During his visit to Memphis, Tennessee, President Trump took a detour and stopped at Graceland the former home of Elvis Presley for a tour of the estate. A few videos are included below.

The “No Kings” lunatics will have a field day with this.
As long as they stay off of his blue suede shoes…
Well, at least he is not in the ghetto….
(I’ll see myself out….)
At least President Trump isn’t up in the Kentucky Rain.
And we all know Donald’s not “Lonesome Tonight”,… Ever.
He tells Truth Social, late night, “I Got You, Babe!”
The Prez was just here in KY about a week or so ago. Rumor has there will be one of those stupid “No Kings” events this Saturday here in Paducah.
(Or maybe it’s just more Suspicious Minds!)
Kentucky Rain” is my favorite Elvis song, then “Marie’s the Name,” then “If I Can Dream,” then “Little Sister.”
The film “Follow that Dream” shows Elvis eviscerating a social worker in court.
Required viewing for attorneys.
The most libertarian film Elvis made.A wonderful, funny primer of how society ought to work. The film also started Tom Petty on the road to his musical career. His uncle took him to the set as the uncle was part of the crew, and Elvis told Tom he ought to get a guitar and learn to play.
We’ll get you out of the Jailhouse Rock, Aggiegirl.
hahaha! too funny!
Up thread, I posted a website link that gives the titles of his songs, alphabetized…I only got as far as ‘I’…
Pizz on them…Stinkin’ horse faced pony solders….
And Elvis has left the building.
Those loons with their suspicious minds….
Sorry, I didn’t see your comment before I added to my reply.
Trump really is the Energizer Bunny!
Glad he can add a little sightseeing into his busy schedule. And yes, hope Memphis can become GREAT AGAIN.
They’ll probably get “All Shook up”
Or..as long as the ‘bule eyers are crying in the rain…’…
One of my favorites….
And this one, the bestest of all….
One more and then am off memory lane…”in the ghetto”…first heard it when I was in 6th grade…it made me cry then…who would have thought I would end up working in Chicago….
This was recorded in the 60s. Nothing has imporved in all these years. Dems were in charge back then and still are.
What? You never heard Elvis croon, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”
It caused Beatle Mania before B Mania.
The only two Grammys that Elvis won during his life were best male Gospel vocal performance, for ‘How Great Thou Art’, and best Gospel /Album for the album. Absolute crime.
Likely so.
My mom taught me to play this as a duet, 1965 ish.
But ‘You ain’t Nothing but a Hound Dog’ is really close.
I seem to remember Jesus talking about hypocrites in similar fashon (Talking about them, not any present company)
With all the plates in his world spinning at once, POTUS still has time to fool around with fluff like this. Amazing.
The guy is almost 80 years old; I don’t know how he continues to do it.
Thing is , it’s not fluff !
From the outside , it may seem to be . But for whoever he came in contact with that day it’s life changing.
That’s one of the things that make President Trump so special , personal connection .
He gets it , pretty sure if he WANTED to see Graceland in the past he would have .
I think when he plans to see people whenever/wherever
He is really connecting to people . I don’t think President Trump has ever “ fooled “ around with anything in his life !
Sorry about jumping on you and criticizing you , I seem to feel like I have to jump to his defense for whatever reason . Sorry.
Jeff, in the scheme of things, with all the monumental issues and their attendant decisions that are facing this man, this Graceland business is indeed ‘fluff’. I am not mocking it, and I’m certainly not mocking DJT; I am just noting that none of the Graceland pause is terribly important. And that may very well be why he went there, to give himself a break in the action.
Some diversion like this is probably good for POTUS, sort of like a light-hearted side trip to ease the tension/strain.
Lighten up, friend.
Point taken !
To Iran: “Well, you’re looking for Trouble, you came to the right place”…
Yuge Elvis Presley fan!!!
Thank you Sundance!
“Double Trouble”
(you would love my old record collection)
“Alway On My Mind”
US Male (ELVIS, but written by Jerry Reed and also performed by pro wrestler Freddie Blassie):
“If you mess around with my country, champ,
I’ll leave your country in the shape of a stamp
Kind of flattened out so you’d do well
Not to mess around with this US Male”
Elvis has several postage stamps… here’s the backstory of one that WE might use to ignite some libs’ hair
The Elvis Stamp: America Elects a King
{ https://postalmuseum.si.edu/exhibition/art-of-the-stamp-the-artwork-stamps-with-a-story/the-elvis-stamp-america-elects-a-king }
“In 1992, the American public voted on a matter of vital national importance: young Elvis or old Elvis?
Allowing the public to select the artwork for the Elvis Presley stamp was an unprecedented move by the U.S. Postal Service. The choice was between two equally superb but thematically distinct portraits: a watercolor of the youthful Elvis by Mark Stutzman, or a more mature Elvis painted by John Berkey.
The ballot Americans used to vote for their favorite Elvis stamp:

I did not know he has numismatics also – scores of them!

When our son was 7 he became a hardcore Elvis fan, we toured Graceland and acquired a bunch of Elvis themed items.
What I learned over time is that Elvis was another celebrity whose persona hid a lot – a whole lot of which was very unsavory.
I don’t know of one savory celebrity. They’re all entitled, detached from reality beings that entertain and indoctrinate. Years ago I met one of the stars of a wholesome family show. He was a typical celebrity with typical celebrity desires.
Karen Carpenter
Lucy Thomas
Pat Boone.
Many suffer mentally.
Early deaths, suicide, addiction and pull away from God, like many of us consumed by the world.
We pray for them as we do for any suffering soul.
✝️🙏❤️
Yes, the world supplies many temptations , the more money you have it seems the more temptations . But for the grace of God , I always said if you would have given me millions of dollars at a young age ( like celebrities or athletes )
I would probably not be here now . You’re correct just have to pray for them Can’t judge ‘em .
Never get to know your heroes.
Eg
Lennon the arrogant wife beater and humiliating father.
McCartney the arrogant socialist who wants a socialist government.
Ringo the drunken wife beater.
George the serial adulterer.
“Layla”. Right, Slow Hand?
Just add salt.
I beg to differ. How would you handle it if you had been raised in poverty in a small town in Mississippi, then one morning you woke up as the biggest star in the US?. Everyone around him used him, from Col. Parker on, and no one respected him for being Elvis. He was naive when he arrived and became hurt and alone through the years. If you toured Graceland, you saw the wall with some of the thousands of checks he wrote to ordinary people to help them. Never did it for the fame, did it from his heart. In 1968 when he did the Concert from Hawaii, the proceeds of that helped to build the Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor. Most people never heard that. I remember when he died, like so many who turn to drugs to heal a hurt that can’t be healed. I mourned his loss as we all lost a voice that touched us all. RIP Elvis.
Preach! I am proud of Elvis & I look forward to meeting him in Heaven.
And, he refused to take a legal tax deduction for his charitable giving, he said he didn’t do it for the tax breaks.
Thank you, RGB. May God rest his beautiful soul.
That’s nice ,anything on SAVE America Act?
Really?
Plenty! He also spoke about it leaving FL this morning.
“I don’t think we should make any deal with the Crazy, Country Destroying, Radical Left Democrats unless, and until, they Vote with Republicans to pass “THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.”
It is far more important than anything else we are doing in the Senate, and that includes giving these same terrible people, the Dems (who are to blame for this mess!), a Five Billion Dollar cut in ICE funding, a deal which, even when disguised as something else, is unacceptable to me and the American people – UNLESS it includes their approval of Voter I.D., (with picture!), Citizenship to Vote, No Mail-In Voting (with exceptions), All Paper Ballots, No Men In Women’s Sports, and No Transgender MUTILIZATION of our precious children.
Put it all together, and also, let Leader Thune clearly identify those few “Republicans” that are Voting against AMERICA. They will never be elected again! In other words, lump everything together as one, and VOTE!!! Kill the Filibuster, and stay in D.C. for Easter, if necessary.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DJT”

And more today…
https://nitter.net/AndrewKolvet/status/2036135102816600212#m
PDJT has left the building.
Of all the pics of Marco that have been shown…had a nice chuckle over this one…like the hair and sideburns… 1968?
Suits him, don’t you think?
68-ish? Close enough.
Funny whatever goes through one’s mind on occasions like this.
One day long ago, I answered my phone to a sobbing friend. She could barely breathe she was crying so hard…
In the few seconds before she could speak, I made up all sorts of horrible stories about why…accident with one of her small children? A family death?
And then she managed to give me the news of Elvis’s demise.
I was never a fan, and so I was taken aback at the overwhelming grief she was pouring out.
As the decades have passed since and I’ve chanced to catch a recording or two, I find myself grieving, too. Not for his passing, but for the era when we lived in a different America which is no more. Elvis Presley was such an iconic representative of those times.
As we drift further from them, I appreciate his talent more; and I find myself reflecting on how much…in every way…we have lost.
My thought as well about my old across the street childhood friend who we didn’t know would become MS other great musical talent – Jimmy Buffet.
Listen to his ” Come Monday” and see if you don’t agree.
Still living those great, wonderful times and memories here,… and as Billy Joel sang, “Keeping The Faith!”.
Mental cocktails, my friend. Indulge as needed. It doesn’t need to be 5 o’clock anywhere.
That’s what I call memories.
Sounds as if yours are especially tasty. NICE!!! 😉
Umm, Jimmy Buffet was not even close or in the same league as Elvis. I’m not quite sure what you are even saying here? Come Monday saved his early career but then became established for his slogan or commercial songs……Volcano, Fins, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Margaritaville and Parrottheads.
Never did an artist get more off of one song than Margaritaville. I give him credit. He turned it into an industry. Oh, I loved Jimmy Buffet. But he was very leftist……..
I have a 1968 photo of me and a HS/collage buddy drinking “shlits” beer I sent to a HS friend fighting in Vietnam. I had the exact same sideburns! Too funny! Oh my friend did return home but was really messed up for a while! He was involved in a firefight and two days later he was flown home, that was it! His hair was like straw, he was underweight and practically chain smoking! He passed away a couple of years ago from brain cancer. Agent orange exposure? Just wondering?
1968, Bubby? I was 11 and tearing up the hood on my minibike! I remember Dad coming home from work and he always had a beer, maybe two at the most before coming upstairs for supper. If memory serves me right the progression of brands were Schlitz (or Shlits as you appropriately labelled it), Ballantine, Schaefer and finally Miller.
Thanks to God, I was a lucky kid with great childhood memories and I feel sorry for those who never had that experience or those memories.
Elvis…where ya been hiding?
‘Well I play this old guitar from 9:00 to half past one…..’
Outstanding, especially the hair, with the curl.
This was great. Thanks, Sundance.
I’m going to Graceland.
Maybe there’s a reason to believe. We will all be received.
This made me smile & think about those lyrics in a new light. TY
“The man on the middle cross told me I could come”.
Alistair Begg
We could have fun with this list of Elvis songs….
https://www.classicrockhistory.com/complete-list-of-elvis-presley-songs-from-a-to-z/
This song fits also…
Walking in Memphis- Marc Cohen
Love that song….hoping Memphis will be walkable again!
Whoa…what a list! Brought back the memory of my school talent show when my best friend and I did our rendition of Blue Suede Shoes!!! I think we were in 6th grade. No, we did not take 1st place (can’t imagine why not). Wish I had a video of that!
Ooh-ooh, in Graceland, Graceland
I’m going to Graceland
For reasons I cannot explain
There’s some part of me, wants to see Graceland
Trumps Presidential Library is going to take a day at least to see complete the thing he accomplished and what he did in between.
Going to be the most visited site ever.
always the consummate gentleman and guest,
i had to LOL at PT’s remarkable restraint as he viewed that room and the carpeted ceiling.
you can see him PHYSICALLY mind his manners viewing the “style”.😂
no offense intended to Elvis, but PT changed the subject pretty fast, too. 😆
In MS, we call it Nouveou Rich,… and it was probably pushed on Elvis by his Colonel’s “handlers”.
Donald has his own, unique brand of pure gold NR,… That I like .
Love Elvis! Everyone should go see the movie “Epic” which is out now.
What a boost to a tourist attraction that has been declining in popularity.
That house is making many millions of dollars a month, and you?
Doing well in many ways including financially and spiritually. Why the need for put downs on what I thought was a positive post?
He was hoping Elvis would volunteer to speak to the Invisible Ayatollah.
Caught in a trap…
He actually looks happy
TRUMPS FULL TOUR OF GRACELAND HERE
Elvis Presley was my 5th cousin.
🎸📀👑🕺🏻❤️🙏
Back when GW Bush was president, the emperor of Japan paid Bush a visit. The emperor wanted to visit Memphis– to see and tour Graceland and to eat some ribs at the world famous Rendevous in downtown Memphis. Both flew on Air Force One for the visit.
Blue Suede Shoes Matter!
Yes they DO!
I recently bought some lovely black suede shoes and left a positive review – in it I asked them to kindly make blue suede shoes in this style…
I haven’t heard back yet.
I’ll buy 2 pair when they come out.
I and a friend owned an apartment complex not far from Graceland. I happened to be in Memphis the day of the funeral. Flew my plane over the procession.
A couple of weeks later I went to the guitar gates about 8am in the morning. There were four girls there gawking like me. This guy come up in a riding lawn-mower and let us in the grounds and led us to the grave-site. He was Elvis’s Dad Vernon. The graves were still covered with flowers.
He wanted to to take us in the house but couldn’t go in either because of Estate restriction he had no key at that moment. He said we could stay as long as we wanted and answered questions. Looking back on it, it seems so surreal. Just the 4-girls, Elvis’s Dad Vernon and me. No one else were on the grounds and it was so quiet.
A blessing indeed.
How lovely, and where the term “Southern Hospitality” is taken seriously.
We have that same stove in my mom’s house… still works! She loved it & went to great lengths to find one, & then an original cabinet that it sat on elsewhere. Finding parts on occasion was a challenge, but she kept it going.
Not only is president Trump focused on saving our country, he shows appreciation for those who forever changed our culture especially in music.
His love for America goes beyond restoring law and order.
He’s showing honor to those who made historic contributions.
He always makes time.
❤️🦅✝️🇺🇸❤️
Elvis was an icon. He was a beautiful singer. We heard him sing and listened to journalists who didn’t know if he was black or white. They asked what HS he attended as back then schools were segregated. Elvis’s style transcended the racial divide.
We loved our visit to Graceland. It was a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood. The home was filled with Elvis memorabilia. Inside the house one room was covered in green shag carpeting. Divine for its time.
In the back of the home was Elvis’ burial site. Lots of people brought flowers to remember this man.
Graceland is worth a visit if you ever get the chance. Although the house showcases much memorabilia, there is also a huge Elvis museum across the street.
Many years ago I was in a store that had a lot of odd discounted books. I bought one on the gospel side of Elvis. It was a really interesting read.

King Reader: The Gospel Side of Elvis

this is great. Glad to see PDJT focusing some attention on Memphis. A great historical US city that has been neglected by democrats. MMGA.
Love Graceland, a really fun tour.
Trump was in Memphis to celebrate their historical crime rate decline, all by his hands. He should slap ChIrac’s sanctuary, “In The Ghetto” Mayor Johnson’s face with it now.
The press seemed quiet, must have had “Suspicious Minds”
Being LeftistLoons, they were dumbstruck & befuddled by NO KINGS! cognitive dissonance, I imagine.
He may have just won over the swooning white girls older than 70 to MAGA!
So happy to see our President have fun.
The 2 🇺🇸Kings😊🤣
Great Timing… I already have Tickets for Friday… Looks like they went up some Stairs… They don’t let the “Commoners” Upstairs… So, glad to see they Let PDJT Up there.!!!
Ha, Trump,… the Dims’ new Nazi King visits the Graceland home of Mississippi’s own original King.
Donald, keep them Marxist Dims ” All Shook Up”,… and “Shaking like a man in a Fuzzy tree!”
Prez Trump,…order Elvis’s famous meal, a Peanut butter and naner samich in the King’s Jungle room.
“Thank You,… thank you very much!”
Johnny B Goode
Followed by Steamroller Blues, both live. The tracks follow automatically.
Like The Grateful Dead, there was nothing like an Elvis concert.
See above
President Trump stepped off the plane in Memphis with a grin, saying it felt like walking into “Viva Las Vegas” energy—but with more history. His destination was Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, a place he’d long described as pure American legend.
As he entered the gates, a band nearby was playing “Hound Dog”, and Trump nodded along, tapping his foot. “Tremendous song,” he said, pointing at the musicians. Inside, the tour guide led him through the rooms, each one echoing with the spirit of Elvis. In the Jungle Room, someone quietly played “Love Me Tender”, and for a moment, even Trump grew still.
“This place,” he said, “it’s not just a house—it’s a phenomenon. Bigger than “Jailhouse Rock.””
As they walked further, Trump paused at a display of Elvis’s jumpsuits. “These are incredible. Nobody dressed like this. It’s like “Burning Love” in fabric form.”
Outside, fans had gathered, hoping for a glimpse. Trump stepped out and waved, and someone in the crowd shouted, “Sing one!” He laughed and responded, “I’ll leave that to Elvis—but I do like “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Great song. Very strong.”
A local performer began singing “Suspicious Minds”, and Trump leaned over to an aide. “You know, in politics, you get a lot of those,” he joked.
The tour continued to the Meditation Garden, where Elvis is buried. The mood shifted. A soft version of “In the Ghetto” played nearby. Trump stood quietly, then said, “He told the story of America in his music. Really incredible.”
Before leaving, Trump stopped by the gift shop and picked up a vinyl record. “This one,” he said, holding it up, “has “All Shook Up.” That’s how people feel after they come here.”
As he headed back to his motorcade, the band struck up “Heartbreak Hotel.” Trump turned, gave one last look at Graceland, and said, “Elvis built something timeless here. Nobody does it better.”
And with that, he left Memphis, humming a tune, somewhere between “Don’t Be Cruel” and the enduring rhythm of rock and roll history.
If you were there or just made this up it’s still a great read! Certainly sounds like things our VSGPDJT would say.
Thank you for this!!
Made my morning!
Three of my favorite people: Elvis, Trump, and Sundance. 😁
Is that Pam Bondi in Elvis’ kitchen???? If so, doesn’t she have other things to do?
It certainly is good to read the many comments from folks who obviously had at least some expirence of the Delta and surronding territory. Being an Elvis fan helps, but when you spend time there, you are different.
Good on Trump to go there, a superlative choice….beats CPAC.
Everyone loves Elvis!
The most interesting thing to me about “Graceland” is how small it is. And, not in a very good part of town. And yet, you get the sense that a very eccentric person and his family could actually live there. It is quirky, but not pretentious. Nor was he.
I remember the Elvis of the very early days, playing country and rockabilly with his musical friends. They were all smiling and genuinely having fun. Drug abuse was particularly not kind to him, and he could never shake free of it. In his later years, his life became a tragedy. It was painful to watch him go down.
I’d like to see him troll the press with a comment such as, “We wanted to see the Jungle Room because that is how we plan to decorate the new beautiful White House ballroom.”
tcb,baby.
love elvis.
always have.
always will.
no apologies.
my 3 favorite elvis songs:
1.suspicious minds
2.an american trilogy
3.burning love
my 3 favorite under-rated elvis tunes:
1.walk a mile in my shoes
2.i’ve lost you
3.for ol’ times sake
Wonderful hearing DPT speaking ‘off the cuff’ and ‘from the heart’, just totally raw.
Reminds me of how his office employees at Trump Tower would speak of his authentic way of being!
