There is a strong tendency to look at one’s own work and declare that all is well while missing that it isn’t. I am too often guilty of such.
But seriously, placing an edit insertion so that the letter “d” is right below the letter “v” making it look like the letter “y”. Making living look like …
When I type huge blocks of numbers into a computer, and go back over them to check for errors, I have to switch the order, or I will miss those errors. If I entered columns I have to check rows, or vice a versa. Or I will miss stupid, blatant, clearer that clear, errors. I will even enter 79.56 as 79 cr 56 and miss that there are 2 entries without decimals and too many entries in the column.
I have never understood this blindness, just known that I have to guard against it. As such, I don’t blame whoever typeset it to make it look wrong. And I fully understand how they would miss it in review.
They could have cleared it up with smaller letters, or shifting them right to be over the deletions, or reformatted to put more space between the insertions and the title. But you will never correct what your eyes refuse to see.

Biography: US Founding Father Benjamin Franklin worked his way up from working class origins to prominence as a writer and publisher of newspapers before becoming a voice for American interests in Europe and Ambassador to France.
He one of the Committee of Five that drafted the US Declaration of Independence and became the US’s first Postmaster General in 1776.
An abolitionist toward the end of this life, he freed his two slaves.

Biography: Samuel Morey was an American inventor credited with important advances in steam and internal combustion engine technology. Though less well-known than contemporaries like Robert Fulton, Morey was a significant figure in early American engineering.
Morey was initially interested in steam engines and their application in the realm of water-based transport. His experiments led to a patented design for a steam-powered paddlewheel, an early example of applying steam power to boats.
One of Morey’s most significant contributions was the development of the internal combustion engine. He was awarded a patent in 1826 for a “Gas or Vapor Engine,” one of the earliest examples of an internal combustion engine using a gas and air mixture.
His engine used a volatile liquid, like alcohol or turpentine, which was vaporized and then ignited to produce a controlled explosion that drove a piston. Although rudimentary by today’s standards, it was a pioneering concept at the time.

Many years ago when much younger I carried salvation tracts (Chick) around with me, handing them out and leaving them everywhere I went.
One morning, walking home after a stressful night at work, I passed a bus stop where a woman waited alone. Eager to get home I kept walking.
“Give her one.”
I ignored.
“Give her one.”
“I can’t save the world!” I shouted back and kept walking.
The next morning I decided to take a cab home from work. At a crosswalk while waiting for the light to change, a speeding car sideswiped us. Not wearing a seatbelt I was thrown hard bouncing around in the back hitting my head and neck, paralyzing me.
Instantly I knew it was discipline for my rebellion the day before.
A stretcher and ambulance delivered me to the hospital emergency room, which discharged me that afternoon.
“You’re fine.”
And indeed I was. Paralysis gone, all functions back to normal, only a headbump.
It was my first (and only) car accident. Praise the Lord!

COMMENTARY FOR LUKE 12:6 PLUS
Christ reproves the interpreters of the law. (1-12) A caution against covetousness The parable of the rich man. (13-21) Worldly care reproved. (22-40) Watchfulness enforced. (41-53) A warning to be reconciled to God. (54-59)1-12 A firm belief of the doctrine of God’s universal providence, and the extent of it, would satisfy us when in peril, and encourage us to trust God in the way of duty. Providence takes notice of the meanest creatures, even of the sparrows, and therefore of the smallest interests of the disciples of Christ. Those who confess Christ now, shall be owned by him in the great day, before the angels of God. To deter us from denying Christ, and deserting his truths and ways, we are here assured that those who deny Christ, though they may thus save life itself, and though they may gain a kingdom by it, will be great losers at last; for Christ will not know them, will not own them, nor show them favour. But let no trembling, penitent backslider doubt of obtaining forgiveness. This is far different from the determined enmity that is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, which shall never be forgiven, because it will never be repented of.
13-21 Christ’s kingdom is spiritual, and not of this world. Christianity does not meddle with politics; it obliges all to do justly, but wordly dominion is not founded in grace. It does not encourage expectations of worldly advantages by religion. The rewards of Christ’s disciples are of another nature. Covetousness is a sin we need constantly to be warned against; for happiness and comfort do not depend on the wealth of this world. The things of the world will not satisfy the desires of a soul. Here is a parable, which shows the folly of carnal worldling while they live, and their misery when they die. The character drawn is exactly that of a prudent, worldly man, who has no grateful regard to the providence of God, nor any right thought of the uncertainty of human affairs, the worth of his soul, or the importance of eternity. How many, even among professed Christians, point out similar characters as models for imitation, and proper persons to form connexions with! We mistake if we think that thoughts are hid, and thoughts are free. When he saw a great crop upon his ground, instead of thanking God for it, or rejoicing to be able to do more good, he afflicts himself. What shall I do now? The poorest beggar in the country could not have said a more anxious word. The more men have, the more perplexity they have with it. It was folly for him to think of making no other use of his plenty, than to indulge the flesh and gratify the sensual appetites, without any thought of doing good to others. Carnal worldlings are fools; and the day is coming when God will call them by their own name, and they will call themselves so. The death of such persons is miserable in itself, and terrible to them. Thy soul shall be required. He is loth to part with it; but God shall require it, shall require an account of it, require it as a guilty soul to be punished without delay. It is the folly of most men, to mind and pursue that which is for the body and for time only, more than that for the soul and eternity.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Sit Rep- I moved into my new apartment today, thank God for people with common sense and generosity. Since my lack of ID would make it nearly impossible to rent I am blessed that my veterans advocate has a strong relationship with landlords in the area and as such I was able to move in on his assurances to the landlord that I am “good man”. It has been two weeks since crossing the border and I am already living better than when I was working at the animal shelter, Hot showers, A/C and a fridge full of food are just a few of the things that I didn’t have for the last three years in Playa Del Carmen.
