Dancing In To Week #2

Much to the chagrin of President Stompy Feet, Democrats, left-wing liberals and their water-carrying media, and despite the 24/7 drumbeat of doom and gloom, the vast majority of Americans can see straight through the ruse.   “The Shutdown That Doesn’t Actually Shut Down Anything”….
Just like the non-existent end of the world doom and gloom from Sequester Cut predictions, the federal shutdown doesn’t actually stop anything.
It was as a direct consequence that ‘We The People’ didn’t buy into the faux-sequester prophecy that President Stompy Feet ordered numerous federally authorized examples to be carried out.  In essence,  intentional infliction of distress through the manipulation of semi public private enterprises which make up many aspects of life in American society.
This is, like all Obamanations, just a strategy, and so far the American People are refusing to be intimidated.

Luckily, the GOP has not rushed to concede.  YET.
Their pause, whether accidental or on purpose, has allowed millions of Americans to express their keen understanding of what is playing out.   In turn, perhaps, this has awakened the beltway crowd to recognize we should be given far more credit than their previous ideological beliefs.   Perhaps, just perhaps, the Stockholm Syndrome that infects the GOP has been diminished as they listen to the shouts outside the beltway.
Time will tell.
As an engaged electorate looks on, makes calls, sends emails, and contacts their representatives, the Freshman Class of Tea Party members -not leaders, but members- needs to be appreciated and recognized for holding the line amid the face of extreme adversity.   Well done.   But don’t get too slap-happy with yourself.
Robert the Bruce only changed his approach AFTER his guilt overwhelmed him.   Our current GOP has not reached that level of acceptance.   Their comfort level is still grounded in their historical defeatist principles of concession and acquiescence.    It will take long-term resolve to fundamental principles to change that – if ever.

What will this week bring? That’s anyone’s guess…..
….But if the internal polling from the White House continues to show their messaging is not working, you can guarantee they will change direction. The first indicator for such a change would be Harry Reid being told to tone it down, and perhaps even schedule a meeting with John Boehner.
The radical left’s general preference is to double down. It’s highly likely that Denis McDonough, the “fixer” and key Stompy loyalist, is the driving decision maker; obviously together with Valerie Jarrett. But their collective decision to shut down private enterprise, merely because it exists on federal land, might just backfire….. However, it will only backfire in significant enough proportions *if* the legacy media were to report on the petulant behaviors and give examples of the historic conduct. We have not seen that yet.
So far the communication message, which outlines the childish behavior, is limited to Social Media, the Blogs, and new media.   But sooner or later, if time continues, there is always a risk that one of the legacy media outlets might just put down the Kool-Aid jug and stop protecting the administration.
So, we wait and see….. steel eyed, and bayonets fixed.
