The Brown University shooter has been identified as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente (48) a Portuguese national, green card holder, and former Brown University student. Claudio Valente was identified and found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a storage facility in New Hampshire.
Claudio Valente was a student at Brown University physics PhD program from the fall of 2000 until taking a leave of absence in April of 2001, Brown University President Christina Paxson said. He formally withdrew from the university in 2003; she told reporters Thursday night.
There is no known motive being discussed, however Valante is also accused of killing MIT Professor Nuno Loureiro, 47, who was fatally shot in his Brookline home on Monday December 15th.
The killer, Valante, and the victim, Professor Loureiro, attended the same university in Portugal.
Before killing MIT Professor Louriero in Massachusetts on Monday, Claudio Valente entered a Brown University study session in the Barus & Holley engineering and physics building and fired 40 rounds from a 9 mm handgun on Saturday (Rhode Island). Two Brown University students, Ella Cook (Alabama) and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov (Uzbekistan) were killed, nine others were injured.
Valante was a resident of Miami Florida; however, in late November he travelled to Boston Massachusetts, rented a vehicle and then traveled to Rhode Island in early December. He was seen in/around the campus of Brown University for around a week before he carried out his mass shooting (Sat). Valante then traveled back to Boston and reportedly killed MIT Professor Louriero (Mon). The rental vehicle was found in a New Hampshire storage facility along with Valante’s body and the weapons used in the targeted killings. No motive yet identified.

Perhaps he had a troubled youth.

So it turns that a homeless guy who was living in the basement of the physics department saw the guy a number of times, connected him with a grey rental car and ultimately called the FBI. And that’s how they found the killer. It was the same guy whose picture was circulated, but he doesn’t seem to have been aware of that.
Thank goodness an alert homeless guy was on the scene.
Guess they won’t be needing a door-dash driver to tie it all together after all . . .

He probably would’ve been found before killing the professor if he was identified by campus cameras immediately.
The university seems at least liable in that.

Just wondering if providing housing and shelter at University facilities plus intentionally maintaining a slipshod video surveillance system is routine practice at the Universities that insist on maintaining their “programs” of DEI, support of illegal immigration and as a part of “Sanctuary” cities, states and perhaps Universities? It sure would be appalling if their need for being Woke permits someone to kill another because they want to remain Woke and will help facilitate or cover-up evidence!
What I find fascinating is that conservatives originally denounced the surveillance society as Orwellian, which it is. Now, there is outrage from conservatives when the surveillance system is not working or does not exist.
It’s a lesson in how conservatives are captured by new societal norms on a routine basis, which is why this country will eventually fatally collapse.

On a podcast with Kyle Seraphin and Viva Frei they said the cameras around campus had been disabled so as not to help ICE abd to protect identities of student protesters. If so, they’re at least partially responsible for the MIT murder.

This is VERY, VERY strange. The MIT scientist was targeted because he was planning to release cold fusion technology that would put affordable energy into the hands of the masses. Big energy did not like the idea of losing several billion electric bills per month and whacked him.
How are the two crimes related?

This will soon be swept under the rug like everything else and “ALL” education facilities should be punished for not reporting to DHS when these people drop out.
So what about that guy from all the door-cams? This is not the same man. The other, who has a name, is a more likely suspect.
I’ve been thinking about this for what seems like a couple of days. Where is the proof that this man killed himself after supposedly committing two murders? Dead men don’t talk.
