Most reasonable people would see the current IRS claims “we can’t find the missing emails” as essentially ridiculous at face value.  Of course the IRS could.    The reason they won’t is likely because of the content therein.
And that’s where things get sketchy.

The lead public face in the deception, Lois Lerner, and the secondary face, IRS commissioner John Koskinen, have the benefit of a blind and politically weaponized Federal Department of Justice (via U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder) with no interest in investigating them or their activity.
Because of the inherent risk to the White House -and the sheer scope of the larger named Democrats in office- the Justice Department (AG Eric Holder) will do nothing to bring the targeting scheme to sunlight.
It’s brutally obvious from the behavior of Lois Lerner and Commissioner Koskinen they are fully cognizant of this fortunate political alignment.
So what alternatives are available ?

There may well be a lot of crowdsourcing and deconstructing of the insufferable IRS “BS” happening around various blogs and websites.  But can any of it really make a difference when the liberal media show no vested interest to expose their anointed one, President Obama; and the legal authority, Eric Holder, has an ideologically similar goal to avoid ?

(via American Thinker) Is that a smoking gun I smell? It turns out the IRS contracted with a company that provides email backup services starting in 2005. This first came to light in the Twitter feed of moregenr, who noticed that the IRS appears on the client list of email archiving service provider Sonasoft.


This was was picked up by Peter Suderman of Reason, who writes:

The IRS had a contract with email backup service vendor Sonasoft starting in 2005,according to FedSpending.org, which lists the contract as being for “automatic data processing services.” Sonasoft’s motto is “email archiving done right,” and the company lists the IRS as a customer.

In 2009, Sonasoft even sent out a Tweet advertising its work for the IRS. (continue reading)

Keeping in mind the establishment GOP, John Boehner, Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, John McCain et al, together with K-Street lobbyists and The U.S. Chamber of Commerce led by Tom Donohue, all benefit from the IRS targeting conservative groups.
The professional political class hold no interest or benefit from exposing the Tea Party targeting – because the diminishment of the Tea Party influence also helps them retain their positions.
So how exactly is this scheme to be exposed ?
