ICE arrests leader of Iowa’s largest school district, says he was living and working in US illegally
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Federal immigration agents targeted the well-liked leader of Iowa’s largest school district in a traffic stop Friday and arrested him after he fled into the woods, leaving educators and community members stunned.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Des Moines Public School Superintendent Ian Roberts was in the country illegally and had no work authorization. Roberts, who is from Guyana in South America, was considered an ICE fugitive because he was subject to a final removal order issued in 2024, the agency said.
ICE said that it targeted Roberts for arrest by initiating a traffic stop on Friday while he was driving in his school-issued vehicle. After he fled, officers discovered his vehicle abandoned near a wooded area. He was eventually located and taken into ICE custody with the help of Iowa State Patrol officers. Roberts was brought to Woodbury County’s jail in northwest Iowa late Friday afternoon, according to jail and ICE records. It was unclear if Roberts had an attorney to represent him.

I grew up in the 1950’s I have a sister and 2 brothers also born in the 50’s. Baby asprin is the only pain reliver I ever heard of and no one took it very often.
There were almost no vaccines then either. I had all of the diseases one gets in childhood and a particularly nasty bout of Scarlet Fever. Baby asprin was just not handed out like candy.
In the 1980’s Tylenol was recommended frequently every time my children received a shot. In fact I heard parents say their doctor recomended Tylenol BEFORE the baby/toddler even got the shots.
It is the combination of using Tylenol for every little thing (teething comes to mind) and the shots. 72 is too many, birth and 3 months is too young and knowing what I know now I wouldn’t give my child any vaccine or any tylenol.

“The tragic irony for his evil plot here is that it was a detainee who was killed and two other detainees that were injured,” Nancy Larson, acting US attorney for the Northern District of Texas, said at a news conference on Thursday.

The focus of Tylenol vs Autism is not on use of Tylenol by “Children”. It was and is now focused on use of Tylenol before birth by the expecting mother and impact on the unborn child.
The dangers discussed 40+ years ago was usage by expecting mothers.
I am of the opinion the Tylenol noise is a distraction from the vax monsters.

The FBI has acknowledged it had 274 plainclothes agents in the massive crowds on Jan. 6, 2021, more than four and a half years after questions were first raised about the level of FBI involvement that day, Blaze News has learned.
A senior congressional source said the number is not necessarily a surprise, since the FBI often embeds countersurveillance personnel at large events.
But given the FBI’s until-now steadfast refusal to disclose the level of its presence at the Capitol, the figure might still be viewed with skepticism in some quarters.

Bernie doesn’t understand the Constitution or roles of government branches. Immigration enforcement is a federal job. Protection of federal assets if a federal prerogative. If states are unwilling to do their job, it’s well within the president’s authority to do so, as he is enforcing FEDERAL law. If you really want to be stupid enough to contest it – go to court.
My fanily has visited Portland a few times over the past 10+ years. Never have we felt we were in a war zone.
The premise is ubsurd. We stay downtown and enjoy attending Broadway shows at the Keller Auditorium. We also visited the wonderful doctors and staff of Oregon Health Sciences University, which is close to downtown.
Has Portland had challenges? Absolutely. What big city in America hasn’t? This move by PT is a slap in the face to democracy and a huge waste of time and money.
BTW, if you have chosen not to visit Portland based on what you’ve read in social media, your loss.
