Did anyone else notice the color assigned to the “Yes” vote was red and the color assigned to the “No”” vote was blue? This was a scam of incredible proportion. And yes I think some voters would see the color red and assume it’s Republican.
Colors notwithstanding, the messaging around the signs was instructive. The Dems message was “stop the MAGA takeover.” The language on republican signs was much more vague and ambiguous.
The bigger issue is the 500k republican voters who stayed home, evidently not caring about becoming the new poster children for “taxation without representation.” On the ground in semi-rural VA, the bungling of the Epstein files and a war of election with Iran driving gas prices toward $5/gal has muted a lot of republican support.
Yes, we’re that stupid in Virginia.
And now Virginia, home of Thomas Jefferson.
I’ve never before been ashamed to be a Virginian. (Well maybe during Northam’s tenure. ) And the word stupid is required to explain the ease with which voters were persuaded/manipulated.

Iran attacks 3rd ship in Strait of Hormuz

That may well be the case, but you can’t blame turnout failure on fraud. Fewer ballots were cast in the most consequential vote in modern VA history than in our last Gubernatorial election, and that with a terrible candidate. Half a million fewer ballots were cast over this measure than voted for Trump.
Someone in an earlier comment here noted that No being blue and Yes being red might have confused many. No doubt it was intendet to.
Same thing happens in Nevada, the whole State votes majority red while one county, where Las Vegas is, votes blue and we have to put up with all the Democrats who moved to the Vegas area and never changed their voting habits thinking it wasn’t their California-based communist ideology that caused them to move out of State in the first place. And life goes on.
People need to stop moving to other States to get away from the bad moves their politics created but instead, stay and fight to change things.
