She is usually so much more focused and well spoken, whereas here she seems to be almost deliberately and flagrantly obtuse– almost like she’s trying to signal to the listeners the “threatened unliveliness” you speak of.
In all fairness? A duty is just that. If you are capable of allowing a threat to make you cower, than you are not fit for duty. Our country is pathetic. Wars used to be honestly fought. Not picking on you, None, but “Wars used to be honestly fought” seems distinctly counter intuitive to an old Marine who may have mistakenly extrapolated his war experiences to all others he can imagine. Or not.
Things are not always as they seem, true, but please, at least help me understand what an “honest” war would look like from any perspective—desk-bound strategist, to the man on the ground; weapon in hand; doing his “duty.”
Maybe my observations of human nature—from biblical descriptions/depictions to the man outside a village firing his weapon in the direction of innocents—have skewed my sense of what to expect from most people most anytime, but especially in war. Maybe rotten apples are actually NOT in the majority, all the time. Maybe it just too often seems that way. Still, with all that, from my soapbox point of view, wars-fought-honestly does not yet form a recognizable picture in my mind.

I believe her sincerity and think her efforts are all for the best. But I think so far she is just nibbling around the edges of the problem. I think the federal government should be reduced in size and budget by at least 50% overall (some areas more, some less), and that should just be the starting point. The IC should be among the areas getting even more cut, but the CIA operations division should be totally eliminated. It has caused nothing but trouble in the world and should never have been created in the first place. I understand that President Truman regretted signing the bill authorizing it, but he came to that conclusion in the 60s, years after he left the WH when it was too late.
She needs to rewrite 95% of the DNI ICDs as these policy directives were all revised by Jimmy Clapper and Avril H. She also needs to complete a total,overhaul of the IC’s personnel systems as they’re stove piped and allow the embeds of Biden Obama Clinton to rule, and including the joint duty assignments as CIA under Brennan and others deployed their deep state throughout the IC.
