Started around 11 am EDT
When laid off at corporate America about 4 years ago, I decided to start a business doing three things that I really very much enjoy, gardening and landscaping, writing and performing original music, and selling antique postcards and paper.
In the first year, I tried a hand at all three. Subsequently, I abandoned selling antique postcards and paper because inflation was so bad that people did not have money for discretionary purchases and the record keeping in such a sub-venture is far too onerous.
Secondarily, I pretty well abandoned trying to get gigs locally, even after bringing a strong turnout to a handful of performances at a couple local well-known venues, because when one challenges a local mayor or calls out the clowns in America proxy war in Ukraine, it results in one being blacklisted.
So, I consolidated all of my efforts into growing and expanding my gardening and landscaping business.
In doing so, I put aside songwriting for the time being.
There is an annual festival in Northeastern Massachusetts held on Plum Island each September called Plumfest. I have now performed 5 or 6 out of the 10 years it has been held. Its ostensible aim is to support music programs at a regional boys and girls club. I have come to realize that one of the reasons that I have kept asking to perform is to seek validation in the local music scene.
I have decided that I will no longer do that. It is not worth my time to drive through a crowd of thousands of people to play for 45 minutes for free while restaurants and food vendors rake in the bucks.
Rather, I have a chargeable Fishman Loudebox amp, several guitars, a microphone and a little yellow pickup truck, and will take my act to the streets, and the Treehouse, the only social media that I use.
I hope that I have not worn out my welcome by posting this song here. Last Saturday, I re-recorded it. It sounds much better with an electric guitar, and I am of my clearer mind and spirit. Please give it a listen. Thank you.

I recorded this version September 13, 2025 in my basement study, the date of the 10th Annual Plumfest and read the following note during my performance.
“Today I had originally planned to perform my song Blue Skies and Golden Grains, written as a song of dissidence in the summer of 2022.
The song is broken into two parts.
In the first half, I note with strong objection to:
· The seditious military and psychological operation perpetuated on the American (and global) population.
· The treasonous political and psychological entrapment operation perpetuated against American patriots on the Epiphany of 2021.
· The Clowns In America proxy war, human trafficking, biowarfare and Congressional money laundering operation in a certain former Eastern European republic.
In the 2nd half of the song, I imagine my paternal grandparents’ response to these events while meeting them in a dream. My grandmother’s parents, practicing Russian Orthodox Christians, fled Ukraine in the wake of the Bolshevik Revolution. My Grandfather served in the United States Army in World War II as a rifle instructor at Camp Martha, Texas and Camp Douglas, Arizona.
In the song, one of my best, my support for Constitutional remedies against Sedition and Treason is stressed through the imagined response of my Grandfather. It can be found on my channel, Chris Hyde, at rumble.com and encourage you to check it out on your own time.
However, I have decided that today is not the appropriate time to sing Blue Skies and Golden Grains.

· Fletcher Merkel and Harper Moyski at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where my sister-in-law enrolled as a child.
· Iryna Zarustk, murdered by a Schizophrenic Psychopath and his accomplice, a conflicted judge who released him from custody.
· And of course, Charlie Kirk.”

These are excellent and I’ve packed them into daughter’s box (I have an address for her now – but still transitional – she’s still overcome and hateful and full of this guy’s influence – but I can sure try. Sending her her birth certificate and SSA card for a job interview (?)… her pocket Bible, her “Names of God” book, her journal, her vitamins, and small art supplies. Hopefully a well received note of how much I love her and wish her well.
I didn’t sleep much last night… so heading home to crash.
Decided to decorate my office to try to breathe and speak LIFE into the place and pray for the business to turnaround. Might as well have something pretty to look at.

As an adult, I have studied different lines of evidence, including the Bible, other historical sources, science, archeology, NDEs & other that I have found very consistent with recognizing (a.) and seeking (b.,), but I view (a.) and (b.) as the foundation and (c.) as icing on the cake. I would be very interested in the thoughts of members of this online community.

I recently traveled to Poland and attended Mass on Sunday, September 7, in Krakow. The homily was a letter from the bishop opposing changes to the public educational system, specifically, halving the number of religion courses/week, not requiring grades in religion class to be part of your GPA, allowing gender ideology to be added to health classes. In this wonderful country, primarily Catholic, one can see the handwriting on the wall.
The Polish Constitution includes freedom of religion, but it also spells out Christianity as its cultural and historical roots. The Constitutional Court ruled that the educational changes are unconstitutional, but the Minister of Education does not recognize the ruling. This is old news, I suppose, as the court ruling was made in April this year.
While in Warsaw, we witnessed a Solidarity Union protest–a few hundred people–against the educational reforms.
FYI, the preamble to the Constitution of Poland (1997):
