How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. (Third Bite)
There is so much inconsistency, and fabrication, surrounding the “life story narrative” of Obama it can be overwhelming to try to absorb. So even though we will continue the comprehensive discovery we are also going to add a new daily section to our blog. Each day we will highlight a discrepancy. Just one. Are they lies? You decide. The objective is just to show the disconnected narrative, not to try to figure out how it got into place or why it is there. We will just point out one discrepancy every day. Feel free to engage your progressive friends in trying to explain why they exist. The key to discovery is always asking why? “Why” is a powerful word because it eventually reveals the truth. So here is example #3.
It is often mentioned with media types, supporters, and Obama advocates that he attended Columbia University. A highly reputable university in New York. This is often used as an example of how intellectual he is, how smart he is, and how brilliant his analytical mind is. Yesterday we showed you evidence that Obama did indeed attend Columbia from September 1982 through May 1983 (two semesters) and then graduated. This is evidenced through a National Student Clearing House degree verification system. However, there are numerous shadows, clouds, and questions surrounding his attendance. That is todays topic: Discrepancy #3.
Which Columbia? – Obama attended Columbia School of General Studies. If a General Studies student completes enough courses, and/or has other credits from elsewhere accepted, a student can receive a degree. People confuse Columbia University, Columbia College, and Columbia General Studies. A big university system has many different schools and colleges attached. Obama Attended the Columbia General Studies program.
Of course, what Columbia University will not release is exactly what Obama actually did while in their General Studies degree program.
Undergraduate education at Columbia is offered through Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies. Undergraduate programs are offered by two affiliated institutions, Barnard College and Jewish Theological Seminary. Columbia University provides post-graduate education through thirteen graduate and professional schools and a school of continuing education. Three affiliated schools also offer post-graduate programs.
Who?
Obama graduated from Columbia College in 1983, and after spending a year in New York, moved to Chicago. Wayne Allyn Root 1983 class president says:
“I don’t know a single person at Columbia that knows him, and they all know me. I don’t have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! … Nobody recalls him. I’m not exaggerating, I’m not kidding.
Questioner: Were you the exact same class?
Mr. Root: Class of ’83 political science, pre-law Columbia University. You don’t get more exact than that. Never met him in my life, don’t know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, 20th reunion, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! Who was he, and five years ago, nobody even knew who he was… the guy who writes the class notes, who’s kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange? It’s very strange…
When asked about his undergraduate training at Columbia University, The New Times states that Obama “declined repeated requests to talk about his New York years, release his Columbia transcript or identify even a single fellow student, co-worker, roommate or friend from those years.”
None of his classmates remember Obama. He’s not in the yearbook. Columbia couldn’t find a picture of him at school. What can be said with some certainty is that Mr. Obama lived “off campus” while at Columbia in 1982-83 and made few friends. Fox News contacted some 400 of his classmates and found no one who remembered him. He had transferred from Occidental College in California after his sophomore year because, he told the Boston Globe in 1990:
“I was concerned with urban issues and I wanted to be around more black folks in big cities.”
Here is an in-depth interview with Wayne Allen Root.
1982 Columbia University – Obama has revealed almost nothing about his claimed last two years as an undergraduate at Columbia University’s Columbia College. Note the wording “claimed last two years”. We specifically state “claimed” because despite the Obama narrative of two years attendance Columbia records only show him attending from September 1982 to May 1983 when he graduated. One School Year.
“I stopped getting high. I ran 3 miles a day and fasted on Sundays. For the first time in years I applied myself to my studies and started keeping a journal of daily reflections and very bad poetry,” he wrote in “Dreams.”
Obama has said he was involved with the Black Students Organization, which emerged in the 1960s in response to a growing black student population at Columbia. Undergraduates formed the Student Afro-American Society,” which was concerned with the affairs of black students and issues of the greater black community.” The Coalition for a Free South Africa (CFSA), began as a Black Students’ Organization committee to promote Columbia University’s divestment in stock in companies doing business in South Africa.
Coalition for a Free South Africa, which split from the Black Students’ Organization in 1981, was a loosely structured group with a predominantly black steering committee of about a dozen individuals who made decisions by consensus, and a less active circle of about fifty students who attended meetings and the group’s protests and educational events.” Early CFSA leaders were Danny Armstrong, a Columbia College student who played forward for Columbia’s basketball team, and Barbara Ransby, a student from the School of General Studies.

Yet, not one member of the Columbia University Black Students’ Organization can remember ever seeing, hearing, or knowing of Barack Obama. NOT ONE.
Lastly, it is expected and customary that lifetime associations or influences would celebrate the successful accomplishment of one of their own. Indeed all schools attended by a President always celebrate their connection to them. The same was true with Obama’s alma maters, but with a slight twist. From his high school to his graduate school everyone claimed a small piece of the president – at gatherings throughout the inaugural week:
Hawaiian Punahou Primary School alum Steve Case, founder of America Online, hosted a brunch for about 250 people, many of whom made the trek to DC from Hawaii.
Occidental College’s held a gathering on January 19th 2009 for about 250 people, including alum and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Steve Coll. “The reaction was terrific,” said Jim Jacobs, Occidental’s director of alumni relations, saying their 250 reservations are “were than we ever anticipated” for the free celebration.
More than 1,000 Harvard Law School grads paid $100 per ticket to attend a Sunday, Jan. 18th 2009 brunch at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel, once a common place to spot President Abraham Lincoln. It was hosted by the school’s dean, who was tapped as U.S. Solicitor General, and then appointed to the Supreme Court. Elena Kagan.
Only Columbia didn’t do anything, nothing, no party, no event, no gala, nothing for their presidential graduate. What’s the story with Columbia? Why is it that nobody — absolutely nobody — remembers Obama at Columbia College? Columbia College of Columbia University is a small school. Current enrollment is 4,100. Remember Big Man On Campus and Class President Wayne Allyn Root says:
“I don’t know a single person at Columbia that knows him, and they all know me. I don’t have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! … Nobody recalls him. I’m not exaggerating, I’m not kidding.
Class President Wayne Allyn Root graduated from Columbia College in 1983 at the exact date of Obama, Majoring in the exact same major (political science) with the same emphasis (pre-law). Obama has never attended a post graduation reunion, celebration, or any other Columbia Alumni event. EVER. Hmmm?
- Is that strange?
- Did Obama actually attend Columbia?
- Would’nt someone, even just one person, remember him?
- Is this the reason Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and President Obama are so insistent about NOT releasing any transcripts or attendance records?
- Wonder how he afforded to pay out-of-state tuition? Said numerous times he was broke. He also never claimed permanent residency in New York that anyone can identify. Even when he attended Occidental College he retained and address in Hawaii as his permanent residence.
And curiosor also is that Obama has stated he cannot remember his Columbia Thesis topic, what it was about, where it was written, nor did he retain any copy of it. He simply cannot recall it…. At least that was his claim in 2007/2008′. Who doesn’t remember their Thesis subject? Seriously? ……. But alas, that specific subject is for another day…
