The Emphasis Is On The Wrong Syllable – Michael Sam being selected at all (in the 7th round of the NFL Draft – 2nd to last pick) is just another hurdle for football fans.

Why?  Arguably, without the gay orientation he would not have been drafted.

His NFL combine results were no better than average and he’s slow on ‘turning the corner speed’.  Which, if he was not an outside pass rushing linebacker, would not be so much an issue; except  it is.

Luckily, for his lack of NFL football skill, Michael Sam is also gay.   Apparently it’s important to a lot of people that a gay man play in the NFL. 

In the military the progressives are working diligently to change the PT standards so that weaker soldiers can pass physical and strength tests and be permitted to go to war with stronger men.

#WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong – What other nation would willingly want to lower the actual strength of their fighting force, other than a progressive nation?

So Michael Sam was given a generous ‘affirmative-action-like’ boost for his lack of skills.

Unfortunately the sum truth of that reality means he was actually drafted because he’s gay, not because he’s considered an athletically gifted potential NFL linebacker.

Sam has an opportunity because of his non-football status.    However, between now and August he’s got to radically improve that football skill aspect; or else he’ll be just another body piled on the #hashtag of progressive social failure.

At least this time, the risk to others is almost non-existent.
