It’s that time again when we kick-off the pre-election ground reports. With Treepers in every state, your information is actually a great insight into the political landscape.
Individual reports are obviously anecdotal; however, when they are compiled on a larger scale, and overlaid against the social media network we also follow, these ground reports have proven to be pretty darned accurate.
Recent state polling in Florida (not done by national media) shows President Trump with a considerable lead over Joe Biden. The stronger than 2016 support from Miami-Dade and the increase in Latino voters for President Trump are a significant factor. Local data and ground reality both support my own review that the Florida margin in 2020 is near the Ohio margin in 2016. Without large mail-in ballot manipulation the Harris-Biden ticket doesn’t stand a chance in Florida. It’s over.
EXAMPLE-2: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were in Phoenix, Arizona, and the lack of support was remarkable. A ground report from Phoenix aligns with the visible reality and highlights a true reflection avoided by MSM:
I live in Phoenix. I’d like to file the following report “on the ground” here in Arizona.
There are reports Joe Biden drew eight people in Phoenix when he visited here last Thursday.
The enthusiasm gap is staggering. There is very little real/organic support for Biden. Very few yard signs and very few Biden/Harris car bumper stickers. By contrast, there are hundreds and hundreds of old cars/pickups with Trump flags and American flags driving around. This morning, I saw a “Democrats for Trump” bumper sticker.
I have “coffee with the cops” whenever I can and the Democrat’s avowed support for Antifa/Anarchists has turned all the cops against Biden. They called his anti-police polices “bleep.” I can’t imagine any police union member supporting for him.
People here want a job not a government handout. Cindy McCain has zero support and virtually no influence.
My two boys recently graduated from ASU and were shocked by the college faculty’s attempt at liberal indoctrination. They just wanted to get a job after graduation. They will be voting for Trump (based on their own life experiences, not mine).
We the people are being sold a “bill of goods” about Biden the likes of which I’ve never seen or imagined. It is an epic crock.
God speed, patriots! (link)
All visible support for President Trump is genuinely organic, grassroots and easily identifiable as not being politically coordinated. Conversely all media-focused support for Joe Biden -used to frame the current election narrative- is transparently astroturf, inorganic and easily identified as being contrived. There truly is a remarkable and easily witnessed distinction.
Additionally, I see the COVID weaponization for political purposes as a net negative. No-one has ever won an election by relying on American voters to be stupid. We have our political differences but the DNA in our national blood carries a strong BS detector. Once people pay attention, in the aggregate Americans can tell when things are manipulated.
So here’s the question… What do you see in your area?
What is the visible situation from your community and how does that contrast or align with the national narrative you are seeing as promoted by media?
Ground reports are a great way to get a *sense* of the election.

Suburb north of Chicago. I’ve seen Biden/Harris signs and “Anyone but Trump” signs. I believe we have a lot of shy Trump voters that don’t want to advertise. A lot of people I talk with are pro Trump. The conversations are kind of funny because we both are usually trying to gauge where the other is politically before committing. Once we figure it out we are usually both for the President.
I live across the street from a 68 year old flaming lib that blames the President for every Covid death. He started screaming at me 200,000 deaths, 200,000 deaths. The guy has his girlfriend over and they both wear masks. He believes the government’s purpose is to fix everything he doesn’t like.
If I advertise with Trump signs I’m pretty sure at a minimum they’d disappear and he’d probably escalate it higher than that. I think there are a lot of Trump supporters in my town in a similar situation and don’t want to be too vocal. That said, there are also a lot of just plain stupid people in my town too.
Way more Trump than than Biden signs in RI. In 2016 every other car had a Hillary sticket. Have seen two so far for Biden. Zero enthusiasm for Joe lots for Truump. Plan to vote early in person at city hall were the ballot is fed into a machine. Sister Gina is pushing mail in ballots but will vote early in person. Afraid to wait till election day as my concern is they will limit the polling places.
In my northern San Diego County neighborhood, I am seeing a handful of Biden signs and no Trump signs. In 2016 there were more Hillary signs than for Biden now.
Talking to my neighbors, most are for Trump but like me, they keep their mouths closed. The Biden/democrat supporters are smug and feel very cossetted by media and are quick to rampage if they think you support Trump… on social media and in person, these people freely bloviate about Orange Man Bad, Orange Sh** Stain. I cannot stand these people Just cannot.
There are plenty of school board signs supporting the candidates that want to get the kids back in the classrooms. The current local HS and middle-school district board refuses to reopen the schools, until February at the earliest, and people are getting irate. So, to me, those people are voting for Trump. Hope so.
We drove north through the western edge of Dane County, WI a few weeks ago. Not a single Trump sign, a few hundred Biden. Down in our county it’s all Trump……. Dane County is the home of Madison, WI, the state capitol. Insane folks there…..
Northern Michigan and Macomb County appear to be Trump Country judging by the signs and the residents I know. I frequent roscommon/Higgins lake area because my parents live there. I unfortunately live in very lefty southern Oakland County and believe mostly democrat votes will be here. Lots of Biden, BLM, and what I call Kindness Virtue Signal lawn signs here.
Hopefully rural Michigan outvotes much of southeast Michigan.
TN will basically be a replay of 2016. All Red but for the lost Blue areas of our major Cities: Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga–guess where the Universities and Colleges are located? –Bingo
Hayward, Wisconsin is FULL of Biden signs. Going into town, a few Trump signs. This area is heavily influenced by the upper Minnesotans who come over to fish I have never understood why. There is a large Indian Reservation and as a general rule they always vote Democrat. They should be the next focus of removing the subconscious ‘plantation’ mindset.
Going a bit south to Minocqua/Rhinelander/Wausau area: Mostly Trump. In Rhinelander a few nasty Drumf Trump signs.
Down to Madison; from 51 South/ I39 Its Biden everywhere.
Milwaukee appears split from North side of city Biden to south is Trump.
Canadian, our media is as bad as yours, have money on Trump winning though.
South OC California in the ranch. No Biden signs and some Trump signs here and there. Most people keep to themselves because of the violence in Los Angeles and elsewhere. A few of my neighbors talk about politics and they are clearly Trump people.
2 trump signs and 5 Biden signs in my neighborhood. My state is Blue so no surprise.
Driving home north from wildfire duty in Southern California, very surprised to see many roadside Trump signs along Highway 99 in the farm country of the San Joaquin Valley. In my blue western Washington town, Biden signs popped up in yards nearly all on the same day. Next day, some brave souls planted Trump signs in their yards.
Saturday there was a huge Trump car and truck parade through Olathe, a suburb of Kansas City. Cars paraded down a main thoroughfare and lasted over an hour. Don’t know how many cars and trucks, but best guess is 500-1000. Plus additional people standing on side of the road waving and holding thumbs up.
And cars that weren’t in the parade were honking and flashing lights!
Local news did not report on it, but tonight they did report on a Biden car parade that involved a “couple dozen” cars. Seriously, that’s how it was reported, with video.
I’ve never seen that kind of grass-roots locally organized support for any candidate at National or state level.
From an undisclosed Blue city in a Blue county in a [very pathetic] very Blue state: lame blm, biden/harris lawn signs sprinkled here and there. (Yawn. Just like 2016 for Billary “Von Pantsuit”)
And then…MAGA!! A rally was held in a neighboring town one day last month. And the following day out of nowhere in my city at least 10 vehicles with Trump, MAGA signs peacefully rolled down the street, honking their horns. The drivers were so cheerful. Pleasantly surprised! Then about a week ago, many miles north of me, 3 or so guys seen hanging “yuge” Trump 2020 (or was it MAGA ?) sign over the overpass. And then just today, saw a young african-american man wearing a Trump 2020 t shirt.
Winning!!!
Well, my home office is festooned with Trump signs and hats at least!
I’m in the south part of Phoenix where people raise their eyebrows when they hear my cross-streets. Very few national election signs – we had one household with plenty of ‘Trump 2020’ and ‘Latinos for Trump’ signs up, until another in the neighborhood wrote ‘vote BLM or die’ on the side of their camper. The Trump signs went down (sadly, probably too late to be noticed) but 90% of lawn signs I see are for local candidates rather than even state.
My local friends are fairly split between ‘well of course I’m going to vote for Trump’ and folks disappointed with his lack of progress on key issues (healthcare costs and monopolies, mostly). When I have the chance I point out his constant opposition means that anything he accomplishes is amazing, and that Biden is the only alternative; but there’s a few Trump 2016 who may not go Trump 2020.
I saw Sundances’ post and decided to do a quick survey of my area here in Vegas. Based on my non scientific drive by poll, if the election were to be held today.
Biden would come in distant third with 1 sign, behind garage sale with 6 signs, and Trump with 15.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
I’ve lived in New Orleans since late 2017, have voted here since 2018.
Just yesterday I got a huge foldout flyer from a politician running in my old district in New York City, containing a complete NYC absentee ballot request form for me to tear off, fill out, and mail in.
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave…
“No-one has ever won an election by relying on American voters to be stupid. ”
Not to change the subject, and no disrespect, Sundance, but how in the world did obummer win?
I will admit to a bit of uneasiness. I remember 2012 where the polls showed Romney in the lead – not a commanding lead but ahead none the less. And then —- Obama won. Of course 2016 had Hillary way ahead. The polls have been a joke for a long period but I remember 2012 and do believe it was a fraudulent election.
After the 1st debate, Romney didn’t even try.
Romney was in on the fix against him in 2012.
He probably voted against himself.
And Paul Ryan probably voted against both of them twice.
Perhaps he wrote in “Pierre Delecto”?
obummer is glib and seems sincere to some people. He ran against McCain who didn’t want the job and Romney who didn’t want to work at all. The media loved him and still do.
Unchecked fraud and more people were unaware of the media lies. I didn’t realize the extent until 2016.
Combining stupid, ignorant, brain washed and corrupt, one likely does get a majority today.
Reporting in on the #s front. To the other quantitative Treepers, please hear me out. In 2016, there was a massive bias in terms of oversampling democrats. That is still there, but it isn’t quite as pervasive. The biggest dynamic that people are not talking about polling wise is who is voting early, how many people are voting early, and what are the actual returns thus far. This is where you should be able to judge whether or not a poll is full of crap and all sorts of unexplained things will start jumping out at you. People who say they are voting early have a huge democratic bias in all of the polls. Recent University of North Florida survey with 3200 LV showed that only 30% were going to vote in Florida on Election day. They also indicate that in Florida Democrats will be 2X as likely to vote via mail in as Rs yet actual requests for ballots in Florida show Dems being 45% as likely to vote early. Get out and vote, but I have a suspicion this sort of behavior is playing out in poll after poll.
Drove from Fort Myers to Bartow and back the other day on SR17 in Florida. Had a democrat in the car with me. On the return trip he turned to me and said “You picked a route that had only Trump signs on it to screw with me, right?” We had lost count of Trump signs and had seen only 2 Biden signs. Grand total was 5 Biden signs on a 2.5 hour (one way) trip and I don’t know how many Trump signs.
In Georgia/Tennessee, drove from carrollton to chattanooga up hwy 27. Many many Trump signs, very few Biden signs. But of course lots of space between Trump signs. In Chattanooga, went thru area with George Floyd sprayed on a wall and other indicators. In the city will be lots of concentrated Biden support. I would guess that Trump needs to get very near 100% rural, I don’t know, at least 40% suburban (hopefully “peaceful” protests will get him more votes)? Urban/city? What would be his expected high water mark? 10-15%?
am in a upper middle class mostly white suburb of Columbus Ohio.Biden signs and there are not tons of them..out number Trump signs..but, there are a lot of professors, etc. here so..and all the people I know who are for Trump and there are lots..do not have bumper sticker or yard signs..obviously for a reason. and I eat dinner most every night at a restaurant in the neighboring burb which is really lib.and has been forever,it is full of profs, and gays…almost all of the wait staff young 20-21 yrs.. male and female are for Trump!!! I have a tablet that I use when I am out..a lot..and it has a big, Trump-Pence sticker of the front of it..and I am getting a lot of thumbs ups..from young and old…so that is encouraging!!!
I am located in a red rural area of Texas and might be too far removed from the sentiments in other parts of the state. However, I do have a feeling that the strategy to deliver Texas for Hiden/Embarrass is to create enthusiasm for down ballot candidates. If the Dimms can get out the vote for their congressional candidates, their candidates for Pres/VP and senator also will get the votes. The Dimms are working hard to finish flipping our purple state legislature to blue.
The lib money is flowing in in torrents. Far-left congressional candidate Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis is challenging Rep. Chip Roy. So far, her campaign has taken in approx $8 million.
In 2017, the Texas state legislature banned the straight party voting option. That should be helpful to the Republicans. A noticeable number of people tend to stop voting after they have checked the box for the last candidate of interest to them. In this election, I think the Dimms, in part, are trying to GOTV for congressional and state candidates so that voters will check boxes for up-ballot candidates for whom they would not have made the trip to the polls. Dimms are known to be more prone to vote straight party if given the option. Marc Elias and his crew sued in federal district court to restore straight party voting but the state won on federal appeal. (God bless the 5th circuit.)
I’ve seen ONE Biden/Harris sign all Summer and literally thousands for our President.
Rural Missouri outside St. Louis 90 miles
Huntsville Alabama. Many Doug Jones signs, with One Alabama as the slogan. Do these people understand the clever use of one versus united or together? One is for our way or no way, totalitarian way. There are quite a few Biden Harris signs as well. Drove through one nearby neighborhood and the entire street was Biden Harris. Creeped me out.
I for the first time in my 6 decades on this earth purchased a political sign. Trump Pence is displayed proudly and Tuberville reluctantly. Doug Jones ads are nothing but slanderous lies including President Trump saying veterans are awful and he doesn’t support pre existing conditions. Yup, I am disgusted so I am proudly displaying my signs. Not many signs in my particular neighborhood but pretty much 50 50 split.
Another trend in my neighborhood is 8 or so new neighbors, all from blue states. One from Washington DC. This area of Alabama is very cosmopolitan, but in my 10 years in Alabama I’ve never seen this type of influx.
Osceola county, Florida just south of Orlando and ground zero for Puerto Ricans relocating after Maria. LOTS more support for Trump than 2016. The eastern part of the county is more rural and plenty of yard signs and flags from St. Cloud down to Kenansville but I live in Kissimmee city limits and still see yard signs, flags and even trucks with flags around town. Latinos for Trump are much more enthusiastic this year! Car caravans and flag waving events are happening!
Out here in blue Oregon, 25 miles outside of Portland, no biden signs, a lot of Stars and Stripes flying proudly from pickup trucks, Trump 2020 signs and flags are around and in places you wouldn’t think would have them.
At work there’s a cadre of young people that are BLM and an equal cadre of older folks that are Trump supporters. I’ve mentioned to the marxist that they should all cash their paychecks and pool the money together and divide it evenly. Boy the inner capitalist of the more productive sure does come to life when it comes to supporting the less productive.
I am here in the southern end of Oregon(Jackson County). I drive a taxi, so I get around.
In ’16 I saw maybe 2 Hillary signs and at least 20 Trump signs. This year I’ve seen about 8 Biden signs and probably over a hundred Trump signs. The phenomenon that didn’t exist in ’16 were all the pickups with Trump and Blue Lives Matter banners. THEY ARE LEGION RIGHT NOW!
Jackson County is the largest red county in Oregon(200,000+). Trump won in 2016 by 10 points.
We also had a major fire here last month that burned several thousand buildings to the ground. Over 2300 housing units were destroyed. Not really sure how that will effect the vote as Oregon is all mail in voting.
Honolulu here..have not seen many Trump or Biden signs..mostly local political signs. There are many silent trump supporters
130 mile strech from SE Ohio to SW Ohio, Trump signs over Biden 6 to 1.
Lived in San Diego for 42 years before moving to North central Arkansas in 2018 and I’m so glad we got out when we did. This is Trump country for sure, yard signs and flags outnumber Biden by probably 25 to 1. I have to laugh every time I pass one home made Biden sign telling us we have to vote for Biden to control the bully. If that idiot only knew what he would be in for under Democrat control. Of course the vast majority of folks here are well armed and know how to use them, lots of vets. Only Little Rock has seen any major BLM protests. Too bad AR doesn’t have more electoral votes to contribute to the cause.
The reverse here – used to live in north-central AR, now in the OC. But not for much longer! You’re in a great place. ?
I’d be fairly surprised if Warren, Butler, and Clermont counties in Ohio weren’t pretty red. By hook or crook Hamilton will go for Biden. Not a lot of Biden signage between I-71 to Rt 35 OH to US 50 from Chillicothe OH all the way to Mt Storm WV. These are mostly rural areas with some small towns. I thought I didn’t detect as much enthusiasm in Clarksburg-Bridgeport WV. Majority of the signs up until the Taylor County line were local races. Saw a large Trump as Rambo depiction on someone’s roadside shed.
You can’t say there’s zero support for Biden. But I don’t see anyone hawking flags, signs, or tshirts in parking lots.
Just moved from Maine to Florida! Yay! First thing I did was register to vote. Brought a fistful of documents with me to prove I was eligible. I was disgusted that I needed none of it.Just had to fill out a form. Anyway, I haven’t interacted with too many people yet, but except for my lefty sister everyone else seems to be pro Trump. I agree, I think Florida will go red. Maine is a whole ‘nother story. It has it’s share of Trump supporters by my gut tells me he won’t take the whole state, maybe half. Susie is in very big trouble. I don’t think she is going back to DC next year.
BTW – Desantis was excellent on Levin tonight.
How soon do you think you’ll be removed from Maine’s voter rolls? Seems like with today’s technology, it should be easy to delete people off one state when they move to a new state and register there… and, for that matter, to delete them when they die.
I live in Philly burbs. There are more Biden sign than PTrump sign in liberal area. But Hillary had more sign and energy than Biden. These liberals are voting against PTrump, not for supporting Biden. These suburban liberal area are biggest hidden PTrump support.
Just wondering if PA allows in person early voting? I donot know what RNC is doing here as PA vote count is still allowed after election.
I understand that this means nothing as far as polling goes, but here in sparsely populated Marquette County in Northern Michigan, Biden signs are everywhere. I’ve been driving around the last few weeks and I’d estimate there are 10 Biden signs to every Trump sign. It kind of made me bit nervous when I saw all the Biden signs up here.
We were just up in Houghton this past weekend. Lots of both, but probably more Biden. I think it’s because Marquette and Houghton are college towns. Most of the rest of the UP was Trump, but there was a stretch of farms in northern Wisconsin that were pretty strong on Biden.
Is it where the Town of Marquette is? Lots of wealthy
(mis) educated retirees there. My mom had a wealthy
cousin that had a summer home in Marquette, and a
winter home on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Look up the article “The Upper Middle Class is ruining
America”. This election is testament to everything in that
article.
Northwest Ohio (Toledo). I early voted last Wednesday. At 10am, the line started outside in the parking lot and was just as long when I was done voting (40 minutes later). There were 35 voting machines and a dozen poll workers paired up checking I.D.’s etc at a healthy pace. It only took about a minute to swipe my driver’s license, sign and get the print out out my ballot key. Another minute or two to vote for PDJT, R’s for everything else, and F-NO on three tax proposals. So, they seamed ready to handle a crowd and a crowd it was.
What can I add; I’m in Arlington, TX. There’s one house in the neighborhood who supports Biden. I don’t approve, but they have been stealing their signs for 4 months. Knowing the neighborhood, probably kids. But you see all the American flags in front of the houses; no need for a Trump placard, though there are a lot of them now. Western Arlington. Stay Strong rest of the nation.
To those saying it’s a “class” vote due to signage in certain areas think again. This has nothing to due with money status- it’s concern of being vandalized. There are a lot of Republicans in our “upper class, white” neighborhood, but we are in blue Franklin County, OH, and there are some virtue signaling signs in our neighborhood. We are just laying low until Election Day and will let our voices be heard in the polling booth.
Hubby had the nerve to say to me “Let’s do early voting this year”. My response was “Oh, Hell no” (I don’t trust Franklin County at all).
Buckeye – Same thing here in my upper middle class neighborhood in a very conservative part of Utah. Very few signs for Trump because they get stolen as quickly as they are put up. People have taken to posting American flags outside their homes instead because at least those get left alone. If you see an American flag, you can pretty much count on there being a Trump supporter inside. When you actually get out and talk to your neighbors, most of them are voting for Trump but are quiet about it. Three Biden/Harris signs in the entire neighborhood and of course, no one touches those. But, you know, the tolerant left….

Libertarian influence, 2016 Presidential election was big
2016 election
Gary Johnson, Libertarian
(1) If not for the Libertarian vote, Trump would also have won:
New Hampshire, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Nevada, and Maine (6 states, 37 electoral votes).
(2) Without Gary Johnson, Trump would have won 343 to 195 electoral votes, instead of 306/232.
(3) Of the “Blue Wall” states – Wisc, Mich, Ohio and Penn – each which Trump barely won, Gary Johnson got over 100,000 votes in EACH state.
(4) Florida was close too. Gary Johnson pulled +200,000 votes, but Trump won it anyway.
Ross Perot got 19% of the popular vote(1992).Clinton won anyway.
Gary Johnson almost gave us Hillary Clinton(2016).

Misc.
“Collins(R Maine) and Gardner(R Colo) in trouble from the left in 2020” – We’ll see.
Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) and Sen. Cory Gardner (Colo) are up for 2020 reelection.
Both are from allegedly Blue States. But note that Trump would’ve carried both states, if not for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian.
See the map link, above.
I don’t no of any conservative libertarians that thinks much of the Libertarian Party. If their wan no Libertarian party the votes would have gone Democrat.
Libertatians don’t exist. A libertarian is a liberal who thinks he’s too smart to call himself one. In favour of abortion, mass immigration, wild promiscuity, govt hand outs and the rest. It’s just they also are expecting all that to come with low taxes so they must be a moderate.
They would hand this county to Biden on a silver platter and then blame it on social conservatives.
I disagree, I consider myself a libertarian, Republicans have adopted so much progressive ideology that they are far too liberal for my taste.
No, that’s not what defines libertarians. They are just minimal government anything. Just because there is a root of liber- doesn’t mean they are liber-als. Devils dictionary below is somewhat correct.( not about the progressive part)
Kanye West and Rocky Guerra are running as Libertarians in California. Most think their votes will be taken from Biden, which is as good as giving votes to Trump, I’m guessing..
I live near Bandera, Texas. Going to Austin, I see fewer Biden signs than in 2016. Driving around San Antonio I see zero Biden signs and zero Trump signs.
San Antonio mayor and City Council, despite some lunatic pressure, just agreed to fund the police. I will take that as a good sign.
Austin is nuts. Increased robberies and burglaries around University of Texas at Austin campus. Texas governor just deployed State DPS police there because Austin defunded their police.
DON’T AUSTIN MY TEXAS!!!
Austin is messing with Texas.
Southeast Wisconsin. Historically Conservative suburb. Biden signs outnumber Trump signs by 5 to 1.
However, I have knowledge that Trump signs are stolen especially on busy streets. I suspect that many don’t want to be subject to that or worse. There are many homes that have a sign for a R candidate for state or local offices. I suspect that they are also Trump supporters.
At my summer home in Traverse City MI, my Trump sign was stolen. Surprised in my neighborhood there are quite a few Biden signs, but would say roughly same amount amount of Trump signs. Hoping when I return, my Trump flag is still there. Downstate home I have down ballot (R) candidate signs displayed. More Trump signs than Biden
Irvine CA here. A few Biden signs, fewer Trump signs. My guess is the Biden people will put up signs but the Trump supporters generally keep it to themselves. Based on that, it looks like Trump has more support. I teach at a small private university and the e mails from university president, dean, chairman are sickening. I assure you the students are being indoctrinated big time. My department chairman even sent an e mail to all faculty offering to have someone talk to our students about this election. Many of my faculty colleagues are for Trump but dare not speak of it for fear of losing their job.
Irvine here too and in my neighborhood Trump signs outnumber Biden around 6-1. Someone has a Hiden flag that says:
Science
Over
Fiction
I’m trying to figure out the best way to block out “Over” on that one. Covert ops, dark of night, etc.
Slap a Bernie sticker over the Over 🙂
I live in Los Angeles County (California) and work as a police officer in a heavy populated Hispanic community (80%). The amount of vocal support is amazing. My wife is Hispanic and after talking with her and my Hispanic friends in the community, a lot of the support is cultural and perception. Biden is perceived as weak and President Trump shows strength. This is huge in their culture. Also, they are strongly against socialism. Also, the BLM movement has alienated them. The Hispanic support for President Trump is going to shock the hell out of people. I haven’t seen anything like it It’s night and day from 2016.
San Francisco and Berkeley: Of course no visible Trump signs, but very few Biden signs. Fewer than the low number of Hillary signs in 2016 that helped tell me Trump would win. Far fewer than Obama signs in 2012 and especially 2008. Verdict: low enthusiasm.
Drove from southeast rural PA into rural MD about 45 miles. Only saw about 4 Biden signs. About 20+ Trump signs. Also past two trucks with multiple Trump/US flags.
Down here in southeastern Louisiana we’ve
been having boat parades on the Amite and
Tickfaw rivers. We have to dodge the
hurricanes, of course!
I rode in one last weekend and at the end
we signed the petition to Recall John bel
Edwards. Very exciting.
North east CO here. I took a very windy walk and noticed 1 Biden sign sort of like a ‘we believe. It said: Vote for Science, Vote for people, Vote for Love…. Vote for Biden/Harris.
I Biden sign ^ and SIX Trump/Pence signs all new. There were a few Hillary signs in 2016 and two Trump signs. One of the Trump signs was stolen and destroyed in 2016. So the difference is 12 Trump signs 2020 vs. 2 in 2016. Maybe 5 Biden signs in 2020 and 5 Hillary signs in 2016. Most people have no signs but definitely more people flying American Flags and taking more care to fly the flag properly.
Northeast Georgia, Lake Hartwell, here; woods and all that good rural stuff.
It’s Trump, Collins and R’s all over the place. No worries. We’ve had boat rallies,Trump family and campaign down here a lot, Trump flags are flying across the lake and here on our deck!
I have my Trump shirt and hat (Red of course) but wear it here; not out to shop locally because I rarely go out locally, since I cannot deal with stupid….raises my blood pressure.
My biggest concern is scheduling our eye appointment after November 3rd, because we don’t wear masks and I am not taking an eye exam with a mask on!!!!!
The other concern is that properties are being bought up like a flash and houses cannot go up fast enough! Which is great for the economy…….but
We are very concerned that those moving here will be bringing their liberal ideas with them and soon we will be hearing about the pollution or smell from the Chicken Capital of the World…right down here….
And from what I can tell (from my neighbors and other locals) that kind of negativity doesn’t set real well down here.
So, when I read comments from our neighboring South Carolinians that Lindsey is in trouble and will not win another term, it does concern me and wonder where is Governor Henry McMaster?
I live near Victoria, Texas (central Texas Gulf Coast) and for the longest it appeared around here that Trump was running unopposed. Trump flags and large and small signs everywhere. Only recently have I spotted a couple of Biden signs. I have driven to Laredo, Texas several times in recent months and I have noticed something strange there. Very few Trump signs, but no Biden signs. Laredo is on the border and heavily Democrat, but no Biden signs–not even with the clusters of signs for local and state candidates. I think the Democrat’s dream of turning Texas Blue is a pipe-dream. This is a big state and the self-important yuppie progressives and California runaways in Austin cannot be the tail that wagged the dog the way Chicago wags Illinois or NYC wags NY state.
We read about a huge Trump car parade in Laredo a few weeks ago!
I had to resort to a 10 ft step ladder to tape my signs I still have from a 2015 rally onto the side of my house. Both times I’ve put out yard signs they were taken in the dead of night. I did call and report it to the police. There are NO Trump signs anywhere that I have seen. I live by the stupid people and there are many Biden and BLM signs everywhere. This is Hennepin County, MN.
But I will not be deterred. I have had a large Trump sticker on my mailbox at the street since 2015 and on my front door, side door and all my SUV windows.
There was a Trump caravan yesterday in Woodbury, MN with hundreds of cars on 94E. My daughter said every yard without a Trump sign is a Trump voter.
I live in about the most Republican parts of Utah. No Trump signs or Biden signs. There are a lot of Anti-Trump Republicans but they are holding their tongues. General word is that any signs will be stolen.
I will say, if President Trump wins Florida then he wins Ohio and North Carolina. If he wins Ohio, he wins Michigan. If he wins Michigan then he wins Pennsylvania. At that point we have 2016 again.
Sadly, I also live in the most Dem part of Utah, Park City. With the influx of Texas and California over the last 20 years, that town is definitely blue. Sad to think that the reddest state in the country in 2000 election has so many anti Trumpers in your part (St. George?) and so many dems moving out of their S@#$ hole states to pollute red states.
Logan.
I actually have 2 cents to add. Living here in the nucleus of the Dem world, Santa Monica, CA. I am a physician with Hollywood types. So bluer than blue. My lip is pretty much bitten off over the last 3 years. I need to generate income so I just simply don’t engage. Last month, a patient that is a Hollywood mom, (daughter is an actress and mom plays the quintessential Brooke Shield’s mom pathology and I’ve listened countless times to her spouting about blue this and blue that for years). So last month, I’m driving to work and on the phone with her. She asks some covid questions and I try to stay neutral. She then says all her friends are voting for Trump and she is too. “They (the dems) have been lying to us about everything!” I almost crashed the car! Hell has frozen over. If that wasn’t a barometer. It truly is my only hope. Thanks SUNDANCE for some of the best articles I’ve read about anything to do with the bottom, bottom line.
Upstate NY between Rochester and Syracuse, signs for Biden magically appeared after the Harris decision, often in triplet formation—middle and far edges of the lawn to look like three houses are supporting the Communist Party instead of one. Saw only one B/H flag—on a porch with flanking American flags and it just looked weird.
The nearby ‘Republicans for Biden’ sign guy added a bunch more ‘Republicans for Biden’ signs, maybe he got a deal when nobody else in the USA wanted them.
Trump and Trump/Pence signs and flags dominate regions outside of towns but are also running even in villages, so overall maybe 6/1 ratio for MAGA. Lots of American flags flying too. And plenty of Republican local election signs with or without Trump 2020 amongst ’em.
Side note, in 2016 there were very few Hillary signs and I don’t recall seeing any Trump signs or flags before the election. (There were some I’m With Her bumper stickers. Haven’t noted any Biden bumper stickers, but several funny ‘Trumper Stickers’ as a previous poster dubbed them.)
Out on a local river saw a couple of decked-out boats that clearly have been to Trump parades!!
River elf – so glad to see another local traveler. I am also between Rochester and Syracuse and echo your comments.
SE Liberty County Tx it’s at least 98 to 1 President Trump signs to Biden. Not even close. I drove thru City of Liberty Wal-Mart yesterday, 2 Biden vs 14 President Trump bumper stickers. I live in Deplorable Trump country…
My street is 90% Trump. I’m still talking and associating with each household weekly. Old codger still keeping guard. Crazy Ed now let’s me carry his groceries inside even though he’s afraid to go to the grocery store, Mrs. T is shopping on her own again. Mom is still in lockdown. Too many cormodalities. Single mom Susan is paying even more attention and still undecided and asks for security if all goes bad. I won’t tell her how to vote and explain the differences between (R) & (d). Beginning yesterday I decided to talk to her daily.
My street is evenly racially mixed too. 90% Trump.
Rural Tx.
Houston has announced to hiring 400 LOE over that next 6 months. Even the d’s in the big city West of me notice the citizens preference of safety 1st…
