Do you really think the Obama administration psychologically thinks this way?  OR, are they just intentionally lying and misleading people?   Here is what VP Biden Said:

(MSNBC) “The biggest thing that’s happened, the president has been able to unite the world including Russia and China.  In continuing to ostracize and to isolate Iran. So the truth is, and I really mean this, Rachel, the talk about the projection, the capacity of [Iran] to project power in the Gulf is actually diminished. They are less feared. They are less — they have less influence than they have had any time, I would argue, in the last 20 years.

And there will be a relationship between Iraq and Iran because they have a very long border. They will trade. They should have a normal relationship. But they are not allies.”

Vice President Joe Biden told Rachel Maddow in an interview that aired Tuesday night on MSNBC.

Lets consider reality.  

Iran literally eliminated the “green party”, the opposition movement to the Imadinnerjacket rule.  They actually banned the party and killed the protesters and supporters while Obama watched them killed in 2009.  When asked why he didn’t intervene Obama said he did not want to lose the opportunity to work with Iranian leadership Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and offered his “outstretched hand, with unclenched fist”.

The Iranians laughed in his face and  Ahmadinejad traveled to the United Nations in New York just for the opportunity to publicly mock and scoff Obama and the United States during his 2010 speech.

The Iranians specifically and intentionally put out a public global statement saying they would specifically seek the elimination of the Nation State of Israel, and would pursue strategic weapons to help them in their goal of eliminating the Zionists.

The Iranians increased their funding for Palestinian ‘Hamas’ terrorists with money and weapons including short-range rockets to fire upon Israel.

The Iranians increased their visibility and support for Syria with both military and financial assistance.   Iran sent soldiers and officers to Syria to assist President Bashar al-Assad in containment of his own people including killing thousands of protesters against the regime.

The Iranians have established visible ties with Russia and China, and entered into agreements with both countries for economic trade including Iranian oil which is specifically developed and resourced for shipment to Russia and China.  In turn Russia has provided military and nuclear technology to assist Iran in development of a nuclear weapon, as well as multiple components for the neccessary centrifuges.

The Iranians have scoffed at embargo measures from the United States, and UN resolutions are about as impactful as the paper they are written upon.   Economic sanctions are not working despite the narrative drawn by US administration officials.  While simultaneously Iran has continued advancing toward creating a nuclear weapon and building a nuclear arsenal.

In the summer of 2011 with specific intent to provoke Israel and the United States Iran moved a war ship through the Suez Canal loaded with cargo for Gaza and to participate in war games manuevers off the coast of Israel.

Both Egypt and Libyan victorious Islamist rebellion leaders from the Muslim Brotherhood and Justice Abdel Jalil have openly expressed appreciation for Iranian leadership in assisting them to overthrow the “westernized friendly” governments of Hosni Mubarak and Muammar Gaddafi respectively.  Turkey’s prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has open and frequent communication with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and has publicly praised their relationship and coordinated goals.

The weakly installed Iraqi President Al-Maliki is openly friendly to Iran and Ahmadinejad out of a necessary sense of self-preservation.   Everyone who has watched the Middle East for any length of time knows that now the Baathists are no longer in control of Iraq, Iran  will move in to take a leadership role of influence once the full withdrawal of US forces takes place.

The Iranians, it can be reasonably inferred, have used Russian transmission jamming/blocking technology to capture a US spy drone and begin a process of reverse engineering with help from both of their allies in China and Russia who benefit greatly.  When President Obama publicly asked for it back Mahmoud Ahmadinejad jumped at the opportunity to go on state controlled TV and laugh openly at Obama.

The Iranians are fueling and supporting the radical Taliban leadership within Pakistan to exert even more influence and pressure upon Pakistani government to stop their cooperation with the United States.   Internal pressures within Pakistan, specifically supported by Iran and Ahmadinejad are weakening United States influence and capacity.

Yet Joe Biden will go on MSNBC TV and state “because of Obama Iran is less feared”…..
