I read a word and definition yesterday that describes a common emotion:

But I seem to be doing a lot of reflecting these days, ever since that shocking terrible Wednesday a week back…and all the unwelcome inhuman vitriol born of ignorance and evil which has followed.
The past is a solace at the moment. I think I’ll grab a coffee and remain there for a wee while…with my Hiraeth and heartspurs 💕

Ain’t that the truth! Had to take our sweet Harriet in for an ER visit yesterday (almost 18y/o with CKD) – 3 hour round trip of kitty misery. 😿
But, she is much improved today, thankfully.
This is probably old news for many of you, but…..in case it helps one kitty or kitty parent:
There is an injection available that is part antibiotic, part pain med, that the vet can administer. It lasts for 10 days and eliminates the need to struggle with your fur kid to squirt liquid meds down their throat at home. Well worth the upcharge! And, it works much more quickly. I literally always have to ask for it rather than the prescriptions. It might make life a little easier for you and your kitties. ❤️

It’s simply unbearable for me to watch animals suffer.
Why vets won’t prescibe injectables for use at home is a puzzle to me. I did have one vet who did for my kitty, Bad Bad Leo – he was on 5 medications. Such a relief not to fight the poor sick little kitty multiple times a day. Leo passed on Jan 19th this year. I so miss his sweet smile.

Good evening Betsy. It appears that coming back on this evening was a God thing. I have some sad news to relay but couldn’t bring myself to write it until I read your and Soaz comments.
Some of the kittens got very ill last Sunday and I did not have any money to take them to a vet. I made them as comfortsble as I could but Oliver passed away on Tuesday and “Bobby” who looked like a miniature bobcat passed away on Wednesday. My heart is broken into a thousand pieces right now. The other five and momma seemed like they were not feeling real great either. I did a lot of praying and seeking some divine advice. Needless to say, I started worming them and they seem to be getting better.
I have made an extremely difficult decision to give all of them a different home where they will be able to get proper vet care. Financially, I can not care for them like they should be cared for. If the words get goofy it is because I am crying while typing this.
Now you know why I have not been on here much this week. I am sure I will be grieving for quite a while, especially for “Little Oliver”.
Between the evil of the last couple of weeks and this happening this week, I am emotionally and physically worn out. I will continue to get on the branch, but will not be commenting much right now. Love you all, my CTH family and thanks for being there for me.

Our little ‘Pinta’ had passed through several of our tennent’s apartments before she came to live with us. A tiny little thing 6lbs) she’d charmed the whole neighborhood before claiming me as her person. When I left, I’d usually return to find her curled up on a pair of my old jeans. She was with us for over 2 decades.
When she was about 21 it was obvious she was fading and increasingly uncomfortable. I took her to our gentle old vet . . .I was with her to her end. I think she knew what was happening. I held her little paw, and stroked behind her ear. And then she was gone. I’ve been around beloved pets long enough to know that it is always best for us to be with them—or at least close to them—when it is time for them to go. 🙂
We still miss our sweet ones as you do “Pinta”, Garrison. I’m so glad you had a caring vet. I’ve seen some who are rather perfunctory.
Ours in Wales was a young man whose surgery (as they are called there) was in an old stone building…No flashy new decor , medicines on a makeshift shelf. But he was so good and kind, even sending a handwritten note of sympathy when he helped our darling Penny leave this life.
They don’t get any better than that.
Our vet does that too. The entire staff signs the card they send. I had to get one last week because the second of the three kittens I raised from their first day died of heart failure the week before – she was getting worse literally by the hour and I took her to the vet, who agreed with me that it was time.
Then there was Charlie Kirk.
Today I found out the wonderful, gentle elderly woman who put together our large weaving loom was found dead in her house last night.
I hope three is enough.

Nor can I imagine, zoom. I am fascinated by it. And yes, I agree. Watching horses suspended for the split seconds as they are when galloping is something to behold.
The running kittie looks like our boy, Harbor, who we had from a tiny kitten. He lived to be 22 years old, and was a wonderful buddy.
After our cat, Kiki, died this past April, my husband regretted that we had never let him or his sister, Coco, out of the house to have fun. We’d watched the running cat video before, while Kiki was still alive, and poppa wanted to give it a go, but momma was fearful of the wild animals around our home, so they stayed indoors. I have a friend who stood out of reach of her little dog, and watched in horror as her baby was scooped up by an eagle and carried off to be eaten; thus my fear of letting the cats outside.
After Kiki died poppa said his girl was going outside, to feel the world beneath her feet, to chew on grass, to tilt her head back, close her eyes and breathe deeply when a soft wind blows.
They love to go outside together, and poppa stays close to his girl. . . the bear, fox, wolves, fishers, etc., have no chance with “dad” around.

Our situation is the same. Our development backs onto undeveloped (as yet) land. The wildlife (raccoons, possums, coyotes) have been displayed and shoved back the bigger this area has grown…and we have hawks which swoop on from time to time, once with the same experience as you endured. One I do my best to forget but cannot.
Our Welsh cats had free rein throughout the valley where our house was…fields and woods at their feet but no predators, thank goodness. They were instead the hunters as is their nature. And on a few occasions we would awake in the middle of the night to find a victim having been brought on through the cat flap.
I love Cocoa’s stance, almost as if she’s spotted something. I can only imagine how she is reveling in her freedom…and it makes my heart happy.
“Poppa” sounds very much like my Chris who is exactly the same with all the cats…and one dog…we’ve had. Of all the advice I’ve given to our granddaughter nearest to us, I have forgotten to tell her to choose a man who is an animal lover, not that she wouldn’t do otherwise. Neverthheless, giving advice while I still am close enough to do so to any of my grands whom I love so much has never stopped me…asked for (on occasion) or not 😎

And running free without a predator? Sounds like a glimpse of Heaven, without our enemy forever on the prowl to knock us over.
Does Chris watch over the cats while they’re outside, since you, too, have predators close by?
It still drives me crazy thinking about something snatching Coco away while they’re outside, but then I have to tell myself that this is just a tiny taste of what every mother must go through as her children grow. Dads, having the godly blessing of teaching their children the wonders of adventure and freedom — like hands-free bike riding, throwing them skyhigh, giving them the car keys long before they’re old enough to get a license, ’cause ‘they’ll only be driving up and down the driveway, are the blessings kids remember long after dad is gone.
Whether your grands ever ask for your advice and wisdom or not, I bet long after grandmom is gone they will hear the things you said, remember them, put them into practice and wish they could have you before them, just one more time, to ask you to tell them more.
It has been quite a while since we’ve had cats. The cost of vets is the reason. But when we had them here they had to stay inside as we live within an HOA. We had quite a few ferals which showed up when we moved in, and of course the kittens started arriving. So I fed them, because of course I did, and when they started feeding from what we put out, we caught them and took them to our extremely good adoption center where they would be assured of good homes.
But one straggler stayed behind, and for all his life he stayed outside, intact, and happy. I fashioned shelter for him in the garage. And in the winter, we kept the door open a fraction, just enough for him to slide in.
He was his own man, never went after the birds or squirrels of which there are many…I feed them too. Never could get near him until the last couple of years (when I’d give him brushes and fusses which he loved) before one day he simply disappeared. I don’t want to know…
We do miss having animals, Raven…

Israel Update:
If you worried for my well being I am back. My last living sister passed away in Toronto and I had to go and take care of things which pulled me off. I am OK no worries. I am of the nature of always appreciating the good that I still have and removing worry of what I don’t. Life itself and health are the best gifts.
–Gaza: There are two who consider that the conquest of Gaza City (The City not the Strip) will bring about the defeat of Hamas: Netanyahu and probably Hamas.
The IDF briefed of some 2,000 terrorists that are in Gaza City waiting for the IDF. I am hearing strong reports from very reliable sources that it is more about 10,000 terrorists.
Until today when the IDF operated in stages, many of the terrorists escaped the fight zones to the humanitarian zones to preserve their lives. Some IDF soldiers did not see a terrorist face to face for months. Now Hamas seems to move into Gaza City in large numbers. They look at it as the biblical End War. They think that Netanyahu has gone mad. They are used to Israel succumbing to hostage threats and carful of deep urban war.
The attack on the foreign Hamas leaders in Qatar failed due to the use of too small bombs to avoid a mass casualty event. Possibly an advanced warning too. The foreign leaders are encouraged after surviving. But the Hamas in Gaza are in quite a panic of what is coming.
Netanyahu thinks that the fall of Gaza City would be like the fall of Jerusalem by the Romans that ended the Jewish resistance. A few strongholds remained in other zones but not serious.
The legitimacy and munitions and circumstances may or may not give Israel the ability to fight at the last 5% remaining zones at the Central Camps where most of the hostages are. But with 95% of Gaza in IDF hands, after months of clearing it, Gaza may be ready for a replacement of the local regime and to the US plan with the Arab nations (who may send troops and money to rebuild Gaza).
What can go wrong? Complications in conquering Gaza, if the Arabs like UAE and others will withdraw from the American Plans, etc…
Some are hoping that Trump will lose his patience and turn on Israel.
This is not likely. Recently Minister Ron Dermer, the right hand man of Bibi, was called to the White House to give an opinion about a matter that is not related to Israel. This shows me how the relations are close and how the team of Bibi is respected.
Without Trump, under Harris, Israel would have been in a desperate situation. The UN anti Israel resolutions would have not been vetoed by the US and we would face an International sanctions that could be detrimental to our economy and ability to arm and fight. The great relations that Bibi and his team formed with Trump and his team could be said to distinguish between a “Lion Nation” to a “Lone Nation”.
-This is more of a note than a report. I am hearing from my sources that Hamas rigged Gaza City with an insane number of explosives. Our forces will need all the payers in the world. After two years of fights they have better knowledge of how to deal with it but I hope it will not be a disaster.
-Reports that about 480,000 Gazans evacuated Gaza city so far. This is about a half. This is against Hamas directives who demand everyone to stay and be the largest human shield in history. Hamas also uses violence to prevent evacuation which is why not everyone is out yet. But the IDF is using a lot of firepower on evacuated zones to show it is serious. Also leaflets with phone numbers for Gazans to report where Hamas is blocking evacuations.
-Netanyahu mentioned in the latest Interview “surprises” against Hamas in Gaza City. If there is something like the Beepers or something else it will be critical. Otherwise the battles can be devastating.
-The IDF took down numerous tall buildings that we know are used for Hamas observations and snipers. The buildings were taken down after evacuation orders for each building. The IDF has already moved in carefully and slowly into Gaza City in some areas. There are IDF forces moving in from about four directions. Hamas may not fight and let us in and then use Guerrilla warfare from their tunnels and hiding spots. A report that “We are now in operational control of Gaza City could be misleading as it may just be the beginning of the battle”.
-Hamas said that they have moved hostages into Gaza City above ground to prevent the motion of the IDF. Originally they mentioned 8 hostages but it may be more now. The first in history to my knowledge of using hostages in such numbers in major war against an opponent. Unprecedented also use of local human shields in an urban warfare. Hopefully everyone who is not involved will get out of there.
-The political level seems to avoid shutting off the water and electricity to Gaza. This is an unverified report but I heard it from two different sources that are not related to each other.
Possibly trying to prevent a heavy international pressure? But one of the reports was a soldier in Gaza who was anonymous and said so. Didn’t want to move in without a siege. Maybe it will come in due time. I hope so. But Hamas have enough supplies to keep them going for many months. Still electrical shut off can prevent ventilation in tunnels aside for fuel operated sources. But I do think that once the area is fully surrounded the infrastructure will be damaged including electrical and water. We shall see.
-Heavy bombardments of the banks of targets that Israeli intelligence is providing from Gaza City ahead of the deepening maneuver. See some of my videos.
-UN Resolution to stop the war with Hamas still remaining in power. 14 of 15 UN representative of the UN Security Council voted against Israel , US has a great Pro Israel representative and vetoed it. Russia who is continuing their aggression with Ukraine and others is pushing Israel to stop. Hypocracy.
-Many drones from Yemen and Missiles. One drone hit a hotel, no casualties as it hit outside. Israeli Defense Minister in a message to the leader of the Houthis: “Your time will come, we will send you to Hell where most of your Government are already there. The slogan on your flag of “Death to Israel Curse on the Jews” will be replaced with a blue and white flag at the unified Yeman capital.”
-250 US congress Representatives visited Israel together. I see they were briefed in the area of Judea and Samaria as to the impossibility of having a Palestinian nation that could endanger the existence of the Jewish State. Geographically there are indefensible borders if that happens. I don’t know who was there. I am sure that mainly Republicans but not only.
–Lebanon: Regular almost daily IDF attacks on Hezbollah targets in South Lebanon.
What it tells me is that they are trying hard to rebuild their power close to Israeli borders and also that Israel is not hesitating to act against it and their policy is avoiding responses as to give them enough time to move and rebuild. Their arms and money are from Iran, a reminder.
–Iran: UN Security Council voted for the heavy sanctions against Iran due to its none -cooperation on the nuclear subject. The West Europe nations wanted the sanctions.
But there are ways around some of it. I need to dive in on it to see how significant it is.
I think it will be a heavy blow to their economy. China will have a harder time to buy and use their oil. I doubt that Chine has no way around it through a third party or so. Iran is still defiant. I saw a test of a new deadly kind of a ballistic Missile. No nuclear inspections are let in now. They are cornered internationally. Who knows How long it can continue. There are some protests in Iran due to hardship but it’s not enough yet. I read of a Mossad briefing with their Chief and Bibi. They got awards. The Chief said that their activities in Iran and in Teheran are intense and strong and they will be all over what is going on there. Some Mossad fighters were awarded for extraordinary actions in the 12 days war with Iran.
Note: Their ballistic missies can reach Europe.
-A Defense Treaty between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistan has its nuclear weapons apparently available as a deterrence to any force that may attack the Saudis. Note: the main threat was Iran which was handled for now by Israel and the US.
–Syria: There are reports of a possible deal between Israel and Syria in which Israel will withdraw from Syria except a couple of high spots on the Hermon Mountains by Israel.
I assume the US is pushing for normalization.
The Syrian Foreign Minister had a historic visit in Washington.
I am seeing videos of how Syria is turning into a Religious Al Qaeda style nation where schools are dedicated to reciting the Koran rather than advancing and science.
The Syrian army controls 60% of Syria. Israel has an area, the Druze have an area, the Kurds have some and the Allawites too. Under this regime there were massacres against the minorities. Many Christians and others were murdered and the Druze still miss some 200 or so people. Some were kidnapped, including women who become slaves and forced conventions to islam. We consider the Leader of Syria a deceptive crook. He was Al Qadea and we don’t believe he changed. The US is on the fence about him. Promised to lift sanctions and changed their mind. God help us from withdrawing. It will place jihadists on our borders. I watch videos of the Syrian Forces and they chant how they want to conquer Israel and “release Jerusalem”. It’s hard to even tell who is standard Syrian soldier and who is militia. They work together, all the Sunni forces.
-I guess that I omitted the Charlie Kirk assassination. I can only pray for his soul and his family but also for his nation. He was a great friend of Israel. I was a bit disappointed when he hosted Tucker and Magen K. In the Conference when they attacked Israel and blamed the Epstein fiasco on Mossad. But he has done so much for Israel that it’s a drop in a sea of the good that he did for us. When they chant “Globalize the Intifada” in NY and the world, this is what they mean. While there are some similar systems around, Israel has demonstrated how to shoot down drones, mortars, missiles of shorter range, etc… With a $5 per interception as opposed to a single Iron Dome missile that is $60,000. Israel has also resolved some issues related to operating laser in bad weather. Focusing a laser to a moving object and all the beam is focused on the radius the size of a coins is quite amazing. “88 Reasons for 88” was Edgar Whisenant, not Hal Lindsay (I’m currently reading “The Road to Holocaust”) nor Calvary Chapel. The 40 years error comes from mistaking the Luke 21 discussion (with the crowds on the Temple Mount) with the Olivet Discourse (disciples only).
Leviticus 26 lays out in depth what will occur in the future (from that day forward), and I have spent the better part of a year going verse by verse through the Bible focused on this chapter and Deuteronomy 30: it was meant literally, and the actual math works. What seems to be overlooked regularly is that there were three, not two, major punishments: the servitudes of the nation; the desolations of the sanctuary (Ark and Mercy Seat gone twice and not in the second Temple; Glory of the Lord gone/Ezekiel/ Yom Kippur ended; Jesus gone Luke 13:35); and the desolations of Jerusalem. Two of those three punishments are being visibly removed.
FWIW, if you understand Daniel 9’s 70 weeks, I located an interesting reference by Augustine of Hippo (in “City of God”) to a letter from Jerome, as the best explanation for Daniel. Jerome refers to Julius Africanus, who calculated the first 69 weeks out based on the Julian calendar, had he corrected for the Babylonian calendar he would have had Jesus arriving in Jerusalem on 10 Nisan on a donkey, 32 AD (Daniel was praying about the ending of the desolation of the sanctuary). Augustine calculated that Jesus’ death marked the 6000th year of earth’s existence, and thus the beginning of the final millennium and ending at the final week of 7 years, with the last 3.5 as the great tribulation/time of Jacob’s trouble.

I also recommend the One for Israel channel. Jewish Christians in Israel. Often they dive into Rabbinic interpretations from Talmud concerning Messiah. Good stuff.
I have also found the Targums useful in understanding how the Old Testament was viewed, as well as in understanding some of what Jesus and Paul were talking about! Context sometimes can be helpful, which can then be compared to scripture to verify if it is correct or not.

6000 years old at Jesus death plus 2000 years = 6000 years old?
And did Augustine really believe that he was living midway through the final millennium? Was that a church wide view?
It is sometimes very hard to put yourself in the thinking of other people. Especially when they are from a very different culture, with a very different language and lived one and a half, (Augustine), two and a half, (Daniel), or three and a half, (Moses), millennium ago.
And isn’t Leviticus 26 more promises and threats than prophecy? But then off I go again putting myself in the thinking of someone who lived thousands of years ago.
This is originally an Old Testament idea (Leviticus 25 Jubilee years; Psalm 90:4; Revelation 20 is referencing Isaiah 24). Paraphrasing Augustine: the world was created in 6 days, then God entered His rest. Augustine went through a lot of prior historians, and calculated the age of the world as being 6000 years on the date Jesus died. Augustine stated Jesus had to have died on a Friday because He then entered His rest also.
It became a church-wide view, but then appears to have been considered later to have been allegorical.
Ireneaus and Justin Martyr both wrote they believed in a literal millennial rule of Jesus, as King of Israel, on earth.
Augustine spoke neither Hebrew nor Greek (at least fluently, because he states that Greek has no specific terms for siblings; the earliest I can locate for this general idea comes from the “Protoevangelion of James” in the Ante Nicene Fathers). He is helpful for understanding some of the Roman religion (Revelation 9:11’s Apollyon is indicated by Augustine to refer to the demon Apollo, “son” of demon Zeus).
Augustine was not strong on Old Testament, probably because he lacked a lot of the resources we have and take for granted. We are incredibly blessed.
Look at Leviticus 26 as a non-negotiable contract that will be upheld. Then go through the rest of scripture and see when they are being blessed, individually and collectively, and when they are not. As Paul notes, the irrevocable indwelling of the Holy Spirit is never mentioned in the Old Testament, and only occurs after Jesus, fulfilling His prophetic requirements as King of Israel and High Priest, left as warned in Leviticus 26:27-28.
Matthew 5-7 were stricter instructions for Jesus’ disciples.
God is outside time (it is a physical property): over and over He gave warnings that He knew what would happen, wanted them (and us) to avoid doing what would result in punishment (God would have all men to be saved). The Hebrew camp the entire time they were in the wilderness was in the shape of a cross: He knew the price to be paid ahead of time, and was willing to pay it for the redemption of all who believe.
The world was created in 6 days, by God, the Creator of the universe.
Genesis gives the account.
And it was actually 6 days, not 6 eras, but 6 of our current days made up of a sunrise and a sunset.
1st book of the Bible, 1st Chapter, and 1st through 5th verses,
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.”
God tells us in Genesis 1 verse 5 that on day one of His creation week that He called the light hours day and the dark hours night, making them evening and morning on the day he created time as we know it.
God’s Word is just as real and true in the Old Testament as in the New Testament.
I agree with you, and disagree with Augustine as to the age of the earth (although evening and then morning defined a day). The 6 day creation is repeated several times in scripture. From a physics standpoint, it becomes interesting, in that the speed of light (and therefore time itself) may have dramatically decreased since creation. Scientist Barry Setterfield has some interesting observations on this.
The 6000 years amounts to the number of years before the millennium will begin, following creation.
This is a must watch. Educational and fascinating. A rare interview with the previous Chief of Mossad who was a very good one.
Note that I read between the lines that he wants to be the next Prime Minister and so he mentioned that he would like to see elections now. He has no chance in my opinion. A great Mossad person not a great politician. At least not in upcoming elections of 2026. Maybe later.

Our deepest condolences on your sister’s passing. I tend to look at the bigger picture, but your play by play is very interesting. For the most part, I see Israel in conflict, more or less, until Lucifer is bound for a millennium. Our spiritual adversary will always strive against the Christian and Jew until he is bound for a thousand years in the Pit, and then a final, short attack against the Holy City after which he will be thrown into Hell. The stickiness of war. Every week thousands are killed. We are also flirting with a WW. Obama/Biden started it to overthrow Russia first Putin. It was a stupid idea. Zelensky and Putin hate each other.
Ukraine is losing territory everyday, but Zelensky and his cronies are making millions. So Zelensky wants the war to continue. A ceasefire would allow Ukraine to rearm and train more troops. So Putin wants a capitulation not a cease fire. President Trump wants it to stop. But the US continues to send Billions of Dollars to fund Zelensky and Billions of Dollars worth of weapons.
It would seem the logical solution is for the US to stop the funding of the Ukrainian government and stop sending weapons. If the Europeans want to continue the conflict, Let Them. However, This logical course of action will tag President Trump with the loss of Ukraine.
Hence, we see the stickiness of war.
I vote for President Trump stopping the war by stopping the money and weapons flow and US targeting of Russian assets.
Both the US and Europe have such big internal problems, our focus needs to be saving the US. I go back to Sundance’s picture of the guy in the gas mask……it is going to get way worse. We have millions of illegals doing illegal things, we have millions of Islamists doing illegal things, we have thousands of criminals in the release and arrest and release system, and we have fruits and nuts running wild in the country. Throw in the Communists for fair measure.

I took care of Savannah’s package and treated myself to a massage. Having a Tamarind margarita, a meal, then home from a morning of Bible Study and errands to take a much needed siesta.
The little gal supplying the massage is SO STRONG…. the kind of friend you want with you in dark alleys.
Now I have to find something to brighten my office so it inspires HOPE and doesn’t smell like FEET. It stinks in my new prison.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 107
“God’s providential care of the children of men in distresses, in banishment, and dispersion. (1-9) In captivity. (10-16) In sickness. (17-22) Danger at sea.(23-32) God’s hand is to be seen by his own people.” (33-43)
(17-22) “If we knew no sin, we should know no sickness. Sinners are fools. They hurt their bodily health by intemperance, and endanger their lives by indulging their appetites. This their way is their folly. The weakness of the body is the effect of sickness. It is by the power and mercy of God that we are recovered from sickness, and it is our duty to be thankful. All Christ’s miraculous cures were emblems of his healing diseases of the soul. It is also to be applied to the spiritual cures which the Spirit of grace works. He sends his word, and heals souls; convinces, converts them, makes them holy, and all by the word. Even in common cases of recovery from sickness, God in his providence speaks, and it is done; by his word and Spirit the soul is restored to health and holiness.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

When we are weak – it is He who is strong

We go day to day stressed and strained;

By one failure and foible after another
The buffoonery boggles – sorely smother!
We start and stop till eventually;

What did we forget to consider or try?
This is not working – but we don’t know why!
Did we pray and ask and did we receive?
His gifts, fruits, and wisdom – did we conceive?
Or did we just think we could do without?

Why would we need any assistance at all?
We’re ready, willing, able – to answer the call!

Through prayerful reflection – dedicate your day;
Relinquish your effort – send your strife His way;
Prayerfully – carefully – just listen to Him;
Without His assistance – your chances are slim!
So next time you venture out into the world;
Take care to pray, first – lest you be unfurled;
Through the self and its plagues of centeredness;
You get dire deception and pigheadedness!
