President Trump has signed an executive order [SEE HERE] establishing the United States Space Academy. “To continue to lead the world in space exploration and technology, while securing and defending our national interests in space, the Nation must prepare the next generation of astronauts, scientists, engineers, operators, entrepreneurs, civil servants, and warfighters and ensure that they are capable of advancing American interests in space.”
The Order establishes the Presidential Commission on the United States Space Academy, chaired by the NASA Administrator. [FACT SHEET] The Commission will advise and assist the President on establishing the United States Space Academy, a proposed NASA-led federal academy dedicated to combining rigorous technical education with leadership development, discipline, and a durable commitment to public service.
The United States Space Academy will combine rigorous technical education with leadership development and public service, preparing graduates for careers supporting America’s military, civil, and broader space enterprise. (read more)

BUILDING AMERICAN STRENGTH AND DRIVING ACHIEVEMENT: President Trump has demonstrated consistent leadership as a driving force for American strength and achievement in space.
-
- President Trump spearheaded the establishment of the Space Force, the first new branch of the Armed Forces since the creation of the Air Force more than 70 years ago. The Space Force is critical to preparing the Department of War for evolving warfighting conditions and expanding our capabilities.
- During his first term, President Trump issued seven groundbreaking Space Policy Directives that instructed NASA to return American astronauts to the Moon and beyond through the Artemis Program, reformed our Nation’s commercial space regulatory framework, established cybersecurity principles for space systems, and much more.
-
-
- In April 2026, America sent astronauts on Artemis II to lunar orbit for the first time in over 50 years.
- In August 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order enabling competition in the commercial space industry to ensure the United States maintains its leading role in the commercial use of space.
- In December 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order setting a bold vision for an America First space policy to ensure the United States leads the world in space exploration, security, and commerce.
- In July 2026, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a significant proposed rulemaking to waive burdensome environmental reviews for launch infrastructure and enable a commercial space launch renaissance.
- In August 2026, President Trump signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum reinvigorating America’s leadership in space transportation and enabling over 1,000 launches and reentries on American soil annually by 2030.

Please do not establish this in a blue state, especially Colorado.
Trying to figure out how democrats will call this “racist”.
I’m sure they will, I just don’t know how yet.
Unless they call it “racist” for not being placed in a blue state?
Or maybe “he’s training for war against aliens and that’s RACIST!”.
Unless they go with the nazi route. It’s usually one or the other if not both.
Regardless, this should go in a red state and be taken seriously.
Bc too many white folks will apply and maybe blacks coming out of Chiraq HS can’t read or write
‘maybe’
It needs to be in Florida, naturally.
The Air Force Academy is already there. The most logical location would be Texas or Florida.
UBQfT
Care to explain?
Well, there certainly shouldn’t be any problem finding plenty of space cadets coming out of our university system.
where the hell is wordman?
NASA (Not A Space Agency)
Yep. And I say this having a grandfather who worked undercover on several well known “NASA” projects. 🤫
Big mistake. The next Democrat who becomes president will turn it into yet another globalist, DEI-infested, H-1B laden Democrat money laundering agency.
Because one has enemies is a poor excuse for failing to lead and work for worthwhile goals.
Starfleet Academy!
Cool insignia.
New show is worst Trek ever.
Kobayashi Maru awaits the fist class.
In another timeline I would have applied.
Hopefully it won’t be overrun by Chinese and Islamist militants that want to destroy our country from within.
“dedicated to combining rigorous technical education with leadership development, discipline, and a durable commitment to public service.”
Hear, hear!! 👍
Since when does the military allow hair on the collars?
These days you never know who you will meet at the gedunk.
…or out over the ocean.
Watched earlier, the group behind him were the most stone-faced group ever. Didn’t smile-like they were forced to attend. Weird
I noticed that too…all D voters
I received a notice one time…it said..”Greeting: from the President of the United States”. They sent me on a nice Senior Class field trip to Vietnam.
POTUS Trump will pick 🔴state…maybe Texas, Florida or Alabama.
How exciting
God bless 🇺🇸
Mobile Infantry does the dying.
Fleet just does the flying.
Join the Mobile Infantry and save the world.
Service guarantees citizenship.
Yeah, I’ll sit this one out…
Why can’t this be done by the private sector, which is outpacing government efforts. Enlarging the bloated federal workforce in an era of exploding national debt makes no sense whatsoever.
I would think it would be located in Alabama, Rocket City. NASA R&D already there
It will work if there is no DEI, no need for 50/50 men and women, and no one who is confused about whether they are male or female.
100% merit-based, otherwise you will have Starfleet Academy.
“…an academic and leadership curriculum, including recommendations for degree programs,
experiential training, and development programs…”
if this is intended as a degree program,
won’t they be in competition with MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Caltech,
Georgia Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon, and the like?
will students be educated and trained by the best and the brightest in their respective fields?
(NASA’s reputation has not flourished in recent years – or decades).
do they have any rainmakers to attract enrollees?
and how many of the best and brightest engineers and tech types
will want to fulfill a military service requirement?
how transferable to private industry might the various degrees be,
i.e.: are future job prospects tied solely to NASA (or SpaceX 😆)?
and are all those chinese birth tourism babies, now U.S. citizens, sending in their applications NOW?
not ashamed to say i LOVE PT.
he reaches for the stars – literally!
and i understand the “grow your own” idea,
and the desire to get NASA back on track.
the recruitment of gamers into the FAA air traffic controller program was inspired.
they will work this out.
but perhaps some form of a hybrid program to start might ensure the kind of results intended?
get the very best physicists, aeronautical engineers, etc. on board
and let the students take their classes wherever that might be.
then bring ’em back for the stuff NASA does best.
just my humble, REALLY humble, opinion – i don’t even like to fly!🤣

. “The Space Force is critical to preparing the Department of War for evolving warfighting conditions and expanding our capabilities.”
Our amazing President is not just making us safe again but ensuring it will be for future generations. He’s so far ahead of anyone else it’s hard to comprehend. Wars aren’t going to be fought on the ground.
