PHD in cultural Anthropology. She went to Northwestern among other schools. Eight years of indoctrination for her. We don’t talk much anymore as She hates The President. My youngest is a graphic artist a good one. Never went to college. She makes more$$$ and is infinitely wiser than her older sister. Cultural Anthropology degree is a joke. She now edits some liberal rag of a magazine for woke people. Educating her was an expensive waste of time and money. She ain’t happy and blames the patriarchy what ever the hell that is.

In California, if our wonderful Governor and legislature put through a horrific tax bill that will penalize high-income earners even if they currently live out of state but were IN the state in a certain timeframe (such as attending college), then I do not understand why Stanford University and other leading universities here do not fight this tooth and nail – I realize they are staffed with ultra-liberals all the way down the line, but WHY on earth should anyone go to Stanford (or any other California college/university) if your time spent here will result in California taxing you?
What about all those people who go to Stanford for their MBA’s – maybe years after they finished college elsewhere – then they go back to Massachusetts, Utah, Colorado – but will get hit by a big tax bill from California?

There is no logic to the actual units that have been selected among the 25,000+ National Guard Troops deployed to DC. It seems the hodgepodge of units would more likely end up in freindly fire incidents if all called upon to act.
