In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the Donald Trump Administration and Presidency.
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

FDA does an “Ivermectin” job on highly effective sleeping pill, GHB, which is short for gamma-hydroxybutyrate.

Why not just use melatonin and ditch the drugs altogether.
.
Melatonin works somewhat for me, but it still takes me half the next day to clear out the cobwebs
Get a spray can of magnesium oil. Spray the bottom of your feet when you go to bed, Ask AI if you wonder what makes it work so welll.
Melatonin doesn’t work for me. Chamomile doesn’t work either. I tried Hampstead Organic Lavender and Valerian tea, and that seems to do the trick.
Being super active works .
Had a severe reaction when trying melatonin. It’s not for everyone.
Because it didn’t work for me, at all.
I read today that the FDA wants to put Benadryl behind the pharmacist’s counter like real Sudafed
Of course they want to control anything that works. Higher prices help the companies and China.
This belongs on the Open thread…
I know personally of a promising young student who died after taking GHB. Previously known as Fantasy.
Also used to clean CDs. I’m npt sop sure that its safe to use.IMO
Sorry, not sorry. My dad is one of the 400k people who worked on the Viking and Mariner missions in the 1970’s. He did optical engineering (star finding for orientation). He had hundreds of technical manuals in our house, each one 100 pages. Growing up in the 70’s I would read them and he would explain in common English what each chart or graph or formula meant. It made perfect sense.
Jim needs to realise that faking conspiracies has been around long before the internet. It’s a time honored tradition going back to the 1950s that people get off, and get paid, for writing ridiculous things throughout history.
Why? Because there is a market for fools getting separated from their money and trolling a stupid populace.
“Jim needs to realise that faking conspiracies has been around long before the internet”
I think you missed the total sarcasm of that meme.
My dad and his friends were engineers working for IBM on the Saturn project, and I can tell the same story. On rare moments before he passed, my dad would share the engineering challenges they had to overcome in terms of power, weight and size constraints. I’ve seen the complete system manual for the Saturn project as well as cast off circuit boards that didn’t meet specs. I’ve also read detailed histories of Apollo 11, including much information that was not released to the public at the time — all because NASA wanted us to think that everything was routine. It wasn’t.
Armstrong and Collins were extremely brave men. Buzz Aldrin is a brave man. My dad belonged to a generation who believed that any technical challenge could be overcome with sufficient dedication.
Moon orbiters of various nations have photographed the left behind part of the lunar lander, moon buggies and miles of their tire tracks. I took this meme as total sarcasm but there are regulars at The Treehouse who do not believe the US landed on the Moon.
What moon? That’s a wheel of cheese in the sky!
and your assignment is:
Trump: Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican? Now I love her ad. If she is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic

Little weird he said “now I love the ad”. Certainly, I know this is small potatoes on his list, but big stuff in the cultural war that all of us has been fighting.
Charlatan the Dog.
Much like the view, that d-bag has no business commenting on anything related to politics.
Jesus would weep. What a major ass clown he is. Knows absolutely nothing. You should look up his conversation with Larry Elder.
About this Presidential Fitness reboot:
Born 1956. Remember it well but not too fondly.
Got chubby after my tonsil surgery (?) and could do maybe 2 female pull-ups and was dieing by the end of the mile run.
Around the time we got married I gave up weed and alcohol and started jogging. That’s not running, but a little slower. Ran 3 marathons and numerous fun runs which impressed my kids enough to get healthy and keep their kids that way.
Even though I’ve backtracked, I endorse bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test.
When I was in school we had a physical fitness class EVERY single day. One hour. Started with exercises like jumping jacks, and toe touching and swinging arms, etc, aand then, depending on weather we played baseball or basketball, or dodge ball. They should bring back fitness to the schools. But……I hated it.
I’m in my early 60’s, female, and do 30+ plank pushups daily. If I can do it after starting with 2 when stuck inside during Covid lockdown, school-age kids can too
Great to hear. I agree that fitness ought to be a virtue of character measured just like GPA, moral reputation, test scores. You can measure it accurately. You can’t fake it. It should not be considered medical discrimination to decline employment based on BMI, smoking status, failed drug screen.
The impact on the medical community, insurance companies, demand from the population for help with health, and the impact on the food and agriculture industry would be dramatic.
Fitness should make an employee eligible for higher wages: The insurance costs are higher, the work output is better, the sick days are less.
RFKjr on one of Gates historical vax shenanigans. Don’t take ’em.
