President Obama, and more aptly President Obama’s handlers, are formulating the campaign strategy; mixing it up a bit.
The attacks against Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are not gaining the traction they expected. Conversely the critiques against President Obama are striking a central nerve with the electorate. In essence Romney is winning public opinion and President Obama is losing.
So the Alexrod, Plouffe, Jarrett ===> DNC operatives and spinmasters, Wasserman-Schultz, Stephanie Cutter ===> Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, strategy is to deflect back to the personable parent model. President Obama “Daddy”, “Father”, “Husband”, etc. AND the media is all too happy to sell the dopey wonderous Ward Cleaver imagery all over again.
The goal is to use “warm and fuzzy” Obama the dutiful imagery to deflect attention away from the factual reasoning for his failed presidency: incompetence and ideological selfishness.
A sampling can be first witnessed tomorrow in the example of an upcoming CNN Jessica Yellin produced documentary about the President “Obama Revealed”: Via Breitbart
[…] she (Yellin) interviewed Obama for a forthcoming documentary and asked him why he did not do more outreach to Republicans in the beginning of his term to bridge the divides Obama often rails against.
Yellin said Obama told her one of the reasons he did not was because he wanted to spend more time at home with his kids and family.
“He was trying to spend some time at home with his family in the evenings and on the weekends,” Yellin said.
Yellin noted Obama suggested things may be different in the second term when his kids are older.

We actually saw this coming several weeks ago. Team Obama has a massive multi-pronged re-election strategy and the central thread that binds it all together is “deflection”. Avoidance of President Obama’s record at all costs, combined with excuses for any failure cited by opposition within that record.
The appeal to the electorate from all Campaign Obama (OFA) objectives will be aimed at the heart. They know they cannot win under the exposure of their radical ideology. So everything will be aimed at the optics of a softened image.
Paint the opposition, and the opposing party people, as “radical” or the catch phrase “extremists” [The Alinsky Method]; paint your candidate as “moderate” by appealing to the heart [The ‘wounded’ poor Obama]; and deflect attention away from failure at all costs.
But the reality of the Obama presidency still exists:
$16 Trillion in debt and failure to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term
First ever downgrading of the US securities Credit Rating
24 Million more Americans out of work than when he took office
“Real Unemployment” well over 16% and double that for new college graduates.
Skyrocketing energy costs as a result of his EPA regulatory policy.
25 Million more Americans receiving food stamps.
Massive Tax Increases about to take effect on all Americans.
and Obamacare.
