Gov. of OH, DeWine, just announced a curfew for 21 days starting Thursday from 10 pm – 5 am.
He says, “People who need to work or seek medical assistance during those hours can do so”. He states, “Retail shops will not be allowed to be open during those hours” and then goes on to say “The curfew is not intended to stop anyone from getting groceries, a to-go meal, or delivery,” the governor explained. “A lot of this is common sense.” Now how are people going to get groceries or a go to meal during those hours if shops are closed? What a nut!
Common sense is not a term that should be used in conjunction with this order!
“Non-compliance of the curfew could result in a second-degree misdemeanor for violating Ohio’s health order. A punishment of $750 and up to 90 days in jail is possible.”

I use to do all my grocery shopping after midnight. The only thing was the deli was closed, which probably was good for my health.

In my younger days in a rock band in New Jersey, where so much used to be open 24/7, I was delighted to be able to hit a grocery store at 3 AM after finishing up a late gig. Had all the aisles to myself and often the new stock was already on the shelves.

This is where the PA General Assembly needs to assert its primacy when it comes to PA election law. They should overrule the PA General Assembly by voting to award all of PA’s electors to Trump. The only reason why he “lost” is all the changes the PA Supreme Court made to standing law…which they are not Constitutionally (US Const.) authorized to do.
In many ways, these PA Supreme Court rulings make it easier for the General Assembly to say that they’re making rulings which change election law and issuing interpretations of the law without consulting the General Assembly. The PAGA should just over-rule them on the most rock-solid, incontrovertible, Constitutional standing they possess.
Legislatures need to remove judges who legislate. Judicial activism is not “good behavior”, it is tyranny.

The Supreme Court was always the intended destination for this, the PA Supreme Court was just a required step to it
David Wecht, the PA Supreme Court Judge, was formerly the Vice-Chair of the PA Democratic Party and was a leading Hillary Clinton supporter in the state.

There is nothing wrong with ambition, but if you think that hyper ambitious judges like Wecht aren’t dreaming of their own fast tracking to federal district court and Circuit Court appointments in a Biden administration, you are fooling yourself.

But SCOTUS justice Roberts says there are no such thing as “Obama judges” (i.e. Dem partisan judges).
…which is why he can’t really rule against the PA Supreme Court because he will feel compelled to “prove” there are no GOP or D judges. This is one of those things where it’s really in the PA General Assembly’s best interests to over-ride the PA Supreme Court by passing a Bill basically called, “The PA Supreme Court is wrong. We own the Elections in Pennsylvania per the US Constitution, and here are all of the PA Supreme Court rulings we are overturning immediately.”

My liberal covid abiding family has sent us a Thanksgiving Zoom call invitation. Those who stay on the sidelines don’t do anything until they believe there will be a winner. Those who are playing musical chairs and waiting for the music to stop, they have to keep playing and dancing. Only once the music stops will we see who is left without a chair.
And, until such a time, the bystander people like DOJ and FBI will remain on the sidelines instead of doing their jobs, enforcing the law and ministering justice.

We do not have an electoral college in Canada. Ontario and Quebec have more ‘seats’ (reps) than all of the other 8 provinces and territories combined. Trudeau is not popular in Canada in most of the west.
The way it works here is the PM is picked by the party that gets the most seats and the liberals got the most seats here. We also have more than a lame 2 party system.
Kind of have to laugh whenever I see Americans try and mock Canada now. Canada is jacked but it’s nowhere near the banana republic embarrassment the U.S has become.
