With all the corruption, it makes you think it might be high time to forever disband any executive agency, department, or organization not specifically mentioned by the Constitution.
Did you know the Attorney General used to just be an informal White House advisory position that did not require Senate confirmation back in the old days?
Not only that but George Washington believed the United States Marshals were already good enough to act as a federal police force who could travel across state lines.
And look what happened when we disregarded George Washington’s wisdom by allowing J Edgar Hoover to create the FBI in 1935 and Harry S Truman to create the CIA on July 26, 1947.

I’m hearing Foster v. Love (522 U. S. 67 [1997]) might apply here. Who would be the one to present that? In 1997, the SCOTUS ruled unanimously (9-0) in favor, which if I understand it, says that Congress sets the standard for “election day,” and that any vote not decided by midnight of that day is declared null and void and referred to the state legislature. Thoughts?
SCOTUS did not rule on the merits, they cowardly ruled that Texas did not have standing. Thomas and Alito disagreed and stated that SCOTUS should accept EVERY case where one state sues another because SCOTUS is the ONLY place Texas had available to file because SCOTUS is the court of original jurisdiction for issues between states.
SC didn’t even want to hear any of the evidence. They just dismissed because of the old escape phrase that solves any issue the SC,or any court really, doesn’t want to be any part of. It’s the biggest load of crap out there in legal land imo. You could prove no standing on just about every case going it seems the way it gets used.
Read awhile ago a thorough explanation of how ‘no standing’ came to be and that it really isn’t a valid legal play, but was made into one. Think it was here someone wrote about it but not sure. Anyway, to me it is just a made up convenient excuse to bypass working on the hard stuff the courts want no part of. It stinks that the law and the ability of people to demand their chance at justice is dismissed so absolutely with no chance for the plaintiff to make his case based on these two little words the judges chose to rule on.

Retired Magistrate here: I was just a lowly Magistrate in a Common Pleas Court but I always upheld the law. I am heartbroken at what the Supreme Court just did. I still think that President Trump has been gearing up to use Executive Order 13484; that is why he has made all those changes to the Department of Defense.
He will not go slowly into the night and neither will we. Everyone keep on praying. The fact that President Trump got elected the first time was a miracle; it will take a miracle to get him re elected, although we all know he already was around 10:00 P.M. on November 3.
Really tired of the people who all think they know these clever plans the President has.
This is a coup by China. If he’s aware of it he could have invoked the Insurrection Act weeks earlier.
Perhaps the President is waiting to see what happens in the Electoral College before he plays his ace in the hole…
Trump could have invoked the Insurrection Act and declared martial law, but holding back on that and letting the corruption unfold has caused more evil doers to be revealed. It is best to exhaust the more peaceful options first.

I have (farm animals) and I can assure you its not as easy as you might think. A few times I had it go wrong and the sounds and images still haunt me on occassion. Have you ever had a loved one come home from war, weary and wounded? I have, let me tell you I have been woken by the sounds of my loved ones nightmares and have been rattled for days by what he said and can’t remember in the morning. We must proceed with sound minds and exhaust every option before approaching the idea of shedding our fellow countrymen’s blood. Trust me, blood is very hard to wash of your hands and it can never be washed from your mind.

I hear you Marcia, and thank you for your honesty and wisdom. I was once a lowly school board trustee in the 7th largest district in a state I once lived in. I abided by the policies set forth and represented those who elected me while keeping an arms lengths distance with the superintendent and the teachers. I made sure to visit the schools within my district, and the departments within so I could make an honest and well educated decision about the agenda items at each monthly board meeting.
I will not go slowly in the night either.
Barring a miracle we are officially a banana republic. Perhaps it is time we the people act accordingly.
The answer has always been in our hands. It was never to be that the courts would save the day. God has heard our prayers and answered them over a month ago: Trump must not concede and must declare himself the winner BECAUSE HE IS and then enact the Insurrection Act and we must stand by him even taking up arms.
If Trump vacates the white house or concedes, we don’t stand a chance. At least if Trump stays in office we have military and other forces at our advantage. If he leaves office there will be no recourse, and they WILL come get our guns, possibly our homes, all in due time of course.
So it’s up to us and up to Trump. Conceding to fraud is NOT an option, otherwise it makes us complicit in fraud.

I , like most of us wanted all this dealt through the courts , the lower courts then the Supreme Court of the United States before all hell brakes lose. Now God help us, I do not see a way out if all Court things fail. Then we are on our own to protect ourselves because DOMESTIC TERRORISTS of every kind will descend on all of thru FAKE PRESIDENT mandates, new rules, new EO, new congress bill etc. All directed at us SANE folks.

As a non-religious person I would say why would God favor people that won’t stand up for themselves?
Robert, GOD created us all, but not equally. Jesus, who is GOD made man, taught us to focus on what is important. That is loving our LORD and doing what HE asks of us.
I am often torn because my flesh wants to bust heads, but Jesus says love your enemies. If they kill me, I have gained, as my home is not in this world.
I do not believe we believers need stand by in the face of evil and be silent, but there is a proper way to accomplish good and still remain true to HIS commands.
I have seen a few boycott suggestions that seemed like great ideas, and there is evidence it works in world history.
Don’t forget that Jesus at every turn challenged the Pharisees addressing them as VIPERS almost every time he came in contact with them. Jesus went to the Temple and Turned over tables TWICE and drove away all the wall street ( money changers) out of His Father’s Holy Temple.
While we are called to turn the other cheek on some things, I think Jesus meant in our family relationship stuff . He commands us to STAND ON THRUTH after all has been exhausted, STAND and keep STANDING.

only 40% of Republicans bothered to vote. Again, the majority
found something better to do. I am old, lived during the best and
most prosperous times this Country ever saw. I hope the

It would have been nice if the SC had stepped in and ruled in Trumps favor, but that would have only showed that the 4 states didn’t follow a predetermined way to count votes. So according to the Supreme Disappointment Court, if you bring suit prior to the election, you have no standing. If you bring the case after the election you have no standing.
