Actually, from a politico-economic standpoint, the fascist description of the current US ruling caste is far more accurate. Fascism is government control of private enterprise vs the government ownership of enterprise that is communism. DON’T get hung up on the “nationalism” aspect. Good for you! I watched Newsmax for a few seconds last night and heard some GOP guy saying “this is why we have to take back the House in 2022”–And I turned it off–I’m DONE WITH THEM!! Independents cannot vote for any party candidates except for “non-partisan” offices or referenda. So you lose the opportunity to choose a candidate you might support.
In IL, there is no registration, as such, but in a primary you must choose a party ballot if you wish to have a say (barring fra) in choosing the important candidates for office.

I’m seeing more & more on the Treehouse expressions of some views and policy positions that the far left has held for YEARS. What I mean is, we might come at it from opposite persoectives, but there are things we agree on.
The left is against foreign interventionsim, wateful and destructive wars, needless loss of life. We want investment in American infrastructure, clean cheap energy. We absolutely will pressure Biden on these points.
We absolutely are for justice reform, marjuana leglization & amnesty for marjuana use & small possession charges. We’re against “three strikes and your out” that leads to life imprisonment for things like multiple thefts.
We spoke out aagainst the prison-industrial complx, against FBI sting operations that reek of entrapment, against the CIA overthrowing goverments secretly, against powerful corporate lobbysints who basically dictate legislation to congress, against the Patriot Act’s erosion of civil liberties and the surveillence state. We’re against tech monopolies, big data, especially collecting data we dont consent to simply to use websites and apps that have become necessasy for modern life.
These past few days I’ve seen posts on the Treehouse decrying the Iraq War and the cooked intelligence — the left agrees.I saw a funny cartoon of a “smart” refigerator denying access to food for wrongthink. We agree.I even saw a Malcolm X quote.
I guess what I want to say is 1) many of your fears are unfounded because the same pressure is coming hard from the left on many of your concerns and 2) maybe this moment of history could open channels of communication and commonality between people who couldn’t really hear each other because of partison allegiances. The far right and the far left agree on many things. I was shocked watching Ralph Nader and Pat Buchanan having a discussion a few years ago on Book TV. They were in agreement on so many things regarding how our country has been hijacked by the corporatocracy.
I’ve noted this kind of thing for many years and it’s why I’ve never belonged to either Political Party – I’ve never seemed to “fit”.

I do not know your feelings regarding President Trump, and whether you voted for him or not, but it is obvious to anyone paying attention that he appealed to a wide swath of the American population – across all political and social stripes – because he speaks to, and tapped into, the ideas and issues where American’s are united – regardless from which direction an individual got there.
As we know, many of the issues you outline here where we find commonality – against Foreign interventions and war, the FBI and it’s out of control sting operations, the CIA’s endless excursions into Foreign affairs, the Tech Monopolies in particular – President Trump has stood up against – and the Uniparty has stood for.
Recall it was recently revealed that the Military disobeyed the CinC and did not in fact remove troops from Syria as so ordered – the Uniparty you may remember was aghast at such a suggestion and endlessly railed against such a “reckless move” (according to them).
The Bipartisan “COVID” bill is one of the latest and greatest examples – throw the little people $600 each while moving massive amounts of money overseas for pet projects – all to the benefit of Uniparty kickbacks of course.
President Donald Trump is not a Republican and it’s why the Republicans (as Sundance notes “right side of the Uniparty bird”) despise him, have worked against him, and are ecstatic to now see him leave office within a few days.

This may be the same lesson that everybody now needs to learn. It’s a good lesson.

They are present in our communities, make it hard to be there. If one is in your church, marginalize them, they are the enemy. If in any organization you have something to do with, oppose them at every turn. Try to have them kicked out. Make sure their children get cut from sports teams, kicked out of clubs, dis-invited to anything you can, make sure those in your family you can influence do the same, do not associate with them in any way. If they or their kids rent from you evict them, make living in your community worse for them at every turn, in any way you can. They are the enemy. Make them know they are despised.

How does Peter’s plan differ much from destroying big retail? A lot of MAGA people work for big retail and need these jobs to support their children. I see no difference between what Peter is advocating and what others are telling me to do such as stop watching sports, cancel Amazon, cut cable, etc. Each has the intent of destroying the livelihoods of other Americans. Our party system historically has had 2 parties, but an independent press has provided structural stability by mediating the two parties, thereby providing structural stability as with a 3 legged stool.
In recent times, our press has been infiltrated by special interests that wish to align with one of the party legs of the stool. The remaining leg is wobbling to maintain a balance that is structurally elusive. And in recent times is often aligning with the first leg. In other words, the effect of the special interests on our stool has basically folded it. As if to put it away. It no longer functions as a stool.
While the press is no longer providing necessary structural integrity and is being used to align with a party leg, then we need to provide support by creating a structurally sound 3rd leg…..which means we need 3 parties while or until the press operates on the whole as an independent mediating force.

If we look at the basic evidence,
Hundreds of thousands more ballots then voters, over 1400 affidavits on voter and non voter fraud and not one arrest.
Multiple examples of federal offences including mail fraud and the FBI would not investigate
Multiple states claiming their voters were disenfranchised and the supreme ct would not hear their case.
Large percentage difference in republican house member vs senate members who objected to the vote. Video evidence of votes being counted 3 times in Georgia and not one senator objected to the Georgia count.
5 states shutting down their vote counting, yet no communication records found to suggest it was coordinated
A truckload of ballots was brought into Pennsylvania, yet who sent them which is basic police work is unknown or unreported.
Now you have to ask yourself, are the democrats sophisticated enough to organize the steal, hide communications, have evidence disappear, get the FBI to not investigate, and leverage both the supreme court and republican senators. If not, then who helped them.
I would suggest as a possibility that the help came from same organization who would not investigate the election, the same organization who was involved in a previous coup attempt, the same organization who have a history of breaking the law with immunity, the same organization who are known for holding compromising evidence on politicians and judges.
Read the 2 reports from Peter Navarro. The Ds flooded the ballot box with open mail in ballots, and then essentially shut down the standard protections against fraud. No Kraken.

Every method used to steal the election comes down to a severe weakening or removal of the existing controls.

In other cases, there was no need to manipulate via the machines – example – only manipulation needed was to produce large amounts of supposedly mailed in ballots (again, all controls have been removed from the acceptance of such ballots) and because “they” have the lists of voters who voted/did not vote – the voter “who did not vote” is none the wiser that he or she did in fact cast a vote.

This had no chance of passing the Senate. Worse, it hurt Loeffler and Perdue as Pelosi and their candidates immediately jumped on Trump’s side in support of the $2,000. The two Republicans dropped in the polls.
Mitch and the GOP are in a tough spot. If they continue to embrace Trump they lose corporate money. We already know that they cannot raise enough money from the middle class because most people run their mouths, but do not donate.
The smart move would have been for Vice President Pence to give the States ten days to respond. They did not take the smart path. They also did not address election reform in 2016 when they had the trifecta. Neither did they address Section 230. Those were massive mistakes.
The biggest mistakes occurred at the State level where RINO Republicans changed election laws to favor Democrats. This is where all our efforts must be concentrated. Those election laws must be reversed or the Conservative movement is dead.
They never supported President Trump for 4 years. Crawl out of the 2016 basement and review history. The entire party was exposed within the first 100 days of the President’s administration in 2017:
No medical coverage plan, to replace Obama Care.
No tax cut plan and resistance to President’s tax cut plan.

For example, the spending bills passed on 12/23.
The President could have sat on the bill for 10 days before vetoing it on January 1/2. Then the House and Senate would have had until midnight 1/2 to override the veto before a new Congress was installed on 1/3.
Instead, the President vetoed early giving the House and Senate plenty of time to repass.
Just one example of strange decisions that we all refuse to question because “trust the plan”…or “he knows more than us” or some variation thereof.
At some point one needs to step back to evaluate if they have been had.
Any lingering doubts will be removed in less than a week I suspect.

The President of the US Exercises his authority to the limits allowed by ALL 3 Branches of the Government via LEGAL Executive decisions. Members of ALL three Branches of the Federal Government and many State Governments combined to limit options of the President. It was especially limiting if the Judiciary did not support President Trump as this had the effect of making orders illegal on surface, allowing Executive Branch Members to disobey them.
Our founding Fathers did not foresee the level of corruption that now exists across the 3 Branches of the Federal Government. OUR OWN system of government was used to legitimize ALL the actions and limitations that emerged over the past 4 years and the vast majority of voters have gone along with those actions. Time to regroup and form the 6th MAGA movement that has risen and been suppressed since 1962.

I guess I just had unrealistic hopes for Trump’s ability to outsmart and out maneuver the DS. I am no Trump, so as for specifics I can’t speak to them other than he made what appears to be on the surface, some bad hires. No one can know the depth of the corruption unless you are swimming in the swamp.

Right. Trump was surrounding by swamp–just about everyone in that government is CORRUPT! I’m amazed he got anything accomplished at all, given that the entire rest of the government was against him.

The US President is NOT a dictator and only has as much power as other members of the Government’s 3 BRANCHES allow him to exercise. There are 4 million plus (civilian and uniformed) employees in the Executive Branch of the US Government, whom he has to control via hired and appointed leadership via LEGAL Orders. Thanks to use of Constitutional Limits and Limits of Federal Law, the President had very little choice on whom he could appoint to leadership positions to hire and fire that 4 Million as well as members of the Judicial Branch whom rule on his abilities to employ the constitutional powers allocated to the office of President.
The President is a victim of our own form of Government as long as ALL 3 Branches decide to oppose him and nearly 75% of the voters decide NOT to act. President Trump was forced to govern via use of the best of the worst choices made available.
President Trump outplayed and outwitted the forces aligned against him for four years. How did he do it? By being honest.
Honesty ultimately failed against an opponent that weighted their gloves, changed the rules, paid off the judges and referee. It took a fixed election to take him out.

If the current view of the Republican Party is that it is abandoning the will of its citizen members, the best thing to do is have a mass country-wide exit from Republican to Independent TODAY. If a citizen feels disenfranchised they need to let it be known. That is the only way the message will get through.
The Party needs to know before the vote in the Senate. They also need a new leader.

Has Obamacare been repealed and replaced? Has even one ginormous pork bill been challenged? Behind the scenes, Republicans fought Trump tooth and nail on every front for four years.

All the “controlled” news and social media cites have expanded the topics and associated vocabulary their auto-censor algorithms now evaluate. It has become harder to “trick” them with a skillfully worded comment that still contains the essence of your comment. Plus they have added source recognition to flag potential offenders via phone number, ID, IP Address, et al.
The censorship algorithms, just like the very very old chess game algorithms, come with advanced AI deep think and learning capabilities, to adjust the algorithms.
